The onmy difference for modding on Steam is the filepath, go to the game's properties and find the "open file location" to get the right place

I assume you were getting Etuwa’s headguard. She shares hair files with a lot of NPCs so you’ll have to replace her hair and all the hairs affected with different hair so they’re not bald

Hellooo everyone, I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my issue SO has anyone experienced this👇 problem with headgears?

I have several different mods installed for headgear (each for its own item, of course), as well as many others for other clothing items and more. At some point, while trying to combine the main headgear piece with an accessory for it, I noticed that my character's hairstyle (it happens with any hairstyle actually. also I dont use any mod that changes hairstyle) was falling into the texture, regardless of the chosen addition to the main hairpiece, whether it was modded or not. I tried removing several mods to see if the problem was with a specific one, but I didn't find the problem among those (at least the ones I checked and suspected the most).

Is there a problem with a particular mod? or has anyone faced this issue without using mods? and is there even a way to fix it?

And one more question, but on a different topic. Is this the right place to ask for tutorials? I want to try to recolor some clothes, and I'm pretty sure it's way different from recoloring ikran so i have absolutely no idea ho to do this and where to start

You need modloader for the game to detect the modfiles, everything Vortex does for the files is just put them into the right locations - but afaik yiu should be able to download the modloader through Vortex

Just curious, I downloaded this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/avatarfrontiersofpandora/mods/866?tab=description and it should have replaced RNF 01, which I have selected on my tamtey, but it's still showing the default RNF 01 pattern

I do have this creators bioluminescence pattern downloaded, and that worked, it was also assigned to the biol RNF 01 pattern so I'm curious if this is a case where I just need to download a file provided by the creator of that mod that assigns it to a different pattern

rename your gameplay folder to something like gameplay1 in order to disable the files inside that folder

and reload your game and see if that works

cosmetic mods shouldnt make your game load any differently, so hopefully its just the gameplay folder that's impacting your game

hii guys, I wanted to ask if there are any resources for viewing ikran skin recolors. I want to make more recolor mods for ikrans, but there are different patterns and each pattern has different color numbering. I mean, for example, for one pattern, “myColor1” will be responsible for the overall color of the wings, while for another pattern, the same first color will be responsible for the color of the stripes or smth like that. It drives me crazy to have to do this by guesswork every time and enter the game 150 times to understand what each color is responsible for and whether it looks normal. So, I wanted to know if there is any way to see the changed colors without logging into the game? Maybe open the skin model, apply textures to it, and see the colors or something like that??? I hope I explained myself clearly

in Nexus Mods, in the Files tab you can click the "Preview file contents" (or check the package contents if you download it). If the tree starts with "blue" or a "dlc" folder it's technically compatible, but also as long it doesn't have files like g_tap_torso_base_01_f_d(13).dds (the game won't recognize files with that numbering but Vortex will just install it either way)

The numbers only go up to 04, before the name changes to a different clans patterns

So p_rnf_body_pattern_01-04 should work, then you have to switch to the next clan and do those 4 (zeswa are ‘vlt’ instead of ‘rnf’, kame’tire are ‘tmp’ instead of rnf) - so they’d become p_vlt_body_pattern_01 to 04 and p_tmp_body_pattern_01 to 04

Most likely not any public ones at least, as that'd probably count as making a paid cosmetic free. It'd need to be "custom made" so that the headress is replaced with whatever you'd want to use, but I'm not sure if that's possible as I haven't looked into hwo the overrides work

they will only see your or their mods if your blue folders are the same, but you can still use different mods if they edit different pieces of gear and stuff. you could use a mod for the researcher shirt and the tap shirt and they would look different, but if you both use researcher shirt on different textures it will show the same texture for both people

like if you open up your first blue and open up your second blue and you don't have "baked" yet, then drag baked from the new blue to your active blue

and if you do have baked, then you drag whatever's inside the new baked into the active baked

I plan to add some things related to it yes. At least some type of notification about it since it's not on Nexus Mods

if people add it as requirement (the actual requirement field, not in the description) for their mods I might verify it by pulling that info there

Do you mean model modding? Afaik there isn't a guide for that yet, it's very new and I believe still quite experimental - it was cracked under 2 days ago, and people aren't sure of everything that can or cannot be done yet

Do you have the right clothes equipped? And can you tell me the exact mods that don't work (names or links - you can also see your download history on Nexus)

A lot of these (the first 4 cosmetic ones) only require one of the files - have you made sure you only have that?
I'd also like you to confirm that you have the cosmetic you want to replace equipped in-game (so for example equip the researcher shirt or ikran rider waistcloth from the cosmetics menu)

Nono, just go into the menu you choose cosmetics from and change on the cosmetic the mod requires

Apparently you need a specific blender addon and version and can only edit what's already there, not add or remove anything

I recommend joining the afop modding server so you can read the guide when one comes out

There's now a download tutoriak for raindrop (released 3h ago) and a link to the Blender extension, but that's about it

I'd guess you renamed your normal mode mods in order to make fta ones, and didn't make copies of the originals
