im not quite sure where to ask this, if im supposed to move the message just lmk; im planning to make a modded server to play on with friends. normally i'd use a mod launcher for - well - playing with mods, but from my experience i hadn't had better performance on any launcher other than feather, i've already played with mods on it somehow and it worked great. now i uploaded all the mods i needed to try if everything is working properly - i copied exactly what mods and versions the modded launcher had and kept getting strange feather crashes. it was mainly about the Create mod having some issues, but the game couldnt provide an explanation (the crash said that some mods are missing, when i added them another crashes appeared) therefore there is a chance the create mod is causing all of the problems however even after removing the mod the launcher still hasn't stopped tweaking. is there any possibility to fix this or do i just stick to the modded launcher? is there any way i can make the other launcher work as well as feather? is the list of mods feather has to optimize the gameplay accessible or is it confidential information?

But feather usually is better optimized than the official launcher.

If you'r gpu supports newer versions of Vulkan you can also take a look at the vulkan mod. (it's incompatible with feather tho)

For some reason when I play feather on 1.8.9. I cant hear some sounds like attacking, breaking placing and acople other sounds. But I can hear sounds like walking on wood, the minecraft music and clicking on gui things. Also this only happens on feather and only on 1.8.9. I tried out 1.8.9 minecraft on other clients and the sound worked. And no I dont have any resouce packs or mods enabled. If anybody could help that would be great👍

Thank you for confirming. Currently, this is a known issue involving a recent AMD driver. These are the only known solutions at this moment:

• Keeping Sodium/iris disabled.
• Changing your game directory to give a fresh installation. You can revert if it does not work.

I believe the shulker mod has been disabled for 1.21.8 and above. Not certain on what version it is available on though. Give me one moment to check!

I downgraded my AMD drivers to the previous version, and it still didn't work.
I tested Sodium without Feather, and it worked.
I then tried the standalone Feather Fabric mod, and it worked.
AMD has also not changed anything regarding OpenGL in the last few driver updates, so that is unlikely to be the issue.

Could you report this to your developers? It seems to have something to do with the Feather client in the Feather Launcher, and not with Sodium or AMD drivers.
