In most games how it works is you get card pack as rewards from events and features, I think in this game they'd probably also let you get them from running occasionally
and then that gives you the cards, there's usually multiple tiers of card pack too of varying difficulty to obtain

They spent over 2 years on it, they won't leave it after just 7 weeks of it being a huge success
Like the og game has an update approximately every 3weeks, but that's cuz it's got old stuff it can cycle through as well. Almost everything "new" for ssc is still being made. Yes there's softlaunch stuff (surfers, outfits, boards) they'll recycle; but they'll also be sprinkling in much more new stuff and have way less of a pre-existing framework to work with and build up from
