try switching to Vulkan on the Graphic settings, looks and behaves really good.
i do not think changing the render is gonna help a decade old gpu being pinned at constant 99%
I feel your pain, I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600X for SC... And 32gb of AM4 ram
I'm not sure how I manage to run the game tbh
Is there a way to lower the height that an ATLS holds a box in? I can never see where I am trying to place a box when loading the RAFT with one. End up ditching the ATLS for a maxlift every time.
tap Z for free look
position the ATLS in a good spot, turn on free look, never have box issues again
I wonder how long would it take to make back the money needed to buy a Prospector
depends what ships you have available and mission reputation tbh
I could grind HRTs in Pyro 111k a pop, 10+ an hour, so a couple hours
For industrial, you can rent a RAFT and stack haulage missions, for rookie rank 6x 50k per 25mins or so
was thinking to do some mining with the Prospector, then once i’ve sent it off to be refined I do salvaging with my Vulture
if I want to do HRTs i’d need to grind, and have a better ship for that
You can also keep mining, you can have many refining jobs at a time
I'm not an expert, but asteroids start right outside the ref stations, and I have had good hunts and bad hunts both there and on moons, but the moons are a little farther.
for the prospector the moons might be a better option as more chance to find smaller nodes you can mine
normally a few per cluster at least
any recommendations for moons?
Peeps rave about cellin
how is loading the caterpiller?
It's an acquired taste. Once you get a rhythm and a method, it's ok, never will be as fast as a C2 tho.
I tend to stack boxes in front of bays, then jump in the ship to align them
Optimal way to load the cat is 16 or 24scu boxes, it's fast once you get your method down. I use it for the senior hauling missions as it's ideal for those.
The fully extended ramps really helps
I don't normally load anything in the front unless I need to, sometimes I keep an ATLS there. The 4 main compartment can each hold 6x16 or 4x24 and 2x2scu boxes if you need.
so how do you get room to load it properly I know it can be a pain because the atls doesnt have a jet pack
I load with the maxlift
I only use the ATLS to move boxes around my hangar
@wraith ice old post, but this still kinda my method, obviously the doors open to the ground now. #industrial-professions message
thank you I see how you were doing it now
and nice paint as well
it is worth it to change Raft's tractor beam?
meh, default one can do
don’t even use the mounted one, use an ATLS and shove it in the airlock to the left of the pilot seat when you’re done
sometimes the Atlas is not an option, for those cases the RAFT's Tractor beam is quite good, better than doing it by hand at least
when would ATLS not be an option
when you have to deliver to a remote outpost and cant summon the darn bot
Atlas sticking to the RAFT grid is NOT yet on the Live
you don’t need to summon it, you can fit it inside the airlock left of the bridge
and always have it with you
There's a bug where ATLS cannot remove cargo that is on the RAFT, so that's a thing sometimes too
Okay, my biggest find ever lmao
jeasus christ
Hey guys, quick question. What’s the most valuable gem I can mine in a ROC, and where is it found?
Feynmaline, and the highest quantities of it are on Ignis, Fuego, and Pyro 4
practically guaranteed to be Feynmaline at every gem cluster
any one interested in the coordinates of 3 quan rocks, pm ofeers will show proof
is autoloading refined ore to your ship viable or does it void some ores
You shouldn't lose anything
Terminus also have many of it
Anybody want to take this rock for a price? Can't break it solo.
depends on the price
sent a dm
hi does anyone know any good hauling routes i can fly with my taurus?
Trading you mean ? Check uexcorp.space
mission lies lol
Hello, where do you recommend mining to get Quantanium?
gents i used to play this game alot during 3.22, got a miner and a reclaimer, havent played intill 4.1 and i did some missions and got upto 2m, what should i go for?
should i get a miner or a vulture?
if you posted on this channel i assume you want your next industrial ship
for 2.6m you can get the Vulture
Checkmate or Lorville
ty
Any of the big pyro stations, not just checkmate
ill buy it in lorville if its 2.6m there cause im already in stanton
is it worth salvaging abandoned ships at bunkers?
Often find good weapons on abandoned ships
any abandoned ship is worht salvaging, ..... not sure if bunker turrets will fire at you
also...
alrighty
the only component you need to change on the Vulture are the Abrade scrappers, get 2
On the VLM you want the middle 2 slots to be abrade as they're the default
Yeah
im using the rest of my time on my starlancer max to get a vulture
When you're setting it up if you put them in the wrong place you'll end up with them both on the same side lol
just replace the Cinch modules, its no brain
I usually keep 1 cinch with the tractor
meh
But yeah do whatever makes you happy
will almost for sure wipe all weapons and components from all our ships, just like the fackers did on 4.1.1
damn really?
that isnt in ltp?
kinda feel bad for those with the idris beams
cause arent those expensive in game
is it worth taking off the abrade scrapers before patch and putting em in storage or are they only like 12k
Abrades only cost 20k, coins... wont matter
They are, but for a large portion of the players, ship components are often lost. Shouldn't tho
oh just lost in db migration
honestly i can see why considering how big the db is i bet
still not okay
anybody know how much qt fuel a golem has? and how far i can get with it?
yep, I just picked up 2 size 5 attritions - they are expensive components!
Does anyone know of a good guide for a 3wk newbie that would like to start mining, but doesn't have any ships or any mining gear except the multi tool.
well caves but I would at least rent a ROC to get started
the ROC will allow you to get some feynaline which is a good money maker especially starting out - will easily pay for the rental and one of your own
then I would move into the prospector or golem - watch you some videos on it!
Is trading in a Caterpillar effective at making money?
Just a note that I did not lose my guns on my ship that I purchased in game when that patch dropped - hoping for the same thing again. I did lose them in a previous one!
Seeing that there are still untested things in 4.2 that are not enabled even for testing yet, I think it will be awhile before they actually release it.
How do I find out how to use one of those?
again, watch a video or two - its super easy to do and often very chill.
Alright, ty.
It can be a pain to load, but it works well. The separated compartments are nice when you have deliveries to different locations
What about standard trading, such as normal commodities?
Where you can use auto-load and off-load?
I never did any commodity trading with mine, seemed like more hassle than it's worth, too many issues with auto load/unload.
Yeah the doors drop to the floor now. Would be nice if you could hold them in the open but not lowered position but c'est la vie
ok I need someone doing a video of a full hauling contract with the caterpiller
is it 15 minute replenish times at admin terminals for stock?
Anyone got a workaround for the Hull C not retracting? Tried in and out of seat, shut down restart, cycled power, lowered landing gear all no good.
Checked to make sure my keybinds were ok as well
Seems bedlogging fixed it. Wen to sleep with it extended woke up with it retracted.
They turn the Prowler into a mini-cargo ship, with only 32scu LOL

It's not an industrial utility, most likely a combat one.
Drop off critical resources on battlefield to assist in battle kind of stuff.
Stuff that's not implemented, but doesn't need to be for the ship to work anyway.
Unlike an Expanse that'd be totally useless if released without refinery, for example.
better be cheaper than the Cuty Black or else...
No chance lol. That would be super nice to see though
It won't be
Refinery when 😥
Cheaper than Prowler probably. Like Asgard to Valkyrie.
380-400$
Instead of 440$ for drop ship variant
I love how CIG keeps adding stuff for ground combat/support but there's still no damn reason to use ground vehicles over ships
bet they just needed to pull out something for alien week and 2 or maybe just a dev came up with that crap
and we have the Raylen still on the TODO...
And the Galaxy, Orion, Arrastra, Expanse
I expect Galaxy next year, but without the Base building and refinery modules.
Expanse will likely be the first refinery ship.
Orion and Arrastra aren't even planned for before 1.0 atm.
I remember reading something that the Galaxy would share a lot of the same assets with the Polaris?
Arrastran't
Not really, that's the Perseus and it's also the reason why it was moved before the Galaxy instead of Polaris > Galaxy > Perseus that we had planned before
Galaxy shares more assets with the Zeus, more civilian looks
Dorito
well maybe the cargo elevator would work if I could offload this human, lol - how the heck did he get in there? I tried to transfer him back up but it say's hes blocking it so I can't save him - hahahaha
a better question would be how the heck did he got out of the cage...
either way its really screwing up my delivery now -
assuming you are on a station hangar... did you tried the other terminal?
No i am at an outpost - no choice here but to walk away and swap servers I guess
sad
commodity trading still worth it?
There's decent routes, particularly Pyro to Stanton or Pyro outposts but ofc the extra risk associated. Manual loading is recommend, there's occasionally bugs with auto loading, particularly the Hull C. Just don't invest all your credits at once lol.
You might prefer hauling missions for risk free transport, financial risk that is...
er i dont want to do those long routes
Can i get into mining fairly easy as a new player?
seeing a bunch about renting a ROC to do so or having a prospector being the only viable ways
ROC will get you started, no problem. Can rent it and a ship to cart it around fairly cheaply
question
Is anyone using the https://virpil-controls.us.com/vpc-vmax-prime-throttle.html for industry related flying?
i'm working on a hauler mission and it wants me to pick freight from were i'm located at then move it to another but when i go to the elevator to get the freight it does not show anythin
Anyone here stuff a golem in an asgard for mining with a friend? ive used the asgard as a pseudo carrier with a fury for bounties but we are thinking of using it as an escort for mining. Just dont know how realistic it is with like exiting/entering the asgard.
Most of the escorting you need is forward scanning and sweeping for griefers around refineries
Campers and opportunists around POIs will be the most frequent threat
ik that. Just curious if the golem fits
Oh. No idea
Is there anything on Bloom I can mine FPS?
!fit
I guess the Golem isn’t on the list.
maybe in a cave?
Aight, time to bite the bullet... I need to start mining Quantanium, and a lot of it... I have a Prospector at my disposal and nothing else. Could somebody give me a crash course on mining Quant?
your allowed to scrape ships that were abandoned?
if so how can u tell its abandoned?
boy, I'll tell ya my first time in awhile using my C2 in the game to run a commodity run or two has ended in me losing time and money. The state of hauling commodities around is horrible, from long wait times loading to places that have no demand, etc. even using uexcorp I managed to just get whooped tonight. I made more looting derelict outposts, and pulling guns off downed ships
yeah not worth it anymore lmao
Anything is "abandoned" once ya start scraping lol
for sure - I am convinved none of the devs actually do any hauling! The rules have changed and not for the good of the game as far as I can tell. I posted earlier how I managed to send a "human" down the cargo elevator, well that borked the rest of load, everything I put on the elevator disappeared.
i dont wanna get a crime stat anari
As a salvage veteran, I go for stuff that's obviously damaged first, then if I find an intact one I'll ask in global
If it's sitting with shields down it's free game imo
how do u see if its shields are down?
and what are good spots to salvage?
cause im scraping currently
Target it
yeah
Tbh, Pyro POIs are often good salvage spots if you're willing to risk it
wanna stay in stanton cause im close to orison
Hmm. Try the PAFs or OLPs maybe then
I would head off to some of the POI on the moons you'll come across ships out there
Target lock the ship, and you'll see on your MFD
Most folks won't target salvagers, but you can encounter a hostile player
If that happens, just boost away in a straight line tbh. Use countermeasures as you need, and once you're at max boost speed swap to NAV and get outta there
But it's considered common courtesy to leave salvagers alone for the most part
scanning says shields are down but when i try and scrape it it says target shielded
Just target lock it, if it has the funny barrier looking things around it on your hud or mfd then it's shielded
Don't trust scanning for component activity tbh, its buggy at best
👍
so i guess that outpost just didnt like me
and immediately started killing me
tresspassing ig
what are those?
pafs
i only used to play during 3.22 lmao
Ah they're these sites that are used to align a big fuckass laser, which you can shoot to open up a hole with rare gems inside
good to know im not the only one who uses fuckass laser
are they on the ground or in the sky?
and will i get shot at?
Since they're hotspots for both PvP and PvE, there's lots of abandoned ships there
cause i went to one and my ship yelled at me for a contact
Probably a red player, sometimes there's NPC ships up near the laser platform (OLP)
Other than that there's only ever Nine Tails on the ground
i see
my mole isnt cracking rocks and is underpowered for some fucking reason
this happened earlier with a 30k asteroid
i think its a bug but i have no idea whats going on
33% resistance is pretty high.
General formula is (power * 5)*(1-resistance)
so my loadout wouldnt be able to crack it?
Your setup could break a ~42k mass rock @ 0 resistance
With 33% and low instability, you'll top out at around 29k
What gadget did you put on the rock?
damn, all the ships i find have their shields on
High instability is just a fact of life for Quantanium.
A Sabir would likely make that mineable for you but you would have to roll the dice with the instability
how do you deal with ships with their shields on?
Shoot em till they're soft dead lol
Only if they press charges, but even then it'll be a CS2 at most which you can pay off
thank you, i am new to the mole
Haulers - What ship mounted tractor beam do you prefer? Is there much difference? I'm currently using the Suregrip S2 that comes stock on the Zeus CL but I was wondering if there's any sense in upgrading?
I prefer fitting an ATLS in there somewhere
like on the RAFT, you can manage to jam the ATLS into the airlock left of the bridge
Ive really tried to like the ATLS man but its sooooo fucking jittery and janky
It'll often be on fire or sparking, visibly damaged
It might have bits broken off
You can also scrape hard deathed ships but soft does just fine
RAFT's Tractor beam is one of the bests i've tested.
Is there any way to tell what you grabbed with the Raft Tractor beam? For other beams it tells you what you grabbed, raft stays blank.
are you sure?
beacuse mines do show the label, the color may not help with visibility but its there
Yeah pretty sure it works on at least 2 other ships with tractor beams i tried, but Raft only shows the outline, no size or stats at all
Are there caves in pyro where you can hand mine janalite?
Any sand cave
Oh okay thanks! And is there a site where I can check the amount of caves or probability of spawning it? I tried regolith but I couldn't find any info
verseguide.com has the locations of every cave, but not sure it lists what type it is exactly
That works for me, awesome! Don't mind some actual exploring
Any EU players want to tag along with some group salvaging? (So long as servers aren't faulty)
Getting going in 30 mins, send me a DM if interested (looking for group channel seems to only attract combat peeps sorry if not allowed here)
Use #1359583196521435400 #looking-for-session to play with people
Fuck wrong channel
Hey guys, just rented a Prospector for a day to try out mining game. My first run netted me a cool 6k credits. Yeah, i would have earned more if i gathered a few handguns and sold them. Any advice on how to improve my yield. Now keep in mind the ship is rented so i can't change the loadout.
check this, vid is a few months old, but nothing had really changed since then
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2W56X1GjY-s
In this Star Citizen Beginner's Guide, we’ll dive into how to make money mining with a rented Prospector. The MISC Prospector is an excellent ship for earning credits, and I’ll cover everything you need to start mining with a rented Prospector. I’ll go over what materials to mine, where to find them, and how to sell your ore.
Websites Men...
TNX
I just wish you could mount the ATLS's tractor beam to ships, I love the way it works but I had operating the ATLS lol
Atlas is faster once you get the hand to its ways, but there may be occasions where Atlas is not an option, having a onboard tractor beam is really handy, is that or doing the job by hand.
@dusk topaz o/'
doing Cargo mission on your Cutty is easy and profitable
- go to Seraphin Station, set your spawn point there.
- open the Cargo (Hauling) missions
- you may need to do a training mission if its your first time
- afterwards, look for missions paying exactly $50k
there will be 6 missions, 6x50 = $300k thats what you will gain
they all require you to grab cargo from Seraphin and deliver to the planet's airport
easy
well
my cutlass can only carry 12 scu on grid and 24 with off grid and 28 if i squeeze them in
once done, and on the airport, you will get a mission paying $75k to grab boxes and deliver to Seraphin, the cycle will re-start
that's why i rather choose the C1 spirit over the Cutlass, C1 can carry up to 114 scu
just take less missions
i heard u can get a free one from the alien man
yes... but thats a long and painfull road...
oh
no such thing as free
less pay but more fun, go for it
well i wanna take the fun road
.... kinda.....
Cargo Hauling is fun but not as fun as shooting people in bunkers or watching a MSR explode into a million pieces
give Attritions to your Cutlass, all the weapons
yikes attirtions are expensive
you can do the bunker naked wih only a pistol, ha i used to do that...
looting everything i need from the corpses
oh yeah i also have a dragonfly
useful, some bunker turrets will shoot you from distance when you approach;
land and go in the bike
and my cutlass also has a medbay in the back
then is the Cutlass Red...
that's not suit for combat...
well.. you can do first levels of Bounty Hunting
then use the Titan
and that explains the lack of cargo, Cutlass Black has more cargo
titan has less dps and health
the only diff in combat vs the black is that red has no missles and no turret but i run solo anyway
and the red actually has 5000 more hp
full attritions if you can afford them
sometimes you can find abandoned ships having them,
pull the weapons out of it using your tractor beam, and you will be able to put them on your ship;
nothing better than free weapons
rn i only have 30k so no but i have full gear to do bunker running, ill load up my dragonfly
maybe ill find a dead hornet or smt
thanks
anytime
if you are doing bunkers, buy a 1 scu box from the Cargo area of any station
take the box to the bunker's entry and down the elevator
is to put inside all and any loot you find
besides any gear you need
you want Weapons and Heavy armors, those are sold good
alright i will, also which factions pays the best? Foxwell, Eckhart or MT Protection?
they are kinda the same on stanton, theyll pay more when you rise up your rep with them
Bunker missions always say on the title: Protect or Defend Something
ik ik
This has probably already been answered but idk what to search sorry: I refined a yield of 25.62 quantanium, but after sending it to my inventory I have 27 SCU. Do I actually have that or am I being tricked?
Yeah you do, it round up to the nearest container size
Although I'd have expected 26, not 27 but don't argue lol. Free shit
Yeah, just don't want to accidentally scam someone when I set up a sell ad
Anyone know where I can refuel on terminus?
Ruin station.
If there's an outpost that can refuel, it'll have "Landing Services" on the starmap when you click on it.
Oh nice thanks!
Wait wait wait wait wait. Are you saying I’ve been dragging shit to my razor or titan and getting shot to bits in the process and barely escaping with my life, limbs, and with a huge haul of gear…. When I could just store it in a container at the elevator on the OLP?
can you do that to sell all of the loot at once?
yeah... xD
yes you can!
?
at an store who sells both armor and weapons, Everus has one, Seraphin too, Baijini doesnt sadly
neat
with the cost of size 5 attritions - yeah free is super nice!
guys what mission actually works for the Hull C experience rank
anyone here do big mining fleet stuff?
Its a gamble, and its server dependent. If the server is strugling, i would not try.
I got a Cutlass Red, i got a F7C Horner mk2, now what do I buy?
now you play the game
IN GAME
Yeah ? Still, #ccu-and-fleet-advice
I mined a few SCU of Quantanium between several prospector runs. I think alltogether there's between 6 and 8 units. I was gonna just unload it with all the rest, but i see people selling the stuff on marketplace. So, should i stockpile it and sell it to the players instead? Why is Quantanium in demand right now?
Also btw, is there a way to repackage refinery products? I have like 14 different orders of stuff like gold and Taranite. Mostly stuff like 4.3 SCUs and the like, is it possible to add up all those chunks below 1 scu into boxes together?
It's used to trade for Polaris bits with Wikelo
Needs 24 SCUs for one bit.
Total 50 bits for a Polaris, so 1200 Quantanium
Just keep in mind when the new patch comes kn you will lose all that
There's no wipe planned for this patch afaik
Correct, but cargo and refinery orders are lost with every patch
Oh, what about money?
No
Patch is in like, a week right?
They'll rush it cause they need it for the Alien week which starts today, in 90 mins
Wait, are you saying patch will be in 90 minutes?/
Well, there's no in game event, but there's a new Prowler variant. So they'll have to release it before the next 7 days to be in time with the alien week.
No, more like "they have 7d to release it starting from in 90mins"
Hopefully they are gonna give us a heads up or something.
Keep an eye on #sc-patch-notes . When you see a Release Candidate (RC), it's coming in a couple hours/days.
Thanks, i guess i'll just keep mining for a day or two, I'm using a rented prospector atm, and i also need to rent a Cutlass to move the cargo, so i'm trying to be efficient with it.
That's the way
24 hours rented cutlass could probably move a weeks worth of mined material easily. So i'm trying to squeeze as many hauls in there as i can before i rent that cutty.
What’s the best cargo ship in game is it the Taurus or is there something better
For medium cargo. I know there is just a large jump from the 100+ SCU to like 500scu
RAFT
RAFT would definitely be in the running now as long as your delivery routes aren't through a rough neighborhood. Its a lot of easy to load cargo for the price
Taurus is still a great all-arounder
sucks the beam for it is kinda broken
https://upload.superintendent.me/u/9Dec7m.png
ive been playing fuck fuck games with my vulture for the past 30 minutes trying to get it so both abrades will be equipped at the same time, now there on the same level and the ship fucking changes what one it uses so its offset, any idea how to fix this?
either Alt + A or Alt+S to turn one or the other off.. right click the mouse to change the one that is online, and then alt+whatever to turn the other back on and you should be good
then try right click
yeah you turn off an arm, then right click to change the one that is online, then turn that other arm back on to get them both on the same cycle
ty
I vote the Asgard as best all rounder cargo ship
that fixed it
I wish they would number the ports in the mobiglass
you have the controls hints on the right side of screen when entering salvaging mode
It can easily carry over 300 SCU, has decent guns, and with a few upgrades, decent shielding too
Second +
wait what?? record was 300 lasttime i checked
You can hang 32's out the side doors if you take your time
402 ? darn ! Congratz !
make it werk!
To be fair, it took two people working together to lock it all into place too
just evaed to get a prospector ore pods off its hull so i can finish scraping it
thats super cool
Stuff like that is why I love this game. It's the kind of sim I appreciate.
yeah
im doing some hauling, ive made the mistake of buying 2 32scu boxes of nitrogen for my asgard, but I cant get them up the cargo elevator at hurl4
what do I do
any advice would be greatly appreciated
if you already have the boxes down your hangar in HUR-L4, go to the admin terminal and sell the boxes there
or... did you wanted to take them to sell somewere else?
you will need a big hangar for that, meaning calling a big ship like a Hercules
i only have a cutty black and a bike, the asgard was *"Borrowed" * from pyro
guess im cooked lol
sell the boxes there to get part of your money back
ok ok I will, ty
dont think I can
no demand?
nope lol
just wait about 15 mins, demand will update
been waiting on demand all day, tried to run the explosive fuel in pyro and absolutely nothing lmao
but
i will try
do you know about the multi-300k cargo missions?
no? what sthat
- go to Crusader or Arcorp
- bring your ship to the station (Seraphin or Baijini)
- look for Hauling missions
- if its your very first hauling time, you may need to do a 'trial' mission, after completing you can:
- look for missions paying exactly $50k, there will be 6 of them, so 6 x 50 = $300k in total
- take all the missions you can, its about 90 scus, you may have to do some magic to fit them in the Cutty, but i believe its doable
- or just take less missions, they say how many scus to carry, do the math
- all missions are to deliver at same location, down on the planet on the airport
you can easily do a $300k run in half hour or so, maybe 40 mins depending on hangar queques..
i think Microtec also has this missions
How do people feel about the Zeus cl for cargo - I'm looking at it rn as an upgrade to my spirit as I feel limited with the 64 capacity, but still want a mounted tractor beam turret. Mostly do hauling contracts
in paper, the C1 has 64 scus cap, that's true, but...
in reality, you can fit up to 114 scus in the C1 Spirit
if you want a better cargo ship than the C1, i would suggest the RAFT
I don't know how people load and unload 90 SCUs in 1SCU and 2SCU containers like those rookie contracts use in 30 minutes.
Last time I tried to to do the Baijini -> Riker spam, it took me ~hour per trip. I must just be slow.
Of course that was also with the old RAFT. New RAFT without the cargo hooks might be easier/faster now.
we dont do the boxes by hand, we use either the ship's tractor beam or the Atlas to do the loading
using C1's onboard tractor i can fill it 114 scus in about 15 mins
using the Atlas i can fill up the RAFT in 10-12 mins
ATLS slows me down. Always puts boxes in the wrong spot for me when using third person and can't see shit in first person because the box is in the way. 🤷
Will try again with the RAFTs tractor beam now, but I've been running the Microtech Member loop in the same time it took me to run the Arccorp rookie loop previously.
does the raft have a tractor thats not terrible?
its just a matter of practice and determination..
i also did not liked the Atlas at all, made a few tries and said, meh..
but then i decided to really give i a try
and i like it, you gain a few mins compared with the ship's beam
yes it does
terrific
i know that theres a bug where it makes it want to pick up the cargo elevator itself
hahah yes, but that's common even to the Atlas
My c1 is an lti referral lol, I can't melt it, only upgrade. Not that I'm complaining, it's been an amazing ship for the 1 year I've had it, just want some more space. How do you fit 114? Just put the boxes in without having them snap?
snap all boxes you can, then put boxes in the middle un-snapped, also on the 'room' between the gate and the ramp door
you wont be able to walk away, but you have the onboard tractor beam to clean the way when you be unloading
If the Prowler Pee Uuu had the S5s back and the same maneuverability as the stock Prowler I'd buy it in a heartbeat despite the low cargo. It'd be a fun, niche ship.
I'll give it a shot. I've had problems with boxes I've just tossed in ships before (big boom) so I typically don't like to do that but let's see if they have fixed it
Hey guys 🙂
Following 2 Problems: My Cargo on my Prospector is 0/0 SCU - bags are attached (at least visually) but even when i suck up some rock, it says 0/0...
2nd Problem: i can't equip my Hofstede Laser+Module. The Slot is empty, but when i equip and apply it just stays empty... I even crashed and Reclaimed my Ship on purpose to see if that fixes anything - but no, its completely cooked for whatever reason
you may need to reclaim your ship:
- when on your hangar: hit the self destruct and run!
- claim back the ship.
yes they fixed that to a point, but i never had that issue on my C1
After that, just break and mine some rock. If even that does fix it, destroy the ship, change shards and THEN claim it.
is a 35% quant rock decent?
Depends on total size, but if you can break it, why not?
Oh no im in a vulture, was just gonna see if a miner in global chat would pay for the location lol
Dont think general scan is telling me that
I see ore %'s, instability, and power transfer
Its bigger than my vulture
They probably will be interested
Dam
I wanna take a break from combat since its impossible with the current state of the servers, all I have is an Avenger, Cutlass Red and a F7C Hornet MK2, what's a good profession that doesn't involve combat and makes decent money? And what's a good ship for it?
Will try that 😅
Hopefully it will help you. Worse case the new patch drops and the issue is sorted anyway
You can rent a Taurus and stack some smaller hauling missions
Or you can rent a prospector and try to quantanium mine, sell the refined SCU to players, market price can easily reach 100k per SCU
Not the easiest to mine quant in a prospector though
Im not mining unstable shit again that stuff blew up the second we landed
Quantanium gives you 25minutes from when you scoop the first bit up. As long as you know it you should be fine
well... it didnt work. I let the ship self drestruct, changed shard, claimed it and i still can't even equip a god damn laser... without laser i can't tell if my cargo problem is solved...
Dam
okay, i think i got it... turned out it was the Laser all along (for whatever reason)
since i couldnt equip it via the Mobi, i called the laser through the freight elevator and mounted it manually - now the laser is correctly attached and the ship shows its 32 SCU
Nice
I'd really like to have the Mole bags on my ship, but for that i'd need a salvage ship first to get the Mole Mission or Some1 with a mole that wouldn't mind to let me gut theirs xD
Or just buy MOLE bags in a refinery
really? is it that simple now?
Yeah
seems like not every refinery got those
Could be. Check !itemfinder ⬇️
Use the website to search for any item (and where to obtain them) in-game.
do you know the exact name of the pod by any chance? or did they nerf them to 8 SCU?
nvm... i was blinded by the volume, not the capacity... xD
Is cargo working RN?
The whole game works, just maybe not the way you intended or even wanted it to - is the best answer I can give you. Missions are the most reliable, you'll fight long auto load times OR manually you'll fight the cargo elevator - either way, you'll have fun and enjoy winning or losing time & money in game. I would advise everyone to team up with someone to help break up the inevitable joy and pain this game brings to you. As we all know, the win is always so good.
any idea why I can't scan this rock (or the other +25 rocks) that I found?
How much does a single unit of janalite sell for? UEX and such are only showing 1SCU which I'm not even sure is accurate.
1 gem is 1/1000 of a scu
So janalite price/1000
1scu of janalite is 15,255,700 at ruin
So 1 janalite gem is 15,255Uec
You could also sell it to players. I've seen prices from 1m per to like 65k. Unsure where that normalized.
anybody know anything about the arrastra? like when its coming out and stuff
cause that spacestation in the background looks sickkk
Only CIG themselves would have any information on it. No work on it has been listed at all.
Anyone else run into the very annoying issue of the station not paying you after delivering the cargo? I loaded up my cargo, went to HUR-L1, went to the cargo station to sell my stuff, got it all ready, went back to my ship to unload and once I was done and sent everything down the loft they didn’t pay me and it said I still needed to load my cargo onto the loading dock (that same cargo the the station had now taken) and didn’t payroll
What did I do wrong
- you unload your cargo to the local inventory
- then go to the terminal to sell
less prone to bugs this way
Wdym to the local inventory
Oh wait unload then go sell?
Damn alr
RIP 500k
313k left
And a dream
both are cool, honestly i think mining makes more
The Fortune isn't a fair comparison... the prospector should be compared to the vulture.
From there, vulture is about 400k every 45 minutes.
Prospector varies wildly from as little as 3k an hour to well over 3 mil an hour, depending on luck, skill, and persistence
During the refinement process where its listed "To do" and "Done" is that measuring in SCU or cSCU?
think cscu
Anyone know off the top of their head what the max rock sizes are for the golem vs the prospector?
Fortune vs Vulture
With salvaging as slow as it is now it just makes the fortune with its single scraper a pain tbh. Vulture all the way
Hey, how do you access the caterpillar left tractor beam?
station behind the co-pilot seat I think (might be downstairs)
Can the MOLE be used for salvage? Like can you swap out the mining laser for the salvage?
It cannot
No
What’s the best ship for salvage other than the reclaimer. That ship is way to big and annoying
The only other 2 right now are the vulture and fortune (both solo)
Is there good money in salvage?
It's okay but consistant money
Ok GGs thank you guys
Starter salvage ship is inc as well, so the cost to enter the loop will be much lower
Is there any idea of when they will allow you to swap the mining heads for salvaging heads?
I don't think that is a planned change, the processes are completely different
Never
That sucks because the mining ships are so much better but it seems like a much harder process in terms of finding ore to mine.
That’s actually worth the money
They are going to do a revamp of the whole salvage game loop and there will be additional salvage ships released.
Both loops have their ups and down
Golem I think goes up to 30-32k with using all tools available to you. Not sure about the prospector.
when?
also can u put mole bags on the prospector
Only CIG knows
Used to be able too, not sure if it is still a thing
damn alright
where is the best place to mine in stanton?
cellin?
cause im kinda tired of doing orbital shit
Does HUR-L3 have a cargo deck compatible with Hull C trading?
It does not
Yes you still can but you need to redo it every time so remember to remove them
wow ive had my same prospector for 4 missions and 2 atmosphere entrys and its getting scuffed
neat
Various places have different benefits, there is no one best place. All places typically have a “higher” chances of 1-2 high tier type of mineables
Lyria, Cellin, and Daymar are typically popular, but you can mine at various other areas and still have success.
My personal favorite is Lyria.
Arc L2 to refine, Lyria to mine, A18 to sell.
I heard the vulture lets you put boxes in the back and you can cheese the rmc limit. is that true?
Vulture lets you do what feels like an illegal amount of cheese
12 scu cargo, 13 more in the buffer, another 6 off grid next to the 12 figure you can get another 4-5 easly in front of those stacks... I recall there was a way before of pretending to print a box only for it to get blocked allowing for 1 more box so like 36 easy... more if you're crazy
Sits it fits with vulture and you can do around 22-24 SCU in the back + an additional 13 in the buffer.
and you still have head room above the cargo to put some s1 guns or some small thing you pluck off ships
im scanning like crazy on daymar and i cant find any rocks
You push it to that point tho u risk going boom.
And also remember selling components and guns still only gives like 10 percent of what the guns are worth
i don't know how vulture stuff works (i know how to scrape), can you elucidate?
How long have u been scanning?
I only collect ones to give to org mates or use for upgrades.. selling comps/guns has been ruined
Do u know about the filler stations on Savage ships?
no sirree
found a big fuck off worm
so
guess i found something
lmao
Wait what?
what else do u want me to say
worm
from ground
fuckin around
shot it
now its dead
found beradom
Ok so basically salvage ships have a physical storage, and then what we call the filler station, basically a non physical storage on the ship.
As you scrape/disintegrate, that fills up. Once full, you empty that into your cargo area.
oh does it print like the reclaimer?
The filler station lets you salvage a certain amount of SCU (13 for vulture and 240 for reclaimer) before you need to exit the pilot seat and empty it
Yes, it works exactly like the reclaimer, just on a much smaller scale
you're the best, thanks. I know what to do now 😎
Way u said huge worm made me think Apex Valkkar lol. Which shouldn’t be possible rn. Guess u found a juvenile lol.
Ship mining? Yes.
better thrust for vertical takeoff or maintaining altitude
some ships are heavy and physics requires the engines to point downward Like the raft
All ships have the vtol mode. Most ships don’t have actual VTOL tho.
So unless ur in one, nothing.
It gives you more thrust pointed towards the ground, allowing for better atmospheric flight and better vertical acceleration at a 0 degree attitude.
ATM they aren’t required to be used on ship to take off or land.
i have it on my prospector cause im at like a 30 degree angle from the ground
actually handles better
It’s useful in the prospector
in 4.1 and earlier I had to turn on vtol to get the RAFT up, in 4.1.1 it seemed to not be the case. But they're doing more work on atmospherics so eventually you'll need it
Prospector, all Cutlasses, Connies, Raft, Mole, MPUV (I think), Idris, and Reclaimer have them.
was not expecting cutty to have that
Might be forgetting a couple in there. But those are the big names
C1, Intrepid, maybe Vulture i think...
The main thrusters on the Cutty literally fully rotate
ok thats sick cause ive never seen it do that and cutty thrusters are sick
Vulture does not.
But yeah i forgot the crusader ships.
Spirits, Intrepid, and Hercs
Those have them
hofsted is the best laser right?
Vulture has 4 vtols but they're built into the body so they dont articulate
i need to get with a mole crew because dayum im finding rocks that are like 100k in value and i cant break it
cause
prospector
should i go to pafs for abandoned vehicles and there orbiting stations or should i just stay to gilly mission sites for doing abandoned vehicles?
live a little, do both!
Hofstede is the best laser for beginners. Helix has more power but significantly shorter range
would helix help me break rocks that are like 30/50 scu total?
Helix gives you the best chance at cracking the biggest rocks, yes. But you need to pay a lot of attention to the small cracks when it's just above 10SCU (and can't scoop yet), since Helix will overcharge it very quickly and easily if you aren't careful. You should be at min power and max range away then slowly creep forward
damn alright
Helix with reiger and focus modules is a good simple combo, until you feel froggy and want to mess around with active modules. Don't forget you can use gadgets as well, which is also a strong tool to keep in your repertoire
Can a rented mole crack much? Found a couple quant rocks today and they were all "impossible" with 2 of us trying to crack them
Rented means you can't swap lasers or add modules, right?
Right
According to Regolith...a stock mole's power is 7200 max pwr
You could swap manually, but that's pricey
My mole has a power of 12,300
so I'd say it could probably tackle 30k and under rocks with two lasers
Would a pair of prospectors be greater than a single mole with 2 miners?
i think so, yeah
multi-ships increases the instability, and I'm pretty sure the size decrease is not good either
I have a prospector, and could afford to buy my bud one for a lot less than buying a mole and we'd both be able to scout.
I noticed today when a 2nd laser joined from my mole the instability also went up
a solo prospector w/ a helix and some mods can get to 3,780 power...so two prospectors with the ability to mod/change stuff up is probably better
yeah, lasers from multiple ships increases instability. but that is counterable with gadgets
to some degree
cant gadgets get every rock down to breakable?
There are monster rocks out there, too big to break alone
I have very little interest in mining, but will need to take the plunge to build a Polaris. If only my quant hunting option was still available
You can always reach out to a mining org to see if they have someone selling quant
So today we just tried our hand for a good 2 hours and came up empty using a rented mole. Was pretty frustrating
Yeah, at 125k / SCU, I'd need to do a ton of cash grinding.
That's 150mil
Yeah, it's not ideal...but you may have a reliable gameloop for generating income, while mining is hit or miss
Ehh, I can make like 2mil/hr. Not sure how many hours it will take to farm up 1200scu of quant.
More hours than your 2mil/hr loop, I can guarantee that
Blah. If it was still found on ERTs like it was in 4.1 from 2-20scu per ship, it'd be fun and reasonable amount of time
Quant has a pretty even distribution at around 5% AFAIK
Plus no refinery nonsense
and quant can only be a certain % of a rock's mass, so the really big breaks would need a fully crewed mole or two
so you're looking at sniffing for small chunks and piecing things together slowly...I still think ERTs or whatever you like doing is a better/more efficient route
could some one tell me the different between the multi tool tru hold attachment and the two handed tractor beam?
basically power output. The tru-hold can't lift the largest of boxes, and it struggles to move boxes very far away from you. The Maxlift can pick up just about any box, but only for limited distances. The ATLS treats boxes like they are made out of rubber bands that have been primed for launching across a room, at any size
I'm not actually sure. I haven't tried. I think it's not supposed to be able to though
ahh thanks anyways
Yessir
thank you
Yeah I am pretty sure I have before.
Yes it can just slowly (particularly rotation)
When loading my C2 I just javelin them in lol. No need to rotate
Doing Hull C hauling between Terra and Magnus stations. Is it normal for QT jump to just stop without warning mid jump?
I'm talking like several times
weird, thank you for confirming. Must just be this server.
SC keeps giving everyone their own unique set of features
It really does 😆
That means you are hitting the barrier between two servers and the transition is timing out. You may want to try a different region.
Oh interesting. I'll have to try that. I'm in NA on a US server, but I'll try EU just to see if that makes a difference.
Nice the Golem fits in the Polaris lower hangar
Well it works just don't get into a fight, vehicles in the cargo bay get destroyed lol
bye bye broken golem lol
Had the same happen in my asgard lol. One missile and i needed a new roc and a new m50
odd, seems like vehicles in bays arent protected by its shielding
yall know how to do the cargo retriaval missions
Not familiar with these missions, do you have a screenshot?
Oh cool, is that new in PTU? I've not seen this mission before
There should be a box to pickup somewhere and then bring it to hex
Unless the PAFs have freight elevators?
Oh yeah it does say freight elevator
it needed key cards and stuff
I have been Hull C cargo runs for a few weeks now, would any heavily experienced Hull C cargo runners tell me if they feel it is more beneficial to wait for the "unable to transfer, vehicle must be stationary" or to keep moving and stopping?
Just try to be as much in the middle as possible and exactly level horizontal and vertical within the box. I recommend powering off once you're stationary
yeah, ive been doing this already, and it does work most of the time. The issue I run into is when it completes (on rare occasions) after only unloading for less than 1 second lol
I have never been able to save it when that happens. I think it is bugged on the loading end when that happens
yeah the Hull C just sometimes flat out refuses to work
I can get most of the contracts to work, but when it says "complete" after only dropping off less than 100 SCU, that, thus far, is not possible to save
At least with haulage all you lose is time, I never trade with the Hull C anymore I lost too much aUEC
I never even thought about trading, to other players?
I mean commodity trading
there's some bigs profits to be made but they're such high risk because if it fails to load you forfeit the cargo
Yeah and the only way to really garentee you can load it safety is by doing it yourself.
And then you still have to sell the stuff to
Which can take a bit of time.
so yeah I don't get the hauling missions because I'm affiliated with CFP. I'll have to check my alt who is HH affiliated!
So if I made a PO (Purchase Order) for a Hull C and instead of undocking it just magically vanished leaving all of us in space regardless of whether or not we grabbed the cargo thats just 5M gone isnt it?
as long as you don't leave the area you should be able to call the ship again (if it was stored)
It disappeared randomly into thin air the fleet manager said Unknown location and Claim was the only option
idk what CFP is but alr
it's the opposite faction to Headhunters, Citizens for Pyro, which means I am hostile to HH, hence no HH missions
Citizens For Prosperity*
It disappeared randomly into thin air the fleet manager said Unknown location and Claim was the only option
Seems the money and SCU are just gone
Merchantman is less of a scam at this point
@thin axle yeah I get the missions with my other character, going to try now 🙂
lamo this is fun
i had to abandon that one because i had a enemy that was unkillable and couldn't find the cargo
the freight elevator is here:
it was broken i guess then
yeah broken - no cargo
it doesn't even go down
yeah broken mission, I'll see if I can find an IC
i think like atleast 2/3 broken idk about the lowest one
Did you search the F2 star map? You can QT to your ships maybe it just ejected you but kept goingm
using the turret to kill the NPCs was funny AF tho
idk if the medical ones work its like a space staion type thing
it was like 119k for me
that's at the OLP right? I didn't try that but assume they also have a freight elevator somewhere
it was the cargo retrivale one
the laser was all setup in use so I didn't want to mess around getting into a fight with an org lol
yeah it says to collect from one of the OLPs which is the laser satalite
so there should be a freight elevator somewhere but those sites are pretty heavily guarded
inside and out
The out, if not player guarded, is pretty free.
I might give one a go next time, there was like a sea of red when I flew near 😄
one solo spacedad in a cutlass gonna get ripped apart LOL
No it disappeared from the docking port, the ship didn't exist after it had to be reclaimed and never had cargo on it
yeah i think all of em are kinda broken
Maybe fixed in 4.2, will check again. Always looking for interesting hauls lol
yeah they pay better and are more fun
Found and contributed to an IC so it has 8/10 now...
Any ships that require docking seem to be a bad idea at least until there's more stable servers, hopped servers and had no problems (still lost all my money)
can anyone recommend a Prospector loadout for quant mining? I'm a total mining noob but I want to get into it
heres mine - I feel its the best!
awesome, thanks!
you might also wanna check out regolith.rocks - will let you load stuff like in my screenshot and test diff loadouts and gadgets
with my loadout you should be able to break 12-15k rocks - I think my tops was a 19k but its more about finding a decent amount of quant and top tier stuff, then making sure you get back before she blows!
if you're in stanton, try Cellin - it isnt everywhere like in pyro but it does spawn there fairly regular
refine at ArcL2 for a quant bonus and sell at orison - enjoy the hunt!
Arc L4 has a bonus for taranite at the refinery, so if you cant find the quant you might wanna do that instead...and again enjoy the hunt!
up to 38k: helix, surge & stampede
make sure you bring along sabir gadgets
if I've stuffed my cutty so full of gold that it sounds like someone is dropping silverware down the stairs am i in danger of going boom
help i cant activate my mining modules
Sure it has charges left ? Land and repair, see if it helps.
just getting in and out helped
in any case check out my mole, love the wear and tear
That ship worked hard
been up nearly a week
brand new to mining, confused as to why i dont have any charge or optimal zone for these rocks in my mole, are these rocks intended for smaller vehicles? attached my loadout incase its relevant
thats not it, there's a larger rock that is showing the charge zone even from the pilot seat
it never shows the charge zone when you scan it from pilot
?
ive already sat in every turret
then that rock might be bugged
my theory is that the rock size is intended for size 1 laser and below?
If it's outlined in Purple (sub 10 SCU materials), you can extract it directly
cellin has had some buggy rocks recently
that too!
Also, if you're running solo your Impact head is totally pointless.
It's set with modules to run as a powerful mining head, but you already have the Helix which does that better.
Replace the modules for an extraction head or the whole head for a low power head (which Hofstede should do already)
Last thing, use regolith.rocks to make mining loadouts, much more detailed than Erkul or spviewer.
hello industrial players, please tell me ur favorite trade routes so i can pirate you and steal all your processed food
Question: how much cargo can the Crusader MSR hold in the hidden room on the side? is it shielded from scanners also ?
It's only 2 SCUs.
And shielding isn't implemented
ah
Anyone done cave mining recently? Lucrative any?
how do i use the beam on the raft
You don't. It's just a large flat grid
sorry i meant tractor beam
Ah right, that's mb.
There should be a Enter Remote turret button somewhere
i cant find this thing
no but if you're gonna do it, grab a hoverbike can scan inside the cave to check what minerals are there
Cool. Any chance u can fit cargo onto any of the bikes?
Bikes have internal storage but that means emptying your backpack into it constantly, pretty inconvenient
is on the top floor, front left side
thanks
lucrative not really, and I find the caves to be quite pointless yet somehow I have been doing it regardless of the revenue - i'm still in search of the janalite that once in a blue moon will spawn making every worthless trip seem trivial...
bring a atls geo to scan the hole before wasting alot of time - then go explore it anyway - why? I dunno I think I just like caves, lol
Sand, Rock, or Acidic - me go see
Also something about Kopion roaming around down there is fun...maybe one day a boreal stalker will pop out and I really will crap my pants
Anyone confirm if loading refined ore onto a raft is borked in anyway?
found out autoloading the raft will infact bork your cargo. It overlaps them on the grid in the same spot.
And the raft only shows 4 SCU available at admin terminals now.
just had 500k worth of mining get destroyed because my freelancer max doesnt know how to go up an elevator
the work around is call it at the asop then immediately store it then go to your hanger and call it.
is it worth mining titanium?
i see alot of people mine titanium on regolith.rocks but
i thought it didnt pay well
A lot of people only mine for the big paying ores. Others find something they can mine and mine it regardless of what it is. You'll earn money either way.
Auto loadokg seems not fleshed out. Can barely autoload shit on my Taurus. Always have to go to my hangar and stack itmore effectively
Btw why tf is the atls so funny. Im just throwing my cargo at all times
hey guys do we know if the hull C bug is just on the 700k missions? (as in the bug where the timer doesn't go down.)
or do the 600k missions work fine?
700k missions work fine
thanks it's been doing a stupid infinity time bug where it never changes and i only get like 2 peices of cargo
work around if u know?
Do some ships just not have as much meat on their bones? Ive scraped about a quarter of this Asgard and ive only gotten about 1 SCU of RMC
yea salvage contacts aren't worth the price you pay
look around yella astroids
Oh I havent done salvage contracts in many a moon
I hunt for abandoned player ships in pyro
salvage has been nerfed and nerfed to the point of uselessness tbh, it's further nerfed in 4.2 apparently less than 4scu off a large panel now.
20k salvage contracts you barely get 1scu off them and the weapons sell for 100cr or something lol
It's almost like they don't want players to do it - perhaps salvage just costs too much server performance
I find the money you can sell ship parts for is a massive joke. 250k for attrittions but they sell for like 1k
I know they did it because of duping but really need to find an actual soluition instead of just deleting a type of gameplay
Salvage contracts are quite useless, going for a search on your own is now the way. Either look for panels, align with someone with a SRV to pull abandoned ships from outpost armistice zones, or go to Hathor and try your luck there.
Cant be that hard to add a marker somewhere to weapons you take from player ships vsNPC ships and atleastmake Npc parts a little more worthwhile
Im just chilling at harthor a lot with a Connie parked driving arnd in a vulture
Or Salvage the Gilly Gauntlet kills
make sure its only gateway to gateway
and try moving in an out of the box
if that doesnt work
i would either wait the timer out and request a new spot or switch servers
Hello, so question. I have a friend, and put him in one of my vultures, and I took my other and we went and did a legitimate salvage mission, but for some reason when he emptied the queue of the vulture he was using it marked it all as stolen. Is there a way to not have that happen so that he can sell things since he was using the ship with permission?
was your friend in a Party with you at the time?
if so, he would had the proper permision
He was, yes.
"One of your vultures", as in, you got one vulture that you claimed and retrieve twice for you and your friend ?
Or you actually bought and own two Vultures ?
Anyone well versed with the Golem or ATLS-GEO?
Just ask
How much money could one bring in with say a 1 hour mining expedition with each?
I saw a video of selling a full Golem’s worth of raw ore for almost 80k
I’m not really after “the best” or most efficient form of mining, more so just the chill aspect of doing in it a smaller vehicle I enjoy
I have two. I let him take out the one listed as Vulture, and then I took the one listed as Vulture - 2
I’ve had issues where if the person who mined it isn’t the one dropping or selling it it’s given me that issue
Even though both ships are yours
Alright, that's good.
If at any moment before your friend sells the cargo you're not in party, the cargo will be marked as stolen even if you reform the party. You have to be in party the whole time, from hoping into the ship to selling.
If you were, then it's a bug and there's nothing to do about it.
I think we were but I may also have left before he did, but I will keep that in mind for next time, thank you.
is atacamite worth anything?
!tradetools
One-stop-shop for everything trade related in Star Citizen: best trade routes, best mining spots, etc.
Anyone got any resources for finding good hauling routes? I've got a pretty good one at Microtech from Tressler to some of the mining facilities and NB which nets me about 600k in 45 minutes. I'm wondering what other good ones are out there.
So what CAN the GEO mine..
I'd imagine smaller rocks that give gemstones, those will fit in the backpack. Similar how the ROC(s) work
that Gneiss is about the size you'd use a Golem, Prospector, or Mole for
Hand mineable and ROC mineables
Earlier today I went mining on daymar, I spent around an hour looking for anything good to mine but all I got was obsidian, quartzite and other dog shit ores, is this just super unlucky cuz yesterday I had decent finds
Mining depends a lot (too much) on luck.
aight just making sure i wasnt glitched or some shit
wel... server performance is also a big part, you may have better luck on your next session
im thinking about getting a golem once it is released into ingame shops, how does it compare against the prospector/is there anything i should know about its limitations? i was planning on getting it soley because ive heard it can fit inside the C2
made 40 mil off mining in 2 weeks
where on microtech can we mine
Everywhere and it depends what you want
But I recommend you the moon calliope
thinking Dolivine on microtech
Dolivine more simple in caves because it's only in FPS
For finding caves you can use verseguide
And id you want to mine with roc or geo in Stanton I recommend Arial
Also hadanite is better
Thanks for the help man i'll try that
Never sell raw ore always refine it. And for geo you easily find fenmaline on terminus
Alr thanks mate, is roc mining on microtech itself possible
Yeah it is not the best but possible
You can loot the porcentage on regolith website
I looked and you will find most boradom and glacosite for roc
150k approx for one scu of beradom
And 100k for glacosite
And fenmaline is 350k , where one scu of hadanite is 550k
Does the reclaimer have larger salvaging heads than the vulture? I know theres only the 3 kinds of heads in game
wondering if it actually scrapes faster
Yeah it's size two
And don't confuse head with modules
The best is abrade be susd it middle ground good speed and middle efficiency
Yeah i run double abrades on my vulture
just trying to decide on a ship to grind for
reclaimer an obvious choice given salvaging is my preference
but ive heard it has some design struggles with the way the game and cargo currently works
It has some struggle you can quickly enough get used to, but the interior will never be good until it gets the rework it deserves
And also not good solo
I want the reclaimer myself but unloading it is pure pain.
yeah it need a rework
hey anyone here mind answering some questions about hauling?
Only the ones you ask.
are missions not shareable until after you do the qualifying mission?
No you should be able to share missions. Sometimes it doesn't work for cargo missions.
Most of the time lol. Welcome to SC
oh really? thats unfortunate
how does one go about getting crew to help them? what do you guys pay your crew?
Ask if anyone is looking to join up in game chat or in #looking-for-session
I don't know what most people pay but i wouldn't be joining up without an even split myself
ok cool, so evenly split the cargo profit
and as for hauling contracted stuff vs regular stuff which is better
actually, if you are in party with someone, taking cargo missions, if you share the mission, the pay will be automatically split in half
if i cant share the mission maybe its time to server hop.
contracts are better if you are just starting hauling
buy an Atlas for easy load/unload the boxes
starter contracts have lots of boxes sometimes
yeah 8 scu from seraphim to orison
there are 6 missions like that, all paying $50k, you can fit all the cargo in a Cutlas Black, a Freelancer or a C1 Spirit.
you'll get $300k per run, all delivering to the same spot
oh what wow
do I need to do a qwualifying mission in each space zone just like bounties? (e.g. microtech, crusader, arccorp?)
yes
ok going to do the qualifying ones at all three and then see what pays the best
is there any cargo route that utilizes hull c and cargo loading vs manual box moving?
they all pay the same, but the 50k missions may not be at all planets, Hurston doesnt have them if i remeber correctly
ok is there any mission that I can auto load my ship like hull c at station without manually moving it
no, and auto-loading is quite propense to bugs, meaning: cargo lost, no refunds, mission fails.
specially for the Hul C
so im over in arc corp and i have rookie arccorp missions available but not a qualifying one
cool, maybe they removed that, good catch!
You can make more hauling regular stuff. But its WAY more risky. Also you can do it using like 32SCU boxes so
You dont even need a crew.
Like it honestly probally isn't worth it.
If you do do it, I would recommend a 60/40 Splitt of the profits down to the significant risk investment. Maybe even 70/30
having to split such low profit is one more reason to stick to missions or doing it solo.
by the way, shared missions are automatically split among party members when completed.
if im hauling it myself, and its my own cargo, can I fast load it or do I need to manually move it
Commodities you buy or sell can be loaded/unloaded automatically, you must arrange this and pay the fee at the commodity kiosk.
Hauling missions (contracted cargo) must be loaded/unloaded to/from a freight elevator, the only exception is using the Hull C at locations that have cargo ATC.
but hull c is super buggy yeah?
Hull C is more RNG than Wikelo armour sets
8/10 missions don't fully load or unload and 1/10 won't load at all, then you have potential docking issues, ship despawn randomly and if you do commodity trading and it fails to load you forfeit the cargo and lose your money. Otherwise it's great 👍
what is the fastest way to gain hauling rep? (currently junior rank)
doing the missions
the rookie ones or junior?
junior
Each rank the rep doubles there or there abouts so it's more efficient to do missions at your current rank.
Do you like to gamble ? there is a few cargo routes payouts spend 10m on cargo get 2m profit
Guarantee to fail at least 1/5 so never going to be an income lol. Well, unless you manage to make 4/5 successful I suggest quit whilst you're ahead!
lost over lots of money in hull c when you get black screen of death
Hull c works great if your in the right place at the right time. Also I suggest just grid covalex missions (hauling) because it's a low risk high reward. Once at senior+
Usually not all the cargo registers vut you can still get 500k for most of the cargo unloading.
rookie 50k missions is $300k + an additional $45k mission to the same spot, plus the $75k mission you get to return to the station..
$420k in about 30 mins, 40 depending on Hangar queues.
Station -> Planet Airport -> Station
Moving 50+ boxes sux donkey balls tho
that's true
My top loop was the 6x member stack at Microtech 90 x3 and 99 x3 but still a lot of boxes lol
3 locations so sort out what's going to each stop. Takes around 45mins
I can also do the Hurston senior 3 drop mission in about 30 mins, 325k in my Caterpillar
i use all cargo ships to buy a sell at mic L1 to cru l1 the cat/star max /raft that makes me money buy in bulk
depends i'm doing the seniors and i'm getting 500k per run for most of the contact.
last night i got real lucky and the missions actually completed and i got the full payouts.
Fingers crossed
🤣
i'll actually be making bank then
we can dream
yep
