Emote issues

@gleaming hedge @old ridge @old ridge are you using any other extensions like FFZ or BTTV. because the new 7TV app completely replaces the chat which can cause conflicts. please try disabling them and seeing if the problem persists

Ok yeah disabling ffz lets my other emotes show when using : however it's still vastly inferior to the inline tab addon for ffz and then I also lose things like audio compressor and such, i'll try mess around with some ffz settings to see if I can get it to work because it's not really worth the tradeoff currently

let me dig around a bit I think I remember there is a fix to keep FFZ but dont remember what the setting is called

you'll need to refresh after disabling the setting as well otherwise it wont work

sub emote suggestions don't seem to show when using colon. it still displays the previewed emote if you type the full name though

i disabled everything emote related that i could find in FFZ settings. not sure if it's a clash with FFZ or a thing with 7tv

@snow oasis Unfortunately seems separate to what i'm getting, i'll show pics in a second

First is with ffz enabled you can see it doesn't show global twitch emote elegiggle or my subbed channel giggle and :ome only shows those 5

Second is with ffz disabled and you can see the difference, there is some conflict but haven't been able to pinpoint what setting it is as of yet

and I hope I find it because without compressor my ears bleed every time Forsen breathes into the mic

@slim eagle Dunno if you're still having the issue but it seemed to be the 7tv profile generated in ffz had a blank rule and wouldn't activate, I deleted the blank rule and now it works like my 2nd pic where ffz is uninstalled

i don't have a 7tv profile and there are no rules in place

@slim eagle Ok that one i'm afraid I don't know for sure, it auto made it on mine, and it seemed to work for that other guy Maybe a fresh install of 7tv and see if it makes the profile

reinstalled 7tv and FFZ but still don't have that

weird, it seems like FFZ saved changes to the default profile even though i reinstalled it

maybe that's why the 7tv profile didn't get added? idk

You might be able to import the one from mine, only other thing I could think of would be deleting your default profile, I did that once myself but I can't remember for sure, i've reinstalled 7tv so many times the last few days between nightly and such looking for the fix

Or ask in #help-old to see if anyone knows why it wouldn't generate, it may be some other clash of settings

If you're on firefox you'll wanna install nightly or you'll get duplicate emotes in the list and sadly mozilla screwed up the review so we can't get the update
