Hi i'm havinngan issue with 7tv not letting me log in via discord. I get this error when trying {"client_id": ["Value "" is not snowflake."]} but the client id its using is not my discords client id. Plus you cant make a new account under the same name
So i thought they haven't created a new account yet
Maybe the endpoint wasn't updated yet

Enabled channels is currently disabled, Unlisted means either it was rejected for public use or the mods haven't got to it in the queue yet (which is the case) and rejected personal use is a state that means that its not available for personal use or application of personal use since it doesn't have 50 channels (in which this one is given to all new emotes)

channels thing is intentional because we migrated our backend

unlisted will change later, its usually a state for emotes that can't be public or non-moderated emotes so far

rejected personal use is just normal for all new emotes

it only changes when the channels in use hit 50 channels, someone will apply the emote for personal use which means use across ALL channels

Hey guys, I like 7tv, but I have a problem currently, its not always load up last 2-3 weeks. So I need to restart page once or 10+ times till it load up.
So its looks like that, no icon. The worst part? When it's not load up my chat clear itself after 0.5 seconds.
It's probably updating chat each time it tries to load up, cuz after some times its finaly reload whole page(not just chat) and loading up

Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I see emotes in other chats except for one; it has 7TV emotes enabled and it worked fine until yesterday (to my knowledge). I still see seasonal emotes in the chat that are labled as 7TV emotes, but no other emote. (So GIGACHAD for example works in all chats but not in this specific chat)

So I saw some reports on the FFZ discord as well and it was fixed for people after X minutes (for some it was after a refresh, others after waiting like 15mins and then refreshing)

My first hunch is that the API is having an issue returning data for a channel and caches that for a while (I am pretty sure you guys cache the endpoints )

But again, just a hunch. I don't know your guys' code but if it's still an issue even after moving to a better infrastructure...

It was in reply to the messages above mine in regards to emotes (sometimes) not loading in SE (and by that extension, also in the browser)

I've had a few reports about it in the FFZ Discord that people weren't able to load emotes on some channels and the fix was to just... wait it out and Ctrl+F5 after a few minutes.

I've not changed anything in the code of how the addon is fetching the emotes from the api endpoint, and I don't think SE did either.
That's why I said my hunch was that maybe in a rare occasion the API doesn't return correct data but still caches it.

Plus, it doesn't seem like an issue that's being reported that often so yeah.
But Anatole said that caching is disabled if emotes fail to load so that doesn't sound like it's the issue...

I'll see that the next time someone reports it on the FFZ discord I'll try to get some more info from their browser console (specifically the network tab) - maybe that'll be of help

Went on the website to check, and wasn't logged in.
Clicked on Sign In and a popup for the Twitch auth came up, with a 504 NGINX error.
Waited a bit, tried signing in again, that worked, albeit very slow
Then refreshed my channel and now it returns the data correctly

there is a bug in mongodb that causes queries to be randomly killed and i was hoping they fixed it since i saw the issue got marked as fixed

but if there is such an issue as channel emotes not loading, it's likely to be the culprit

although the cadence of such errors are fairly low (about 1-3 per minute - which would explain why it isn't reported often, especially since the lack of caching causes an immediate retry)

I've had some very weird issues with my current main emote set. At seemingly random points emotes will get renamed to other emotes without any logs showing these changes. Additionally, there are emote name conflicts that dont actually make sense, as seen in the screenshot (slightly nsfw so I spoilered it). Is there anything I can do about this? Do I need to remake the entire set?

it's a bug with the extension but only in Chrome. It hasn't been fixed because that window doesn't actually show anything useful
