you can assign a different emote set to your channel to replace it if that's what you want to do

Hi there. I uploaded 3 emotes a couple days ago. 2 of them show the preview images, 1 not. They are Christmas versions of emotes but I can't replace the regular ones yet as these new uploads appear to still show as Unlisted and enabling them replaces the original emotes with nothing. Additionally, on a 4th emote I tried to upload, it just says "100%" on the submit button but never completes (The emote is also a xmas version of another emote with the same dimensions, frames and size) Is there a fix for this or perhaps just wait a day or 2 to let the update you did settle?

OK so with regards to the 100% thing, the properties of the upload are well within the recommended; especially since it's just a recolour of an existing emote already on the site.

Also my first (and main issue) isn't covered on that flow chart. All the emotes are working fine, just the new uploads that seemingly haven't received approval that aren't appearing. I tested both in a channel I moderate where the xmas versions in an emote set are replacing the regular versions, as well as on my own channel where I just enabled them on their own. (Doing things like Ctrl+F5 or incognito with just 7tv enabled had no effect)

OK update on the 100% thing. Looks like even though uploading gifs used to work, converting to webp did the trick.
GIF stats were 596kb 266x128px 51 frames 10fps
WEBP was the same but 232kb.
Although still kinda annoying gifs no longer work even when within the other bounds, oh well.

Still stumped on the other issue though 😦

@lavish shard OK so I have figured everything out and turns out it was a bunch of things combined that were messing me up.
So I reuploaded BeardHug and that fixed the issue of the previews not appearing;
The window I had open for moderating just had FFZ who apparently only JUST added the setting to Hide Unlisted 7TV emotes (unfortunately this is on by default instead of off);
Lastly, even when I turned this setting off to show them, I was running tests for the emotes appearing on my own channel, but I had added the emotes to my main Emote Set and yet the active Emote Set was one I had named "test".
So all in all just a big mess that seems to be all cleared up now.

I'm pretty sure it is not syncing with out twitch name due to it not being the main connection to the account. You can try remove your youtube and discord conenction and that will make your twitch connection the main one. You can add them back again if you want.

does anyone know how to do emote sets im trying to make a christmas one for my streamer but I cant figure it out so far ive made a new emote set and copied all his main ones over now how do I get a christmas set to merge?

There's an easier way to manage seasonal emotes:

1. Keep the main emote set as it is. No need to change the emotes inside, no need to unassign it from the twitch channel
2. Make a seasonal emote set, preferrably with just the seasonal emotes, no need to copy the rest of the non-seasonal ones
3. On the 7tv account page, head over to the main set, modify it by clicking the wrench icon at the bottom left of its preview, then use the Add origin feature to set the seasonal set as the origin

This way, the seasonal emotes in the seasonal emote set will replace the ones in the main set. You can see them at the back of the main emote set.
If you want to add or remove seasonal emotes, just do it in the seasonal emote set, no need to modify the main emote set

There are many Christmas versions of most emotes.

There's no automated way to swap them over (because people want different versions of each emote)

But you can add them to a new set and add that set as an "origin" to your main set

A temporary feature/bug that was introduced recently, but dont worry, as long as your connections are correct, nothing is changed majorly

you might be able to fix it by removing the kick connection then relinking it immediately after
but im not so sure that there will be no problem or bugs occuring during the process
i'd say leave it be until the feature is removed/ bug is fixed
