3000x3000 is the recommended resolution for album art when publishing music kek

I'm not sure what downsample algorithm 7tv's image processor uses, (maybe bilinear) but it can make thin lines look a little jagged

Bilinear is basically required if you want to upload a 1x size pixel emote at 4x though. Bicubic would make it smudgy on the downsample

When uploading gifs (which you shouldn't do) then there are advantages to uploading larger sizes. The low number of colors (when dithered) get averaged out during the downsample, making it look better
