We have strongly considered the different angles to approach a role like this but ultimately decided against it. In this game of social deduction, dead players end up potentially having perfect information, and letting them back into the game is problematic as they can at least identify their killer. Even in scenarios where they might be silenced or otherwise hampered, the resurrected player will still have the ability to circle or fart over their killer. Trading 1 Goose life for 1 Duck life will tend to break the game, as the Geese outnumber the Ducks. We have since removed the ability for the living and the dead to communicate to allow for the feature of role reveal, and don't plan on moving in that direction again anytime soon.
but maybe i'll change it even more now with the medium
my only problem with this is how haunted places work its not haunted because a body is there its haunted because the ghost is there so with that it would only make sense if the ghost was in the same room they were killed being the only time that aspect can be triggered
Falcon
Gets a random player at the start of the round that they have to kill
After they kill someone it chooses someone else for them to hunt
They have to kill everyone until there is 1 person left
Ducks are targeted last
Falcons already exist in our Dine and Dash mode
The Investigator(Goose Role)
Features:
- Can investigate bodies to find the role of the dead person. To investigate a body you
must stand over the body, use your ability, and then wait a few seconds.
How This Role Changes The Game
For geese this role would be able to remove claim space for the ducks. It would also make sheriff kills and dead lovers easily separable, and be able to also separate two separate kills and lover kills.
For the ducks, if caught standing over a body, can claim to be the investigator investigating the body.
For either party, if a dodo is found dead, they will no longer be worried about accidentally voting out the dodo.
The Illusioner(Duck Role)
Features:
- Can activate their ability. Once activated, any kill during the ability timer will create a
illusions which will fake tasks as if they were a goose. - If a lover is killed, both bodies become illusions
- The AI could theoretically work by selecting a random task on the map, move to that task, wait a couple seconds, and then repeat the process
- The creation of a hologram will make the body extremely translucent for a certain amount of time
- The Illusioner is unable to vent
How This Role Changes the Game
For geese this role would make unresponsive players be seen as dead and they would start looking for a body. This also would be an indirect buff to medium because they would be able to tell when the body was killed, despite the illusionists greatest attempt.
For ducks this role would allow them to walk around the map not doing tasks because “they thought that XXX was an illusion” and they would be able to claim that someone died earlier than they did because they could say “I saw XXX acting like an illusion for at least Y seconds”
For vultures they can eat a body before anyone can see it
For pigeons they would be baited into infecting a hologram instead of a player and giving them an uncertainty on how many players they need to infect to win.
Detective Goose (buff) :
Can see chalk outlines of bodies that died during the previous rounds until the end of the game.
Not coloured ones ofc
Just white chalk outlines
Parasite Duck:
Can use ability on bodies and makes them appear as alive for 10 seconds. the body won’t move and will just stand still while it is transformed. Once the 10 seconds is over it will become a body and can be eaten or reported again.
Raven:
Neutral Killing role
Can go invisible for 10 seconds (20 seconds cooldown)
Can move corpses around (while invisible)
Goal is to be the last one standing.
Undertaker/Crypt keeper- Reveals all dead peoples' roles while the Undertaker/Crypt keeper is alive
side goose
Mental/forgetful/Amnesiac bird. Side: Neutral until he chooses a Role/Side. Ability: Can choose a dead person's role and becomes that role.
Radioactive Avian:
Neutral Killing role
Always spawns in the reactor area 10 seconds after the game starts.
It's slower than other goose (By like 3-5%)
Coming into contact with this role exposes you to radiation.
Exposed targets die withing 3 seconds and spread radiation.
Win Condition: Kill everyone
same as town of salem ngl
Well, people can just go to the reactor after spawning and see who the radioactive avian is
Oh yeah
Maybe this role can only be available in random starting positions
Like mimic is unavailable in blind ducks
Like the problem with this is that if somebody another goose randomnly spawning, it exposes them straight away
And this problem becomes worse as the number of people playing the game increases
The Cycle Duck
Team: Duck
Ability: at the beginning of each round the Cycle can choose a duck role and gain its abilities for that round, can't choose the same role twice in a row.
The Cycle can't choose a duck role that's already in play, however once the player with the desired role is killed/voted out the role becomes available for the Cycle.
If the Cycle chooses Assassin the Cycle gets one shot during the meeting.
that seems more like something that would be its own mode
Crazed Hummingbird:
Neutral
Hummingbird has a plantify button that slowly turns a target into a flower over 5 seconds.
(it would just be a base model with some leafy textures over it with a flower)
These players count as dead and cannot be killed or reported.
Plantify ability has a 25 seconds cooldown.
Win conditioon is to plantify everyone. (carries over through meetings)
Yeah ik it's similar to pigeon, but the gameplay would be a lot less sneaky
that would be kinda bad forthe ducks
Career Duck
The Career Duck never runs out of tasks to do. Once they complete a task, another task activates. After having completed a task, you gain a raise, reducing your kill cooldown by 10% until the next meeting, up to 90% reduced kill cooldown.
How so?
you said cannot be killed so the duck's job would be hard to find a person to kill if the round goes on for too long
so when you plantify do they get killed?
I feel like that should be a duck role more than a neutral
If a duck could make bodies that cannot be reported
That'd be too steong
Strong*
Plus ducks don't have much to do with plants
Unlike humming birds
well lets say that the plantify has almost killed everyone the ducks can just get the last kill and win
Well no
Since the hummingbird has to be the last one standing
The ducks HAVE to kill the hummingbird
Or get them voted out
Isn't that pretty much The Glitch from TOU but with a flashy kill and no special abilities like morph?
The inability to report bodies that you know are there is a bit more of a unique (and powerful) ability.
I could see that as a duck role of basically The Professional with a long kill cooldown and creates "something" visual from bodies that cannot be reported or eaten but people know that someone died there this round.
And that does not counter the Canadian like the professional does
Maybe a drawback like killing someone forces the duck to morph into the victim.
With the normal morph timer to morph back
Please keep suggestions to one message please and thanks
What about a tracker goose.
They have one tracker they can place on a player of their choice
The tracker shows their approximate location and it will shut off within 10 seconds of the player being killed.
My only concern is what if they place it on a duck and the duck vents
That will inevitably reveal the duck, as the tracker will keep track of the Duck in the vent, so they better kill the Mechanic quick!
what does the mechanic duck have to do with this ;-;
If the ducks kill the Mechanic then they can claim Mechanic
ooo
Whack-a-mole Duck
Team: Duck
Ability: the Whack-a-mole Duck can smash a vent with a hammer, if anyone is inside said vent they get immediately coughed out.
20 cooldown, cannot vent.
Smashed Vents get reset after 10 seconds, Smashed Vents cannot be used by Mechanic or Pigeon.
maybe a goose that can set cameras up around the map and watch the feed on their wrist or something
also another one would be a gosse that can set motion detectors around the map
and they get alerted when theyre triggered
We have! It's been suggested several times. The idea could work, but as it currently stands, the role would be difficult to pull off in our existing maps. Having not been made with this in mind , the hallways and spaces in the existing three maps are a bit tight, allowing for these traps to zone out entire areas. Consider the bridge leading to comms in SS Goose, or the teleporter in Nexus colony, for example.
i see
I think if there was a role that had some kind of radar to detect where other players are.. it'd more likely be a duck than a goose
Ducks are the bad guys
okie
The reasoning being that if you've played enough with the vulture, youll learn that some of the information that you can learn is very damning
Same with experienced players with the medium
You don't really want that in goose hands
In random spawns and what not, with no identifier as to which dots are which people, it could work as a duck role
From my point of view the Geese are the bad guys, i can see through the lies of the Crew!
Technically the mimic goose is lying to the ducks
Kidnapper Duck
Team: Ducks
Ability: the Kidnapper Duck can take a bird hostage. (cannot be used on other ducks unless Blind Ducks is on)
If the Kidnapper is voted out, the hostage gets kicked with them, if hostage is Dodo, Dodo win does not occur.
Cannot take Sheriff or Vigilante hostage. (Either that or the risk of exploding upon trying)
If Sheriff kills Kidnapper the Hostage is freed, if Vigilante kills Kidnapper the Hostage explodes as well.
Kidnapper can vent.
Hostage is marked for other Ducks.
How dat work, like they grab them during the meeting?
That's what I was thinking, with a menu like the Assassin's
I haven't seen the assassins menu yet so idk lol
Geese cannot identify the Kidnapper unless they give themselves away as a duck, the Hostage can be identified by Sheriff and Vigilante, but not the Kidnapper
Ik but I meant by hostage seeing who kidnapping him
Honestly that role seems fun 👀
or sheriff and vigi seeing him
same I wanna kidnap geese to destroy them and troll them
Unless it's an ability to be used in the round, then the Hostage would know who is kidnapping then
But then the Hostage would have to be muted
"Ay yo, you better not vote me fam, o gamer ninja bout to die, boi"
Lol
all I ask if a hostage sees a kidnapper and vigi or sheriff
Funny how the vigilante is like a superhero but they kill the hostage too if they kill the kidnapper
That's why I wanted it to be in-meeting, otherwise they could just dance around the Kidnapper and have him killed
Because the Sheriff has training in handling those situations, the Vigilante doesn't
but what if on 3 and 2 geese voted out a kidnapper?
would a duck win
or geese win
Nay, because there would still be a goose remaining
good point
Unless those 2 were lovers or sum
a goose staying all by theirself
Now, it could be so that the Kidnapper triggered a Duck win on 3 if the Hostage is alive
Could the hostage vote :o
In case the Hostage was killed by another Duck, the Kidnapper would get the menu in meeting to kidnap someone else
wait if a hostage gets voted out does the kidnapper survive the votes
Yes, but the Kidnapper CAN force a vote once
Yes, but he would lose the Hostage and would have to take another one.
First of all, cruel, second of all, probably yes.
Possibly another counter to canadian
Ok I am done with questions but one last thing
does it work on ducks that a kidnapper use it on ducks when mimic on?
Oh kinda, if the Canadian is Hostage and the Kidnapper is killed by Vigilante, the Vigilante reports the Canadian immediately instead.
Lol
Yes, Blind Ducks or Mimic on causes it to be able to be used on Ducks.
However as it will be a Meeting ability, the Kidnapper has plenty chance to gather info on who is on his side and kidnap the Mimic
If Canadian is Hostage and Hostage is killed by another Duck, it doesn't get reported.
Yeah I feel like assassin does a good job getting the mimic
Hostage mode sounds kinda stupid
mhm
like bro this ain't counter strike or siege XD
Flamingo, a duck that drinks blood of other players! (Which is a second kill button)
so uh
a duck without sabotage or vent?
Yes!
Also a better idea than that one is the "Ugly Duckling" instead of a flamingo this duck could have a second kill button, which would be its so ugly it could kill you. NO VENT OR SABOTAGE
Did you just ❤️ your own message?
Flamingos drink blood?
What about a recruiter duck? Has the ability to turn one goose into a duck during the first meeting.
If they pick a neutral role they die instead
They've pretty much said they're not currently planning any roles that force team switches
Ah okay.
Here are ideas for roles
If anything, it's make my friend Solder, but his not on this server(
And last...
Voodoo Duck:
Cannot vent/kill normally.
Has a "strand" button.
Voodoo Duck can use Strand on a player for 2 seconds to take their strand.
This ability then goes on cooldown.
Their strand gets replaced with "Craft".
They can once again stand near the same player for 3 second to craft a voodoo doll.
Then they can "Needle" the doll to kill the player from anywhere on the map.
Each ability has a 10 second cooldown.
The counter play would be to pay attention to who is sticking around you for a bit
thoes are a genius ideas ngl
kind of?
criminal and pyromaniac probably wont happen because the criminal doesnt have a counter and pyro wont because if you do set someone alight, they will know exactly who did it and they can either be mean and try to run into their friends or they will do the smart thing and just stand still
and pyro would be extremely OP on lights and such
space duck is about the only one i see of those that would actually make it in
its well made pictures tho
Radio Duck: 3 times per game can open voicechat comms system between all the ducks (including the mimic goose) for a short time, maybe 5-10 seconds each
and geese can not hear it, probably make it a seperate button like Y or something
Radio Duck seems to be huge countered by the mimic as if all ducks chat Mimic knows all of the ducks and can just call a meeting and win the game
radio duck sounds very interesting if it was a role that allowed you to turn a broadcast of everything you say and hear on and off for other ducks to hear
yeah mimic would be kinda useless
although if the mimic would be able to hear what is said too then they would only be able to use this after the ducks know the mimic is dead
Parakeet - The Parakeet is a Nuetral that relies on survival to win. It must be the last bird standing but cannot kill until final 5 as long as there is at least one duck until 3 (which means 3 geese and a parakeet the geese would just win) the parakeet can win
thats the point
you only want to use it when you trust your fellow ducks
actually it probably would be better instead of a global chat between ducks if it could just be used on who the radio duck picks to talk to
that way there is a chance your talking to a duck or talking to a mimic
and a couple more creations of my friend Solder
why do you use these pictures instead of just typing it up? lol
All the ideas that have a visual indication of what you are, we will in general try to avoid
The rationale being that in a game of social deduction.. having something that you can use to instantly identify yourself is problematic. Other abilities like venting are not for certain, as roles like the pigeon or ducks can vent alongside the mechanic
if you're dashing or what not, that's a dead giveaway
Likewise abilities that allow you to just instantly identify the ducks, like this black and white goose, are avoided for similar reasons.
Goose roles like the doomed goose or the unstable goose don't really have any advantages, and are just regular geese with additional disadvantages. They also don't really affect your agency much. You aren't trying to do anything different, you have no different goals or objectives
Okay this makes more sense to me know
only once per meeting
that can run fast for 4 secs and if turkey gets killed a big red circle appears on the map for 10 secs
judge goose can vote x2 then one vote only once per game
if you're dashing or what not, that's a dead giveaway
um ok
Just throwing it out there, Herbert said that idea was a hard no like five lines ago
Basically anything that visually instantly identifies a role is gonna be very unlikely to go in the game, so something like one bird moving a lot faster would instantly identify them as the Turkey
turkeys cant run
if they get killed a big red circle appears on the map
or the judge
because i think judge goose we can use at one duck and two geese problems
but it only had a abillty to vote twice then one
in the meeting
u had one use
per game
srry
wow these roles had alot of common

We have! We will carefully examine most role ideas to consider their subsequent effect on the overall balance of classic mode. Please check out #850063497877913630 to see some ideas that we are tinkering with.
We think that in a game of social deduction, the element of having to figure out certain roles is important. As such, many roles do have some overlap to create ambiguity. An example of this would be a few ducks, the mechanic, and the pigeon. All can vent, and if you saw anyone vent, you'd have to supplement that information with other information to actually solve who it could be. If you just suggested a role where its ability was visible to everyone, it's likely someone summoned this bot to explain why it isn't viable in the current classic modes. It might still work in other game modes, but keep this in mind for classic+!
It's not an impossible idea, but currently the amount of tasks work as a game timer. Ducks have to rice to kill enough enough non-ducks while the geese are racing towards finishing tasks while trying to solve who the ducks are. Tinkering with the tasks is just increasing game time. I wouldn't want to do that, and if I did it wouldn't really have to be a role. Overall, it is a possible design choice that we have considered, but at the moment are not leaning towards.
Ok but have you guys considered this role where geese and ducks could switch teams?
We have strongly considered the different angles to approach a role like this but ultimately decided against it. Whether the ability to switch teams is random or chosen, this concept potentially throws a wrench in the in-game motivation and objectives of players. For example, if you were a goose that had a chance of becoming a duck later on in the game, you are no longer incentivized to do geese tasks anymore. And if this mindset is applied to a significant number of geese, then barely any geese will ever do their tasks and the ducks will win a disproportionate amount of the time.
had a op role idea for duck to counter a trapper duck.
Duckmposter can appear as a goose for Automated kill duck traps.
or not have it and just have the trap target everyone.
Screeching duck.
Has ana bility that when activated temporarily disables prox chat and makes the screen blurry for everyone else in a large area (even other ducks) the temporary blurriness if people arnt paying attention to where everyone was could give you a chance to kill right in front of others but someoen paying attention could tell who it was
@fervent pasture

ik Mr. Herbert Sir. I was thinking of a counter role.
Russian Duck: Normal kill, can't vent, instead twice per game can call an anonymous meeting where Russian Roulette occurs... Nobody can skip, its all blind votes, everyone is silenced. You have 10 seconds to vote. -- Only way to survive is a chance tie. -- Win condition is normal duck win
That sounds a bit game breaking. Might not bee too bad if it's played a bit more like assassin, correctly guess a role, hand them a revolver loaded with a single bullet.
Guess wrong, and hand yourself the gun.
Might be too strong if both an assassin and this role are in the game at the same time.
How is it game breaking? Assassin already does this in essence... The big difference is luck. They could have a trigger condition, its just an idea. And it could risk a random duck or neutral death, not just the target.
So lemme get this straight.. votes are randomized? Or how do you plan to have this Russian Roulette work?
"blind votes" ---- big hint there
there's no real counterplay to some luck based death
i dont know that i'd really want a 10% chance of dying every meeting or what not
And how would you prevent the Russian Duck to stay unidentified?
Assassin can make that 80% dw dear
no?
well the counterplay would be them not surviving the round, and it wouldn't be at a normal meeting
So it'd be a meeting with no announced caller..?
Hence anonymous yes
I've played russian roulette games where everyone had to spam the button, and we blind voted, it was funny for a good bit.. this just would make one or two times, not the entire game... They could have to do certain tasks, or its their alternate sabotage
It can also negatively affect the Ducks, so it is its own counterplay, no?
thats the whole point of Blind Voting... and No skips, only a tie
thats not what counterplay means
Well then what is the assassin's counter play? Guessing wrong and dying? Why wouldn't the roulette counterplay be killing your own duck or yourself?
counter play is the ability to, through agency and yoru gameplay, counteract an ability
Well everyone would be voting who they're suspicious of the most so..
yeah i dont think we're talking about the same thing at all
and assassin has counterplay, and this duck doesnt
sorry
well no, its not a counter, but its a consequence
Well since there's quite a bit of Star Trek references in the game already..
Romulan Duck/Rihanssu Duck
Team: Duck
Ability: Through the Secrecy of the Tal Shiar, the Romulan Duck can become invisible for 5 seconds.
Cannot vent.
When voted off, the Romulan Duck can select a room/hallway to deploy an unstable singularity which will implode and kill (up to three) geese in the area, but he must select quickly, if the ejection animation ends before a room is selected, no singularity will be deployed.
The singularity implodes 15 seconds after the next round starts.
(Optional) The room/hallway in which the Singularity has been deployed is green lighted until it implodes.
Counter play to the assassin is to withhold information. Tell one or two people your role, tell one or two others who you told your role. If you're killed during a meeting, they can out the people you told.
Though, this strategy only works in private lobbies with proxy chat enabled.
in general, withhold information to protect yourself or better yet, leave enough ambiguity that they'll misfire (just hope people aren't aggressively counterclaiming you). Trading your life for outing an evil role is still worth sharing during a meeting if you play by numbers
Deception is the assassin's counter-play.
I love the necromancer goose
Have you guys considered a doctor/necromancer/altruist role where a goose can resurrect a corpse?
Have you guys considered a Captain duck?
I mean someone has to drive those space ships you know... and without him everyone dies in spaaaace... so if he dies.. everyone loses... we just need a counter for that. Just saying
We're moving away from space with the next theme. We're going to Ducktorian England to visit Duck The Ripper.
DUCK THE QUACKER
one tough goose™
has the ability to shrug off one kill attempt per game, however as this goose is all about muscle and not much about smarts, they wont notice the almost fatal wound until the next meeting. this could counter ducks trying to double kill. also if the one tough goose™ remembers who theyve seen they could mention possible people that "tried" to kill them (plus it could give funny moments of a duck doing a one liner, then nothing happens and the tough goose is like, "what?") they would not be immune to assassin ducks attempt during a meeting as if the assassin duck knew who the one tough goose™ was they would have prepared a strong enough bullet to peirce those massive muscles
Tracker goose! Gets to put a tracker on someone who will be tracked the whole round and can be seen on the minimap... if the person dies the tracker goose will hear a long beep... also the tracker can be soon on the person who is being tracked.
bois, ik yall wanna say your ideas and stuff, but before you post think about if your idea even makes sense or not. think about what counters it would have. if you cant think of any, then you probably should think of another role. also scroll up and see if other people have said the same idea or similar ones. this place gets cluttered by the same suggestions or suggestions that wouldnt have any chance of getting into the game because you didnt think about it
This is essentially the child role from Town of Us
I don't think it's very good for the game
its a mod for among us
its cool. in general i don't really ike the idea of a role that if they die, the game just ends
there's no real way to avoid it
It was so bad they removed it from the mod and almost no one even slightly missed it.
It was fixable but i think in general it doesnt contribute positively to the game
Swan role- the ducks knows who they are, and if ducks keep them alive the whole game they get a reward, but duck is on the goose team and is also trying to get the ducks out
What?
what does that mean?
Wow this role idea has been the foundation cool that is . because of that the where it.....in summary WHAT?!
I’m pretty sure on the third line they meant Swan instead of duck so that should make sense now
Role: "Dove" (Balancing version)
Team: Neutral
Description: The Dove wants to negotiate a truce but will only be successful if the Ducks and Geese have equal numbers.
Win Condition: During a meeting, the Dove may press an olive branch button; If there are an equal number of Ducks as Geese remaining, then the Dove wins. But if there are not, then the Dove is killed (same animation as assassin kill).
Ability: The Dove has a "sense" button that will reveal a target player's team to them for 2 seconds that they must remember (devil horns for ducks, halo for geese, question mark for neutral). Similar to the pigeon, they will have run around checking (and remembering) players teams and try to lead discussion and voting towards achieving a balance of ducks and geese.
Role: "Dove (Guessing version)
Team: Neutral
Description: The Dove wants to negotiate a truce but will only be successful if they can identify the Ducks and Geese.
Win Condition: During a meeting, the Dove may press an olive branch button and guess the remaining players teams (Duck or Goose). If the Dove correctly guesses all the remaining Ducks and Geese, they win. If they guess incorrectly, the Dove is killed (same animation as assassin kill).
Ability: Similar to the Spy Duck, if the Dove is the only one to vote for a player, that players team will be revealed to them in-game.
I love this
Me too
I am going to highlight a few interesting points here: As the geese are "winning" they can actually lose the game without any control. Their only way to deal with the dove is to execute it or somehow get information to vote it out. The ducks will also want to kill them early making them a high priority target without any way of dealing with them. Unlike other neutral roles there are no ways of dealing with this. The dodo lends itself to acting suspicious without actually causing any harm so it can be avoided. The pigeon can be reset by reporting bodies/calling meetings (also their behavior is largely erratic) and lastly the vulture has to risk being seen in order to accomplish their goal. The ducks will protect the vulture early but try to execute it later. This role basically flips a coin at a specific point in the game and steals the win from both teams. It will likely win 30-40% of the games and it will make the game less fun for every other role.
When it doesn't win it's not because it didn't do it's job, but rather it never stood a chance. It had no way to influence the game, or had control over it's own win condition.
Would be dope if the assassin role had mission impossible music playing in the background. and then dodo gets like derp music playing and so on etc
We would need to charge a lot of money for the game to fight the legal battle with Paramount Studios
lmao I mean a variation of it
yea
that is a cool thing to have
ducks would have like jaws music
Parody law allows us to make fun of it but the idea of entertaining a frivolous lawsuit (even if we would win) would be devastating to our tiny studio that makes a free to play game 🙂
We will likely never do this 🙂
Its ok I have some tears to shed
There is no crying in Goose Goose Duck; there are other games for that.
triggered
Everytime someone sheds tears, a line of code gets deleted.
She's not kidding, I just deleted this line of code:
Vents now have no animation
They just stay closed
I really liked it when the vents opened
this could have been prevented. Just being happy can save a line of code
Now I'm sad the vents don't open
Don’t cry Chris! . Else Shawn will have to delete more code.
Be strong
I'll be strong for you.
I just deleted the line that makes @steep moth 5% faster than other players in Classic + mode.
No more cheating Chris...
haha
Oh. That’s okay. Good deletion choice!
I never put that in there...
Take out the code that keeps me from getting killing roles while you're at it.
Good points. My only comment is the Dove (balancing version) would be treated by Ducks similar to the vulture: protect in the early game and try to execute it later because the Dove will be trying to protect / vote with the Ducks as they are far outnumbered early on.
Sure, but you have no way to know who the dove is.
As described, I believe the dove's identity is known by the ducks
Oh I didn't see that part
I don't think it works for a few reasons, although it is a very cool concept. The first major reason to me is that ducks win when they have equal numbers of non-ducks. So if the ducks start the game aware of the Dove's existence, then they already know that killing the dove (and neutrals) gives you a better control of the game, since it becomes less likely you suddenly lose. If this is the case, the ducks have so much incentive to kill the dove, what level of reward is enough to counteract that? Probably something i wouldn't be comfortable awarding players with
Vengeful Goose:
Dying allows you to haunt your killer.
Haunting your killer lets you use their kill button for them.
Just a rando idea
it is a same as jester if you hang them in town of salem
ik
Which I wish Dodo did honestly
but just saying
we're not going to do that
well...dodo might work for geese and kill ducks
See like, yeah
the ideas from other games can't just be ported over
Yep
though...I was hoping the assassin role but not the same one
I would love it if neutral victories didn't end the game
But instead having neutrals appear in the win screen after accomplishing their goals
Since the Dove wins when there are equal number of ducks and geese, and the ducks win when there are equal of number of ducks and non-ducks, the dove is also not ever on the geese's side. I think part of the idea was that thematically, the dove would be trying to counterbalance the two sides constantly, but the only rare case the dove would ever push to have a duck killed would be scenarios where there are multiple ducks, very few geese, and multiple neutrals. e.g. Duck duck, pigeon vulture, goose, dove.
These scenarios on balance are not very common
maybe a more interesting variation could actually be a similar role that tried to balance the number of neutrals to ducks. although it might still have some problems, it might create a very interesting dynamic
NInja duck:
team: yep ducks
abilities: he can turn invisible yea
bad effect: he needs to kill the person that the game told him but if he killed the wrong target he dies/might reveal his role infront of people and when he killed 1 the other target will reveal for him
How about a goose role, that has a 1 time ability to swap the deaths of 2 characters?
Like if target A gets attacked, chosen target B would die instead?
you're describing the swapper from town of us
We have! We will carefully examine most role ideas to consider their subsequent effect on the overall balance of classic mode. Please check out #850063497877913630 to see some ideas that we are tinkering with.
oh that's.. i mean it doesnt sound very fun for anyone really
Role:Suicide Goose
Team:Geese
Ability:If found a dead body they can raise it (Space Button)
Bad Ability:Dies if raised a dead body
Person Raised: Can not talk until 2 meetings or can not say or give a clue who is what (to make it balanced for the ducks)
We have since removed the ability for the living and the dead to communicate to allow for the feature of role reveal, and don't plan on moving in that direction again anytime soon.
oh
Stalker Duck:
Has a Stalk ability.
Using it on a player lets you see where they are on the map for the entirety of the round.
During a meeting you'll know who they voted for if colourblind votes are on.
And maybe the person will get a notification that they're being stalked after like, 5 seconds or so?
Role:Camper Goose
Team:Geese
Ability:Can hide in a bush until stands still (invis)
Bad Effect:their vision will be half or one third of their normal
Already ahead of you...

ooo just like brawl stars? if you go on the bush you completely go invisible unless someone with you
Trainee Duck or Goose (possible Mimic rework)
Team: They have a random chance to be a Duck or Goose at the start of the game similar to the Lover Duck/Goose.
The Trainee does not count towards either the Ducks or Geese win condition. The Ducks do not need to kill the Trainee Goose to win and the Geese do not need to kill the Trainee Duck to win. The Trainee shows as red to the Ducks but does not know who the Ducks are similar to the Mimic Goose.
Trainee Duck: Cannot kill, sabotage, or vent but they can do the sabotage unlock tasks, vote along with their suspected teammates, and be a decoy at the right moment by making confusing claims or by being suspicious to sacrifice themselves so that a suspected Duck might live. Remember, the Trainee Duck does not count towards the Geese win condition. (Decoy strategy is similar to The Minion from One Night Ultimate Werewolf)
Trainee Goose: Has fewer tasks than the other Geese so they will have more time to sleuth around or to protect their suspected teammates. Can be assassinated but remember that it does not count towards the number of non-ducks that the Ducks need to kill to win.
I like this idea
Blind Goose (aka a better Birdwatcher)
Team: Goose
The Blind Goose has terrible vision (very dark) but can feel the vibrations of others moving (and killing) around them, even through walls. The Blind Goose senses everyone moving as an outline of a naked Goose and does not see names or pets outside their tiny vision. Anyone not moving is completely hidden outside the Blind Goose's tiny vision. The Blind Goose can briefly sense kill animations but cannot see the bodies outside their tiny vision.
When Ducks call the Lights sabotage, the Blind Goose completely loses their tiny vision although they can still sense movement around them.
Here's an example of what the Blind Goose sees and senses vs what anyone else would see.
This is a pretty cool idea; I think being able to sense in a 360 degree would be a bit concerning (overpowered). I think balancing it out with an activated ability and/or making it pulse like a sonar would be interesting.
A sonar-like ability sounds pretty interesting too!
true
Bat Goose
(idea)the lyerbird(or just lyer and is a real bird look it up,)..team: anyones.. abilty:can copy a role from a player..bio:the lyer is great at copying things so why not copy a role!..this idea would also work as a duck but insted of copying, they could erase the players role but wood have a long cooldown or has a limet
super goose
no that's THE bat goose
lyer tho 👀
it wound't switch sides the idea is that it copys 1 role and if the player copys a duck the duck wound still see the player as a goose
if it cound switch it wood be too op
this is a cool idea
i was actually considering something that was more or less this for another upcoming game mode
Hm...
Hard Working Goose:
This goose has more tasks than usual, but the reward will be great if all of them are completed alive.
Though thinking about it now, that last bit sounds a bit like the gravy goose.
Forwarder Duck:
A duck that has a 40 second cool down ability that reduces all cooldowns (Ducks, Geese, and Nuetral) by 5 seconds. There could also be an option to affect ducks by 7 instead of 5 like the rest.
Interesting
Vampire: can bite people to make them a vampire and is faster. (Now that i think about it, its just a reskined pigeon)
Scanner/Snitch goose once per game if u complete task u get an ability that can allow u to scan anyone's role if u near them not sure If this would be a good idea or not just an idea
Good idea!
It would not let me spell idea right
What
Well came up with it on the spot but I kind of want like a good idea from one of the Gaggle people cuz that would be cool if my idea was put into the game

Time warp duck:
Has a time warp ability.
Slows down time for everyone but themselves.
This isn't instant, it happens in the next 4 seconds after using the ability.
Can use 3 times per game.
The downside would be that you'd be able to see them at normal speed
So they'd need to be sneaky still
Dope idea with the time thing but maybe it should be going back a few steps instead of slowing time and maybe as a downside it could be like it leaves a trail or if someone sees them when they finish the ability something happens
See
That role exists in town of us
But the big BIG issue with that is
A lot of people get annoyed by it
And it falls under the category of controlling people's movement
And also Motion Sickness
Role: Doppleganger duck
Team: Duck
Ability: Can raise a dead body which would walk like mirror of duck for 15 seconds, cooldown like 40-60 seconds
That's just an op detective
Crow:
Neutral
Has the ability to guess a role of a single person per meeting.
Has 4 attempts.
If it guesses 3 of them correctly they win.
Parrot:
Neutral
Parrot gets to copy someone's role and have it for 30 seconds with a 40 second cooldown)
The target will get notified 2 seconds after if their role has been copied.
Parrot wins after parroting 5 roles.
Parrot can copy the same person multiple times.
i feel like the meta this tries to change already is done by the assassin
I know but this would be a victory condition
This would have its own detective-ish gameplay
Where you try to figure out roles as a neutral
You can just play super goose like, which ducks can't
i like the idea, but its a role that needs to scale like the vulture depending on how many are in a lobby
guessing 1/4th of the lobby is probably a good amount
the farmer: can set traps (the farmer can set three traps) if someone steps on these the farmer will now where they are for 15 seconds and know there actions if someone kills someone well in the trap the farmer will know the victim to the trap will be alerted after 5 seconds (neutral) btw the farmer can not see what color is in the trap
necromancer: can take the form of dead people for 15 seconds the dead person that the necromancer takes host of. body will move when the effect of taking over his body is over. 2nd ability: this ability will let the necromancer curse them basically what would happen is that they would be colourblind for that round the names would stay the same so it would be confusing he can also kill a person each round this would be a duck role
We have! It's been suggested several times. The idea could work, but as it currently stands, the role would be difficult to pull off in our existing maps. Having not been made with this in mind , the hallways and spaces in the existing three maps are a bit tight, allowing for these traps to zone out entire areas. Consider the bridge leading to comms in SS Goose, or the teleporter in Nexus colony, for example.
does the necromancer have to find a corpse? or do they just pick anyone who's dead?
they have to find corpses
time goose they have the power to reverse time and revive player is they died in the last 5 sec's. the time goose.
Have you guys considered a doctor/necromancer/altruist role where a goose can resurrect a corpse?
Toxic Goose
This goose if it gets killed by any role who has a killing role it kills them along with the toxic goose no the assassin cannot die from it if it gets shot during a meeting
How do ducks counter that?
Trading 1 Goose life for 1 Duck life will tend to break the game, as the Geese outnumber the Ducks
Assassin duh
Sure... But does that mean the ducks must wait until they know who toxic goose is to kill a single goose?
Angel: can resurrect a dead person but if that dead person was a duck the angel will die.

a role where if the goose gets killed (not including environment death) then it win's a neutral victory
the Martyr Goose
it doesn't know who the ducks are and neither do the geese
if it dies due to environment death then it doesn't win
if it gets voted it doesn't win
there's no way to counterplay that
how exactly does any duck figure out who not to kill at that point
uhh... spy duck?
_<
A good new role would be is a Sort of medic role that can only revive one dead goose. Therefore telling the other fellow goose of how they met their end. it can only happen once per game.

this has been said multiple times now and the devs don't want to add a role like this
Thief duck:
Cannot vent
Has a steal button
Can be used twice per game with a 20 second cooldown to remove a player's role.
Using this on a neutral will turn them into a dodo.
IDK, seems just plain annoying to play against and doesn't really synergise well with any of the other ducks.
Do the players get their role back after x amt time? Otherwise you'll just fill the lobby with dodos and the game will end rather quickly
yeah id say give the roles back after 30 seconds
after a meeting imedenytly
Sorry for my grammar
You only turn neutrals into dodos
Not the entire lobby
Geese with roles become just geese
Romeo Duck
The Romeo Duck has an additional kill button which causes them to kill themselves, but also convert 1 bird near them into a Classic Duck. If used on a Lover Goose, they become a Lover Duck. The additional kill button does not share a cooldown with the normal kill button.
KIWI GOOSE:
Makes up for it’s inability to fly with its excellent sense of smell.
The kiwi goose can lead them to a duck who has recently killed. There should be a cool down on the ability. Say a duck kills, kiwi goose can use their ability and a red arrow will lead them to the duck for a limited time. If they are unable to get to where the duck is the arrow disappears once time is up.
i think that would be quite op when near to the duck but instead of an arrow pointing to the duck it can be pointing to the most recent body except if it's profesional kill
Wouldn't that obsolete the Medium Goose though?
idk because medium goose can only see the number of ghosts not bodies
Exactly. So not only would this role tell you that someone has died recently like the Medium Goose does, but also leads you to where they died.
Long Range Duck
Cannot Vent
Twice per game they can activate an ability that kills the farthest player from their view. possibly causing confusion (cannot activate when lights are out).
also if they arnt careful they could accidentally not notice the duck is farther so they accidentally kill a teamate
Dollmaker Goose:
Can craft a copy of themselves and place it where they are standing.
If someone uses their kill button on the doll, their kill will go on cooldown and there will be a fake body on the ground.
The body cannot be eaten nor reported.
I love this idea, but maybe there should be a notification (similar to the technician sabo one), that notifies other players where the duck was when they used their long range kill?
good idea.
This is neat! Not super overpowered as an annoyance to the Ducks, but if they find a body that can't be reported the Assassin gets a free shot at the next meeting.
its a role that immediately reveals that it cannot be evil
WHich I think it's OK in this case
Now that there is assassin
It's the same as mechanic
mechanic can be duck
yes but you can be a duck or a pigeon as well
Oh yeah pigeon can vent
I keep forgetting that
Maybe the dollmaker makes a doll of a random chosen player?
Instead of themselves?
it can exist if a duck role thats able to do it does
THat's be cool
A duck role that makes fake bodies
Someone mentioned taxidermy duck
PARROT:
The action would be similar to that of silencer duck. As silencer you click on someone to be silenced when discussion and voting commences. Considering Parrots can talk (or mimic), the ability would have you choose someone during the round to reveal their ability to everyone during discussion/voting. This could work for geese to see who the killer is or for assassin to see what role someone is and shoot them. This ability can only be used once though.
Parrots are comedically portrayed as blabber mouths in situations and they can’t keep secrets, so I figured that would be a fun little role. Idk if I explained it right lol
What if it copied a player's role instead? It's goal changes on what ability was copied.
showing a player's role to everyone is a big no no
Oh shoot that actually sounds better lol!
That’s the point though. And it would only be used once.
If it took a Goose role it would win with geese
Ect
no, as in not even once per game
the philosophy they have been trying to follow is that even if you are caught by any ability, you can weasel yourself out of the situation with a good lie
this is just straight up "this player is bad"
Not necessarily? You could be sus of someone and choose to reveal what they are and they’re just regular degular goose and you just wasted your one shot ya know?
Yesss
i dont think you understand my point
What if a parrot found a corpse and took the role
It would be like the Amnesiac from ToS
Hmm, that sounds pretty cool actually! Okay let’s modify it then: how about Parrot can choose someone to copy their ability. If that person dies then the role gets passed on to Parrot.
How’s that?
Perfect
That gives the parrot the incentive to get a player killed
Making it neutral
^^^^^^
and the win condition?
Win with the new ability
If it's a goose role he wins with geese
If it's a duck role he wins with duck
Ect
Yep
I wanted to put out an idea for another role but I’m not sure what bird could represent it. Basically a switch role where you could swap yourself out with someone during voting. Let’s say that you got sus and get everyone to vote for you, you could swap yourself out with someone and they would get all the votes instead of you. You could even choose other people to get swapped out instead.
I remember there was a bird that stole the nest of other birds
It would push the eggs out of other birds nests
And then replace them with it's own
Then making the parent raise their kids
It's a cuckoo
Would it be a duck or goose role?
I would say miscellaneous role like Dodo, Vulture, Pigeon, etc
Maybe an uninformed evil neutral
it would probably a neutral
Wins with ducks but not a duck
Yeah
Like a double agent
True
Sabo Duck:
Can booby trap sabotages so that the first player who goes to fix it gets electrocuted and stunned for 3 seconds.
Can booby trap a sabo once per round.
Mocking jay
Team: ducks
Ability: Can talk like someone else, for x amount of seconds they can send messages as a different player (kinda like morphling, but can only chat)
cons: higher vent cooldown, they are affected by lights sabo
I still don't know how this would work with voice prox chat
good news and bad news is that good is it is possible on public but on private is useless but maybe pinning on no mic people like me might work
yeah
so on the loading screen i saw a goose with nightvision goggles and it hit me
nightvisiongoose
can still see when lights go out but everything is green and they cant tell who is who
Suggested that last week, the devs said cosmetics would ruin the role since you could identify everyone based on those.
Maybe a sonar or radar goose as a compromise, can't see ducks geese at all, only outlines based on audio pulses
sevantez suggested that earlier
it's a good idea, but i'd probably prefer to keep that for another upcoming game mode
I feel everything has been suggested already lol
a lot of things have been suggested, yes lol
i never said the goggles would be visual
i wouldnt think they would be, its a gimmick not a visual effect
So what you're saying is, the goggles, they do nothing?
For pretend?
no im saying that they can see when lights are out but they see green, ignore the goggles
No, the cosmetic give away is the other way around, you can tell who is who based on their cosmetics equipped.
No need to see colours or names when only one person has a diamond sword
I hope such a role is introduced, even if only for special modes, after all the role can always be turned off if people dislike it (like what happens to poor birdwatcher)
i personally love being birdwatcher
I do too, but 98% of the lobbies I join hate the role so I never get to play it.
i always leave it on in my lobbies
Birdwatcher seems very niche
There are few places that it's worth to look through a wall, in nexus at least
And when you go to those places your just sitting there waiting for somebody to get snapped in that specific location
Birdwatcher fits best with Nexus
I think it will be cool to have a Glitch(Peacock) who can kill, can manipulate People for a short amount of Time like 10 seconds so they can t do tasks or use abilities and morph into non ducks or neutral roles and can kill everybody the match doesn t end if he isn t voted out like ducks(this will be a neutral role) i hope the creators will se this
i have a quite strong feeling that this role wouldn't be implemented.
We have! We will carefully examine most role ideas to consider their subsequent effect on the overall balance of classic mode. Please check out #850063497877913630 to see some ideas that we are tinkering with.
Ninja Goose or Ninja duck
The basis of this role is to be sneaky and can go invisible Ninja Goose could be it's own role and have to kill everyone to win making it a neutral role and if u added both of these roles u can see the Ninja Duck if there invisible only while ur invisible but Ninja Ducks can't vent nor sabotage and Ninja goose don't have task their only job is to kill everyone to win the game making Ninja goose a neutral role but idk how I'd name that like Ninja Crow or something like that but if u want to rework this idea thats cool but idk if it'll be OP
eh, i usually play with flashlight mode anyways so i dont notice it, although unless they changed it recently i think it should go to 360 vision even if flashlight mode is on settings wise
Comacasy Duck : Sacrificing the ability to vent the comacasy duck is able to kill a group of goose and teammates if other ducks are within range at the cost of the comacasy life. This should make for an interesting game if theres a slow game due to everyone staying together. And make some sabotage fixes harder such as lights where people cant see and tend to stack ontop of one another while doing them.
there is a kamikaze duck going to be added already
Check out #850063497877913630
Traitor Bird:
A neutral role that starts as a goose but after all Ducks are voted out or killed, they turn into a Duck who has the same win condition as a single Duck. They cannot sabotage or vent but they can kill other birds.
Transporting Duck:
After successfully murdering another player, this duck is able to carry and move their body to another area, but they will have decreased movement speed and/or a visual indication of a body being carried (by visual I mean an icon of some sort, much like the gravy goose.)
There have been similar ideas suggested before (without the visual)
It could work, and is something we will consider
I suggested something earlier ab a ninja Goose/Duck but idk if u guys like it but it probably seems imbalanced but I would like to hear ur thoughts ab it
its the glitch from town of us
We have! We will carefully examine most role ideas to consider their subsequent effect on the overall balance of classic mode. Please check out #850063497877913630 to see some ideas that we are tinkering with.
Oh well I didn't mean to make it sound like that
it's okay even if you were suggesting the glitch from town of us
Nah I wasn't but I meant like either a goose or duck can go invisible for a certain time either once or twice a game
Something like that
that has maybe too many powers, but the dynamic of the glitch is an interesting one in the game
it has been suggested many times before though, and we have and will continue to consider whether it fits or not
Oh okay I'm just trying to think of something cuz I do want my idea in a game that I enjoy playing 😁
A duck role that completely blinds a player for several seconds?
Maybe they can only see their feet while blimded
A quick idea for a role was a role that could push / stun other players during the game (could be a duck / neutral that would use their ability to prevent geese from doing tasks / push them in front of the shuttle on nexus)
a Gosling/duckling role. no Ducks are able to kill a Gosling as it grows up through out the game. But a Duckling is able to set traps and kill other Goose and sabotage. these roles would make the player very tiny and adorable in size
A role that can turn invisible seems a little overpowered, but I guess if it had some sort of restrictions like you have to stand still for ten seconds before you can go chameleon mode and come out as soon as you get blood on your hands or move, it might work.
That way you'd have to have some kind of strategy. Hide in a hallway you expect others to use, without being seen going invisible. Or stand at a task and hope somebody has it, paying attention to what tasks have already been done by players, or stand at a sabo task and wait for the last person to leave. Would also be useful for fooling the technician.
I think the stand still is a great idea actually! And the ability would only be available after a kill with a cool down. That would allow for the ability to not be overpowered, and the player would have to be strategic about it! It could be called Chameleon Duck.
A goose role that if they vote for the person who gets ejected that turn they will learn their role regardless of the settings.
a role where if u die u win and a role that can give someone a shield so they don't die
If there's a role that if they die, they win, that's too OP.
And the role that can give someone a shield, that's basically a medic from Town of Us.
We have! We will carefully examine most role ideas to consider their subsequent effect on the overall balance of classic mode. Please check out #850063497877913630 to see some ideas that we are tinkering with.
Hacker duck - A duck role that can create a fake feed for the cameras for x seconds and/or could even fake sabotages for x seconds ?
Slavemaster duck - The first geese killed becomes a duck helper where he becomes part of their team as a basic geese but duck affiliated
Savior goose - In the third meeting can decide one player and if he is to die at any point from then, he will be revived at the next meeting but permanently muted
Remote goose - Can call two meetings and one of them being from anywhere on the map
Have you guys considered a role where a player will change teams?
We have strongly considered the different angles to approach a role like this but ultimately decided against it. Whether the ability to switch teams is random or chosen, this concept potentially throws a wrench in the in-game motivation and objectives of players. For example, if you were a goose that had a chance of becoming a duck later on in the game, you are no longer incentivized to do geese tasks anymore. And if this mindset is applied to a significant number of geese, then barely any geese will ever do their tasks and the ducks will win a disproportionate amount of the time.
also the reviving would be op they would just follow their killer
Yeah I would agree to that, except a lot of this game can be broken its sort of based on the game rules you decide. For instance if you had a spy duck a mimic geese and a professional duck it would be simple to kill the mimic each round. In this case it would be one kill and that person becomes part of your team, I understand the inbalance though
I guess it depends on what point of the game, if its the very end or x players people tend to have suspicions but agree
Bingo Goose:
Every meeting they get to choose who they think is going to die the next round.
If their pick dies (voting doesn't count) they get bonus silver at the end of the game.
They have 3 chances.
Once they guess correctly they can guess no more.
it should do something that impacts the game instead of just a reward
Would be cool if you get 1 chance and it stops them from dying if they were a goose
That can be abused, you could get your friends together and arrange it so you all farm coins
at this point who really cares, you can already do that with gravy
if youre gonna sit down and farm coins for GGD then youre wasting your life either way
Yh but thats not the point
We did the math... it's not worth it. The bounty on the gravy goose affects the game.
A reward based role needs to affect the way people play
also the gravy goose also has the added benefit of being a role that cant be assassinated so there is more to it
in addition to ducks knowing their role
Birdwatcher fix - normal goose vision, watcher flashlight vision turn on/off. Make it mechanic style. No time limit to use with cooldown when turned off. It should also work when lights are off (its a "flashlight"). This gives ducks agency and makes the role useful and fun without feeling like you have to camp.
Hippie Goose:
Has a "peace" button that will disable another player's kill button for the rest of the round.
If used on a Duck, they will be revealed to the duck for the rest of the game.
Can use this once per round.
Starting cooldown is the same as the duck kill cooldown.
Id call it the dove!
So a toggle between?
Yes!
hmm
I don't mind this
But I do think that it should be a time limit to prevent people from door sniping on certain maps
So after a switch its a 5 second cool down
Dove would be a neutral, since geese are geese
True lol
Confused, can u elaborate? The mechanic cooldown is like 15 secs. U can stay in flashlight mode forever like they can stay in vents. Being able to see in the dark would give them a call to action.
reducer duck
team ducks
ability: when he kills the cooldown of the kill will be lower and the more he kills the lower it gets and when he vents or sab or meeting his cooldown will be back to normal
Ik it is a bad idea and it is a same as underdog in town of us but ehh gonna say it
Being a normal goose with the ability to cut your own vision and see through walls for however long you like is REALLY powerful. The anti-power to being able to see through walls is already reduced vision. As the birdwatcher I have been able to position myself in EVERY map to be able to gather really good information. It's a lot more powerful than a normal goose already. This might push it over the top. I think it could be a toggle but there would need to be a bigger draw back
@shadow falcon We have a bot command specifically for this.
so it is a bad idea
But it already can do that... i want ot to be an ability not the character. Thats the other issue is you HAVE to camp to be useful or move so sporadically to see that the assassin knows ur role.
I think we're getting lines crossed. If I can toggle on and off an ability at will for however long I like I am basically a birdwatcher with limited or no drawback.
Being a normal goose that can decide at any moment that "I want to look through this door" takes so much power away from ducks.
Giving agency to the birdwatcher is great but it needs to come with a limit/restriction.
What that exactly would be is tough to decide on a moments notice but it does need something.
Then give the power a time limit. I dont see the difference between looking through doors and vent camping.
Ducks know if there is a vent that there is a risk, but with a birdwatcher almost no where is entirely safe.
How does disabling the ability for normal vision make it stronger? The birdwatcher already can look through "that doorway." I get ducks know theres a vent but they know there is potentially a birdwatcher too. It may not be as easy but isnt that the point of that role?
Again I think our lines are getting crossed; I am not saying disabling the normal ability making it stronger.
If the birdwatcher can toggle its ability on or off indiscriminately, at will, with no penalty and no cap it will behave like an absolutely normal goose until it is in a position in where it can utilize it's ability for however long it likes and then turn it off when it's done looking. In theory this doesn't sound like a massive power upgrade but it's a HUGE power upgrade. To turn it into a toggle can make sense but it needs a bit of a drawback.
So than wouldnt a time limit and a cooldown be enough of a drawback?
isnt that describing the mechanic goose exactly?
or really any goose role that has a toggle ability
either way im fine with any way to make the birdwatcher not annoying
its not like there is any drawback to toggling medium or mechanic
really dont feel like there is some arbitrary need to give a drawback to birdwatcher then
We've tested in game with people only trying to win
It's extremely powerful.
We need to keep the power of roles in check, once a large sum of the player base figures out how to use it collectively it changes the dynamic of the game.
The birdwatcher is good
how annoying you find it is up to you
there is a matter of balance that we have to consider
this doesnt mean that we won't necessarily adjust the birdwatcher, but it feels fine right now to us in terms of power level
if the playstyle isn't conducive to your lobby, ask your host to turn it off, lots of players aren't a fan of flashlight vision
I've always thought the birdwatcher was good with it's original design, but should have been a toggle. I mean you're equipping binoculars to see through the wall for 2 seconds, not wearing them 100% of the time. With its rework, you see everything on activating your ability. Isn't a toggle the same, only with flashlight vision instead of everything
For those walking like an idiot and giving your role away to the assassin, try using the mouse for movement, it's much better when playing birdwatcher
Ghost goose: you can become a ghost to go through walls just like dead geese but you can toggle it once after every meeting, but you can not see other dead geese nor can the median can see you.
I feel like that would be a good duck idea
How about bring back the Drunk as a role and call it the Gray Goose. (spell with an A instead of E to keep it legal)
Investigator goose (or forensics goose)
Can see footprints left by other players. Footprints would disapear quickly. Once per game the investigator can choose 1 player (they gotta actually get close to the player) and for the rest of the game their footprints glow
It's almost like a detective.... but with feet?
Yes?
But tbh idk how ot would interact with morphling foot prints to make it the most balanced
it'd be like the detective in Town of Impostors, but they'd have to add fake prints for the Dodo
Ive never played town of imposters.
Why would it add fake prints for dodo?
In ToI jester could paint their prints to look like they killed
I didnt imagine these footprints showing if anyone killed
Literally just footprints
If i had imagined it showing if they killed i wouldve mentioned it in my pitch
Mastermind duck
Team duck
Ability: can control others goose for
25 sec and 1,5 min cooldown
Sounds kind of boring for the goose being controlled, 25 seconds of doing nothing
I mean you would see what the duck is doing with you so I think it could be quite tense. Maybe a shorter period then 25s because that is a tad long (like 10-15s)?
Still kind of boring, you don’t get to do anything but watch. I also believe the devs said they don’t want to to add things that restrict player movement too much
Pacifier
Goose team:
The pacifier can reveal a role of a player to everybody once per game!
Warp Duck:
Swaps spots with another player during the game.
Has a 30 seconds cooldown.
I feel like this would be high risk high reward?
This concept has been suggested a few times, but there are potential issues with implementing this in the current classic mode. Setting aside that I don't really like the idea of other players losing agency over their character, no one ever described any sort of counterplay. If you can control someone and kill them (or others) with this ability, there doesn't seem to be anything to deduce. This is problematic in a game of social deduction.
I foresee a lot of airlock kills with this.
well they get splatted
they turn into smeared blood
its very advantageous to kill on the platform as aduck
Tear Gas Duck:
Has a "Gas" ability which automatically fills up an entire room with gas which makes it blurry for other non ducks outside of their vision radius.
Players will not be able to see colours/cosmetics inside of this room.
Lasts 10 seconds.
Has a 30 seconds cooldown.
Counterplay to this would be that you'd be able to leave the room
The Ugly Duckling
he is a duck he can vent and sabotage but he can't kill anyone
other ducks dont see his color and name but goose can
he sees who other ducks are
he wins with the ducks
Psycho Goose
ducks see him with red nick but he don't see they're ducks(like mimic)
but he can kill and vent
he can win if he kills everyone
he wins himself
Suicide Goose
if someone kills him he and his killer die
he can also kill himself if he wants
he wins with the goose
He can kill himself XD
but only if HE WANTS Dx
I feel like Gaggle wouldn't add that just because it is a bit of a sensitive topic
But Psycho goose seems interesting
the only downside of this to the geese team is if the vigilante kills him, since the sheriff killing him would already die
meaning its an ability that trades 1 goose for 1 duck, with no counterplay
so that's too strong against the ducks
i dont think the other ducks not knowing who you are or your color is particularly interesting.. i mean it has to show up as something on a player's screen
even if it defaulted to white, you'd notice there were two white geese
and if you remove that, you're essentially just a duck but worse. you can already play as a duck and not hit spacebar if you somehow thought that was better
this is the glitch from town of us, in terms of dynamic. it can work, we're considering it
the assasin could kill him in meetings if he knows who is the suicide goose
yes, but nothing about his ability leads anyone to solve who he is
the bird watcher looks like hes looking through walls
the mechanic vents
maybe he would spawn little dot of blood on the floor every 15 seconds
I feel like that wouldn't be very good though
It would be quite easy too detect them if that happened
Blind Goose
he doesn't see anything he need to walk with his map
or
he doesn't see anyones color and name
he wins with the goose
That could be interesting but I feel like that would jut help the ducks and wouldn't benefit the geese
@marsh whale would they have an ability?
they could have ability to see steps in color of person who left them @oblique latch
ooo
That could be good but I feel like it doesn't help geese in any way and gives an advantage too the ducks
Stone Goose
he can change to statue every 50 seconds he can be a statue for 5 seconds
when he's a statue he doesn't see anything he can't move but no one can kill him (when he's the statue)
he wins with the goose
Again how does this benefit Geese?
yeah okay so maybe
Agent Goose
he can see cams anywhere but he cant move (when he is using the ability) and he has 25 seconds of cooldown
he can also add his own cam enywhere and it would work on his cams and the public cams but he can do it only once
he wins with the Goose
I like that a lot
And I think that would be a very good role
But maybe make it so that the cam that the Agent goose can place is only for him and not everyone in security
Chicken/Dinosaur
he has an ability to change in to a dinosaur for 15 seconds
he can use it only once after meeting
when he is the dino he can kill but he can't vent
he also eat corpses like vulture but he can't win that way
to win he needs to kill everyone
he wins himself
Anxious Goose:
When near a player with a kill button the goose will get nervous and get a little heart beat monitor/sound.
Ducks will know that someone is nervous near them.
But they could see you as dinosaur though
This would be a different game mode
we would probably make a map called Cretaceous Park
Jurassic Park was too broad, T-rexs were only around for the earliest part of that.
that would be so cool
Hunter Goose
he spawn fake dead Bodies he has 40 cooldown for it
if vulture would eat his fake dead bodie he would die
he wins with the Goose
Stalker Goose:
Can pick someone to constantly see footprints off and be able to follow throughout the entire round.
The stalked person will know that they are being stalked
that would be a good role
BlackMail Duck
he can blackmail one person that person can vote for him but his vote doesn't count if he votes for any duck
BLACK MAILED PERSON knows that he is blackmailed but he don't know who blackmailed him (so he doesn't just say who is the duck)
BLACK MAILED PERSON doesn't know if his vote counted (so he doesn't just say who is the duck)
he wins with the duck
judge goose
once per game may overturn a vote to another player, meaning that if the majority votes for someone but the judge goose decides to overturn the vote to another person, the person picked dies instead of the one voted for by the majority. if a goose was picked, the judge goose also dies, if its a duck or an independent role, the judge goose gets to live, and if the majority votes for someone and the judge goose overturns the vote to that same person, no one dies. also if the majority votes for the judge goose he cant overturn it to someone else
btw there are a lot of role ideas that can be taken from https://mafia.gg/guide/roles
also necromancer goose; once per meeting may decide not to vote and instead learn the role of a dead player that wasnt ejected
shield goose; twice per game may decide to shield a player for half a minute in which case a duck cannot kill said player and if they attempt to do so their kill cooldown will reset and nothing will happen besides that
something like your shield idea just really doesnt do anything though
i mean maybe in lobbies with high cooldown rate idk
but you just shield someone and nothing happens, the game doesnt progress at all and you wouldnt know if anything even happened
We have! We will carefully examine most role ideas to consider their subsequent effect on the overall balance of classic mode. Please check out #850063497877913630 to see some ideas that we are tinkering with.
honestly just sounds like an idea for the sake of coming up with an idea to me
yeah i guess thats fair
dueling dodo's woukd be fun ngl
I hope dueling dodos makes it in
Ideas are always good, because they can help think of maybe even better ideas!
I agree
Hidden Duck
He can do all ducks things and if the detective try to se if he killed IT will appear inocent and counter canadian effect like profesional but he can report.
Mafiot duck he ca-n do duck things but if he îs voted out he can choose one of the players Who voted for him to die and if he is killed by sheriff or vigilante they die.
Party Goose he has a special button that ca-n use în meeting. If he belive that he will get voted out he can use The button. Can be used once a game.
Hummingbird(NEUTRAL) If he finishes 8 tasks he will get one kill button that can be used on anybody
i feel like hidden duck wont get added to regular game, but maybe he could be the star of his own gamemode?
black crow (neutral, mimick goose must be turned off)
has all the abilities that a duck has and appears as a duck to other ducks, however, geese and ducks cannot win even if ducks hold a majority as long as the black crow is still alive. the black crow can kill both geese and ducks, and wins when he's the only one left standing
It's like the Glitch without all the extra abilities

Parrot
he can morph in to someone for the entire game
In the meetings he looks normal
he gets abilites of person that he morphed into
he wins if he is alive and the person he morphed into gets voted out (if he is dead it doesn't count (so he can't win if dead))
he wins himself
he will be pretty easy to detect beacuse no one will see him, if played well can be really good
it would be like "anti dodo"?
it would add some more ways to win for dodo
he can try to hide and look like the parrot
Love that idea TBH
how does that work with proximity chat?
will people be able to realize that you don't sound like who you're supposed to?
An idea i had for an alternative form of the morphling was that they an infinite duration morph up until a meeting of anyone they kill. They also get comms sabotage
also people would realise who the parrot is almost immediately
people'd realise that someone's been missing for the entire game and figure that theyre the parrot and morphed into someone
the parrot could lie that he is hiding in the vent that he is the mechanic
i think its a hard role but its posiblle to win
mechanics dont just stay hiding in vents forever
they still do tasks
they still go around looking for bodies
and he can morph in any round
so he can be himself for a long time
and then morph into someone to try make it seam that just no seen him beacuse its small chance
of finding someone when theres not many players
alive
but then in practice thats just the morphling but a bit better and they have to get someone voted out
It kind of breaks the game for the geese. The parrot catches a duck or vulture and quickly morphs into them and tries to get them voted out. If the duck or vulture says they just morphed into them so they are the parrot then geese have no way to vote either out. They just have to pray that a vigilante is still alive with a bullet or that a sheriff is still alive to kill the parrot
they can kill/vote him in the first rounds
and then they are safe
and if you dont want you can turn it off
i think it would be a good role
but hard to win
It’s a good idea but prox ruins it
yes but
again i feel like thats a bit of a stretch and its too complicated and hard to win with it anyway
even if they know who is the parrot morphed into they dont know who is the parrot
Parrot:
The Parrot has to collect 15 treasure chests around the map to win. Only the Parrot can see the treasure and they have to wait 3 seconds before collecting each chest.
or
I think that would be a better idea for this
Parrot
can copy someones abilitys
so if
it takes a duck ability
he turns into a duck
a sheriff
That doesn't have any interaction with any other players. You're basically playing like a goose and if you task win then only you win
he turns into a sheriff
(neutral) bounty hunter:
a role that, at the start of the game, gets a random non-duck target that they need to vote out to win and if they disconnect or get killed theyre assigned another non-duck target
Like a neutral role. And it does technically because some people may find you suspicious standing still at weird spots finding and may eject you if they figure out your Parrot
Or kill you if they are duck
That's been suggested before and they don't like the idea of any roles that change teams.
you can just claim youre a goose doing tasks
and no one will vote you out
no the treasure
Not if it’s in a corner with no tasks
wouldnt be in the tasks spot
The chests could spawn anywhere
no one's going to go "oh this person is standing on this corner he must be a duck"
if its possible to get it of corsue
But they may get you ejected for being a Parrot
besides not that many people are going to notice you going into a weird spot for a second
That's not really much of a give away and the Dodo could easily mimic that. It's kind of similar to the pigeon but the pigeon is very interactive with other players and geese can call meetings periodically to reset the pigeon. What can you do against someone that just has to run around to 15 different places and click a button at each place?
but if it spawns randomly then odds are it'll almost always spawn in normal places
Not really. There are a lot of weird corners and stuff
True
yes but the "normal places" cover much more space than those "weird places"
so odds are they'll mostly spawn in normal places out in the wild
but they can code so it doesn't spawn on normal tasks
It sounds more appropriate for its own game mode. Like scavenger hunt or something
Not really
why not
It could spawn ANYWHERE
Depending on the map it could be more likely to spawn in a normal spot
But like in the middle of Bridge in the SS Mother Goose
That’s weird
the middle of bridge isnt really a weird spot to stand in
if youre going to do a task there its not a weird spot to stand in when you go inside the room
i feel like it could maybe be its own gamemode but not its own role
What do you mean. There isn’t a task there…
And there would be no reason to stand there
yes there would
What reason
But yeah definitely it’s own game mode at least
there isnt a task exactly there but you could walk into the middle and then do a task down south or up north
ive done that
I-
the bridge isnt really that large
what do you think about my #🎮︱gamemode-ideas
but what about a role that gets assigned a random goose at the beginning that they have to vote out
That's the Executioner from TOU which they've already considered.
mayor goose is x2 vote
Reaper- can kill anyone including ducks but ducks can't kill it. only vigilante geese can
shifter goose he can shift whit a goose or whit a neutral role but if shifts into a duck he just dies
also yes this is the shifter from tou
the devs said theyve already considered most tou roles
We have! We will carefully examine most role ideas to consider their subsequent effect on the overall balance of classic mode. Please check out #850063497877913630 to see some ideas that we are tinkering with.
Role idea for Halloween: The Crow: They have no powers while alive, but once killed, they have a certain amount of time to get revenge for their murder, and it only lasts until the killer is dead.
Role changer
Thi role just has 1 ability to change his role(role changer) to other role but if it is a duck he dies
And if this mindset is applied to a significant number of geese, then barely any geese will ever do their tasks and the ducks will win a disproportionate amount of the time.
reseructor goose can revive 1 dead player but second one gets themselves killed
They're most likely not going to add any roles that bring a player back to life.
whats the downside cause thats already very strong to begin with.
however you are slower
my last suggestion is seagull which needs to find 20 pieces of food hidden to other players to win
Builder Goose, this goose can build once, being able to either build a door while in a doorway (such as to block a duck from killing them by building a wall between them) or to build a cover over a vent (to make it so ducks and the mechanic can't enter or leave through that vent, although they can still be inside it if they come from another vent). Both of these builds would break upon the next meeting that's called, which might cause a goose to not want to report all the time so that their creation sticks around.
Toxic duck
Cannot vent
Has an ability that when activated 5 seconds later fills the room that it was activated in with poison gas that if any player (toxic duck and all ducks included) has prolonged exposure to will die. The gas will disapear in 30 seconds. Strategies that could be used involve hanging out with a group of geese and wait for someone to pass through and use it then and blame them instead. Another strategy if you know your duck allies you could coordinate with them and use the gas to possibly detour people towards a specific room.
Wraith Duck
Turn invisible for a few seconds. If you pass near someone, they will know a wraith passed them (maybe an audio/visual cue, like the lights flickering or howling wind). You cannot kill while invisible but you can vent and sabotage.
Mortician Goose
Once per game (or more, may adjust based on player amount) can scan a corpse it finds in order to figure out what role it was, this gives a reason for good guys to possibly be hanging around corpses and could be used as an alibi for ducks, but could also give crucial information on what role a body was. The scan would likely take a few seconds, so it has to actually stand there on the corpse for a little bit.
Ah well hey, looking forward to it-
sorry i got distracted i was about to describe it
if the mortician/undertaker goose votes someone out in the majority
then after they are ejected, their role is revealed to that mortician/undertaker goose
Ooh, sounds neat, was thinking that a role that would give a reason to hang around a corpse and possibly draw suspicion would be interesting so may try and think of something else to go along that path
Listener Duck (Goose?)
Once per game, they can set up a small listening device anywhere on the map with a small radius (one that can go through walls), after doing this they can stand still anywhere to pull up a small screen that will show who is within the device's radius and talking, along with letting them hear what is being said. Non-ducks (or ducks if it's a goose) can interact with this device to do a small task that will destroy it, meaning hiding it well will be crucial to possibly learning important information.
The Raven
A solo role that once per game, can depart from its body to leaving it behind, leaving its corpse, and move around freely in a spectral form (can't interact with ghosts at all). While spectral, it can kill players although it has a pretty decent kill cooldown and wins as the last alive or when there's only one other non-duck alive. When it gets near, players will hear the ominous sound of cawing. If it gets killed before it goes spectral it dies like normal, and while spectral it can be killed if a meeting is called (button may be disabled to let it have a chance), and its own corpse can be used to call a meeting so picking a spot to hide its body when it goes spectral is crucial.
IT will be good if he will have a limit for being a ghost like 30 seconds with 10 seconds coldown and he needs to come to his body to be back and if his body îs reported or if he isn after 30 seconds at his body he will die
S-o IT will be balanced
Tracker Goose
Can search corpses for a few seconds in order to see the path the killer took the first five seconds after the kill in the form of red ducky footprints, letting it know the general direction they went in and if they vented (if the trail leads to a vent).
This role sound balanced and nice IT will be cool to be în The game
Lost Duckling
A duck that starts out being unable to kill, vent, or sabotage, and not knowing who the other ducks are alongside the other ducks not knowing who it is, if a duck tries to kill them then they instead recognize each other and hug, and the Lost Duckling becomes a regular Duck.
IT doesn t help ducks s-o i don t think IT gonna be added
Also Gaggle from YouTube told me that mobile release îs coming very soon
Nice
With mobile update we will get more roles?
And where ca-n we install IT?
From The Gaggle from google or from google play store 🤔🤔
Mobile will be exactly the same as desktop and cross platform
it will be available on the apple store and the google play store.
Nice
There will be new roles coming after the release of mobile
including a new game mode called fowl play
😀😀
Fair, more just thought it'd be a cute little role that could be there for if balancing wanted a weaker Duck alongside some stronger ones- but it isn't really that useful for the Ducks yeah
👍
No one would want to play this character in its original form
Yeah fair-
Even when we make roles more powerful and balance them by subduing an ability people tend to think the role sucks.
What is more mind boggling, instead of turning it off, people continue to turn it on, mis-use it, and the complain about it.
Why? Just turn it off- That's what I do with roles that the group tends to not like, but people will wanna complain I suppose
Innocent Goose
This goose cannot be killed by any other goose (outside voting), if they attempt to do so they are blinded by its glowing innocence and miss the shot, although both learn what the role of the other is in the process.
I figure it'd cause Vig to lose their shot since they did use it, just missed, and Sheriff would have a cooldown (if it does normally, haven't actually played it yet) still but wouldn't die since it didn't actually kill a fellow goose.
Fixer Goose
Once per game, can use its ability to remotely access the task for an ongoing sabotage and remotely stop it.
Good role
not useless but not that great with out proxi
fun fact, the spy is the most powerful duck
It can sniff a mimic, it can snipe a sheriff or a vigilante, avoid a canadian kill
I put it up there with the vigilante and assassin
Yea but IT s hard without meetngs
Could always cause some with the excuse of 'checking if people are dead'
It's a regular duck with the ability to learn people's roles as they call meetings. > It's brutally strong
ngl spy duck is really good
Bioscanner Duck
Possibly in the place of one of the sabotage options, this duck has a bioscan button that, upon using, shows them the current location of everyone on the map, using red dots to signify fellow ducks and green dots for everyone else. Likely infinite use, just with a decent cooldown.
In a social deception game, knowledge is everything. Any role that gives you knowledge is arguably better than a role that can kill. If you can do both that's really strong. In a game where people can be rewarded for lying, having more people talking doesn't necessarily make your role better. If anything I've found people tend to give misinformation when they can chat in proximity.,
Keep on getting goose and duck mixed up, one day I'll get it right
Screaming Goose
Once per game can release a scream to stun anyone nearby for a few seconds, giving it time to flee from possible killers.
This sound too Op
Well it's only once and it's only really effective if it knows who killers are, otherwise they would already be on it and killing it.
And easy to waste it on innocents.
That's on the player for being overly paranoid though, and Dodo could try and frame itself for any role.
Yea
Dodo would also have to know they're Screaming somehow to pull that play.
The Crow
Wins if alive and the game ends via sabotage (either with or without Ducks), and once per game during a sabotage can kill in order to help the sabotage go off. (Wins this way because then it can raid and steal all the shiny things from the ship after it's all sabotaged)
i think very very little games end by sabotage
Yeah, this role may cause more to do so since it'd be helping out with sabotages when they happen. Plus if it wins with ducks it can try to ally with them and convince them to sabotage more so that they could work together.
I influencer you have a mission vote some one out etc if you do it you win but game still goes on
Tp goose 2 per game can teleport anywhere on the map by opening map and pressing a place
Confusion Duck
Can use its ability on anyone it passes by in order to confuse them, although can only target one player at a time and using it on someone else changes the selection to them. This means that in the next meeting, that player will automatically vote on themselves when the votes are tallied despite who they may think they're voting on. To balance it, this ability might replace the sabotage option.
the swapper duck the swapper duck has a ability that allows the swapper duck to change their victim's controls but first they have to get a sample from their victim (like the morphling) the ability lasts 15 seconds if a meeting is called while the victim's controls are swapped their controls healed
I don't know a name but it's a bird that if he fats killed he wins
what
There is already the dodo that needs to be voted out.
but instead of be voted be killed by a duck
I wish there was something you could do after being Classic Goose. Sometimes i get hit with that several times a night. I would like it if you could complete all of your tasks as Classic Goose and then maybe get some BONUS tasks that will earn you some unused Goose role, or perhaps a new role even.
we have a sort of draft mode int he pipeline, but there are enough roles that if your host wanted they could guarantee you didnt have any classic geese
Cowardly Goose - Neutral role has to survive till the end. If they are near anyone you gain a panic meter which at 100% you just die. You win with Crew or Ducks so you are both good and bad depending on what you feel will keep you alive.
Armored Goose - Have "body armor" so if a duck tries to kill you their kill goes on CD and you lose a plate of armor which can be set in the lobby for (x) - (x) amount of lives. No animation given so you don't know but it slows down killers if they try to take you out
Kind of like this idea but the armor goose seems op
My other idea instead of armored was Achilles Goose where they can only get sliced from behind like their "achilles heel" but idk how hard that would be to put in with lag n desync n stuff
Yeah that would be hard
Ninja Duck where you have a smoke bomb and you can use it to put yourself in the closest vent to you as long as there is one within a certain range.
Guard goose - can make someone invincible (any role) for some time (can't be targeted so it's easier for killers) after some time it stops been invincible cant uset on the same person in a row
Kung-Fu Duck. Can delivery a death touch that allows the goose to walk 10 steps, then their heart explodes.
( i guess there might be a lot of reasons why that wouldnt work.. but.. kill bill!)
Trapper Duck kills by placing a small hard to notice trap on the ground that kills the next person to walk over it. Lasts until it kills or meeting or could have a duration you can edit in lobby to fine tune balancing with it
That wouldn’t work, it would just be rng with no way to counter
Ok
Venomer duck can venom people instead of killing but can't sabotage
You are less probable to get sused
Venom gets them killed after some seconds
plumber duck. once a round can flush a drain and kill anyone inside, be it a duck or mechanic.
Or pigeon
Casino goose can know of a person role is a duck but 30% of time fails
Just works 1 time
Dictator goose
Can use a ability to get voted out some one if a bad role can continue using the ability else he dies
Owl has a more big vision and hearing range is flashlight mode see everything
Ugly duckling if you read the story is actually a goose so is in goose team
Has an ability that can't get near duck or duck to him so it's good defence and a way to find duck
So it is 1 time use
Wins if he guesses 3 (can change value) roles
Revenge Goose
If they get voted out, they have a ten second time period after to select someone else to kill with them. Doesn't work if they die in any other way.
Southern giant petrel. He is a neutral role he throws a stomach acid that killed every one who has it when a meeting is called (can only be used a certain amount of times between meetings) if some one encounters some one covered in acid he can help take it off if you are covered in acid you can't move the actual real bird stomach acid is really sticky
Wins if he is last surviving
Also needs to get voted out if geese want to win
Scrambler duck.
During a meeting can use an ability that cancels one player's unique abilities until next meeting (pigeon cant sneeze, mechanic cant vent, a morphling cant morph but can still kill as killing is a shared ability not unique, etc)
Cant use it on the same player more than once per game
This is really good
Wait
You put duck so why would a duck use it on a morphling
Hidden ducks
That's a good way to find out mimic
Tracker goose. He sees a arrow to the farthest non goose for some seconds
It feels a little TOO good of a method to me
I was talking about your role
Yeah i feel like scrambler duck shouldnt work on mimic, lover, and technically assassin.
Well it sounds fair
Idk a name but it's basic ly 2 of the same role you want to get voted out the other if the game ends and you voted out the other one and you are still alive you get a bonus
like the opposite of lovers... Jilted Lovers
should be like a gravy goose though probably.. just gets you a bonus if you survive at the end.
where you want the other voted out or killed
Voted not killed
Sounds good
True
Speed Goose/Duck- works with the Alliancer. Twice per round the alliancer can give the speed goose twice the speed they have for 30 seconds. They don't have to be close to their partner. Bur being together gives the alliancer speed for 30 seconds. If the alliancer and the speed goose/duck survive at the end, they win if it's goose and alliancer. If it is duck and alliancer (the alliancer is neutral, not good and not bad), the speed duck needs to kill the alliancer.
Mid controlling duck
Cant kill and vent or report
If they survive 3 rounds they are able to mind control a geese into thinking their a duck
This one is for when the game gets a higher amount of players
Idk a good name but basically a duck that can kill twice if in 5 rounds no duck has been eliminated or 2 specific targets were in 3 rounds (the targets can’t be ducks) they have to choose which way they want to go at the beginning of the game
Army duck
Can kill ducks even tho they don’t know who they are can’t vent but can kill twice
If they kill a duck they have the same consequence as the sheriff
Idk any better ideas and the first one was already known for sure
Why would someone even doubt they are a goose if they played 3 rounds as goose and then suddenly appear as a duck
Obv cuz after that time u know someone is most likely getting controlled and u mostly can’t say a geese is 100% safe in the first 3 rounds bruh
what about a role that can convert a goose to a duck once per game
