To generally bring map ideas here is map 1 (name and stuff of the such) I’ve came up with.
Gooselwood Walk:
General Idea:
Multiple Shops of the such to go into. There will be windows to look out of to catch people in the act using those. This is also going to be a street (a circle more like. Shops will surround a lot of it but there is also a little middle area which is a park which you can also kill people. Shops go from a clothing store to a old fashioned diner.

A big black marble floor with a massive blue star in the center. There is a side piece with a chest full of clothes where you can change your outfit as well as a computer to the opposite side of the chest.
I think I covered it all. Basically this would be my idea for a new ERE. I went for a modern vibe but this can of course be changed in any way 👍.

A wild west themed desert ghost town may be a neat map and theme, maybe a train can rest in the middle of the town and use as a divide between the two halves that can be moved around in, and there could be a sabotage to cause the train to leave, making the town more open for a bit but causing those who were on it (and trying to move between sections) to be trapped together for a little while until it returns. Other sabotages may be triggering a line of dynamite to blow up, opening a sinkhole to swallow up the town, and sabotaging windmills or watermills to cause power inside the buildings (although not outside) to go out. Each building would be a bit small with a different theme, a saloon, a bank, sheriff station, etc.

Era Idea 2: Wasteland Escape
Map
Frostbite Finchland:
This is a frozen wasteland that has been converted to a home. It comes with a lake and 1 or 2 cabins . It’s midnight at the time and little lamp posts are lighting the way. There is a big pond in the center of the map, which can be sabotaged. It will drop in the center of the pond only. There is also a little forest at the edge of the map which you can go into which it will have some tasks and probably hunters. The cabins are lit by candles so they don’t be affected by lights going out.

It’s a igloo. There will be a book which is how you change the settings. If you want to change your outfit there is a Cubby Made Of Ice holding a jacket.
A pirate themed map that would feature two ships, a merchant ship on top and a pirate ship on bottom, the only way between the two being three planks that connect on the left, right, and middle. These planks could be sabotaged to temporarily make it a bit more difficult, and to kill those who cross them (maybe only one plank being able to be sabotaged per game, randomly decided which one). There would be stairs leading down into each part of the ship, and several rooms for sleeping, storage, prisoners on the pirate ship, and other various parts with many rooms. The voting out could be making someone walk the plank into a shark's jaws, and other sabotages could be sealing doors on one or the other boat, putting out all lights, and setting a fuse to shoot cannons and sink both ships.
Duck training facility
Lore wise this map could be a training facility where ducks train to infiltrate a goose hq of some kind so it would be a crude recreation of one of those. (I mean the ducks trained to pretend to be geese somewhere right?) So that would technically mean that all players are "ducks" in training and nobody actually "dies" (except the game could totally play normally)
Tasks wise i thought all of the tasks could be like cardboard recreations of what tasks would have been at said goose hq and if someone "dies" the bodies would just be a cardboard cutout. Just an idea that went through my head.

the map has a large gimmick around it, that is. being created by a dodo, not a shuttle or base sabotaged by ducks.
"The game" tasks, well. one task. a large 0/# task for each player, the # depending on the amount of tasks selected,
DUCKS have tasks here, every role has tasks here. but the dodo has rigged traps, not killing them
the dodo has their own "Control room" inside a very dark room [as in, a room that lowers vision when entered] with a hidden door that leads to it, the control panel brings up a sabotage menu, but the sabotages dont need to be rigged, but all start on a 60 second cooldown, and can ONLY have 2 activate a meeting each starting a "game", when a game is started. the rooms door slam shut, and wont open until the "game" is over, any player stuck in the room are given a very special task. the punishment for not finishing in time is dying, for every role but dodo / dueling dodo,
might not fit in with the theme, but hey i gave it a shot,

I'm a huge fan of the Saw franchise, so I'm always down for something inspired by Saw. The devs might need more convincing than me, though.

A haunted house or school would be nice. Maybe for back to school time you could add a high school or college. With cafeterias, librarys, gyms, and football/soccer field. Tasks could be like prepare food in cafeteria, scan books in library or return books to shelf, solve puzzles or equations in class rooms, get supplies from janitors closet and clean stuff, put an apple from cafe into teachers room, do a problem or something in a journal and turn it in like homework, or some sports related tasks for the gym or field! It would also be cool for sabotages to be stuff like fire alarms: where they pull the alarm and goose have to turn it off or find the fire, lock down drill: where ducks lock certain class room doors like in other maps, pop quiz: for this it could be in a class and you have to run there and answer some questions or something like a pop quiz and if someone doeant do it in time the teacher fails you and the ducks win, pacer test/ fitness test: run to the gym or field and complete task there before time runs out, or maybe the turn in homework could be a sabotage! Lastly, the button to call a meeting could be in the principals office, possible like an intercom on the principal's desk since it would be like calling all students to the office or calling them to one of those mandatory pep rallys

For any future victorian era maps, since vents aren't really a thing, adding a cabinet/closet that connects to another on the other side of a wall would be one way of making secret "vent" system for the killers

This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

Spiritual Era
In this spiritual realm, it’s been taken over by evil spirits such as, Zamzin (Spirit of Fire), Qasmire (Spirit of Darkness), Ninvinfold, (Spirit of Reaping), Rondvor (Spirit of Air), and finally Axzti (Spirit of Trickery) [In case you didn’t notice basically sabs. Spirit = Sabs] can the goose defeat the things summoning the evil in this realm.
Sabs/ Sab Activator:
How to activate the Sab is a little witch cauldron which you need to stir with a spoon which it will give you a random evil spirit. This can be used once every round and there are 2 around the map. You can only have 3 spirits per game.

Ducks were in prison until they killed a goose guard and they took his disguise and the guards were aware of that but they dont know who so they wanna check who is a prisoner ducks and that was when the prisoner ducks knows the exactly moment to strike

I dont know if this belongs to here but I would love a part of a map where
- only one person can enter
- no one else can enter after someone goes in it
- nothing can happen to the person inside that area for 30 seconds
- after the time is up they have to go through a narrow hall to only 1 exit and thats the only way to get back to the map so ducks can wait at the end to make this area not op
- if you dont get out after the 30 seconds you will die
- the person thats in the area is compleately protected so not even voting can work on this person if a meeting was called while they were inside the are
general idea: I think this would be something like a bunker and I can see this are being use to consontreate and think without the stress of getting killed and like ı said there is only one exit from this room so it wont be op

It is an upstairs of the Manor map!
New rooms:
A few bedrooms, a greenhouse, another smaller bathroom.
A laundry and storage type room.
A master bedroom with bathroom and open sliding doors to a backyard balcony that has stairs which let's us run out back the manor with a pool back there only.
Tasks would include:
pillow of course.
Making a bed. 2 part task getting the sheets from the storage area then making the bed.
Fixing the piping In small bathroom and in master bedroom 2 pt task.
Clean some pictu tasks as with dstairs
Switch laundry from washer to dryer a quick 2 pt task.
Hiding places:
Swooper has cabinets etc to hide ins till but!
The smaller bathroom in middle of the hallway for upstairs has something to hide as swooper in the walls somehow to see into the halls around in front of jt. And the wall also it leads into another room nearby(a secret passage that works like how a vent would) as well

Layout : a map with long hallways with rooms branching off and 4 different floors
Surface : home to 0 anomaly birds, has no hiding spots, is a large open area, tasks out here are mostly based on cleaning the walls or observing the outside, the sabotage is calling in the "Birds of chaos"
they do a sweep of the surface, they arrive 15 seconds after the sabotage is called, any bird on the surface is shot on sight. [THE DUCK MUST BE ON THE SAME FLOOR TO CALL THE SABOTAGE]
Entrance zone : home to 0 anomaly birds, has a cafeteria and is the only floor with communications on it, the main power room is located here as well, how ever, its so well secured you can only shut off the lights,
heavy containment : home to 3 different anomaly birds, is home to the emergency bomb, witch is a sabotage for ducks. tasks here take place mostly in the anomaly bird rooms, mostly doing tests or interviewing them,
Light containment : home to 2 anomaly birds, and all types of birds witch have committed bird-crimes [ducks, geese, blue jays, any type of bird really]
the anomaly birds can be what ever you want them to be, ancient bird in heavy that really is just a small dinosaur, a anomaly bird witch causes players to see hallucinations of other players or even faking other players dying, most sabotages releasing the anomaly birds
Map name: The catacombs
Layout: A very long thin map with many side cooridors.
It's based on the french catacombs. Sabotages could include an avalanche of bones you need to shovel to dig out the bodies, a gas container than poisons rooms slowly (when poisoned you move slower), sabotaging the ventelation system that moves O2 into the map and maybe one for good roles that distracts ducks in some way like a haunting.
It is a dark area with small jail like windows that let in a bit of light.

hear me out. Duckhalla. Viking themed map meant to take place in Jotunheim. maybe a few teleporters in the are to bring you to different places in Duckhalla. Have a Duck odin statue. blah blah blah you get it
Dinosaur park would have a crow nest area where you can see all fowl(minimap dots) however there is a sabotage that could release terodactyls that would kill a player there(kinda like chandelier?) end condition sabotage would be electrical fence power(backup generator running out of power). ac off would have map fog up similar to smoke maybe less cogested just a bunch of blind spots(cause its an eco dome? or oversized green house). Just an off the wall idea of jurassic park inspired map.
though now I think about it reusing assets would be better hmmm. I will think of another that could recycle assets more.

Everyone, I need to stop this train. The Triassic period is defined by the mass extinction event of the dinosaurs. Although some dinosaurs survived the between the Jurassic and Triassic they are not the ones we would find interesting and were mostly little guys. Modern day Komodo Dragon sizes and some crocodiles but basically you're saying to do a dinosaur themed map in a time period when most dinosaurs were extinct.

I feel a medieval castle (possibly with multiple floors as its main feature) would be really cool to see, the vote lynch could be a guillotine and sabotages would be blowing out torches as lights, lowering the drawbridge to let the duck army invade, and other various things. There could be a throne room, a treasure room, a dungeon, lots of neat stuff.

In full lobbies it's already a struggle to get a word in at meetings sometimes. If there were a game mode with more than 16 players i would imagine it to be a game mode with no meetings
Like I said, its already s struggle to maintain 16 player lobbies across the globe. Many countries don't have consistent and unthrottled internet access.

It maybe was already sugested but maybe a castle or medieval style map would be fun
just shotgunning ideas, i like the tree house idea, but might need some expanding like put two tree houses on the top corners and connect it with a bridge that can collapse for kills each round. maybe put it in the forest with like a Game & Fish building, with the forest shrub being walls, and a campsite for the meet up areas and an abandoned barn / shack. could do some fishing, site seeing, fire building, fruit gathering and rare flora gathering tasks. and have like sticks around the map that if you can step on make a crunch sound or piles of leaves so people can hear you coming. people would need to get the key from the game and fish to open the barn/shack that unlocks to more doorways, where there are also tools needed to do some tasks like maybe clear vines or some over growth that open up new 'door ways' and the ducks can get the knife here for the drop bridge sabo. can use the shrubs to travel around as like vents, or maybe 'walk through' shrubs, but you can hear a rustle noise. can prolly use a dingy boat as a shuttle or even a vine swing
another cool idea might be like a biosphere map that has a few different environments inside of it

How about an underground mine? A part is just a series of maze-like tunels and the other is the extraction or storing of ores/metals? That would have variety of ideas for tasks and maybe a faster way to travel with minecarts? And that would have a variety of ideas for Environmental kills.
I would like to see a map with multiple floors simular in function to the submerged map in Among Us (2 floors at the very least), there would be a task at the ground level in an elevator shaft which would be matainance to which the Elevator will be disabled while being worked on but the ducks can turn that safety off or even having the elevator drop completely as a random enviromental sabatage, if its an elevator drop then the cables need to be replaced.
I would never rule out any possibility of a map variant. All the maps/themes moving forward will feel very unique, as you can see going from the Nexus Colony to Mallard Manor. The next map has a very unique feel to it as well. I think when the time is right, we'll probably see some 2 or more floor maps, but just to do them... cause another game or mod has them, isn't the right play. It'll happen here, when it fits the theme, and when it feels right.
Modern city building would prob be the best setting to do that kinda thing in. Just random thought

A farm map would be funny cause they are animals, have them do tasks like milk cows, clean stalls, collect ripe crops, make apple pie, fix a tractor, hide in hay bales or in tool sheds, sabotage could be food shortage have to water plants, and an anvil in the barn drops

Hello ^^ Your map of the mansion, in addition to the fact that it is good, has opened up the field of perspective until then reserved for space shuttles. You have to develop more in different places, it works very well. It can range from places on earth, in mythology, in a movie itself, to different times and countries, real or imagined. something i think would crave everybodies blood lust for the people who complain about roles not doing enough would be to add enviromental kills that anybody can activate. Duck or geese alike. That would be great for two reasons, 1 bloodlust as stated, and 2 content. Or even enviromentals that will randomly kill you on their own. for instance, the red eyed monster at the pond.
The are 2 more Ducktorian maps on the way, set in Loondon. As well as a series of 3 adventure style maps coming after that.
I'm really digging the sets of three. Reminds me of Magic: the Gathering set blocks

Id love a school map :3 Have a Gym where a task is shooting a shot, A sabotage that means get to class or die. And more :3 Have more then enough neat task ideas.
I think that if you want tasks like shooting basketball hoops, then a carnival with carnival games, a fun house etc, would be a better setting.
Carnival defiantly would be fun too :3 But surprisingly theres a lot more fans of School settings. Maybe cause more people can relate to them. Plus a lot of people say Among Us used a lot of Dangan Ronpa Inspiration. So its defiantly hitting back to the origin as well.
Yeah, I'm more thinking that killing and shooting in a school is probably going to hit too close to home for many people.

Not to put this bluntly I kinda dont care who is triggered. Its a game about Gooses who fart and kill one another. If somehow this triggers people they really need to get over themselves.

I know when I played Halo they had a Teacher game they use to play for roleplayers 😉 But who knows :3 Just ideas.
Yeah I wouldn't see a problem with a school setting but I dont think it would be exciting compared to let's say a cyberpunk theme, or an ancient greco-roman map
Sometimes simple and basic is best 😉 And it feels like a callback to the Origins. And it was already such a fan-favorite on Among Us they had multiple versions of it that were fan-made. I know I am not the only Cartoonz fan but I remember Not 1 but 2 Additions they did of School things (One custom Map and one addition to a map.) And making the map wouldnt be very hard in the least. And kinda like how they added to the Machine recently. Additions would be very simple. Would you like me to make a simple concept drawing?
But if you noticed my comments you find I do more things for the Lols and there would defiantly be more hype and memorable moments on a school map cause everyone can relate and tell old or current irl stories about school that I know would be Hilarious. I already mentioned I played Halo 3 but there was always a fun little story behind teacher coming from people that I wont ever forget 😉

I like the Train idea but if I were to make a suggestion I would suggest going for the "Story Train" sorta idea where the train is inner linked in a circle (Preferably 8 parts) :3 Kinda a Story Junkie as well as a Rick and Morty Fan and itd be a callback to both. Giving a LARGE amount of different play options and ideas to choose from. And hopefully large enough to be able to have 16 players on 😄 And if they feel that wouldnt be enough of a map we can go more Meta on the interior make it so were like on a mirror on the inside of the train. Go all out weird XD.
Plus seeing Gaggle has been changing Mechanic to Snoop in the mansion. Maybe we could do a Portal Duck 😉 Were the duck can make a portal And change said portal.
Id also like to add to throw in references to Harry Potter Train (Like a Red Train, HogGoose Express) Id love for there to be a way to get to the top of the train too. Maybe a sabotage on the steps that launches them under the train. Maybe another that sucks them out a window 😉

Sabotages like tsunamis, floods, and sharks. when voted out someone gets sent down a whirl pool ( Or maybe walking the plank if a pirate ship is a better idea :]

- Flood sabotage, unplug a leak ( Geese need to plug the leak back up
- Shark sabotage, knock a bait bucket in the water ( dive and retrieve the bucket - the ducks can also dive and kill geese, the sharks block view

I just thought of an idea with the pond area there should be another kill but only can be activated when the doors close. the shed should have another kill that kills everythgin out in the pond area.
That would be neat, kind of like being vented into space on the first two maps. Though I doubt any new sabotage would be added to MM, that idea could be used in a future map

Just got idea of a Japanese themed map with a ramen task
we've actually been talking about what to do as the third map for the adventure series
we've talked about stuff like atlantis and ancient rome but more recently we've been talking about feudal japan
perhaps some samurai statues that swing some big swords down to kill
i have been giving it some thought
could be pretty interesting for a setting, i dont know how many people try to tackle the genre

i just saw the train ideas from a few days ago. What about a "Murder on the Oriole Express" map? Introduce Crows and Orioles for that map? Crows could be basically like the conductor who can change the order of the train cars or something? make it harder for people to complete their tasks? orioles could be the ticket master or something that could peek at people's tickets to get a clue as to what their role might be? not entirely sure on the details yet. this may be a game mode and map tie in sort of thing. no idea. could just be a terrible idea in general

-When voted out, you are dropped in Mystery trap door
We are thinking of releasing a series of co-operatiove escape rooms in the GGD universe on the engine where you and a few friends can try your hand at solving you way through a gauntlet of mysteries and puzzles

but seriously, suppose we had certain obstructions on a map. similar to how the chandelier in the manor can block a pathway. Say, a pathway that diverts into multiple directions and one is always blocked by a tractor, and the ONLY way to move it is to approach from a specific side and do a special specific task to move the tractor. Say, crank the crankshaft until it starts up and then it drives forward a bit to block the next path
back when we were considering an atlantis map
an idea was that there was a sort of tides mechanic where certain passageways would get flooded and unflooded

oo, that's neat. especially if you could fire a cannon at the other ship (even as a goose or a dodo) to potentially environmental kill someone. Similar to the intercom, each person gets one shot of the canon each game
I love the idea of an environmental kill that can potentially be triggered by a goose. Sort of like pushing the button for the shuttle when someone is doing a task where the shuttle comes in on nexus

I would like to see a forest map where at night it's foggy and harder to see and at day its bright and clear. There'd be a campsite where you call meetings
- some sabotages could be a sudden darkness where the campfire gets put out, tent gets blown down, or maybe a bear attack if you get too close to the trees
- some tasks could be getting sap from a tree, fueling the fire, fishing
When voted alive, you are roasted on the campfire
( On this map, snoop/mechanic goose becomes survivalist goose. It's just a rename and they can hide in trees )

I suggest adding a new sabotage in an upcoming map called Duck Swap or Goose Switch, it would switch a duck with a goose which would allow strategic kills. This could also be a role but I'll post it here

Arcade map where theres mini games and they are tasks. The games give you tickets which give you a bonus if you survive to the end.
Bank Map:
Could be based in victorian type era with bank teller section, money vault, safety deposit box vault, manager office, customer area etc.
Geese are bank workers with tasks such as sorting money, serving customers (like the phone home task?), opening safety deposit box, counting money etc
The ducks are bank robbers with sabotages that kind of fit this feel e.g. causing a lockdown (all doors closing), maybe enviromental kill could be closing the vault door on geese etc
The reason behind this map idea is it could have a fun game mode alongside which would involve ducks robbing the bank where they can't win by killing only by "stealing" x amount of money and getting it to the front door. It keeps the duck vs geese theme but gives an alternative goal for the ducks which is not kill everyone but try not to get caught while stealing.

Possible sabotages
-Avalanche sabotage, it's like the chandelier sabotage on how they have a certain spot they can hit. There are tasks higher up the mountain just like how there is a task under the chandelier rug so there's always a feeling of sudden death. (You can avoid this by listening to the signs that clearly state where the avalanche won't hit - however, if in reach, you will be killed(To activate it you must go up and scream into the mountains, it gives the option to cause a sabotage. The task the corresponds to it is yodeling into the mountains - you wait to hear an echo)
-Hail is another sabotage that makes you go into the cabin so you don't die ( it becomes harder to see like the fire sabotage ). To fix this you go to the tv inside of the cabin and change the channel to the sunny weather forecast. (To activate it the duck changes it to a hailing forecast but the corresponding task to it is to fix the antenna)
-Ski lift to get up faster but can be sabotaged similarly to the teleporter on nexus map
Possible tasks
-Clearing snow from solar panels, heating fireplace, building a snowman, activate ski lift, make hot cocoa, etc
I can't exactly think of a spot ducks or mechanic goose could hide at but I think there could be snow patches they can hide inside. Mechanic goose's name could possibly be changed to ptarmigan or penguins

A creepy forest. Because it really hasn't been done... We are dealing with birds here... A forest just seems thematically appropriate.
Had an idea for not really a map, but a mechanic that might be fun on a map to help make it unique. Map manipulation! Like, imagine there is an x crossing path, but you're only able to go one way because of how the paths connect, like this.
then with a task or sabotage or something, the red path rotates, like this
changing the way you get around the map because the paths are now different
This would be interesting mechanic if added to the forest map idea above yours, this could or be a visible track inside a fog/moving trees (if haunted) or a pair of logs/downed trees if the forest isn't haunted

You are looking at this as in a way a geese would view as advantageous, when the idea of those spots is in no way intended for that purpose :)
An apartment complex / hotel layout where all tasks are themed towards things you'd call your landlord to fix IE plumbing, lights, cupboards, broken windows or stuff hotel staff would take care of IE make beds, clean rooms, take towels / blankets to various rooms (multipart task pick up and distrubute possibly replace dirty ones and take them back)
Would feature stairs as a longer but safer way to travel between floors and an elevator which would be one of the sabs that is quicker but risk dying (sorta like teleporter) Fire sab would disable elevator.
A vent system would connect between floors.
A laundry / garbage chute could act as a 1 way down travel method which could include a task "activating" it by putting something at the bottom to cushion the fall
I would like to see a carnival grounds map. the mini games could be the carnival games. sabatage the rides. imagine the ferris wheel coming lose and rolling across the field potentially crushing some geese.

Absolutely, we discussed this and it's definitely something we want to do in the near future. Adding a few smaller maps designed for 5-9 players in each theme.

Uh not really a map I expect to see any time soon. But would love to see a map based on santa's workshop where geese are the elfs and ducks are the ginches so to speak. Would be fitting for the xmas spirit.

role idea: betrayer duck, he wins normally as duck but can also win if he kills the other ducks

What about a space station on the moon or Mars? Where you have to do a task to get a space suit on in order to breath outside to do tasks outside? Also a kill animation where its the duck and a green 👽/ grey 👽(depends if moon or mars) and it walks up and does this thing where it kinda crouches, goes so fast you only see a flicker of movment, and the good falls apart in 4 strands.
Lets say there would be a thing were you have to do tasks with spacesuit and the duck could cut the oxygen so the goose dies and the body would be floating around outside or it would explode (like irl) and that bofy will be gone

Geese don't mine coal, they are environmentally friendly, They eject their garbage into space when they can or if they are on Blackswan they just leave it lying around.

Possilbe Ideas for Sabos: Lights of course, Helicopter Landing on Roof Sabo or a flyby assassin shooter ally, Car could run over anyone in Valet or possibly Parking (the werewolf car), Elevator could fall on a sabo and have a modifier to snap randomly depending on # of passengers and # of times triggers (would plummet a good distance and not kill until snap)
Could be a useful return of Intercom / Cams mechanic.
Jail could be you getting thrown out the entrance and locked outside.
It might be a weird build due to tower and having to utilize stairways, unless they make it only a few stories tall.
%map conveyer/oneway system type map, the idea is a map that is constantly moving or that can be only transversed in one direction to give the concept of it moving.
Could be a space station/ship (since they spin for artificial gravity) or a factory/aquarium with conveyers. The Idea is that everything is moving in one direction constantly so that you have to think ahead of where you'll be and how to get to your tasks. In terms of sabotages opens up new possibilities like reversing movement direction or stopping the automatic movement all together.
Could also just be a fun feature for part of a single map as opposed to an entire map

Volcano Research Facility. Several disconnected rooms within the belly of a volcano. Twice per game, the screen shakes and the lava rises. If you are not inside or on high ground, your goose is cooked.
I like the idea, but maybe it could be tied to a sabotage, making the lava rise (cutting places off) or drop (regaining access to them). Or, if that proves to be a problem, maybe a button somewhere that triggers lava (magma?) levels. Naturally, any avian in the area when the molten rock flows in will be killed instantly.
%map a map located on top of a cruise liner. One of the sabotages/task could be to redirect the ship, but it turns too harshly and slides some of the items to new locations.

I really like the idea, but 2 house maps might get a bit repetitive (then again we do have 2 spaceship maps so it’s more a question of ascetics and level design to make it feel different)

I also like that idea, maybe one that’s crashed onto an alien planet, so half of is is like the SS Mothergoose hexagon pattern, the other half being a much more weirdly laid out cave network.

I have no idea about a theme. But what about a smaller map that does have 2 layers. U switch between layers by using one of 2 elevators. If ducks sabotage lights it does one of two of things, choose which sounds more balanced.
- If they sabotage light only the layer on which they sabotaged is dark
- Both layers are dark, and geese have to turn on lights on either side (if they activate on upper half, light is restored there, but not on lower half until they reactivate it there.)
I think this would make for interesting level design.

Intercon not being on mallard makes since, but i would suggest some type of environmental kill for goosechapel. Mother goose and Black Swan both has airlock. Nexus has shuttle and teleporter. Mallard has the chandelier yet goose chapel doesn't have anything that I'm aware of. Something like a duck sab that activated a wagon driving threw a random alley would of been cool and it would similar to the shuttle.
We know that goosechapel has no environmental kill
We don't want or need the maps to feel formulaic
eventually i can see a map with only enviro sabos and one with only direction changing sabos, but that is far far in the future and still only a probability
Id love to see a carnival map. Tasks would be fairly easy to do. you could have carnival games for some tasks. like throwing darts at balloons. ring the bell with a hammer. the game where you move a metal ring around a wire without touching it. Lots there to choose from. Other things like picking up trash and putting it in the can. Maybe work some of the stands. A mini game where you are making the cotton candy. Have a kissing booth set up for something silly. Sabs could be interesting too. Stuff as simple as the lights going out, to stuff like the feris wheel breaks and rolls in a straight line for an enviromental kill. Maybe a food poisoning kill where everyone has to run to the bathroom? not sure on that one. Maybe a house of mirrors that creates a bunch of copies of you walking around?

%map Wild West, the Wild West will still have the jail mechanic but if there is a split tie between 2 people, they will have a duel. The winner stays alive the loser is dead. Instead of lights/fog, there can be a sandstorm. There also may be a sabotage where there is a count down and every one has to get inside before robbers(npc’s) come out a kill people who are outside(this can’t be used with door sabotage) also a role that can go with it would be roadrunner who wins if 1 of every bird either dies or gets voted out. Prankster duck who can collect tumble weed, put them in a building and whoever go’s into tho building has a harder time seeing and moves slower. The tumble weed trap also go’s away after a certain time limit. But they need to collect a certain amount of tumble weed that blow around the map. Also I can see a task where you can free a horse and a wagon and use it to bring you to a difference part of the map (kind of like the shuttle).

A map where the "vents" and "sewers" actually lead to a sub-map of tunnels.
For this map, geese who can access the vents/sewers should have special tasks down there.
There should also be 2 geese with this ability on the map.
Leads to some interesting interactions where a goose simply goes missing because they were murdered in the sub-map, or where the goose sees someone in the vents that may not belong down there.
Having 2 geese with access along with ducks means you aren't 100% sure if you see someone down there that they are definitely evil
@gleaming knoll Geese (and Ducks) murdered in the subsystem could end up as bodies that collect in a room where the sewage pours out, so that they can still be found and reported. There should be a 15 second period before they teleport to this room though, so that the Cannibal can still eat them if they exist
And there could be some tasks that take you into this subsystem that target the vents, that way anyone with those tasks can go there. It’d be like those new vent cleaning tasks in Among Us

Cruise ship that has snoop vents and mechanic vents (aka: some that connect and some that don't, like a pipe that connects to top deck or a life-raft) -- Sabotage that requires you to get to a life-raft or get off the top deck before timer hits - non stopable, anyone "outside" after timer gets killed - Politician/locksmith/snitch would change to like Captain/doctor/Quarantine Snitch??? -- Captain never goes to quarantine, Doctor self medicates to get out early, Quarantine Snitch or whatever forces their snitch vote to go into quarantine.. keys become vaccine shots or whatever --- Lights sabo could be a 2-parter like shuttle/teleporter you get it or Fog -- If it gets a enviro kill make it be like a life raft falls on someone from a higher balcony or a food poisoning or a rail breaks causing people on that balcony to fall off -- this balcony could allow for a self-enviro kill until next meeting, like kissing the shuttle you just walk off the rail-less side into the ocean. Could include new roles like Swan, this bird co-exists with geese and never dies by falling off the side or during a tsunami sabo - Tsunami sabo could be the "if you are outside after timer" death... New role: Sabotage duck that can walk up to any task and cause the next person at that task to always fail it until next meeting -- this could backfire on a duck causing them to not activate a shared task spot (you would have to tie some together somehow, like the candles and doors on MM)
Cruise ships were always sketchy to me before covid because of pirates, diseases easily spread, and overcrowding. Pigeon covers the covid.
Maybe a kill for that could even be like the titanic scene+murder
I think a WW1 Trench+No Man’s Land map would be fun, with foxholes for snooping like in Mallard Manor. Gas could be used for obfuscation sabotages in the trench half of the map, and there could be an “open fire” sabotage in the No Man’s Land, that you’d avoid using the Fox Holes. Incendiary Bombs would be used to set buildings on fire, or there could be a unique sabotage that has you run across the No Man’s Land to a trench on the other side of the map. Thoughts?

Absolutely in the future more atmospheric sounds will be added and we will continually improve the quality of the game as we develop.

I just want to say that I dislike sliding in most ice levels, so sliding in this game where aim is so important would be even more annoying.
i mean what if they made an intentonal slide - it'd make some paths one way like the transporter -- they'd just need a slide animation -- but yeah not as ability or sabotage
If there are specific places where there's sliding like down a hill, that'd be fine. I just don't want there to be a patch of ice where the ducks slide a bit when you stop pressing the button.
I think it would be a cool April fools (or not) thing to make one of the hexagon maps randomly sort the hexagons, so a room might be in the top corner one round and then the direct center the next

I'm thinking more this is a cut-and-paste and that just happens to be where the goose was when the screenshot was taken.
I don't think that makes much sense due to many of the birds being nearby each other. I doubt they would need to cut and paste their own map to share an image of it
we use them in the art team as size reference when making paths and props, so we can estimate the space needed to move around 🙂

It's far too soon for 'nostalgia'. I just do not agree with taking away old versions of things, especially in online games where you have no real control. Also in the end more options are better for everyone. SS Mother Goose I and SS Mother Goose II.
The old map design would be problematic to keep updated as we add new roles, new functions, new updates. That old map and black swan harbor code demons and structure demons I personally don't want to face any more. They will slow us down, cause other issues, and be problems in the future.
There are other reasons we upgrade/delete things from a development perspective too
So although I understand and can appreciate you want nostalgia/options - it comes at a heavy price and I just don't think it's worth it.

%map A map based on a neighborhood with one big loop as a road and several houses/buildings based on roles such as a house based on a sheriff or a mechanic. This would be a relatively large map with the preferred amount of players probably being around 10-16. Sabotages could include some heavy rain that acts as the lights/fog sabotage, obviously a doors sabotage, a sabotage where two cars on the map suddenly start up and loop the road once with anyone getting in the way ending up roadkill. The two cars would be big enough where they cover half of the road and both of them start and end on opposite sides of the map. The final sabotage could be one of the buildings catching on fire and the geese have to go extinguish it, but the time to ending the game would be longer due to how big the map is maybe at around 1 minute and 20 seconds to 1 minute and 30 seconds

I've been having the idea of an escape room themed map floating around my mind for a while.
I'm no designer, but maybe each quadrent of the map is a different theme of some sort, with a center "hub" where the button is as well as a locked exit.
The tasks could be more of a puzzle theme, like a 3 part task maybe being holding some paper against a mirror to reveal a code, which unlocks a key, which gets the geese one step closer to a task win and escaping.
Maybe not exactly that for tasks, but something of that theme.
Ooh I wonder if the Gaggle team could pull off an escape room theme

also quick note, the website i use to make the maps is called DungeonScrawl (first thing on google)
There should be a map that has constantly changing hallways to confuse both ducks and geese
Random or constantly changing elements make deduction extremely difficult if not impossible
not to mention i'm sure it's a programming nightmare
maybe make a map that has walls
or a map with no walls! which makes me think of a campground, Camp Quacking Lake, like Friday the 13th style murder spree
In addition to this, we could finally have a trapping duck which would work on a map like this, the caretaker would be a good name

Idea: An obstacle course map. Narrow passageways, a maze of decontamination chambers, teleporters, randomly dropping chandeliers (obv different visuals but all the map mechanics could be used). The lobby for it could be a little race track :3

Acually I did want to have a squid game mode. Mabye it could be on that map 🙂
I feel it would be nice to have a randomized map option for each game
This would only be possible on desktop and we would have to cut mobile players out. Loading and unloading all the texture memory after every game will make some phones cry for help.
Hahaha fair enough.
I had the idea for it to be randomized after every meeting but this issue explains why its not probable -- gotta think in mobile usage until tech advances enough
