The biggest issue with consoles is the extended time it takes for updates to get approved. If GGD were on consoles we might only get one update every few months, as PC and mobile users would be forced to wait for the console approval for every single update.

mimic was probably a brown-headed cowbird. They lay their eggs in other bird's nests, making the parents think they have an extra child, and they accept them as one of their own. Sadly though, the cowbird chick usually overpowers and competes with the other hatchlings and wins often, making the others starve. Kinda similar to how the possibility of mimic forces ducks to think first before murdering someone in front of their duck teammates, thereby denying the ducks the sustenance they need to win the game and stay alive

but in the mimic's case, ducks can often deduce that they are not duckly enough, and kill them before they catch them in the act of killing and report them

in real life birds, identity is largely based off scent. Birds may reject chicks that have an unfamiliar scent, like if a human touches them they may ignore them. So I personally think that the geese infiltrated the duck HQ with one of their own eggs, knowing it would hatch among ducks and be accepted since they hatched together. Then when the time is right, the goose betrays their duck brothers and the ducks are taken aback at the idea

One of our Korean users wants to know what is the authority of the Text moderator. He asked us in #lfg-한국어-korean why are you guys creating rules and telling others to do when you're not even an employee of GGD. We need your words. We need clarification on what we can deliver to them what we are allowed for and what can we do and so on.

Lately, this has been an issue, and some users are curious about the Text moderator. They are questioning us acting /behaving like an admin even tho we're not.

If everyone was able to get along, there would be no need for text moderators. Text moderators act as exactly as the title suggests, to moderate the channels. If players are not respecting each other you guys moderate and act accordingly

why is proximity chat only private games

Please add proximity chat to public games.

This is something we have considered, but have ultimately decided against. We have taken the stance that if you make a private game, you are responsible for moderating it. The host will have their own rules, and have the responsibility of kicking people who they feel are breaking the rules.
Public lobbies are different in that players don't necessarily know the people in the game they are joining into. Kids might enter a game and can be harassed by others in some corner of the map if proximity chat is on. If someone is being rude or toxic in a meeting, everyone can hear it and can block their mics and block them.

So why don't we just separate servers into kids and 18+? Because a 12 year old can check off a box that says they are 18, and we'd rather prevent the potential abuse and toxicity.

If you want proximity chat, make a private game. If you need players, find a private game in the #lfg channels or make your own.

I've moderated enough communities to know that people aren't always going to be happy with your decisions, but you make them for a reason. And that reason is to keep the community a fun place to be in. And we have a great set of moderators around here, that's for sure.
