A lot fo streamers/content creators are afraid to change games because they only look at current viewer average. They don't really understand that switching up to new content with an active player base can increase viewership/followers.

A lot of people are all still trying to be the next Disguised Toast or Pokimane by streaming Among Us. It's beyond me. The game has had a shrinking playerbase ever since September/October 2020 and most of them stream Among Us 3-5 days a week with the same or less number of viewers.

We actively monitor social deception streamers (over the last year) and we're seeing those who stream a lot of Among Us consistently have shrinking communities and user engagement is dropping in line with the player base of AU.

We've reached out to them but we're met with the same excuse. "But my viewers will shrink" or "You're a copy-cat, I'll never support the game". They will continue to ask their friends to take our roles and put it in their AU mods, and play Among Us. This is not the types of content creators we want as partners.

If they are on stream obviously not enjoying their gaming experience, and the chat is just talking amongst themselves it's not really what we're after as a game or a community.

How are roles decided?
Because when a friend had a lobby both hitman and lovers was ❔ but they got selected over one of the 2 ✅ ducks, we got lovers instead of Ninja or Undertaker that was ✅? So we turned lovers and hitman off and then we got both checkmarked ducks. Can a ❔ be selected over ✅ if its hitman and/or lovers?
Also in some games the Game Information is different for players, it says roles are off that are on? How can this happen? 🤔

How come you can only use proximity chat in private rooms?

Please add proximity chat to public games.

This is something we have considered, but have ultimately decided against. We have taken the stance that if you make a private game, you are responsible for moderating it. The host will have their own rules, and have the responsibility of kicking people who they feel are breaking the rules.
Public lobbies are different in that players don't necessarily know the people in the game they are joining into. Kids might enter a game and can be harassed by others in some corner of the map if proximity chat is on. If someone is being rude or toxic in a meeting, everyone can hear it and can block their mics and block them.

So why don't we just separate servers into kids and 18+? Because a 12 year old can check off a box that says they are 18, and we'd rather prevent the potential abuse and toxicity.

If you want proximity chat, make a private game. If you need players, find a private game in the #lfg channels or make your own.

If you've tested it and are fairly sure that its doing as you say then that's a bug, I can confirm Mechanic is supposed to have goose vision (it's a goose role after all). Please fill out a bug report and explain the steps you took to replicate it and confirm your suspicions

client timeout normally means you have literally timed out due to being idle or in some cases depending on the website/application or game means you have auto signed out due to inactivity (at least in my case it is) i normally fix this we an application reload (close ggd and re open it) but yeah some one with more experience might have better advice so a ticket might help you

For more resources, make sure you do your tasks, have fake tasks turned on so you can do tasks as Ducks or Neutrals, and have the maximum number of tasks (8) set

and not to forget ducks and neutrals can have cool items and that is why fake tasks are great

In explore mode, just go to a task and click/tap on the yellow highlight or press your action key (default is E) to open the task

Note, you won't earn any crafting materials in Explore mode

Also, you can check the Steam community for some fan-made guides on crafting, including which tasks have a chance to give you which components

The only real way is to be killed by someone who has that stinger equipped. You might be able to find a Youtube video with them possibly. Death stingers only show to people you kill though, so you wouldn't be seeing it anyway.

Locksmith Goose are not used. When the door closes, why don't you open only one door in the closed area once per round?

one of the problems I see, with all the suggestions for reworks of roles is this. Not every role is going to have some kind of super fun feature to it. Not every role needs some super fun feature to it. Sometimes a goose is just a goose, sometimes a goose doesn't have a lot extra to do other than tasks, and that's okay. Not everyone can have a role they love 100% of the time

Ultimately, you can play a role however you want. If you want to use the role of Falcon as a second sheriff that doesn't have the obligation of completing tasks or the consequence of dying for killing a goose, that's up to you. But a falcon is still a falcon and can still win on its own. I tend to use the pigeon as a second mechanic/snoop without the obligation of task completion so I see where you're coming from. I also use the role of vulture as a sort of spy on the ducks for the geese and I've been called "scummy" for it but hey, they'd kill me as vulture the first chance they'd get so if they arent sneaky enough to kill and make it look like an accident, that's on them.
