we have been playing with new detective in beta for weeks now, grouping hasant changed because of it. Your suggested strat wouldnt work for a million different reasons, including but not limited: easy for duck to fake claim detective and get 2 free kills (sheriff missfire), easy for sheriff to not even be legit, easy targets for double kills, assasin duck, etc

If there are any wrestling fans here, GGD is like AEW and AU is like WWE. Both big dogs were overconfident due to a lack of real impactful competition. Then a plucky new challenger enters and takes the big dog by surprise, having to scramble to stay relevant. The fresh competition puts out consistent quality content and even hires on former members of the big dog's community.

We only get defensive when blanket statements hold us to a higher standard than AU for unfair reasons. We're an independent studio that gets a ton of hate for being in the same genre as Among Us. We are free to play, offer more features and continually support and update the game with 1/100th of the budget. AU wasn't the first in their genre, Unfortunate Spaceman was and it was also a copy of Mafia. I get defensive when we get bad reviews because we are "not among us" and when people give us slack for not giving away all cosmetics for free. Meanwhile the other game decides to blatantly tell you they want more of your money in their update video.

I'm not complaining about it being unfair, I am simply stating that I don't mind comparisons as long as they are fair and well thought out. We made this game because we loved AU. We just wanted the experience to be different and valued different aspects of it. That's why we added and changed things. :)

To say it's not fair to get upset with the the AU team is fine for only having 3 people. Nothing wrong with that, but think back to September of 2020 and Gaggle was 4 people with zero dollars :) The things we could do with 5% of their budget would blow your minds. Just gotta get that 5%.

That's why I said it has nothing to do with number of people, and everything to do with passion for the games and dedication.

The main reason you would want to turn it off is to disable the air lock by geese or the steamy shower where it makes kills easier for the ducks as it obstructs vision or readies the air lock without a sabotage

The Detective rework has upsides and downsides. The old Detective was very strong late-game, but you had to both hold your ability until it could be useful, and actually survive long enough to use it strategically. The new Detective is (in my opinion) more fun as it can be used every round, but it may be more dependent on using it skillfully to get good information.

Disconnecting generally means your internet is either not stable enough or not fast enough, the fact it happens only when you get non-goose roles is pure coincidence

Bridge staring into showers, medical staring into electrical, agricultural staring into (the not so great kill spot) cryo, the opposite side of the cameras panel to catch a duck doing the sabo, either side of the hallway where shuttle sabo is, behind the boxes in loading bay, etc

Remember, you don't have to actually see the kill as birdwatcher. Merely hiding where you cannot be seen and observing who is where and when and where they came from is usually more than enough to work out who a duck is

Particularly keep an eye on locked areas where there is a vent and observe who is in the area and if they actually could get there / come from there without venting, even if you cannot see the actual vent
