Welcome to the flock! No, there is no way to do this. It's a protection method to prevent harassment. Public lobbies have all the tools in them to report players, while private games are under the assumption that you know everyone you gave the code to, and allow them to monitor the games as they see fit. Allowing the rooms to change between the two freely would cause a lot of issues.
