It's a standard 8 goose units, its fixed so this isn't affected by visbility range.
It currently is restricted. If you cant draw a line to the player you cant see/hear them.
So if lights are turned out you can hear people "around" you.
but if they walk behind a pillar you can't hear them. We may change this in the future.

This is a windows setting; we use similar protocols to discord/web which means it will fight with your mic. We haven't had much success yes with mic sharing but its best to make sure the mic you're using is allowed to be accessed by multiple applications at the same time.

Hmm to be honest, I am not the resident mac expert, they will be up in a few hours though to help out. As far as I know Mac may be a bit more difficult to have the mic accessed by both.

Bodyguard wins with the goose side, however since your protection target survived to the end you will have recieved bonus coins (bounty) at the end of the game.

Are you using Discord while playing GGD?
Mac has a feature that turns down volume when it thinks you're using your mic. The no-mic mode still has you connected to the voice call that runs in GGD proximity and game chat. Unfortunately you would have to reference Apple forums to figure out if this is even possible at their OS level. 😦 I have yet to find a good way.
Unless someone here knows how to modify the system settings for that?

I had the problem with my mic volume changing, not sure if it was directly related to this game, or another program. I just installed a script that refreshed my mic volume to what I set it at, every 1 second.
