Steam does require us to moderate our game (free to play multiplayer). We have crossplatform unlockables unlike other games where if you bought a pet for steam you would need to rebuy it for mobile. You dont have to do that with us. :)

This all requires a secondary account. We know people dont want to give information so we made google auth an option so you can protect your identity. Why did we do this? Why would we release a free game with a ton of content and free voice chat? We just want people to be able to play with their friends. No players left behind :)

My Among Us group played Goose Goose Duck last night and we generally liked it more than Among Us.

The maps are less interesting due to just being a bunch of hex rooms, but we like the tasks and roles and in game voice chat stuff

My reaction when I get the role is, “Guess I am not winning this game then.”

It works pretty well in smaller lobbies though since bodies take longer to be reported.

I would suggest a means to modify the vulture win condition.

That said I don’t like roles that are very rarely useful, but when they actually work they win the game.

And in that sense I don’t really like medium either

I like it when multiple roles interact with each other

The goose killing roles are great. They are a double edged sword.

They can greatly benefit or hurt their team, and ducks can try to roleclaim it if they are caught

So lots of potential interaction

The venting role is also neat. They can vent to finish tasks quickly, or try to spy on a killing, or just hide.

But they can also be sussed if seen venting which makes for easy framing by the ducks

My group really liked the Canadian role. It keeps self reporting as a potential thing in the game even for groups that never self report. And the Canadian can make some potential funny plays that may or may not work.

When I was Canadian

I didn’t call him out on it though because I wanted to stay hidden to catch the ducks by surprise, and I didn’t suspect him despite his false claim

He ended up being the mechanic.

My group found that the best way to play Canadian is to tell a couple people that you are Canadian and no one else.

Although after we discovered this, the Canadian started to win basically every game and we had to change it so that it only is sometimes in the game

The favorite thing that happened in my session was when the Duck asked why there is a money bag over my friend’s head. Everyone else started to crack up laughing. Pets & Hats need gold to buy but shirts need silver and a lot of it. Are the only ways to buy silver the $5 standard pack or the $20 founder's pack? Or is there a way to convert gold to silver?

Seems like $20 can get you enough gold for several of the most expensive hats & pets but $20 can't buy enough silver for a single top tier shirt.

This is an accurate assessment. Silver is earned by playing and part of the packs you can buy online. As for gold -> silver converting, this will likely not happen. We want to put some cosmetics behind a paywall. Being 100% transparent, it is the only way we would be able to afford to make the entire game free and pay for voice chat hosting 🙂

Yes, there are times when the groups are split up - for game/puzzle reasons. but there are ways of communicating with the others within the game when you split up. sometimes via voice, sometimes via knocks, sometimes via visual clues.

There are a lot of similarities. AU was clearly an inspiration of the game, but this game improves upon that game, in literally every single capacity. Try playing in private lobbies with streamers, and you'll see that proximity chat is a real game changer!

Oh they may want to make it sweaty, but even when hardcore AU players play we see them let down their guard a bit and just have fun. After all our game is designed first and foremost to be fun and accommodating to all players of all skill types.
