Haven't had much of a chance to play ggd today. Recently my folks brought home an N64 and some games, so I've been testing it to see if it worked.

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as Herbert always says, today we are one day closer than yesterday.

It probably has to do with the meanings of each word. Initiate may have fit better by the explanation and what the initiate does. The initiate has that ability to preform a ritual. Unfortunately, we cannot control when bad actors enter a public game, but we do empower you by providing tools to help moderate these games. Conversations that go on in public games are still private, and we do not have access to the audio in any way. You can block or mute the relevant players in-game and use the in-game censoring filter. You can report the offending player as well, and these reports will be attached to their account, and may result in bans. If you are the lobby host, you can kick the offending players, and if you are not the host you can ask the host to kick them. Players who are kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. The new map bloodhaven has a lot of new and somewhat complex mechanics. The falcon disappeared under suspicious circumstances from a large number of maps, being replaced by the pelican.

And depending on how long your break was, there is also engineer replacing mechanic, snoop, and technician. As well as arcade tokens replacing crafting materials.

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as Herbert always says, today we are one day closer than yesterday.

Need to do a number of tasks that isn't too small and isn't too large. Can't have the dueling dodos being able to kill in the first 10 seconds of a game

I feel like it depends on the map. 3 tasks is fine on most maps, but not bloodhaven when there’s no multi step tasks and that they all take like 10 seconds tops.

It’s the worst when you are in a duel but need to wait 60 seconds for your egg to incubate while the other dodo is already done and trying to kill you.

Bloodhaven also runs the risk of being corrupted or killed or eaten. And imagine you get the well task and sort potions, and then mess up on those ones. Dueling dodos on BH is a safety hazard at that point. I’ve been in several games where the dueling dodo gets their kill on second round and gets called out on it for it being too quick with how the cooldowns are.

Which is why I usually prefer the diplomatic dodo over the deadly dodo

Not everyone plays the same. And I think that’s probably for the best. I think BH definitely requires a little bit of finesse to pull off a dueling dodo for sure.
