Even simple recipes take so long compared to hunting, mining, or bug collecting - not to mention the difficulty in procuring ingredients, unless cooking gets way more profitable later. And mining allows for really simple overflow forcing where you fill your inventory with just stone so everything else gets sent to storage and it lets you mine for hours without trouble. However it does push your storage a good few thousand over which is a problem of its own

They do. Ashura does something funny like that too. The reason it happens is because they character has a set path they follow throughout the day. If someone talks to them it messes up the animation length. So in your clip, Zeki is supposed to be in the Underground, which is why he is standing but the character themselves need to catch up. Which is why he is gliding

I'm currently doing the exact same thing as you did lmao, i use duolingo and i don't really learn the alphabet, i recognize the words so i have to dig in this alphabet slot, i've been lazy on it until now. I don't know about Pimsluer, what is it ?

It is a hands free app, it does cost money but if you are really looking to learn it is useful. It lets you listen to a short conversation, which sounds intimitating the first time you heard it but through the next 30 or so minute session it teaches you have to say the words and how to respond in the conversation. It does have written exercises but I never used those because I used the app while at word because I needed a handsfree app. I have heard that it is really good for Russian because it helps grasp the accent and fluency of the language. It is quite useful but I wish I did at least a couple of the written tasks to inform you more

I know you could possibly get it for free from a local library if they have the discs because you can download the discs or something. My library didnt have them so again I cant inform too much on that

Oh that does look good yeah, that makes sense, to get the grip of the conversations and the accents, russian does have some similarities with english for some words and you can phonetically recognize them, maybe it is easier to learn orally first and then write it ? i'll check on that later

I do think learning how to speak is good but I, personally, need to see the word because when I was using Pimsluer for Spanish I would think they are saying one thing but then I find out I was saying a letting in it wrong when I see the word for the first time, which is why Duolingo is good but Pimsluer has better accent building

Nitpick: many European languages are close, but by no means all. You've got your Romance languages (as in the former Roman Empire, hence derived from Latin - including Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian); your Germanic languages (such as English, German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish); and your Slavic languages (Russian and lots of Eastern Europe), which are all loosely related. Then you've got Finnish, which is completely different from those, and Basque, which is unrelated to any other known language. Plus lots more I didn't mention, of course.

So yeah, if you speak English and want an easy time, you probably want to stick to either Romance or Germanic languages (English being a Germanic language with heavy French influence and then lots of borrowings directly from Latin since.)

Or in my case: follow someone else into the Everwood to get some Palium, randomly ||grab frogs as you go|| out of habit, get the note, then follow directions. I haven't done any treasure quests, nor do I know who Prismbeard is, but the statue is pretty neat. (You might need the quest where ||Auni runs off on an adventure|| to open the location, though.)
