Jina liked mushrooms and coral, hodori likes steak ore antlers najuma likes napweed which caleri says is good for making tea, maybe it has some medicinal properties, everybody seems to like one thing or another pickled or jam and jammed items sell for more than the fruit (except for pickled peppers which for some reason decrease in value when pickled.

Before 3 am hits, go to Pulsewater, with Honey Lures in tow, then good luck! Got 1 Starred, and 2 normal on my first go!

It was fun, but for the conclusion of the prologue quest, nothing was concluded, nor did it leave us with a sense of leaving the starting area, it felt more like a part 1 of 2 or 3 of the prologue conclusion.

If anything, it felt like they just ran out of ideas, and didn't know what to do. Even trying to enjoy it via running to place to place didn't feel fun. Maybe if they did some replay-able cutscenes at least new spot of the Temples, and maybe one at the light house, in the trailer. As you said, in a way, it felt less meaty, an more just "HeY! GeT yOuRsElF nEw PlUsHiEs!!" I get some are into that, and that's fine. Maybe learning more from the past, and less on mediocre add-ons, might be better, for further instalments. I want my Meat Please!

Hey, all! I decided to put this together for those of us who are unfortunately stuck in one place during this crazy time. Here are some things you can do to pass time, if you wanna keep playing just to play:

Housing plot:

• fish in your pond for plushies
• fish in your pond for fish to sell for gold
• convert any resources (planks, bars, leather/fabric/silk, seeds, worms, preserves) that are just taking up space in your storage
• redecorate! don’t be afraid to get experimental with it!
• cook! if you can travel to a friend’s plot, cook with them!
  Bahari
• hunt muujin, sernuuk, and chapaa
• see if there are any weekly skill achievements you can knock out
• chop trees so there are more in the grove come midnight!
• go rare resource hunting
• look around for chests and discovery quest opportunities
• look for the daily shipwreck pile
• hunt for any plushies you might not have (bugs and animals)
  Kilima
• similar stuff to Bahari, just lots of resource farming and especially here, bc you can sell stuff at zeki’s general store
• up any friendship levels you’ve been neglecting
• shop around! maybe Tish has some fun furniture pieces, or maybe you’ve been meaning to purchase some writs or plot materials from city hall
• look for the daily chapaa pile

I think it’s great, the world is gorgeous and the story is interesting so far. The map is huge so there’s a lot to explore. You can forage, catch bugs, and groom animals for materials which you can use to craft clothing, and there are style battles where you have to put together winning outfits for particular themes. There’s some platforming and light combat too, I’ve been really impressed by how much there is to do in the game and how polished it is.

It is a gacha game and during this launch period they’ve been really generous with handing out items for free pulls but I’m sure later there will be more pressure to spend. But the pulls are only for outfits and I don’t think they’re required to finish the game, you can already find a lot of outfits just through playing normally.

i feel like streaming may be a fairly niche scenario, but from a technological standpoint 25 people on one server (25 simultaneous syncs, live updates to prevent rubberbanding, instancing of resource nodes, etc) is pretty good and theres a reason they dont up that. could be a subscription service maybe where people who want to host larger servers can pay for one and invite people to it, because beefier servers do get expensive very fast. (from my own experience with minecraft, palia would be similar from a technical standpoint)

its basically you can have a certain number of interactions per second before things start to lag and break down, so you can either have 30 players interacting with 100 things, or 100 players interacting with 30 things. thats a very basic explanation but im not going to get into packets and latency and allat. also, palia has global servers which adds another spanner into the works, unlike a lot of MMO games that have "north america" or "asia" servers etc which allow a lot more leeway since most players will have similar lag ranges

We would love a system like final fantasy 14 where you have about 100 colours to pick from. it even has a 2-dye-channel system for most items now which is even better. if you havent seen it, devs, if you're reading this, you should really explore it as an option for palia. it could and would open up so much opportunity for so many people.
