Right now the pre-alpha selection is still underway and no actual testing has started. Devs are hoping to send more invites in the coming weeks, but we don't know exactly when or how many. I assume after pre-alpha there'll be alpha and then beta tests before a final launch.

S6 is hoping to get Palia out completely within 3 years or less.

The game is still in its infancy and publishing a game without any sort of alpha/beta stages would show that the game is unpolished, underdeveloped, and just didn't have a lot of work put into it.

I think the distinction being made here is that early access usually means you keep whatever progress you make whereas with pre-alpha and beta phases, you go in and help a company refine their game before everything gets wiped. One has a specific focus on testing, the other is testing as well as prestige, often at a cash price.

It's from the unofficial FAQ but in regard to stamina "You won't be stopped cutting down trees by stamina or similar no. We had it, hated it, its gone from the game." I'm not entirely sure what that means, but no idea if anyone might have brought it up earlier. I don't actually know aside from speculating myself on the QA.

I'm typically opposed to really flashy colorful mounts that make no sense within the game's art style or narrative, lots of games these days introduce super colorful, glowy mounts and it breaks the immersion for me

It would be interesting if you could breed cosmetically using No Man Sky type logic. So a horse is white with brown spots. Have it so it rng's the size of the spots, brown transparency etc.
