Yesterday was the first time I really interacted with the community and I began to worry about the atmosphere of the multiplayer part of the game because of it

WoW, FF14, SWTOR, ESO, LoL, Dota, CSGO, CoD, Fortnite you name it... odds are Palia will have those idiots too but all you can hope for is you meet as few as possible or the community team does their best to get rid of it

Honestly mechanical (mounts) like automatons or golems sounds amazing to me. I know magic won’t be a thing but they can do something like a small scale version of an automaton from FrostPunk. The theory behind it is sound and the British almost had a working steam powered computer anyways

Oh god, lemme guess. So when you either take off your glasses after a while, or put them on after a while, you suddenly feel completely drunk double vision as your eyes have to adjust asymetrically?

It's a little like that haha! Mostly it just makes binocular tasks (like spacial awareness) really difficult when im not wearing my glasses. I have so many bruises from bumping into things bc I can't correctly perceive my surroundings

Also it can make my eyes sore if I don't wear my glasses since eyes work together to see things and one is working a bit overtime

I just hope that I can get lots of cute glasses options for my palia character so that she doesn't suffer the same fate haha

I too am a fishaholic and will likely spend a fair amount of time doing that. my craziest fishing session was close to 2ish days in draenor. I really really really wanted the water strider. It’s been a long time for most games, but IIRC, Rift had a nice system.

I assume there will be fishing nodes or pools we will want to fish. I think having a cast area will be nice. Perhaps having the landing zone for the “hook” to land in will be ideal.

I’d like to see it be like this:

1. select skill and fishing area pops up on mouse
2. fishing area increases and decreases in size at a determined pace while you’re hovering it over the water/node/pool. Higher fishing skill should decrease potential cast area or slow down the speed that the cast area changes.
3. when you’re comfortable with the potential area the hook would land, click again and you cast
4. reel in is interactive

Pond fishing with bait on a hook would be simple and get simple fish like bass, trout, carp, perch, etc. Pit a sinker on and you might see more bottom feeders like catfish. That’s the most simple example I can use to start
