it's my biggest gripe with a lot of games that have housing. There's always options to upgrade. And more features unlock when you upgrade. And sometimes I get excited and want all the things. But when my house is TOO big I feel overwhelmed. And wish i could have a smaller home again.

yeah on THIS note i don't like when like more storage for example is tied to how big your house is - it makes SENSE bigger house more storage but it shouldn't be the only way to increase your storage either - like sometimes people wanna only ever be camping

That too. But an example is ACNH. You cant fully customize your house or even have max storage without upgrading. Now i have so many rooms undecorated because idk what to do with them, I wish i could have a smaller home and all the feratures

honestly it's a rare thing, that is the first time I personally witnessed someone outright doing such speach intentionally. The community here is very welcoming and pleasant most of the time. The occasional troll or misunderstanding does occur but not nearly as much as I have seen in other places. I hope the first impression doesn't make you feel unsafe or Unwelcomed.

I like the suggestions that every individual house will be instanced. It seems disappointing at first that we might not have clusters of houses, but from a technical standpoint it probably would let our houses be much more impressive and richly decorated when one instance doesn't have to share houses

I might need a house if you need to it make an indoor Furnace/wheat grinder.... but then it'll be a workshop.. and i'd still sleep in the tent.. really depends on the practicalities of building it all but if it's all for looks/glam.. i can live without and shove a bed in a tent and say "This is my home.."

The only way I could see it working is if there was a limited number of shops in a "district" and you had to be lucky to get one. but they dont want anyone to feel left out. so i dont know if that system would work for this game

There could be an instanced Bazaar area, I've seen it in some older Korean games. That would let people set up shops. I always loved that setup even if it was a bit hard to browse peoples wares.

It doesn’t have to be a shop .. for example I might sell my farm produce. Maybe I’ll be able to set up a stall by the roadside outside my farm or maybe there will be the Palia equivalent of a central auction house. Will we be able to set up trades and then log out and come back with a Bunch of money/credits etc available to me or will it be only when online. What and how they implement trading would likely affect how people will deal with it. You can have tons of stores but they won’t necessarily sell the same stuff due to the potential for specialisation (I think they mentioned something along these lines)
