Mostly, the stream was an examination of characters and the root of the game's name, Palia. The name was designed to evoke feelings of comfort and the game itself is supposed to feel open and mystical like the worlds created by Studio Ghibli.

They mentioned skill masters (As Rin said) for mentoring you in the learning of things like cooking, fishing, decoration, etc. They also introduced Eshe, a socialite elder in government who owns an expansive manor and is the wife of the mayor. She was said to like the finer things in life, and it was hinted she might be an NPC you can approach regarding high-end items (decorations, I'd guess).

They also gave a bit more information regarding romance, and how if there is a character type not currently available that the fans wish to see, they may consider expanding the cast to make sure that demographic is satified.

the biggest part of alpha/beta testing is providing feedback, if you just play to play and dont provide any feedback then its worthless to the devs, they need to see some sort of feedback

there are a few exceptions to this, like server load handling and whatnot, but majority of the time its to find bugs, find issues, pain points, etc.

considering they added a "none" option to put in your discord tag, i dont think itll be restricted to those in the discord only

A thought for you and S6 on this. Realistically if the elves came about after humans vanished. They wouldn't have an overt name for themselves as a whole. That name would simply be the elven word for 'people' just as 'human' is our word for our own species.

If they have a proper noun name, it's more likely a subset of the larger species than the species as a whole.

Even so most languages don't give special proper nouns to themselves. Even the word Hu Man means 'thinking men' if you trace it back to it's root. It's just another way of saying 'people'

We'll be able to form personal friendships and/or romance with NPCs. There isn't a comprehensive list of who is eligible, but it has been said that gender won't factor into that. In today's stream, there was also mention that if the community would like a romance option that isn't in the game, the cast may expand to ensure that highly-requested options appear in some form.

My guess is that even if 84,000 people are dating Tamala, for instance, it will only change the dialogue those 84,000 people get, and remain unaffected for those who are simply friends with her.
