I know a few Indie Devs who're doing their Stream on Discord as it is much easier to set up and more spontaneous then Twitch / YouTube. And since everyone is already here anyways, you won't have to redirect your audience to yet another platform they might not be able to watch or simply don't want to watch. So i don't think it's a bad idea. 🙂

Discord is very limited on the amount of people that can be in a thing. It’s super easy to set up a twitch or YouTube stream and they allow 100s of thousands of people to join a stream

Well, if you Stream on Twitch, you need to set up something like OBS too, adjust Sound Settings and Sources. If you got more then one person in the Stream you need to adjust even more. And OBS and Twitch have this tendency to just blow up for no reasons and it usually takes a while to figure out everything until it runs completely smooth from the get go. If you've no experience with Streaming on Twitch at all that is.

It is not the best idea. Discord doesn’t allow that man people in a voice chat so it’s better to use twitch or YouTube for streaming. They are literally dedicated services for that

Sure. But in all honesty: They didn't expect this amount of Hype for their Game and I'll give them all the time they need to set up whatever they want to set up and until then i go along with whatever they're willing to share. If i can't participate in a Stream because of Discord Limitations so be it. I'll just stay put and patient and wait for whatever comes next. If they still haven't figured stuff out in like a year or so, i can still start to complain that i feel it's high time to up their Game. But until then I've all the faith in the world that they know what they're doing and will work on satisfying solutions as fast as possible.

It's not your imagination. MMOs have, in general, become less social. The biggest reason for that is that most MMOs nowadays, and we've mainly WoW to thank for that, are catered to the Casual Solo Player. Leveling can be done solo, Crafting and Gathering have always been solo activities, for your weeklys you got automatic Group Finders who even work for Raids by now. There's no real need for communication in MMOs anymore so the only place where people still socialise is within their Guild or if they do RP. Normal socialising has become a rare sight, depending on the MMO(RPG).

all sorts of ways to test, good testing can be done via normal game play. But a tester can better find complications while doing normal gameplay and give better feedback. A normal players feedback usually is just in terms of. "This sucks fix it" Which really isn't useful at all.

Yeah, I read an interview on the way she created them, which was basically finding a language with the sounds she wanted (if you listen closely, you can hear the language each song is based off is different each time) and listening to them until she understood how they sounded
