Disagree. Again, that's what Square-Enix did. FFXIV 1.0 was trying to be another FFXI, and Yoshida came in and said "you should be playing and emulating WoW more." Blizzard has messed a lot up, but they had a winning base formula.

Luckily it's not real. It's a message from the original Guild Wars which would tell you if you'd been playing for a long time to try and encourage you to take breaks for health reasons. I run a Guild Wars 2 (and 1) comedy blog, so I'm often editing game messages and graphics for improved memery. Once Palia's out, I'll most likely do the same there too.

For non-MMO - Final Fantasy VIII is really high on the list. That was one of my first games with turn-based battles and the cut scenes were crazy in a video game at the time and I just loved all the characters

at the moment, FF14 has more respect from me than wow, but in terms of time i've played wow for 13 years and FF14 for like a month

I would have to go with WOW as well, played it for about a year during Cata and was enraptured with the game. Even though I didn't continue playing it long term, I had a ton of fun while playing it

However, I truly think Palia WILL be my new favorite (see @uncut bear I broke my own rules) 😛
