Have you ever HEARD of the Harvest Moon series?
Like wild-life
Chapaa.
I consider crafting a form of quest. You collect X materials, then you get a reward.
@undone tartan Nope.. probably a good reason for that xD
Played itand loved it, but would never pay month to month to play it.
Chuu.
well, according to them they're gonna have both. Though "traditional combat" seems to be set at a later stage in the development
@rose mulch then tell me why a Tale in the Desert has been online since 2003 ? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Thats what I mean. Even if its just farming, fishing etc. A quest to produce X amount of carrots for example would be nice.
Chapaaa~
How about daily quest???
So would Star Wars Galaxies, where you could just be a merchant for the rest of your days if you wanted
I guess hunting could be seen as a form of combat if you think about it. If you encounter a wild animal that's hostile, you're forced to go into combat with it. Though, you could also see it as a hunt for its skin or meat, or something. I am not entirely sure how it would play out but I'd love to see what they do with it.
Heeeey
Or that, which can lead to a reward in your home etc etc
It's a matter of economics.
this too ๐
and people were happily living their lives.... until... Jedi happened
Hullo ๐
๐
Simple quests like planting carrots would be good.
yeah, kinda. But they specifically separated hunting and traditional combat, so these two things will be different
Everything changed when the fire nation jedi attacked
@celest maple This is not the typical mmorpg, this is more like animal crossing, stardew valley, sims and such.
Chapaa~
Stardew valley, animal crossing, and sims had "quests" xD
Has there been a more exact approximation for the pre alpha except soonโข, is it weeks, months etc.?
They also had death. Just saying.
^
At least, The Sims
Palia doesn't
I'm sure there will be some sort of daily/weekly activities. Almost every live-service game has that, for good reason. You want your players to have a reason to log in
Never said this one doesn't have quests
I think removing the "kill 5 boars" quests and general mob farming, boss killing mechanics from a game would be a good thing. This game has potential to be good without a combat system. I'd like to see where they go with crafting, farming, building, fishing (etc.) and community interaction before any fighting mechanics are implemented.
I just hope it's not forcing you to log in every day
Then what was your comment about? I knew what this games inspirations were xD
AC and SDV had "passing out" ๐
Yeah, same. That's the biggest drawback of Animal Crossing, imo.
I am willing to see what they can do to keep us engaged.
I hope that there's community activities. Like in Animal Crossing, you can set up community work projects that require money to complete. Other players can contribute to them. That might make an awesome MMO thing.
There is hunting, but explicitly no combat system.
Every game (of this genre) on the face of the planet has the same type of combat and general PvE interactions. It'd be nice to see something that changes the way of this sub genre.
Didn't know AC had that
I don't need combat, but I do need a challenge.
Which I'm very happy about
Agreed
Still not getting why you said that champ
Chapaa
oh actually, I guess AC was working on real time wasn't it? Heard about some people gaming the system by setting their console date forward to skip some stuff? Never played it myself though
@rose mulch that depend on players because it is advertised as community simulation MMO as such what A Tale in the Desert is ๐
that google doc is amazing
AC was working on system time.
It was, yes. And if you don't log in frequently enough, your character will get roaches in their house and, in earlier games, bad hairdos.
So people could time travel.
I'm eager to see where they go with this. Something along the lines of an obstacle course, in-depth fishing/crafting mechanics, and complex riddles or puzzles would be cool.
You asked if the game had pvp, trying to help you understand the kind of game it is
They update it daily too
My question was answered.
Thumb wrestling
.
well thats dang awesome
There should be a snow biome with snowball fights lmao
^thats PVP
ah I see, yeah that makes sense then. I wouldn't enjoy that for a single player game. I enjoy being able to just not play it for half a year and continue where I left of without repercussions like in Stardew Valley
Any competition between players could be considered PvP
that sounds epic
A Tale In the Desert works because of varying economies, and is not really considered one of the big MMOs
Right??
Well thats legit what PVP means xD
Did they ever mention if the seasons change? The non-MMO games of this nature usually try for season changes.
I'm hoping they implement some sort of pvp, like duels or an arena
Well, they mentioned having competitions instead of fight-to-the-death kinda PvP
summer water fight events
Competitions are PVP
yes, that's what I'm saying
@rose mulch but it still has ran official server for 18 years non stop ๐
I just hope we get to be a robot/construct that's all
I want pillow fights ๐
basically having competitions as a substitute to "traditional" MMO PvP
Exactly! And on top of that, Animal Crossing also runs out of stuff for you to even do each day. There's a limited number of fossils to dig up, the stores sell different items each day, and bugs mostly stop appearing at night. All that's really there for you at all times is fishing, which isn't that engaging in AC.
Yes pillow fight would be awesome
I think they more specifically meant player combat, dueling, and violent/death mechanics. Player competitions won't be excluded from the game, I don't think.
@haughty coyote EQ has had servers since 1998 or so> UO since before then. MUDs since before the WWW existed...
yeah, I heard the endgame is a real problem for AC
I believe they specifically said no dueling will be implemented, but hope remains for other player competitions ๐
Water baloon fight
It's a lot worse in the latest one; earlier games had super expensive goals you could go for, stuff like golden furniture, mansion houses, etc. They took most of those out in New Horizons.
Snowball fights ๐
Friendly compaction was what they said, right?
I'm cool with no players killing each other. I do want to have a challenge though.
For PvP, to quote the actual people behind this game:
- Its possible we introduce PvP in small ways in the future. Currently its not.
- Competitive activities is higher priority than 'pvp'
- If PvP means competitive gameplay then we'll have some
- if PVP means duels in the middle of town, nah
That and AC:NH didn't start off with all of the furniture sets that previous versions had, if I recall.
I'm maintaining my campaign for winter projectile warfare
I'll take whatever they give us lol
that sounds like fun
I want to be able to burn my mates house down
PvP = Player vs Player. It dose not say that it have to be combat...
ouch, and even on the one AC that basically broke all the records
you can do that in minecraft
true true but ATID is proof that non-pvp/combat mmo can exist ๐
Coll this is Palia tho?
If I make more money than the next person, that's PvP too.
yeah, I don't know about that one mate lol
Stop trying to redefine PvP.
^
It means players fighting other player.
Bruh, Gimme some good fishing and am sold
oop
I just realized even if I get a pre alpha key I can't play because I'm 13 and you need to be 18 to sign an NDA
In snowball fights
yep
New Horizons focused a lot on the midgame; the early game has very little for you to do other than gathering and crafting, and the endgame also has very little for you to do. But the midgame is when you unlock the shops, museum, and terraforming.
If you want to say competitive, that's fine.
What a bully ๐ฅบ
Just silly. Not a bully
im no bully ๐ฅด
same, fishing + farming + cooking = me sold
There won't be any pvp in this game, at least not for a few months after launch
There will be competitions
yeah, from what I heard people basically tried to reach terraforming as fast as possible to properly build their island
Brewing as well ^^
bunch of people fishing together, then when someone levels up EVERYONE says "nice"
Mmhm, mmhm, whatever you say ๐
I'm in then.
So if a racing game have PvP, you always expect it to be with guns and missiles and what not?
Teasing of course, sorry. ๐
making coffee or hot chocolate
Listen. PVP is Player Versus Player. That is anything where 1 person is against another. I.E, Competitions, Duels, Fights, etc.
Can't have a village without the alcohol
๐ ๐ ๐
YES
this ain't a racing game mate
even T e a
I'm not sure of the game's rating thus far, but I'm assuming their won't be any alcohol, so coffee/tea/potions would be cool
yeah competition is part of pvp sadly
It was an example
So, in a racing game, you never "nudged" another car?
excited for an mmorpg that isn't combat focused, tbh. it will be refreshing. hoping they don't add pvp and stick to their original plans ๐
and even then, in most racing games you can run into the other players to push them off the road
time to make vodka comrades, we must farm the potatoes
Potions that increase movement speed and things of that nature
KKomrade
if you asked a WoW player what's PvP, they'll tell you it's killing another player in an arena or open world. Yes, competitions are technically PvP, but it's not PvP in the traditional sense of most MMOs
I would not call it combat, that's for sure. I would call it racing
He's trying to say that you can vs. another person without violence. Like a hotdog eating contest!
GOING TO MAKE LOVE POTIONS
Search for the term on Google
It looked like the PC in the trailer was drinking tea/another hot beverage, so here's hoping ๐ค
Chapaa supremacy
NO
ono
I dont need to search the term on google. I know what PVP means... Player Versus Player.. What is a competition Petyr?
if the only way to get love from an NPC is to drug them, you should probably change your attitude haha
Only works on NPC's tho xD
What would happen after drinking it? o_o
well that is all i need man ๐ฅ I cant get real love
Roll a D20, see what happens xD
Might finally get myself a partner that way :LUL:
1
if it's a 1, you accidentally mistook it for rat poison or what?
yikes
Uhhh yeah... Gods help you
Nyuff
There will be pvp in Palia. But not in the way of duels in the center of the city. But competitive challenges - according to the unofficial Faq
The classic D20 experience
Imma back
I know this already.
Ok buddy, then all the games who have online capabilities or lan co op, have pvp
Did the pre-alpha already start?
Hey, folks. Let's take a bit of a break from the pvp chat for a moment. It seems to be going around in a circle and getting a lil' heated.
I love me some need for speed pvp
Not yet!
You can sign up :)
@celest maple I am specifically looking for a game where players don't fight each other. But you are stretching the term. If, in RL, I can lift more weight than another person, that is competitive. If, however, we use the weights to fight each other, that is PvP IRL.
Mate dont get angry because you clearly dont understand that a competition is Player versus another player xD
"PvP" and "PvP combat" are generally considered to be the same thing, when they really shouldn't be
nope, it's still registration period. No invites were sent out yet
Do we have any dates ? ๐ค
Want to do some pvp on fifa?
Ikr but I was just repeating what is in the faq :D
I'll be your date ;D
Snowball fight with potion effects added to them (love potion included) ๐
But let's talk about chapaa supremacy
FIFA is a player vs player game is it not? xD
๐ ๐
Facts
Stepping away from the PvP talk.

Okay! Thanks! Just signed up and idk if I get selected but nevertheless I'm excited for the game hahaha
Exactly we can pvp in every game
nope, not really anything specific. Just vague soonTM statements
Thats right mate. Except for Sims ๐
Yeah, right?
Chapaa is honor.
Chapaa is trust.
Chapaa is glory.
Chapaa is love.
Chapaa is life.
Okok ๐
oh damn there could be a marriage system ๐ง
Im glad youre finally getting it
I'm ready
You can fight in the sims
Hi new here wanted to ask if there was a date for when keys might get sent out? I wanna try this game out so bad lol
Sims is singleplayer my guy
WHat about PvT? Player vs Themselves. Because I'm just trying to be a better me ๐
Reject hunanity become chapaa
there's multiplayer mods for the sims, so that's technically wrong
hi
Sims 2 has split screen
Hi new !
Technically base game is singleplayer
Yes~
hey there
You're scaring me
i playt robloc
sanme
And how exactly can i sign in for pre alpha?
I like that ๐
i love jailbreak
adopt me is better
Head over to the website :))
I wonder if this will be one of those games where the pre-alpha is like an almost complete game or if it's going to be more like an actual pre-alpha.
visit their website
https://palia.com/ go here
Through the website!
not impossibility
shush
F to doubt
like players getting married
Ahh then i already did
You can go to the site! palia.com
If you look at Sims as an architecture planning simulator you can make contests out of comparing people's buildings. Pvp :]
obviously there probably wont be itd be interesting with a sharing inventory kind of thing,
I have hopes
Probably some redflags for that
good luck, maybe you'll get a key
Google it
Shared housing and things of that nature
hey you can marry other player in FF14 ๐
you can doubt it, but it's real
So whats your point mate? Youre looking kinda silly
Question: Is there a PVE in this game?
Palia isn't just a game anymore. It's an extension of our reality.
There should be dungeon poping at some point
Hahaha... I never have lzck in this
RP marriage
exploration and discovering secrets is PVE ๐
PvE as in fighting monsters? Not in the current state, nope. There is hunting though
Hunting is PVE xD
nah PVE isn't just that
and they plan on bringing "traditional combat" like that later
Fighting fish instead
yeee
Go back to my first reply to you and read one msg at a time, i'm trying to help you
And murdering trees and rocks
I can tell you how to marry a person in an MMO. Roleplaying, lots of chat. Actually getting to know another person as a human being. You know, like RL.
Until you find out it's just you trying to fight away the existential crisis welling up inside you
itd be a iseless feature to me but still fun :')
help yourself by educating yourself what PVP actually means xD
And then while youre at it, look up what a competition is
Well, i tried
So the first part would be world building. How about the skill system? Do you get to learn them by doing actions or is there a skill tree?
๐คก
Let's all agree that PvP is just competitions between two groups of players
one or more human players compete against other live players. = pvp
Exactly thank you
good evening palia pals
Neleimour in with confirmation?
Kinda like... snowball fights
Hellloooo
pvp = player versus player MindBLOWN
Good afternoon!
Some people dont understand :/
Hello fellow pink name
Alright, that's enough of the PVP chat. Second time I'm asking.
Can we have animal racing? ๐
put on beds are burning good music for good work uwu
letโs form a pink name neighborhood
Aye aye
No more pvp debate
I like it
How many memebers we at now
I'm honestly not too sure. I just know that they plan on giving people a certain degree of freedom in what they spec their skills in, so maybe more like a skill tree?
It's a little P2W but xD Rich kids only
59,408 @celest maple
almost 60k
Almost 60k pog
Damn that's alot
I thought we agreed to drop the debate on what PvP means?
Didn't read the first warning, i'm on my phone. Sorry boss
Well Ive gotta go to school now see ya
Probably gonna hit that 75k milestone maybe even before pre-alpha?
Hype hype hype
100k soon(tm)
"There's still a few things we need to get ready before the Pre-Alpha (that starts so soon)."
stop teasing me please
So soon yet so far away
so soon...in several months
honestly this game might be the one ๐ง
Gonna marry this game
Iโm starting to see pre alpha hallucinations even when Iโm not sleeping someone send help thx
Just like I married WoW all those years ago
So which of the 5 people are going to get lucky enough to get in? ๐
oh damn, we're at almost 60k people in here already?
I just wanna be a blacksmith and hammer stuff hahaha
I joined when there was like 5-10k
So, assuming this isn't going to be a farming or walking simulator, does anyone know what challenges we can expect?
All aboard the hype train
Snowball fights and rigorous fishing
How do you check the actual member count?
Mobile can do it easier but invite links usually have an approximate count
Anyone play Sea of Thieves? I think their fishing system is pretty nice.
hmm I saw the game before, but never even knew there was fishing in it
I unfortunately never got a chance. ๐
A question... Where you are all from?
Finland
I'm on my phone, where do i go?
Iโm half asleep but I must mention bees to any lurking devs. pls bees
Denmark ๐ฉ๐ฐ
Mid Atlantic coast USA
Germany
Finland
Go to channel select, at top by name click the dots
uk ๐ฌ๐ง
Me too
There are a few short videos on youtube that cover it nicely. I think it could do well in a game like Palia.
I hope we get skills by doing specific actions. I mean there should be the basic skill tree first then you experiment and discover other skills just like those in webnovels hahaha
Thanks!
Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ
Bees are fun, but I wish we could weaponize them into fun social toys. Unleash the bees!
yeah, figured from your name haha
BEEKEEPING
I donโt want to weaponize I just want to have them for honey making
Lmaooo maybe in Minecraft. This gameโs too docile for that
I like the Forestry mod for Minecraft a lot!
Frag, I just want to save the bees. Well, specifically the honey bees.
there's 155 people who used their boosts on this server lol
Pets in the game, its bound to have em
it maxes out after 30
Gotta show their love and dedication
hype never maxes out
I want a pet Bee
Hey everyone, i need 1 French player for request ^^
I had honey bees swarming my work the other day. Well over 100 of them flying around, climbing all over windows and up by the ceiling. It was madness.
pet snek
Lizard
it sure does, usually the moment the game drops and doesn't meet all the expectations haha
Can we get at least thousands of different challenges so I can spend the rest of my miserable life in this game please ๐
Sorry for late answering but i work besides
TURTLE ๐ฎ
Oh god that would terrify me
Pink names unite
I have a turtle. Surprisingly they are good pets. Easy to handle hahaha
Pet odder
Iโm personally going to be fishing forever probably
This pink name attack in chat ๐ฅฒ we unloved
I have 4 pet snakes, theyre chill too
My boss is deathly allergic. I've never seen him squeal and squirm around the way he did that day xD
Yeah thatโs a NOPE from me
I had a friend who's pet turtle once ran away. No idea how he managed that
๐
Don't be afraid of honey bees. If they sting you, they die. They're basically pacifists unless you invade their home.
turtles have legs ๐
They tore apart the yellow jacket hive that was out back
Maybe it climbed from the enclosure or aquarium. They fast too
Usually it's the other way around
And they are tasty ๐
Still, I just have an irrational fear of crawling or flying insects. Might be a phobia lol.
let them bee
Ground bees are the same, except they build their homes in your lawn and will try to kill you for stepping on their nest. I should know, I almost died to those dang things.
what..
Thatโs ok everybody scared of something
idk if I'd call them "fast" since his was walking about as fast as a snail and took several breaks
You french or something xD
he was just very careless
I personally prefer frog taste over turtles
Turtle stew?
But I can confirm, have had both
I'll take neither, thank you very much
I just like philly cheese steaks, yall are wild
In Australia we eat normal food xD
Ohhh what turtle is it? I have a red-eared slider. They run fast maybe not run but sprint haha
Hey Texas has great bbq
More like tomboy "Murican redneck. Snapping turtle soup is delicious.
I don't know if there are edible frogs in Australia.
Really? I wouldโve assumed aussies had wild stuff like ostrich egg omelettes or kangaroo jerky.
Those are good too ๐
eh, no clue what type of turtle it was. Been a few years since then and never asked
Same
i really hope the character creation will be really well put together
Ostrich? You mean Emu?
We do have kangaroo jerky
Then again maybe Iโm just stereotyping lol
in here we have Kalakukko and Lanttukukko and yes they doesn't have english name since it doesn't have rooster inside lol
I think they have kangaroo jerky
oooo id love to try some
I always make my characters look just like me. Complete and total character immersion.
I think it will be because there are a lot of devs from different game studios
My aunt married an Australian she met online. Vegemite is tasy
Tastes like beef, but stronger
Love me some Vegemite
Iโd assume so. Probably like a gamey taste
Indeed
i dont want snother Tera or aura kingdom type customisation where all you change is hair, eyes and thats about it
tera has some extra body customisation but its still kinda bleh
Same. Maybe black desert type?
I imagine hair, eyes, and skin tone will be the bare minimum. I wonder if they'll add height and weight as well?
ooh yes
how about PSO2 like ?
Australia does scare the poop out of me though. There are nearly invisible jelly fish that will murder you.
๐คฃ
Black desert customization was too detailed for me. I didnโt understand what half the buttons did LOL
you can check this https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ECHPsDvyC0KP6ldYRaeFtmR0mhwBVGckWEPcH_zNc7E/edit# it's an FAQ put together by Vlad (also pinned in #โโold-team-answers-pre-alpha ) it has a whole section on character creation
Palia Unofficial #ask-the-team Compilation The document contains all the responses from the devs in #ask-the-team on the official Palia discord. I categorized them in a way you can easily understand what they are talking about without adding the actual questions. (I removed repetitive answers in ...
somewhat, i dont really like pso2 tho, it just doesnt click with me
it likely won't be PSO2 or BDO-like, since it's UE4
At first I was also confused but you'll get the hang of it or just select design from community hahaha
Since this is like second life V2, I want character customization at least as good as Fallout4.
but character creator in it is really good, you can make anything with it
wish Palia has same like xD
Maybe like MH: Rise?
oooh ARK like then ? ๐คฃ
Probably will just use most default options, Iโm not too big on customizing. But I definitely see the appeal!
ARK and PSO2 has similar
we'll see. I hope there's a good amount of customisation, but it might also be mostly based on presets and mix-and-match different "assets" if you will
i see
@radiant tartan by default discord has 2k character limit, answer to your #game-suggestions
from the faq, they are planning to make it quite a varied way to customise your character
A majority of my character design experience came from making wii miis lmao
@wooden widget thanks mister, but it's bypassed by nitro
at least there's no gender technically, only body types. So you're not restricted in that matter
Ooooh is there a race selection?
hell yeah
Human is the only playable race atm
Hnng sounds odd but alright
No, everyone is a human
Humans at first, elves in development
Oh damn. I wanted to play the robot LOL
iirc dwarven race mightโve been confirmed though or at least brought up once
now i can finally make a proper femboy in an mmorpg ๐ง
I want to be a Chuu
Or maybe it was just a side comment I need to refind the source
The robot one! A blacksmith robot!
I just joined 5 min ago and i think this will be one of the nicest community ever XD
only one I heard was elves being considered/developed. Haven't heard of dwarves coming any time soon
we try haha
Is there no news for the robot or android just like in the trailer?
Unless you debate PvP ๐
Nope, he's very much a unique character so far. And he's a Golem according to the character sheet btw
Most things are NDA rn so honestly itโs all speculation
also 3000 years old haha
J/K, I really want a chill game.
PVP is not for me. I just want to be a blacksmith. I already had enough of those from other games.
cant wait to see how this game turns out,
Golem likes pebbles. That checks out and makes sense
yeah id be less in pvp and be a reliable person for people to buy and sell from
Oooh I see. So there would be a job like an enchanter or magic engineering?
gotta collect all the pebbles to gain favour of Einar
If they are legit taking pre-alpha applications, they are minimum 2 years out on releasing the game.
imagone you can make a business and hire other players ๐ง
All the pebbles.
That is all the info we know so far
Chapaa supremacy
i can wait
So Palia had set NPCs and high tech stuff that's existed for thousands of years. I wonder if the cross server multiplayer aspect will basically be multiverse theory.
palia
I can't
This
Okay! Thanks! I'll read it
yeah i was lying i cant either
Iโm waiting for like 3 games at once rn
hey atleast this will prob come out
well they already answered it is just one server
Oh. Woops.
Wait there are jobs??
they denied that it will take "years" till the game will come out, so probably closer to a year than two
but you never know with development ofc
i can wait to be fair, blue protocol is what I'm looking for for the next year ๐ง
they have been working on it foe 3 years already
Palia, LoL RPG, and Hytale
Was about to say that. Always double any rough estimate.
Keep in mind, it's been in development since 2018, and this is an experienced group of people.
So it may not take as long as we think.
I'm also waiting for blue protocol
yeah, it's not like they started this project half a year ago
Will be playing more Valorant probably while I wait lmao
So how many people still have any hope on an actual release for star citizen?
i really hope blue protocol doesnt fail cos it look gorgeous
yeah, BP is the next thing that will actually come out and interest me I think. Although there won't be a global version any time soon either, so
at least I can use my Japanese for something
๐
๐
I can't see a true polished game released without a minimum of a year of testing :/
theres rumours that itll be released in the west as well by the end of the year but no confirmed source
Yeah, I saw gameplay from the testers and I would say I get Kurtzpel vibes from it
LMAO
we'll see once the alpha rolls out. Basing the quality/progress of a game off of a trailer is a pretty hard afterall
Oh absolutely, but a year isn't quite the same as "years." And we're not sure how big the alpha will be, and if it will grow with time.
please don't mention that game...
True, there will definitely be quite a few bugs for a few weeks after release. Hopefully all major ones get patched though through the pre registered testing phase
Depends on the game. Tbh the theme is what's new for Palia, they don't seem to be doing much they haven't already done before in terms of mechanics and features.
Back in the old days kurtzpel was good but now it sucks
Aye sir!
Thanks for filling out the survey! You'll get an email in the next few weeks if you're invited. it says few weeks but idk if that just means invited to play or to play when alpha comes out
Kurtzpel was one of the biggest disappointments I've seen in a while
when I first saw it, I was really excited. Then it released...
does anyone know if its going to cost money? if so how much? :o
monetisation is still unknown
Cyberpunk was a joke imo
rea sad how low the bar is for anime style mmos
I hope it's upfront cost. Free game with community focus. Ohgodno
We don't know yet. I would suggest reading the #โโgame-faqs channel which has answers to a lot of these questions
I actually laughed so hard
That's when you'd get the invitation, not when alpha comes out. I don't believe the devs have announced any kind of due date just yet.
ah ok

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
If it's as buggy as Cyberpunk, the game will never live.
The only acceptable thing now is genshin haha
I kind of had a feeling it would end up a major disappointment as soon as I heard of it.. ๐
good morning to you
Well this game has hype so we can all just wait for some dude on reddit to leak the test footage ^-^
Cyberpunk was rushed too much.
I'd love for their to be some kind of monetary wall for game access. Free to play would be scary xD
honestly, if a game doesnt have waifus and husbandos its just not really great for the culture
Agreed, as long as they got enough of the right developers from Blizzrd, etc.
Cyberpunk had like half the features removed just to ship it out on time. The only way they'll ever redeem the game is if the free DLC include every promised feature and then some, all integrated into the base game meaningfully. I say this as someone who enjoyed the game.
Ngl, Cyberpunk is still a better game than Kurtzpel. Unless you're playing on a last-gen console, Cyberpunk is just a buggy mess of an overhyped game, but not really much worse. People simply expected another Witcher 3, which is fair after their advertisement campaigns and hype over like 9 years or how long it was in development, but what they got was simply an average open world RPG with a d*ck slider
I see potential in this group of devs though. They seem to be quite open to suggestions and are flexible with change
Welp, the players asked for it even though the devs said it wasn't ready yet.
thats on like anime style games
@bitter marten >:^(
True
yeah
I stand with you on that one. I gonna pull for klee now hahaha
FTP just means buy our microtransactions. Will not play if that's the way they go.
I'm very confused, so are people getting Pre-Alpha keys? Or are those yet to come out cause I'm seeing memes
@rose mulch meanwhile I'm hoping for microtrasactions that go hand in hand with trading
it can be done right rarely
if its p2w im out
We must learn from our fallen Cyberpunk comrades, we must not rush Palia
Hopefully any micro transactions are just for purely aesthetic purposes and not p2w
well, if it's just cosmetic. Some games can live off of that alone
yeah this kind of microtransactions
Yeah, cosmetics are able to carry games
Even if microtransactions are purely cosmetic, I feel like it'd be damaging to this style of game. Especially since cosmetics are something that a lot of people will be farming for.
I reckon Microtransactions are inevitable
I mean some of the devs are from Riot right? They do cosmetics well no p2w
but tbf, I wouldn't even know how this game can become P2W when there's barely even competition between players in that sense
but they're probably mostly cosmetic
Then again, microtransactions for cosmetics would allow for the game to be free-to-play, a model that many MMOs are taking these days.
well, I heard it got a bit worse over the years in League (no idea how though, haven't played since 2014) but yeah, League primarily lives off of skins
I'd rather have a subscription fee and absolutely ZERO microtransactions. Even cosmetic ones
I don't know if you play a lot of free mmos, but unless you don't want any public chat features free players always ruin the vibe.... And in a community focused chill game, vibe is pretty important.
Pay for upgraded crafting, better tools, etc. would still be considered p2w
kept free realms alive. the whole social aspect ended up being trading clothes. it can be fun and good if the prices are done right!
Valorant too
Game currency, materials, superior gear for farming fishing or hunting, lots of ways it could go south
nah, I know how it could be p2w
Look, F2P and microtransactions or subscription with cosmetic microtransactions
I've played free realms, which is what I was hoping for, and it was great. BUT it was 2010 and alot of us were younger. also my face was at u talking about a reddit guy leaking alpha footage LOL
that's what it'll likely be
A community based F2P would be nightmare fuel, and could very well chase people away. Memers and trolls would be more inclined to hop on a free game.
i really hope theres no need for micro transactions to be honest, id happily pay just so micro transactions had less chance to come about
Way too many MMOs. The sub model was way more fair to the players
Some players might trade irl currency for items
Oh well yeah that's going to happen. This is no man's sky v2
Hype train of all hype trains
That's fair, but I'd still like to see an initial cost for entry.
why?
The subscription model is also somewhat predatory, since you have to pay a monthly fee on top of paying for the game itself. Maybe have an initial buying price to keep out trolls and memers?
@still fog Agree 100% that initial hurdle is so important to keep out toxic people and farmers (to some extent)
it's hard when you've played one game that has done microtransactions and f2p very well while every other game does it wrong. I'm specifically hoping for free realms level good not the sucky f2p ya kno
more like the way they're presenting it, telling us the game won't be a grind hell etc. it seems unlikely that they'll monetise a lot of these things. Most p2w games or "convenience items" as the mind controlled would call it, are simply selling you the solution to the problems they themselves created. And Palia seems to simply not include a lot of these problems, like time requirements for crafts etc.
Membership like club penguin would be kind of interesting
Yeah, it's hard to discuss the monetization if we have 0 idea about how the game even functions๐
S6 seems very innovative. I could see this going many ways. I highly doubt any P2W being added and I can see probably a monthly subscriptions. Who knows there innovation my lead to no microtranactions but either way I'm very excited
Nothing's bulletproof, but it would help a lot I think
they could also go the ESO route and have F2P membership and a monthly membership
I would prefer just a simple monthly reasonable fee, and no hidden monisisation
Doesn't look like there's planet travel on Palia, but beyond that, pretty exciting stuff really.
I just hope if they do cosmetics they don't go the WoW route. Where all game obtained cosmetics suck, just so the store ones stand out more.
oh hell nah, ESO is terrible in that sense
@patent adder I think that's a bad stance to take. We can speculate and I think it's important we do so early on and let the devs know what we want
I'm good with paying any amount of money in any particular way if I get trading, I just see a cosmetics shop as the only streamlined cosmetic trading enabler
It would be very fun to have everything earned in game, that way people really respect the grind
"optional" sub costs that are basically required if you plan on playing the game properly is horrible imo
i stand for that
Yeah, it could definitely be better
I'd rather not have to buy the game tho either
if we can make clotbes/ work towards clothes with no cosmetic shop and have trading then pay to buy cost is cool :D
The only optional "subs" I genuinly enjoy are season passes
oh lord, season passes
Yeah. Even though I have money to buy but I always like to grind. I'm cheap as hell haha
Crafting and a trade hub would do this nicely, as well as artifacts and things found out in the world by players. I don't think real currency would be a necessary factor for cosmetic trading.
This is what made me quit WoW the second time.
i dont think this game needs a season pass lmao
I doubt the game won't have one tbh
Yeah for sure. I just think it's too difficult without having anything more then a minute and a half trailer and a Google doc of some questions. Monetization is just something people will forever argue about though. Especially when we have so few details about the game ๐ People are obviously free to discuss it though, that was just my take
at least from what the game seems to promise
A "season pass" is how we used to play MMOs. You just paid once a month.
ah crap
I'm kind of over free to play games, dont @ me i'd rather buy a game and have a far less aggressive dlc/shopfront monetization
like legit done with f2p bullshit
I said "season pass" but I meant battle passes or whatever you wanna call them
A community game with only a monthly membership could be fantastic but honestly I'm just loving the sound of it either way... Besides there could be some cool cosmetics that come out from microtransactions which I can understand from a servicing side. As long as it isn't crazy to the point of a lot just for the sake
basically do dailies, quests etc. and earn rewards
Agreed.
and they change monthly
I would agree. While it is good to speculate and discuss, I think gamers tend to only view monetization from their POV and how they ideally view it. Rather than taking into account the needs of a team of developers, which we don't fully know ofc
f2p can be fun lets be honest but, because its free they need to make stuff Thats actually cool behind a paywall
I agree. Regardless of their monetary stance, I just hope it's not purely F2P or P2W. Beyond that, they'll do what they feel is best for the longevity of the game.
yeah why would you p2w in fishing?
An initial cost will do a lot to combat farmers and toxic players, so I'm hoping they take that route.
true
Yeah, like I said, that's just my take. I'm of course not trying to make people stop talking about it. Everyone is free to do what they want โบ๏ธ
I would just hope people would want to be trading ya kno cause it may be a smaller aspect since people may gather resources themselves. fr did a cosmetic shop where you guaranteed one thing in "card packs" so alot of people traded duplicates for what they didn't get. there were also clothing colors that became rare from being unable to get and idk I just want TRADING LMAO
I for one will personally gladly throw money at this project. Doesn't matter if it's F2P or P2P. F2P i find it fair for moniziation, with P2P i think only cosmetics with no benefits are fair since you already paid. I think the best approach for them is part of the game being F2P and another part being membership based with cosmetics on top. Just my personal 2 cents
That's why you can play WoW for 15 dollars a month. It is a sub. I have seen "FTP" crap games that have $100 bundles. That is ridiculous.
personally, I think the troubling thing about the monetization model they're leaning on this days is that everything is packaged and you have to go one way or another with this subscription model and it's almost like a religion really
I think some people will prefer to stick to some activities that they find they enjoy more (people sticking to fishing, others sticking to cultivating the land) and that's where trading will arise
Yeah, if it's sub based and they offer a lifetime sub, I'd buy the heck out of that ๐
which is kind of annoying.
that dont sound too bad
I'll be sad if there's no player trading ๐ But in a game with so many crafting and exploration aspects, I'm sure there will be
I wonder how they will prevent degenerate play and bots ?
Oh, I know what you meant! I agree. I am also curious but I also have so little info, that I feel like i can't make much sense or discuss that well ๐
well, question is whether there is a need for bots or not
just remember it would have to be worth while for them, so they might ask a hefty price for life time membership
when there's no need/use for bots, then people won't really use them either
oh yeah maybe if areas of expertise are big enough/ require skills you would NEED to trade. that would be nice. pls
Yeah, I know. I'd expect it $400~
If there is a benefit in farming things then there will be bots.
honestly i cant keep up with combat based rpgs that well, furthest i got was level 50 something in blade and sould and rank 50-60 in genshin.
u bet ur bottom I am going to be a tailor/ fabric/ clothing trader or something pls I'll raise SHEEP
that's a lie, people will always use bots. I personally don't think botting is needed for woodcutting in runescape, yet it is HEAVILY botted
So I'm under the assumption that Blizzard developers are involved with this project, though I'm not sure in what positions. But based on World Of Warcraft, I'm sure they'll have basic MMO features such as trading and such
I think it might just be a time consumption thing, I don't think you could feasibly be at the top of your field without dedicated all your time to the specialty
At least that's what I've seen a couple other mmos with lifetime subs costs ๐
yeah, doesn't sound out of line tbh.
An initial cost for the game as well as active moderators will be enough to combat this.
But there is a USE, that's the point
This might be my ignorance.. but, there's games that offer lifetime subscription models? :o that's crazy! How have i never heard of this
i personally don't care for season passes/battle passes unless they are relatively non-agonizing to go through, cos a lot of them are terrible to try to force you to purchase the paid pass. conceptually i dont mind them, because i like the idea of being rewarded for playing, but yeah. but i feel like the fact they foster fomo would probably not be great for the design goals of this game by how i understand them so far. SoT's first battle pass, idk how the following ones have fared, was pretty great to me cos i got through it only playing very casually w my friends on the weekends
currently i'm back to loving subscription-based, but i would definitely prefer something under 15 a month, cos that's the most frequent model for many services and it really adds up ;; _ ;; i aint made of money
yeah big as in you can't just get what u need easily and go onto a next field
is fancypantsmcgee the creator of fancy pants?
Honestly, I would prefer a smaller subscription model over an in-game cash shop/premium currency
Cash shops can get extremely predatory fast
Man i hope the devs didn't create this Discord in order to learn what we want because we are all over the place in every single aspect lol
speaking of blizzard, Overwatch has been going downhill last 2-3 years
I'm sure they'll tweak things so we have a decent economy if that's what they're looking for so I'm not worried ๐
Yeah but Overwatch is an FPS literally made by a developer of World Of Warcraft. I was inevitable lmao
i don't know if this has been ask but does anyone knows what is the payment method of the game? is it gonna be a sub method or b2p
technically I think that a sub model is the best, but it will definitely kill the game for a lot of players and even if there's a sub, you can bet on it that they'll still likely sell cosmetics. That's just how games do it these days, even big ones like WoW or FF14.
Hmm not sure not worked in other games. If there are a lot of players people moderators would not work, you would need some kind of automatic AI tech to find botters, and also a good reportig systen to help train the AI.
it was meant to be a story with it!
trading. it's all I need. people trading and accepting trades. even if it's crops. or clothing. something I can collect aAh
I think overwatch is gaining momentum again
Good morning
well, WoW at least is payable with ingame currency
morning
morning o7
Trading is a basic feature of MMOs lol. Don't worry, you'll get it
Nice day for fishing ain't it!
Thats the biggest reason i played the game, it was fun, and there was a whole lot of mystery of a narrative
My boy ๐
Heya
hu ha!
Some games actually lack trading. They're rather few, though.
Speaking of all these monetary concepts, what do you all think of in-game curency? Exclusively trading materials and crafting, or will there be some variant of "gold" or "coins" for players to trade and spend?
If i remember correctly runescape for a short while had a life time subscription, at a hefty 350 euros. But they removed it quickly again as too many people were switching to it
Let's face it, a lot of us will be broke soon anyway, but I have hated microtransaction games sine the start. WoW gives you a gigantic area to play in, and I think I heard that some of the devs for this game were from Kefir, one of the most predatory crap game developers in the entirety of existence.
Selling raw lobsters, 12 carrots ea.
in the long run lifetime subscriptions pay less
I still have hope, but I will also research
True, but apparently veterans from Blizzard are on this project, and trading is a basic feature of World of Warcraft
Keep in mind, the devs themselves make the game, they don't decide how financial models are presented and implimented.
For me I think 3 diff currencies max.
Even 3 is a bit much imo
10 carrots ๐ค
Yeah, it's not a sustainable model for MMO's if they want to run for 15+ years
You drive a hard bargain, but I'll take it. ๐
@red jay yeah most mmos have it but it's not the main part of the game's main sociability usually. or it is and then the mmos aesthetic sucks or is expensive ๐ฅฒ
I like fixed currencies cause it makes stuff simpler, on the other hand, having a item-trade-system like Path of Exile is preeeety fun
OK, I mean the company then. Devs care a whole lot more than bean counters.
in the long run yeah. But most games usually require you to play for like 3-4 years + to benefit. And let's be real, most people don't play MMOs regularly for that long
Currency do be pog tho
if you instead played only whenever there's new content, you'll save actual money in the long run
and won't be cucked if the game dies
Corporate suits and grand entities never were my cup of tea
welp im off to bed, it's 03:25 am here haha, have a good day/night everyone o/
I kind of wonder if a social leaning game could keep people with a sub fee.
thats what i planned to do with genshin
cya
why could we not trade on club penguin. bro I would have cried
I would not like in game currency, as its a farming game i would prefer a barter system goods exchange, where the community decied the worth of good to trade, it would also promote more social interaction and people can become known for particular types of materials.
Gnight :)
yea and when I'm not sure how much I will have the time to actually play, subscription just isn't very appealing
yeah but most of the people able and willing to purchase a lifetime subscription are the people who do play mmos for years
havent played genshin on my main accountbin ages tho
I like this. Trading, not buying.
but what games even survive for years these days? And I mean survive with a decent playerbase. There's a reason there's only a handful of MMOs that aren't considered to be on lifesupport
With genshin I only play if there's a new event or content then finish it all and wait for new content.
because im waiting for the maps to be unlocked! and the new element power
LOTR online, freerealms I think, startrek online. There's another new mmo that I wanted to support and offered it too
auction house yay or nay?
SWTOR still has a playerbase
1.6 is just around the corner
generally older sub-based games with a very much declining playerbase
OH yeah
Is it more appealing to pay for a season pass, then $10 for one bundle, and $25 for an outfit. All in one month?
i'll be reluctant myself because I know I'll quit at some point
as in will they have it in the game?
more like "would you LIKE them to be in the game?"
I'd pay $10 for the month and $25 for the first few months.
hmm, some sort of trading system would be good. But it depends on how much there is to actually trade and have an economy with
after that $10 for sure, $25 if I still enjoy the game enough
AH i say no as it removes the need for people to talk to each other.
Trading post. Post an item, offers cam be made for said item, and the player chooses which option to take in exchange for their goods.
oh damn
I mean right now even free games I'm still paying for monthly gems package... which is usually $15
If I remember correctly, Star Trek Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Lord of the Rings Online all had lifetime subscription options at the beginning of their lifetimes, and if you look at all of them today, they're all F2P with pretty awful cash shops
i need to level up my genshin then if its going to the next map
Gooood morrrrningggg โค๏ธ โค๏ธ
If you're around AR 40-45 you should be good
unfortunately thats why they're still alive
hi everyone
ill need to check
How is everyone doing today? โค๏ธ
I hope this game will have a bunch of stuff to craft and gather so you can have an economy with it. Maybe even go as far as to have specialisations that will take a while and dedication to unlock specific recipes which products can then be sold. But we'll see. They did mention that they have some "unique approaches to how we want to handle the transfer of items between players"
Good evening ๐
evening
๐
Or you can play WoW for $15 a month, except when an expansion comes out (which you need to buy) like, maybe once a year. And there is more content in WoW than 30 or 50 microtransaction games put together.
Not that I play WoW any more.
Good morning โบ๏ธ
Good afternoon!
ive spent over $300 on wow ez
heyo o7 (nice BDO Bongo cat haha)
Just supporting the sub model
I hope this game is good tbh. I'm gonna need something to play when I'm not playing WoW Classic for like 13 hours a day lol
Good afternoon!
@brittle forge @patent adder ahh, that's interesting though! I haven't played any mmo in some time, didn't know that type of sub model existed! Thank you for illuminating my lack of knowledge
Hi Guys ! โค๏ธ โค๏ธ
hey o7
Honestly, I easily spent 300 bucks on ESO when I had a jobb, it's why I decided to not ever subscribe to anything ever again
Yeah, it's not very common.
Like I love the game, I purchased all of the exapnsions too , but still
How about a Netflix subscription?
I'd rather keep my money and buy food instead
I hope they have a lot of tools for in game social media. I want a situation where you need a specific thing there is none around but you hear through the grapevine that someone in another valley specialises in it, so you have to go on a journey to find the other player.
I don't use Netflix x'D
small change, 15 years on runescape ruins your bank
Well, I know WoW has microtransactions now too, but that is one of the reasons I don't play it any more.
Anyone here playing biomutant currently?
My boyfriend actually gave me his because during Covid I cancelled mine due to being fired
this would be so cool
Think this game will have tools that break after getting damaged and need replacing?
Truth. Although at the start of this year OSRS offered a year for 6.99 a month I think so I bought that๐
And he has a 6 people account, so I just decided to not renew it because it's way too much money spent.
i could imagine higher tier gear being degradable to level out the games economy, while lower tier gear is not degradable
If we have blacksmiths then I guess it's a YES
:( losing a job during covid is not nice, and super stressful. So I feel your pain.
Stay safe, and stay healthy
in the questions they said higher tier gear replaces your lower tier gear
so I assume they don't break
I kind of hope that they go with a repair system instead of a break system. (If they do have durability.)
they didn't specifically approve nor deny it, but they said that you won't have the same tool in multiple grades in your inventory, as in the better tools replace the older ones, so I don't think durability will be a thing
i know how OSRS players feel about RS3 but i'm personally a RS3 player
thank you! โค๏ธ
It's fine, though I start a new job on the 21st and I kinda look forward to it
i somehow keep trying to get back into it but meh

It's been a good few hours, but I'm off to bed. I'm gonna hate myself in the morning for staying up this late ๐
Gnight yall.
lost job during covid too but got an even better paid one.. also during it, stuff always gets better again
It seems that the discord is so active ideas and feedback will just be lost, maybe they need a formal way for ideas feedback in the alpha test to collect ideas in a more structured way ?
rs3 is fine but it's not the same runescape I enjoyed
Whatever floats your boat. Who am I to say what is better. I play osrs single player as IM. I just prefer os โบ๏ธ
Conga rats! I got told I was gonna get laid off and then got told I was getting a contract. Confusing times ๐
I'm staying positive!
Remember, Chapaa not Chuu

My entire personality is about positivity cx Chuuuuuuuuuu
Certainly, that is why they are screening applicants.
they will have either a channel or a dedicated discord for feedback. I've been in multiple CBT/CATs before and they always do it that way
cant relate
Hello everyone ๐
They could probably search key terms on discord if they want to find some suggestions on a certain subject, but it could be a problem with the number of people, yes.
Heya!
That's a good personality to have. We'd be friends! ๐
Aw, hugs for you!
Runescape 3 is techinally the original Runescape that evolved over time. OSRS is an older version of RS that got released some years ago to please the players unhappy with the evolution of combat update
just checked the trailer on IGN channel and landed here
oh, interesting
Hullo friend ๐
game looks stunning
Yessss be neighbour so I can knock on your door and ask for carrots so I can adopt a bunny. <u<
welcome, glad you're here now :D
looks beautiful like Genshin Impact
Awwh, alright. Deal! โบ๏ธ
yes it doesssssss!!!!
dont steal milky, he shall be my neighbour
omigosh yes
but yeh in wow i spent $45 on store items, $30 was a donation and the other was a pet, and i still spent nearly $300 on the game just playing through expansions
you can be our neighbour tooooooo
i love to play anime open world games
so no matter what palia does, it wont be that expensive
I can and will eat all of your cookies

looks pretty and breath-taking always
Those expansions were over many years.

I'm sooo looking forward to fishing and cooking
Why does everyone want me๐ฅบ
still
๐
Same for me with cooking
have to leave for college in an hour ๐ฉ
I'm looking forwards to hunting and cooking, myself.
because you cute and you nice and you deserve headpats
i hope they give us the chance to open a wine shop and a restuarant
๐
it was 6 to 8 years for me
Again, I am not supporting WoW. I quit ages ago.
omg that sounds so much fun
โ
I just like the sub model
i want my own wine and food restaurant
more like a tavern
i wanna open a Cafรฉ
i cant believe you
making myself a delicious rague out of the cutest animal in the game. Just to watch the world burn
๐ฐ
I hope we can bake things
imagine if you can open a cafe!!, omg
cookies are LOVE
๐
I wanna make friends with everyone and be in an open relationship with all the NPCs
Don't want to play any more? Just don't pay the next month's sub/.
like you sell coffee to people, that be so fun
xD
I would love to have an ingame bakery.
make cookies less pricey, or give me discounts
ehhh
Awh thanks ๐
reminds me of that bunny clip and the arrow lol
sounds a bit out of scope
i love wow, its just expensive
if game doesn't give us much money
Microtransaction games are evil. Period.
in-game
weekly "open relationship party" with all the NPC's
๐คฃ
omg no
exactly xD
๐ณ
๐ฅบ
spicy
OMG GUYS I GOT SAD
๐ฎ
that's.... not needed
hangout with npc's, helping them out should be fun
MY BOYFRIEND SENT ME A BUNNY VIDEO AND I WAS LIKE "AW LOOK AT THE BUNNY" and then A HAWK CAME AND TOOK THE BUNNY AND YOU CAN HEAR IT'S LITTLE SCREAMS
yeah its called hunie pop
Don't be sad. We are here for talking, cuddling, whatevs.
๐ฅบ ๐ฅบ
xDDDDDD
building friendships with NPC's should give us good rewards

seen that video, laughed my butt off
I'm literally crying
that we can use in many ways
omg
the friendship is the reward
reminds me of that one meme with the bunny killed and the "this is the cutest thing i've ever seen" LUL
i will be in heaven if i can have a little home, with like a bunny/squirrel pet
that video is older than time itseeelf
Awww, hon, it's just how nature works....
you get written in the wills of the npcs where they give you their house ๐ง jkjk
like u
I Did not know x'D
๐ข
after befriending the village, fragtured was about to commit a big crime
damn we're just talking about Minecraft again
Thats why you should watch videos of cute foxes instead
I love foxes
Foxes are best
Honestly they're such a lovely animal
I have a friend who sent me a video of the fox island in Japan
Foxes are amazing, yeah
fennec fox
and I wanna go so badddddd
Foxes are the best. They're like dogcats.
that's one of the greatest places on earth
Everyone hide, Anjin is here to burn the villages ๐ฅบ
you like foxes... may i introduce you to "the red panda"
YouTube keeps recommending me videos from some russian fox channel ๐
omggg
I love red pandas!!
Ackkk....cuteness overload
its okay its only the evil village inc.
aw chonky baby
Sloths > all
I love them so muuuuuch

fennec fox โค๏ธ
I once adopted a moth that I found in my livingroom and I called him Gilbert
Reptiles, rodents, foxes, dogs, cats, whatever, so long as it's cute then it's cute.
i had a snail outside my door called jermery
Ok, if we're just gonna post gifs, I'm out.
i would feed him and the others lettuce
hi out
i want a snek
XD nothing wrong with gifs
alright, time for uni. Have a good one guys
LOOK AT CUTE
we do be #๐ฌโoff-topic-chat
chonky moth
I think there also exist a pink/white moth
pangolin โค๏ธ
SO anyone wonder how large the palia world is actually gonna be?
i hope huge, like huge huge
guess the game size
๐

cant wait for the first big wave of news and information </3
if it has map expansions like genshin impact, will be really big then
huge enough to not remember any of the map but enough to enjoy exploring
i think that will be the case
dont forget platypus
๐ I'm excited for it tbh... a more relaxing/exploring mmo vs the rush and grind some others feel like sometimes
Platypi? Platypuses? Platypeople?
they have said its a MMORPG
so expect alot of exploring and missions at the release time
I wonder if resources will be instanced, or per player
Like, mining or cutting trees
will be per player probably
I mean they didn't seem to really want a competitive or limit environment so probably
otherwise co-op exploration won't be good
yeah , I see
cant stop to think of this game as a "fantasy life"-MMO, hope I dont fixate too much on that thought and in the end, its something totally different :D
I also wonder what inventory management would look like
im ok with no pvp but i hope there is some type of pve
Npc simulator
I kinda want a big expanded crafting system
Wait can someone explain what is this game about? And i'm excited already!!
the adventurers are the npcs now and you are the one giving them quests
It's a community SIM MMO , basically, it's less about combat and more about community
You can craft, fish, and hunt
main questions : how many platforms will be getting this game
They mentioned having a unique solution to this, if I'm not mistaken. I'm also curious!
You have a customizable house, etc.
any idea ?
basically, animal crossing mmo
Yup
Has there been any information of the date for the pre alpha? I haven't had the time to stay updated
PC for now other platforms later on
Not that we know of
Oh okay, thanks ^^
we all thirst for information :D
they said, we will be informed if selected for pre-alpha tests
Oh, forgot to say, hope everyone will have a good morning/day/afternoon/evening or night!
in few weeks
you toooo!
so keep checking your emails everyday
Hey!
for me, number one on my list is how big is the world and am i able to just walk around anywhere
Howdy
Will do! I just hope I have the time to participate : ' ) haha
Anyone knows if thereโs going to be any sort of dungeons?
Thank you!
cant wait to see where/how you can select/buy your houses, do the landscapes have themes? and all that stuff
In the new announcement they made they said pre alpha will be very soon, and they're also doing a Q&A on Thursday so you can expect any day after Thursday for pre-alpha to release. With that being said they also said it could be weeks or months but no longer than years.
I hope it won't be FFXIV style because that will be a hell
Hello โบ๏ธ
I just saw Palia as my Google news and now I'm here.
welcome
That's awesome. I hope you have a good time and find the community nice ๐
Which is a very niche MMO sub-genre. I think Second Life and Roblox are the other games I can think of that fulfill that niche
Do you guys know if there any game footage out? Specially the character customisation?
