I understand the chill aspect of the game (at least on how it was portrayed in the trailer) but yeah I like the idea of some sort of things keeping the game from going stale, like perhaps wolves harass your flock and you have to deal with it or perhaps a group of not so friendly NPCs who'd rather steal your goods. Just a random thought, I've always been the type of player that really needs some sort of conflict or struggle

I think the nice thing about games like Stardew (and hopefully Palia?) is that it puts a lot of the onus on the players to find those things, those struggles, themselves rather than putting them overtly in the game. I see your point, though!

Community events to bring new NPCs to the game would be nice. For example, maybe an NPC who specializes in ice cream wants to build a parlor, but needs help getting everything they need to get started and a certain threshold will have to be met across the game before the NPC can officially set up shop and teach new recipes/sell new things to players.

Nah see, first you keep it for the eggs and feathers (food, pillows, quill pens, companionship), then when it's an old chicken you cook it (more feathers, cooking recipes, cool bones). You really want to get the most out of your chicken.

This is easier said than done, if you like just idling and tending crops this is already done well with a plethora of other titles. But being able to blend and enhance aspects into one while providing an entertaining outlet and amount of content, especially in an MMO can be challenging to say the least

I am a programmer, and I love my QA, ok sometime a have to reread 2 or 3 times to understand how they managed some bug, but I really appreciated their input for the final quality of the product.

Devs are like "see, you just do this and then this thing happens" and QA is like "yeah, but if you do this, it explodes and that's waaaaay more fun."

They told us to write our bugs as if giving step by step instructions to a 3 year old, because at 2am, after the 7th pot of coffee for the day, when the dev gets your bug report, that's what they need.
