true, also i think comparing it (not talking about you but our mate just a little higher) to tabletop version is not really usefull.
I believe that people search something else from the video game version, of course it's going to be different than a homemade campaign with friends.
And to be fair, sometimes it's also because it has become quite hard to reunite and do tabletop games with friends when there's is a good distance between them, or when you just have next to no social interaction with people who does play DnD or any other game (the place where i live is really isolated so i don't think i'll do any little call of Cthulhu campaign soon)

I think the whole idea behind one race is pretty cool. A lot of other mmos went with the fantasy appeal of changing how you look and what not which was a hit! However i think the developers here are after making other features of the game a hit. Race is such a tiny fragment of an mmo, its 99% of the time just glanced over. I'm all about the exploring, I do hope there is risk involved in exploring because that is part of the fun of poking in dark corners for surprising things. I suspect that the cozyness of the game lends to a death system that doesn't penalize in terms of gear or experience, but may still be an aspect if you are on the edges of the world.
