the only changes i can see that would be useful for honey lures is the change of recipe to use either apples or honey for materials, or to set it where the person who placed the honey lure gets all of the loot whether or not they hit the bug to help with the stealing rare bugs from the other players that just run up and catch them themselves.

Which... kinda, implies it wouldn't show up in the game. I know it has a diff name, but still. I think a lot of players (not everyone obviously) would of felt a bit better about knowing that information more upfront and not potentially feeling 'lied' to or 'misled'.

I know someone has tried to suggest, more than once as well, to have the #🌟│sixer-tracker be similar to the palia-news or whatever, so you can 'follow' it and have it post in your own server, for those who might of left the server, banned, or whatever. Because some important stuff gets pinned in there, and it sucks that some people can't or don't have access to it for one reason or another.

It still wouldn't fix the issue that some of those things are only in Discord, but it at least would help some players who might not be here for whatever reason. ... Still hope and wish those things would end up posted elsewhere, though, so more people are aware.

I think if they want people to play they could add some freebies when you level up so say every 50 levels you get a free shirt or unlock additional colors on the default outfits. Right now leveling is a useless mechanic in the game past 50 after you get all the awards.

We already have the lucky balls AND the spin wheel where they could have been added with the rest of the big random plushes

1- allow us to connect our house sections together, I feel that is wasted space.
2- give us more space on the second floor of the grand house, if we spend 25,000 to get that house only to find out you took 90% of the top floor out, I feel we got dooped. Infected dragur beetles on a lure, full party with minimum bag 3, brighteye 4, and lantern. Each beetle will roughly be 20-25 essence with the relic stacking. Plus frogs share same spawn area. With relic stacking, frogs are about 65 essence. With double loot, you can get beetles that are 50 essence and frogs that are 120+ essence. It will take less than 1 real life hour to get 3500/4000 essence (or roughly like 140 infected beetles if you catch zero frogs). I average no less than 10k essence on a luring trip with my community.

Which for anyone else who is curious. I personally took the advice & went todo just a single honeylure to see what I would get.

After focusing on just scaring away anything that wasn't a flamefrog or infected. I managed to walk away with just under 500 essence. That was with me using a T4 Bag so I could us normal smoke bombs. Anyone going solo-mode could increase their gains [in theory] by using a Bright eyes & using elderwoods smoke bombs.

The inventory/storage QOL updates are nice - you can differentiate items that looked identical but stacked separately (flowers in various growth stages, tinted decor) and decor (including plushies) now stacks in inventory - we saw the 2nd appearance of an accessibility section in the patch notes, and delivering on a few things they promised recently, but yeah otherwise you're right , there's some big long outstanding QOL and serious safety/accessibility items that still aren't addressed and the comms mistakes continue after they promised increased diligence there. Overall a mixed bag, but there have been rougher updates and less eventful?punchy?impactful? updates than this one.

The fact that we need to spend a currency OTHER than gold for an item that scales drastically in price makes it a no contest.

on top of that the new "gazebo" doesn't mesh with literally any of the other housing items.

That all being said, this is all going off of what I've seen from the promotional pictures. As a solo player it's much harder to farm essence than people with a dedicated community. So I have yet to purchase any of the new items.

And as a side note: it's not that I don't want to be in a community... it's more that I've honestly just stopped trying. Because I have gotten tired of joining - then pretty much literally everyone leaving to the point where it gave me a complex. & I decided "ya know what..." It as though the team heard everyone complaining about renown not having much use and decided to make a brand new currency to use for new content instead of utilizing something that's been in the game from JUMP.

Like, Elderwood is supposed to be later on. Which is why the MSQ is in place. Having to grind a bit to get the gold (if it was used instead, and more expensive) would of also been fine. It's just another time-gated thing, which is fine. Essense is essentially doing the same thing, and I don't think changing it to gold would of changed much.

Sure, some veterans might of been able to access the new stuff sooner rather than later. But not everybody. And it's a grind either way.

Heck, some veterans and players are locked and can't even access that stuff anyways because of how inaccessible some temples or skills are.

I mean, it being easier to get a lot of essence fast in parties is a good thing and makes sense, because the game is somewhat functioning as it was advertised as a multiplayer game. (I could go on a whole other thing about how Palia as a whole really does not play like a multiplayer mmo, but that's a diff convo.) Where the mechanic fails for me personally, is that in order to really truly get the maximum essence possible in a party, multiple people have to had lvled up the gear from Elouisa, which is dependent on getting the tickets for the recipes, which is...dependent on the rng gods that you don't get the same collectible pieces 20 times or spending half your time trying to trade with people. Once you manage to hit the plateau sure the essence parties feel good. But it is a longer process than it needs to be to get there imo.

Plus, from what I understand, the essence fills up your inventory, right? Which I know some players and people may not like. Especially when some items, from what I can gather (pls correct me if I'm wrong), can fill up your entire inventory to buy something, right?

It's becoming more disjointed from sizing, tints having different colour schemes depending on the furniture set, and lack of actual customisation options for new sets like the Camping, Kilima, and now this set But these are minor issues compared to the bugs, broken quests and accessibility limitations that should be taking priority.

I want thing to cost gold because:

1. I already have a lot of it.
2. I can farm it while offline because gardening.

If I want to farm essence, I actually have to actively go to EW, and focus on grinding. If I do it solo, I can at least sit and watch Star Trek while I do it, which is what I'd prefer to do if I was forced to grind something.
However if I wanted to do it efficiently, then I have to group up. If I group up, I have to invest more focus onto the game.

I just want to build. I spend hours building, and I enjoy it. I don't want to spend hours grinding.

I like the idea of being able to use Renown, however I see how this could be a big hindrance for new and returning players. Allowing us to convert it to a more useful currency seems like a good solution to that.

I am a bit annoyed by all the different currency used in this game. I have almost 1 million gold and nothing to spend it on. I have the maximum renown and nothing else to spend it on. Zeki's devices use three different currencies. I get tickets from house tours. Now we have to earn essence to buy things. It's crazy.

I have dozens of each room.
I have dozens of all of the yardwork items.

They'll just tell you to spend your gold on Zeki coins. I do this just to keep from hitting cap.

As a result I have dozens of all of the different plushies you can get from those boxes despite the fact that I couldn't care less about them, they all just sit in my storage.
I also have dozens of all the different valley sunrise furniture.
I only have a couple of the seed planters and those singing bowl things. Those are the only items from the coins that I'd actually like to get.

Basically there is very little left to spend my gold on. I've given up hope on that ever changing because they are afraid of making things gold expensive for the sake of the new players.

I can't think of an item having a description that references a real world controversy. It's out of pocket, even for S6. We have some questionable dialogue options, like some saucy and off-putting responses when you talk with Hodari or stuff like that but nothing like this. Like this one is the lake shark description. I expected the Maws to have a Jaws reference. Putting that description with that decor item is just out of pocket. If they simply wanted the shark fins to be a cute decor item not associated with the real life issue, they should've done that.

So I'd like more information, how does saying look at the fin under the water and the Jaws theme words/music in the description (think back to the teaser trailer where the shark is swimming in the pool and we see the fin but not the whole plush), a reference to what is mentioned above?

It's not. It's the Elder Shark Fin Plush description that's being called into question. Just showing the contrast in descriptions between the two fins.

OOof, yeah that REALLY needs to be brought to S6's attention. It's at the LEAST polarizing. The plush fin description needs an edit FAST and a vague apology from S6 for "referencing a cruel practice in an insensitive way."

yeah the saucy and racy jokes/comments definitely walk the edge of what I personally think is okay for the vibe of the game and I've seen others say they think that text goes too far too, but I would also class referring to real world tragedies and controversies differently

Yeah, I admittedly wasn't sure how to explain the reference because-- not that I think it was a "have to censor" but moreso.. I know it can be triggering for some and is overall an uncomfortable topic... it makes me question why it would be fine to have in game, unless it was something that just wasn't thought about or something. i dont know.

Or less light:

I know games such as Terraria have shark fins as drops, but it's from the shark itself and it doesn't even have a tool tip as far as I remember. Then again, Terraria is not quite on the same "cozy" category.

Yeah, i think the plush itself is fine. I mean, it's a cute idea to have on those "ponds" and "water" that some folks glitch and create, right? but it's just.. the tooltip that is making me go
