I sometimes do groves if I'm semi-busy with something irl, but that results in me too often being that person who's afk at the grove and doesn't help chopping...

any1 else have the glitch where they planted trees on their second plot only for them to spawn in on their main plot everytime they need to be watered? or the wood slabs/pathways spawning on both plots even though it was only placed on one plot

The first bug has been around since we've been able to grow trees on our plots and has apparently returned since they had to fix another issue with trees not dropping seeds-- the workaround to this is to not water or move the trees that teleport and hop back to your other plot- they should stick where they belong.

The second one is a newer issue since the last patch. It's now a known issue.

Not sure on that. I haven't been growing trees lately enough to know or test if theyve glitched to my tour plot for tourers. Could be worth someone testing it though!

One point I have is that if people do not call out the grove, everyone is going to have to be lucky to find it. That would pretty much defeat the purpose of groves. Too much ground to cover to go to every location by like 1am. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That's why calling it out is the nice thing to do. If you can't/would rather not for whichever reason, then not doing so is fine too. There are tons of people who have difficulties typing, who don't know english, who simply are in a hurry, whom bigger groups make anxious, who want to play the game and not sit around, etc.

I found grove last night....called it out and not a single person responded. Thinking I might have been only one on the server....luckily there were 3 that were small enough fir me to chop....had to leave the other 2.

Helpful hint on finding the groves without going to every location on the map. The sound is directional. Follow the sound, it leads you to it and you'll find it faster.

Idk if anyone else is aware but you can interrupt the swing animation to chop/mine a little faster. I’ve been able to chop bigger flowtrees but it’s still hard

Right after your axe lands you can swing again. It skips the animation of you drawing back for another swing

It’s slightly faster but it’s noticeable when others are hitting the same thing

I really wish they could add a way to have pre-made messages that people could use/select. Something simple where you can select "Grove" and a coordinate, and it could pop up as 1 singular message for others, and it could be "Grove E4" or something. This way it could also help with language barrier, since it could show up in other ppls languages

Having premade messages like that would be beneficial all-around imo.

There is also an additional accomplishment that will give you tickets and name badges for when you visit 50, 100, and then 1000 homes. The accomplishment is all the way at the bottom of the accomplishment list.

Am I missing an unwritten etiquette rule for the underground prize wheels? I tend to save up my coins a little and usually spend 40 when I use the wheels. I try to go a while after hot pot has closed when people are done rushing the machines, I go to whichever is empty and seems less popular, and if there is a line I wait for my turn. However I know my 20 spins take a bit and I've had people try to shove in front of me a couple times so they could take over. That really annoys me but I'm not sure if they are the rude ones or I am. i was a switch player, I loved this game so much i wanted a to get another laptop. but due to MS i was having trouble using mouse and keyboard controls. I purchased xbox controller and boy it has changed , I dont get booted off, Its like new game. there wa no remapping. I am not knocking switch but its like a different game. Switching from switch to xbox controller, it was easier for me since i never used the keyboard controls. i still use the same usb keyboard i did on switch for typing and such.

Have you tried going back and attempting the puzzle? I thought that post temple puzzle would give you the thing you didn't ask for from Caleri- if you got the bug you can get the minnow and vice versa.

LOL yeah no 12 million people trying to log into Palia at the same time - we've seen those wacky login numbers on and off since I started playing a year ago. Someone here explained the reason it occurred but I just don't remember enough to explain it too. Back in May someone found a twitter post by a former dev touted Palia as a game they worked on saying it had 200k daily logins - but they didn't say 200k unique logins so given how many crashes cause people to log in multiple times and how many times a single player might check into the game over a day for regular gameplay - for me could be 3-10x a day - I don't think it there were even close to 200k people playing each day.

Has the number of player accounts increased from 3 million in March. No doubt. But probably only modest numbers and I'd also be curious to know how many people have stopped playing or only do the occasional check in. After playing this game almost non-stop since I joined at open beta last August, I've finally hit my ending point with the state of game, constant, bugs, poor communication, etc. I loved Palia and still want to do stuff with friends in game, but S6 finally broke my devotion to their game.

Hot pot tables are free for all, if they were meant to have static groups there would be a system in place for that. In addition, many players especially switch players don't have everyone in the area loaded on their screen.

It's best not to assume malice from others and go in knowing there is no guarantee in place to keep the same table the whole time.

The easiest way is to just wait for the weekly reset and visit and react to 15 plots to get 50 tickets, but you can also keep visiting others longer term.

i don't get the decision behind giving the sailor moon outfit footstep effects, but mermaid outfit can't have water footsteps, and succubus outfit can't have fire footsteps (they only show when running from idle; i might be wrong.)

all these outfits are priced the same at most premium and have idle effects, but only gave 1 of them perma footstep particles.

yes, k.k slider in animal crossing since the beginning of the game series all the way back on the old gamecube. he would show up every saturday night either by the fountain, train station, his own nightclub and just play a song that the player either requested by name, allowed the game to decide or based on what mood you wanted. and at the end you got a copy of the song to take home to play in your house

How has palia, suddenly become the popularity game 😥 it saddens me, to see many plots already have thousands of votes, because they have a lot of social media followers/subscribers, All plots should be anonymous, you shouldnt be able to search a plot, and you also should not be able to see other ppls reactions, then it becomes an equal playing field, because my plot and others i've seen are just as good, and also so much better than the empty plots, that are getting thousands of reactions over my 20 😢 My IGN is Ye Olde Slick, go see for yourself and tell me a place like mine should'nt get more than 20 reactions. some of us are playing for the fun and calm community, now it seems its turning into something not so even. i vote for anonymity (rant over)

you submit your plot on the tour event. then have people react "cute" to it 20/100/200 times to get them (1tier/2nd tier/3rd tier).

at the end of the week (irl time) when rewards are sent you can equip it under collections.

as someone that enjoys decorating in this game and I spend way to much doing that, I agree.
Having anonymous votes would be great, and to have the votes reveal to you at the end. also all reaction are just for the nameplate and not my actual opinion of you plot. I would have liked the reactions to represent a sort of rating. like a 1 to 5 opinion of your plot.

no, they are on trending bcs they posted their plots at reset and got lucky that a lot of ppl booted onto their plots first. bcs they were on trending the second they posted, the system is broken anyways, trending shouldn't activate until the idk 5th day of the event

you get nameplates from reactions, and they are different tiers, last tier of nameplates requireing 200 reactions.

also. each reaction will grant you a different style nameplate

I think people are getting so many votes by groups. I was in a group ( no longer in it), that had a list made. If your name was on the list your plot was visited by everyone on the list. So yeah, you would end up with a lot of votes in a big group alone.

i think it would have been better to have all of the nameplates part of an achievement like they did with the coffee cups one. you have to give up to 1k of an emoji to unlock the third tier nameplate. that way people don't feel stressed out about not getting the plate they want or people don't have to be made uncomfortable advertising in a cozy game

It just creates FOMO, Panic... Before the reset, tons of people were panicking & posting their plot info. I genuinely was hoping it still kept the reactions, and this week people wouldn't be as stressed... but :( Alas.

Like feeling like you need to grind 200 reactions for a tier 3 nameplate, in 1 week, is wild to me. :(

yea i get where your coming from especially if you have one finished plot that you aren't really changing around, after a couple weeks it might get a bit boring or uneventful. Mine is a work in progress right now so it's constantly being changed around and i guess that helps make it feel different each week atleast for the time being.

I bet your plot, like many others, has great ideas/designs others have not thought of yet. Before this whole thing I had only been to two plots. One was all just flow trees. That was crazy and fun since I got to help cut them down. And another I went to because the person offered to help cook something I could not cook yet. Her place was amazing, and like the ones I have now visited, while some may not have as many buildings or things, I really like how they put their places together. To me, I have not been brave enough to ask to visit other places. But now I can. Honestly, some of the simplest designs I have really liked due to their layout.

Even if the reacts were accumulated/accumulating on that 1 plot that you have (so you could swap out each week!), i think would be fine. Esp cuz then you could view statistics if you wanted, for those 2 plots, to cmpare the two. To see which one you think might be better, or might have 1 vibe more than the other, ya know? I just think it'd be cute.

as i said, on paper this is like the dream islands of animal crossing. you can tour other people's islands at your leisure, you had a achievement for visiting a certain amount of islands in this fashion. but it was at your pace, if you wanted to do it, great. if you didn't feel up to it, that was fine too. here, it's too much stress. last week, trying to get the starry eyed up to 200 votes, i was completely doing nothing but tours when i was home, three hour stints of just reacting to everyone in the home-reaction channel expecting others to do the same. nope. didn't get the results, so i'm not doing it

i'm currently just doing tours to see shipping bin designs. i've seen a couple and just want to see how others did it before i go all out

The stress is caused by the fact that people want everything the game has to offer. Nameplates are cute sure, but do you need all 3 tears to go and stress over them to get votes? My own personal opinion to that last question no.

I wouldn't mind if that was a thing if you could edit your plot name before you submit it. As in like... on the submit screen, you can edit it specifically for the tour, but you still have it named as what you have it originally for yourself.

So for your view, it'd still be "Your Plot Name", but on Tour it could be like ... " [Wip] Plot Name" (if that makes sense).

also kinda wish that they had a board that visitors can write on saying what they liked about your plot or something like they had in animal crossing, yes i know this will open up for the trolls to troll, but that's what the block feature could be for, or can keep it where certain words are still banned

The weekly reset and votes has been stressful--so many great builds get overlooked because of the hype/rush to get all the nameplates. It reminds me of the first Maji Market's Chapaa Chase game where people were camping at spawn points to get as many chapaas as possible. It just ruined the fun.

Pre-set/Premade phrases could work for this, I think? have some words that people can choose from to give their thoughts, if theyre wanting to avoid people being 'rude' or 'trolls'.

All of the romanceable NPCs can be romanced at the same time, but you can only wear 2 pins at once (the pins are just like a display thing for relationship, they don't do anything expect create unique dialogue when you wear them or take them off)

Not really, no decay, pins only provide some small dialogs and stated situations between npcs when you wear a couple of them at once. And if you "break up" your romance levels are reset but the completed relationship quests are not re-triggerable

You have the option to turn it off, but when you go to turn it on, it'll mention which jukebox it is.

I haven't added my main plot on the tour yet since the pavers situation is all messed up, and also because it's a very full plot so would not exactly be Switch friendly. Instead, I've decided to just submit small weekly builds since I've never done anything like that before, plus it would be Switch-friendly. It's been surprisingly a very fun challenge!

I've been finding a lot of inspirational builds since the touring feature too and have been actively moving things around my main plot (which I really see/find as a long-term project anyway). Like I didn't think I ever wanted to decorate near the sell bin area, but I saw so many cool ideas that I thought OK I'll finally try.

Yeah I actually wanted to make sure the structure wasn't too big and cover the landscaping I had going on, so I just built a very small shrine-like structure behind it. It's supposed to mirror the height and visual of the well that I have on the opposite side.

I also am not very glitch savvy so couldn't get the building block floorings to go under the bin like I've been seeing others do :O

For makeshift fireplaces, or for any other elevated buildings that require steps that aren't the standard rectangular/square looking steps.

The Harvest House entrance has rounded steps, and the actual fireplace also has a round base to it. When I was making a couple of the makeshift fireplaces I had wished I had those to neatly finish the look I was going for.

It takes so many hours to make gold and have a proper house. It's identical to real life, but doesn't pay with actual money 😂

I used to play when the game became available, it was alright then, because we all were low level and didn't need much. Housing tours didn't exist then and many profitable loot or items hadn't been nerfed yet.
Now with those changes and the fact that we have many more things to spend our gold on, the grind is not enough. Not everyone has the time to spend 3-4 hours hunting.
It's my opinion, but many people agree on that.

I'm not sure I agree on that. Maybe before but since they balanced the game to earn similar amounts of gold across skills it has gotten a lot better. I can fish in the underground for 1/2 hour and easily earn 8-10k gold if I cook the fish as well. Each full inventory yields me about 10k. With that and farming and worms I can make decent gold. I think that making it easier for those that play just a few times a day/week would make the game way too easy for those that play a lot. It's really a fine line.

I'm that person that doesn't have enough time to hunt or mine for gold. I do them just for the mates I need to craft things. All the gold I have is mostly from gardening (and products off it) and I never run out of gold, I even buy zeki coins

There were nerfs and then there were buffs and then there were nerfs and then there were buffs. They're just trying to figure out a balance, but I'm pretty sure you can make better gold off multiple things now instead of just relying on the antlers or tomatos like before

Also I feel like playing for just half an hour to an hour a day is enough, granted I have played pretty much since the beginning so I'm not short on much, but I don't tend to play for hours and hours at once

There is so many things to consider. Days for harvest, seed yield, farm space taken, price for crops, seeds, preserves. Sounds more fun to do than actually grind in game.
Gardening is one of the main aspects which keeps me in the game to be honest. That and cooking.

Strictly quest related, you can get a dog plush by completing Tau's level 4 relationship quest, and an ormuu plush by completing Hekla's level 4 relationship quest.

No, these are friendship quests upon reaching certain levels.

For each friendship level up, each NPC has their own quest and reward. Levels 4 and 5 in particular tend to give very nice rewards, with things that can be placed on your plot.

You could argue that friendship levels require a fair amount of grinding, but progression can be built slowly over time (or quickly if you give their weekly wants).

Some of us do a lot of reading in here and chat with people and then compile what we're seeing and send it off to S6, but that's just done like regular feedback that anyone here can do. Shepps were more of a prominent thing when the community was smaller, but our basic goals were:

• Try to help and answer questions
• Be kind
• Help people feel welcome.

We still try to do that, but it's rough with 336,000 people skittering around. It definitely helps that so many other people in the server pitch in to do the same thing. If you ask me, they might as well be Shepps, since that's the whole idea.

That is wat I found "flawed" in the tours, the fact that there is nothing to separate the builds. when submitting a plot there should have been some check marks like work in progress, finished house, item capped, beginner home, and stuff like that, and all these would go into they're own tabs for people to search. also stuff like forest, fantasy, tech, temple, obstacle run. stuff like these would also be nice tags to eventually be searched.

and the search bar should be for tags not player based. you search a word like forest and you get a bunch of forests plots.

I would like a change to be to give a little description of your plot and disable the reactions. Otherwise it is just easier to go and pick random people to see. If I could read a short description that might make it more enticing for me to visit your plot

The entire house tours thing has been extremely poorly implemented.

They made a "trending" and "latest" page for some reason despite the fact that they've incentivized visiting and rating just for the sake of doing them, regardless of how much you actually like the plot or not. It's resulted in a ton of basic, empty, minimal-effort plots being highly rated.

It's so bizarre to me that they commit halfway to having some form of competition in the game, but are then too scared of hurting feelings to include ANY kind of "negative" reaction. Hell, you could have a "meh" one.

If there's an incentive to visit and rate X amount of plots each week, every plot you visit should be random. Enough of the forum campaigning or getting your friends list / neighborhood to artificially bump up numbers.

i will always believe and advocate that all tiered nameplates should have been tied to achievements like the coffee cup one. not necessarily the tour tickets but it would be based on how many reactions you give not get in return. this way you can take your time at a leisurely pace instead of being stressed about not getting the emoji you want at the end of the week only to have to restart all over again the following (which is absolutely stupid)

i've stopped doing them, i'm not advertising. i'll still put my plot up, since it updates along side what you are doing, and i want to see how many votes i get next week

last week when i was playing after taking a break from the game, the tours would be practically all i did, just go down a list, checking of the plots that i went to... for hours that's all i did not even actually playing the game. it wasn't much fun to be honest

Well, Palia has always basically expected you to make your own fun. There's not enough worthwhile or meaningful goals to work towards so it's just kind of... Log in and goof around for a bit before you get bored.

I'm also very torn on seeing how people use bugs and glitches to decorate. Like... It's cool to see the creativity but I wish S6 would just make those things naturally possible so the average person can do them as well.

yeah, i would love to have some of those kitchen and bookshelf designs that i see so often in the decor channel, but you'd need a second person to help with it. i would totally be down for it to be where you can either do those things naturally or even craft things together (by using the furniture as part of the recipe)

and switch doesn't do the glitches very well at all

Thinking how to say this delicately but... I love our Switch friends, and I understand the reach they were aiming for by releasing on the Switch... But it's such old hardware and it really put a cap on what they can do with the game, because they have to keep those Switch players in mind when adding / creating things to make sure the game will still run properly.

I'm hoping when the Switch 2 comes out they'll be able to update for that. We'll see if the game is still around at that point, though.

They keep pushing it back I believe. No hard release date yet, but probably in 2025.

I agree. I'm glad more players have access to Palia through Switch, but my dislike of the S6 decision to release Palia on Switch is solely about Switch's hardware limitations and Nintendo's requirements for patch certifications both have had a significant detrimental effect on Palia's playability, stability, and honestly its future. I believe the decision to release Palia on Switch in Dec 23 was either a fever dream fantasy that it would bring in enough players/money to pull them out of financial trouble or it was to make Palia more attractive (larger player base) to potential buyers. But ultimately for game health I think it was a bad decision on S6's part to strap Palia down by such outdated hardware and how poorly the reverse engineering has gone to make Palia work for Switch.

Was playing on the switch this morning even though I'm regularly a PC player, and dang the quality drop on the switch is nuts. Sifuu looks like a dang poorly drawn cartoon on there and I regularly got a glitch text saying "TEXT NOT LOADED PROPERLY" or something like that when I speak to her

Delayed response, but this. i wish you could clip things easier than having to use glitches of some kind. i just wish i had more control over it in general. i dont even know how some ppl use some of them (except for a red present apparently? Which i dont even have cuz i wasn't playing during that time). And sometimes those are just a hassle anyways...

I just wish they were actually in the game... doesn't help that some of the promo images that S6 uses, they clearly use glitches of some kind or stuff that just isn't possible. and it's upsetting a little tbh. :(

They've had a few times in the past where exclusive ones popped up-- like linking to switch or something, but those are no longer available.

Some of the original feedback I gave waaaaay back in early testing was to just get rid of the "can't put this here due to collision" garbage.

Like it's nice to have the grid to snap to but let people turn it off. If someone wants to put their plant in a wall... Let them.

yeah, that's another thing i don't like. everything should have an equal chance on the prize wheels. star ingredients are debatable as to how good they are, seeing as most people already have their preferred food for focus when they get to a certain level, the fireworks are absolute garbage as i have never seen them actually be used, the gold bag is only, what? 100 gold? which is practically nothing.

The plushies connected to hunting have decimated hunting as an option for newer players and solo hunters. The groups are almost always pre-formed and will completely wipe server instances of resources in Bahari, making it very difficult for anyone not in the one or two parties working together to get anything unless they are playing at off-peak hours.

This latest updated has really solidified how I will continue to play Palia if I do. With the over-flourish "bug" for party rewards at release which was a specific animation that is gone so likely was intended (I am epileptic), to the drop-rates, to the over-saturation of more soft-looking designs in clothing and drops, I will likely just play solo or actively find new users on a server and offer them help starting up. Luckily I haven't been logged into an instance where hotpot was vicious but those have been some nasty reports

Yeah, when I saw that was a thing, I had to immediately let you know and tell you. Just like anything that pops up that seems way over the top or flashing.

I still just want a toggle-option to turn off animations that are flashy like that. Tied to outfits, specific animations while gardening, looting, etc... it's just. a lot.

I've seen FFXIV housing used in wild and creative ways (sometimes...a bit too wild LMAO) and I'd love to see Palia do the same but there needs to be like, more that incentivizes that, whether it be community systems or interactive furniture or what have you

I am actively trying to get 25 machiens to be able to do a server-wide arcade tournament (but I also think the machine is bugging out in the Underground right now)

I think if they release the hotpot as a furniture item for plots, it could easily be connected to another Maiji Market, just let people know that this could be a reward

I got all the nameplates I unlocked with the votes last week (just the base levels because I wasn't luckily enough to be "trending" (although some of those plots were gorgeous, way too many were baren)

I personally feel that if you hit the trending list (or even not hitting it) once you get enough for the nameplates you shouldnt be able to get more votes since all that does is make it so only the lucky few get anything
