a few(like 3-4) hrs of hunting can yield u over 100k with gardening passively during these 4 hrs even more

How in the world are you making 100k passively? I have 4 blue berry bushes, annd Im about to have two apple trees. I make the berries into jam and sell the apple tree seeds, then I sell tomato seeds. Everything I sell is starred aside from some tomato seeds. I even sell my glowworms, weeds, gems. I have never gotten close to 10k with all my machines running in 4 hrs. I have very little time to play that 3-4 hours of doing anything is to much. If I gotta catch bugs for that long just to make decent gold then my time is wasted. That's just how I feel about it though. If I didn't work I 100% would not be complaining right now. But here I am, complainging 😂

Ohhhh I thought you meant passively gardening gets you that much. I can't play during the week. It's really only sundays I get to do anything for myself, and even then I have to do other things for myself before I can just be on my computer. I really only get a few hours on sunday and then sometimes saturday if I don't have other things I gotta do that didn't get to get done during the week. Big sad but oh well. I really enjoy this game, it just feels like way to much to do and all I wanna do is decorate 🥴

Hello guys I have a question about this game. I'm new to it and I really enjoyed it and grinded for few days with thoughts of being able to play with friends later. Until gf asked if we can have a plot together im like surely! Then I saw a lot of posts about not being able to do that and many more things basically talking about how limited the playing together is which was a shocker. Question is.. Do you guys think something like that could be there in the future? Like trading, sharing plots, proper communities (guilds) not small, community plots etc?

Or has it been somewhere stated the game will never take that turn

I felt the same way when I first started playing. "how in the world will I ever have enough gold" It just takes time. If they made it really easy then people would end up at the end game too quickly. Once you stop playing it's hit or miss if you will come back. The gazebo unlocks after you buy three additional lots over the three they give you for free. Just do what you enjoy and slowly you'll get enough gold to buy everything.

That's the fun of being in Beta. You get to see it evolve. At the start of open beta we hardly had anything. The game really has come a long way since August.

Well you can play together. Mine, fish, hunt, bug hunt. You can help decorate each others lots by giving editor rights. The only thing you really can't do now is put your things on someone else's plot. I play with a friend of mine and we voice and hunt together. We have a blast.

Yeah, I feel like they spent a lot of time on some things i.e. the Koi pond and large fountain and 10 minutes on others. All the items in the guild store should have some type of animation I feel. Also I sent in feedback that having those reset anytime you leave your plot is counterproductive to displaying the items.

Sadly no easy delete. Depending on how you play, you can make a new account and use palia launcher. If you wish to use steam or switch you would have to contact support to unlink. But with switch you can just make a new profile and use that

Hello everyone! I've recently started playing Palia, and loving it so so much. I've played the very first closed alpha, as well as the second alpha. It's so great to see the game thrive!
I was wondering, is there any sort of roadmap, similarly to what The Sims 4 puts out? I've looked for something like that for Palia, but so far nothing.

I've looked through a Steam forum, many people weren't fond of having mounts, arguing that the map isnt big enough to warrant mounts.
But I personally would love love love to take care of horses or any other mounts they could possibly bring into the game.

I think a trading system is fine as long as the devs make the economy make sense. Like you can only trade epic -> epic and legendary -> legendary. So If someone needs an amethyst, they can get one by trading a unicorn fish and vice-versa.

I think they need to fix the RNG first. When someone has 200 plushies and others have none or one something isn't right. I can see being lucky but to be that lucky? The system is broken.

Can't argue with you there. I think people figured out if they just say "sorry, I can't/didn't see you" then they can get away with it. You can see above the table if there is a spot open.

I know how to play im just curious to see what everyone was going for. And it annoys me you dont have time to look at it or loose your spot, the whole feature seems pointless.
Also when we played at Maji Market it mattered what combo's everyone got cause 3 x same card was worth more. Now with the wheel coins it doesnt matter much how you win or even if you win, just play fast to get as much coins as possible.
And another thing i play on Switch and Switch is very slow loading the game. Spamming the A button is slower then spamming the f button on pc. This also gives Switch players a disadvantage at keeping their spot.

I think a big part of the free vs paid content also just comes down to WHEN you were last playing MMO’s. I grew up in the age of the free to play Korean MMO’s like Ragnarok Online and DOMO and FLYFF and those always had very limited appearances outside of the cash shop so its all pretty normal to me.

Nowadays it’s a lot more battlepass to get 1 or 2 free things and then pony up cash for the full set.
My real issue with the cash shop is HOW expensive the sets are and how we can’t buy them piecemeal.

I remember back in the day for some free MMO you’d buy a license for a premium clothing set and it only lasted 30 days…

A lot of other games also have a way to earn a small amount of premium currency. Usually by playing consistently. When I played Paladins, you got an alternate skin by leveling up characters, a golden one when you hit a really high level to show people: look, i play this character a ton.

in my experience with playing games Daybreak has acquired, they like to buy flagging MMO's on life support and pump them with microtransactions. I don't know what they can do for Palia since it's technically still in beta and not like their other games, but I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see things like memberships for in game perks, more inventory space for real money, and potentially VIP areas. They've bought Everquest 1 & 2, Lord of the Rings Online, and DCUniverse Online, among others

Still quite new and trying to get the full picture here, so I tried browsing this server's discussions to get context. I may have missed some things, so anyone can chime in on this, but I see the "broken promises" sentiment referring to at least two things:

• S6 saying they were going to look into a certain bug/issue, then not saying anything about it for a long time (I'm a bit mixed on this one. Because yes, that is concerning, but makes more sense in the context of industry-wide layoffs and company struggles that seem to have occurred)

• Asking for feedback early on, then proceeding to basically ignore it, particularly for accessibility features (Agreed that this seems pretty egregious)

As for the acquisition by Daybreak, I don't have enough info to say more than: They clearly needed the help, but I'm uncertain what direction they will take the game

1. They said they would only be doing cosmetics, so that you knew when you went a housing plot everything there was earned.
2. They wanted to avoid FOMO, but they've begun weaponizing it to get people to log in, make purchases, or play on different platforms by tying "exclusive" items to those things.

Then there's also still issues with the way they advertise themselves. Obviously this is an incomplete game, but they have made every effort to scrub "beta" from their website. The tag isn't on Switch, and they deliberately chose not to disclose Palia as early access on Steam.

Yes, technically still in beta but as part of the accquistion annoucement they indicated they were moving towards 1.0 and while they didn't give us any time frame I got the impression it was heading to sooner rather and not a year or more from now (I'm guessing Q4 2024). I'm betting on 1.0 will bring the
release of Elderwoods and whatever new monetization plans they have in the works. We'll see changes before that, but I believe 1.0 and major new content will bring some of the things you suggest like a battlepass or sub. I hadn't thought about them charging for more storage space, but yes, I could see them monetizing storage. I've seen other games do it.

Because the community was very upset with the lack of communication between the devs and the community, receiving very little info. I was surprised to learn it's not the thing with Palia. I agree with the sentiment of concern here, but there's a few details I'm fuzzy on, in terms of them not following their own statements on monetization:

1. Are plot layouts not considered cosmetic? That seems to be a thing people are criticizing, but I can't see how that's much different from the premium clothing and pet options (separate from issues like not being able to pick individual items for cheaper or having more f2p options, both which I agree should be added)

2. Are they starting to suggest that limited time items, like the Twitch stream ones, will never, ever be re-run? Reading the blog post seems to imply they will eventually return. Either way, if they're being pushy about it, that's not very great.

don't get me wrong, please. i love palia, it's my third highest played game i have on the switch at 2,520 hours, trailing animal crossing and minecraft (both over 5,000 hours). i want this game to succeed, i want this game to be the amazing, gorgeous pearl hidden in the oyster that i can see. but, things need to change, they need to be transparent about what is happening with the game. i don't need them to tell me what the story is going to be, i don't need them to tell me what new creatures or minerals or furniture sets that are in the works. but i would love to have a "hey, just a heads up, we may have to go back on what we previously promised/not promised due to x problems" and let me decide now if i want to keep investing in the product (which i do)

i think the biggest gripe people have is that there are no "free" options for those things. when they announced pets, for example, people went crazy about them, everybody wanted pets, but comes to find out that they were "gifts" for purchasing palia coins and there are no options for people who were on the fence about giving money to the game at such an early development or for those who simply couldn't afford it (5 dollars to someone who maybe currently unemployed for example with a family can be a meal, and i'm speaking from experience as i was unemployed for nearly 5 months)

I've gone to reddit for a couple of videos of where people have had luck finding fish/bugs that are rare. because i had problems finding centipedes until someone on Reddit showed me a spot in bahari that isn't marked on the wiki for those centipedes and was able to go from getting none to 11 in an hour.

I feel like any thing I've had a hard time finding, as long as I've reached out to other players about it they've been pretty helpful about pointing me in the right direction or even marking their maps of where they found those things.

Currently we get an update roughly once a month though we don't know what to expect in the next one yet.
Lore talks about a place called the Elderwoods so there's hope that that will be added as a location at some point and they have been drip feeding the lvl 5 quests of NPCs so we still have some more of those to come.
Nothing specific mentioned as to when though.

The game is lovely, the vibe imaculate, the fact it autologs you into an account if you use steam and auto inputs the email for Pc AND the site also auto logs you in is less and conveniant. Especially because my friend and I share a computer and a name (became friend because we have the same uncommon name). Maybe it's an us specific issue, but having my friend submit a ticket to reset his character while on my account was terrifying for the second it took me to remember Palia has a half year long cooldown on resetting characters anyways. I can't imagine it would be a great situation for people with family members who also play and use the same computer either tho.

Oh god above I just realized what the problem is. The Palia site auto signs into my account every time, my friend can no longer access his account. What an absolute nightmare, what are people who share a computer supposed to do? This is a horrible thing to have on a site, why would they do that?

the website? not sure what you mean, the website doesn't log me in automatically and you can log out. do you log in on the website via steam maybe? can't you just use an incognito window or a different browser?

sharing computers shouldn't be a problem if you have different user accounts tbh. if you play on steam you should have separate steam accounts

Oh you can log out, but any time the sign in button is pressed it just zips on to my account. And the moment he goes to the support ticket it automatically opens one in my acount. We did manage to get onto his account at one point through a lot of messing around, but the moment a we clicked 'player support' it just went back to mine. And no, once Palia is installed via steam to a device it will only open to that account, unless we wipe everything a redownload it from the other's steam any time we want to play. The Pc app at least lets us log in to out own accounts. But honestly it's just bad design that this is even a problem. For a game that values the safety of it's players it sure is making it very easy to mess with other people's accounts.

It just seems like an odd thing to have, and not very safe to be honest. I mean I guess we could see about logging him in on another browser of incognito, but that shouldn't even be a thing that needs to happen. My friend and I play the game to relax and unwind. And now i have a new fear, because any of my nieces or nephews could mess with my account any time they come over because it auto logs into my account. It's a huge oversight and I can see it potentially causing problems as the game gets bigger.

May need to use a private or incognito browser. Sounds like the site is caching the login details which is why it automatically signs you in.

Huh, is it automatically checked because I didn't check any box that wasn't the agreement to the privacy rules every site has. As a rule we never check 'keep me logged in' boxes for the reason that we share the computer. If so that's no very handy.

oh i see... you were talking about the support website from the beginning. i thought you meant the main palia website. yeah the support website seems to log you back in automatically which is indeed quite weird. but clearing cookies/cache for that site, using an incognito window or using a different browser would all work

i would've thought it wouldn't do that as long as you have separate PC user accounts, browser logins and stuff should be completely separate

You can also try creating a separate login for the computer itself so you don’t have to worry about your friend not being able to access their account 🤗

Every time I go to support, even though I'm allready signed in it still asks me my email. We have 2 account in the household and we both use the website and support each with it's own account.

The switch part, we don't have 2 switch accounts, but I log on mine from switch and the other from the launcher (I basically have 2 palias installed on my pc 😅) and no you can't play both at the same time even though they are installed in separate folders.

So idk. Maybe it's a browser thing. I use Opera.

But I do agree there should be more options to switch accounts on steam, or even let us create alts (2nd character) on same account.

Thanks. I should have done it the first time I saw them doing it. But I hoped they would stop or get bored with it. It really upset me that they typed in a speech impediment. Like they were trying to attach stigma they believed in with the condition. It made really angry. I had to just log out and forget my plans to work on my fishing collection.

It's stigmatization stress. The way to stop stigmas is to educate, share facts and experiences. That is listed on US gov websites as a solution to help combat the issue. Well, if you do that, the better than thous of the internet decide to attach a stigma against combating stigmas, calling it gate-keeping.

I don't know the commands for switch. But there is a search bar, and you search your friends name and add to friends. Your friend needs to accept the friend request. And then even if not in a party the game will most likely put you on same server just because you are friends. And you can also server sink if it doesn't.

Okay so calling out to people who have a good grip on the RNG mechanism of this game. I was confused about the ore compasses, because I would be finding silver and gold in med-small nodes that the compass wasn’t pointing to, and same with gems. Someone mentioned that it’s likely bc those are RNG and aren’t actually IN the nodes for the compass to find. So I guess the compass just points you to large nodes and pal. But that seems so pointless to me 😭 I was using them trying to FIND the rare ore and gems. Is that a mechanism that just isn’t possible bc of the way the RNG is set up? Bc I’m using a compass only to run right by the literal rare ore bc it’s not pointing to it. That just made me angy lmao

Pets are acquired by real money in game purchases. The palcats (4 colors) are from buying a certain dollar amount of anything in the store (first one with any purchase, others with any above a certain amount of palcoins), and the flutterfoxes and drake dragons are purchasable individually. The only actual dog in game is a plumehound of Hassians, it's actually an NPC itself named Tau

Hmm I’m confused on what you mean. They change weekly, you have to ask them what they want and they’ll tell you in game day depending on your level of friendship. If you look up “palia weekly wants” it will list them out weekly for you

Has anyone on switch turned off cinematic cooking? If so do you crash less? I’m getting so tired of making most of a recipe and then it freezing and losing all those ingredients

freeze not crash* it just stops working and the chopping bar keeps running but doesn’t respond. Nothing responds 😭 it’s like every single time I try to cook. If I cook 3 recipes, one is gonna freeze

I love fashion shows in Palia. But you can get creative with the outfits that are free also. Just looking around in game I see mixtures of colors, etc. I know it can be sad to see an outfit you like that costs money but I do think the ones they have work also.

Sigh grass growing through the stones is mildly infuriating

I found a way to make them stop doing that
I didn't test it out properly but basically you have to spot making them snap to each other, because that when the grass goes through them.

Take out the ones that have grass in them, place it next to your path, place a gourmet soup bowl on it. Group select the bowl, and move it to back to it's place.

The grass should theoretically stop going through because it's not linked to other sones.

No put stone down, put bowl on top, move with group select alt on pc, then pick up the bowl so you can do the next sone

Okay, so, with the pavers, if I happen to have multiple stones connected to each other while selecting, the bowl method doesnt seem to work too well. But with a singular stone, it seems to work like a charm. I will try to place extra cutlery on top, see if it helps

Yeah you have to do 1 at the time, not the entire group.

Extra cutlery doesn't help either 😂. The soup bowl works like a glitch. You can use it on furniture as well to get it closer to walls or merge.

Yeah it;s something that's grinding my gears, when it selects a group instead of a singular item, and I don't see a way around it other than picking the group apart. Annoying

Yep I tried with an extra dessert plate, it's not loving it But it till works with the bowl method! I am guessing it doesnt really matter what dish you put on top

it's just a visual bug. the game seems to mistakenly put someone else's name above your head but as far as i can tell, everyone else still sees your actual name. you can try closing and restarting the game and it may fix it

because it's quicker/more convenient and there's no collision so it doesn't really affect other people. but sometimes people can't see you and don't even know they're running through you - especially if they're on switch sometimes people's avatars won't load in properly

Yeah. I'd feel more confident in the update schedule if they weren't aiming to release this year. They have to make a Playstation and Xbox port since they planning on releasing it on all major consoles. But a slower update schedule or (god forbid) no updates until 1.0 would lose a lot of players.
