Actually it works like that, if the count of chapas appears in the screen while you are close by, then you will be counted as a countestant. I actually do that on purpose, there is one round of hot pot that I leave the table for a couple is seconds just to get the count on the screen then go back to the table. Middle game you earn the envelopes os the group catching total of the chapas.

basically after you mine a node, look around for the respawn. I don't know yet if they follow some spawning strategy or if it's totally random, but I had palium chain respawn next to what I just mined a couple times

yea i had that happen once when i had 3 large spawn next to me but i figure no one was mining and that was why lol

keep in mind tho the game will DEspawn nodes after a while so even when there's no one else mining other nodes, your "mind map" of occupied node spots needs to be constantly refreshed

and yes, it despawns palium too

another tip is to stick to one side of the wall, and if you see zero palium nodes on your side then go to the other for a while.
been using these strats ever since they nerfed it and I have so much now that I feel like sharing them with others

tho they'll probably change it again if enough people depart from the "hit every node" thing

Why is it that, sometimes, when I log out, say, in a little hidey-hole in Bahari, I log back in to find myself at the fast travel board in Kilima, and other times, I'll find myself wherever I was?

It's a mystery. Seems like if the server can't place you in your last location for some reason, it reverts you to one of the predefined "safe" spawning spots

oh i never heard of the nodes despawning, i know that all nodes spawn go into a queue to respawn in the order they were previously mined if that makes sense and they have some sort of timer it seems, except palium it instantly respawns in the next available node spot, never seen a node despawn though 👀

I’ve found logging out while standing on the base layer of ground helps. When I log out on cliff sides or standing on a bridge sometimes I relog back to the travel board

How can they get mad about a bug they made I’m confused I didn’t realize the fireworks were bugged for coins so I kept buying them thinking it was the easiest way to get wheel coins. Am I gonna get in trouble now what 😂

Last time, the drop campaign started later than the posted time (so don't worry if it does the same this time), but the rewards just require you have a drops-enabled Palia stream going and so it shouldn't matter if you're on a phone. You will need to link your Palia account to your Twitch account in order to get treats, which you should be able to do through the Palia website.

The rewards do have to be claimed manually, one at a time, and then after you do that on Twitch they should show up in-game. Some people reported that claiming things all at once can sometimes break the delivery of the items and others observed that it took hours for some of the prizes to arrive, but they did eventually get there.

if you do it that way, keep in mind that your layout is gonna lean towards the watering plants (tomato, potato, napa cabbage) so you plan around that and all of the larger crops (apple, blueberry, pepper), and then everything else is flex slots that don't matter what you put in them unless you are aiming to maximize other buff coverage as much as possible

the other thing to keep in mind is that all watering plants have to be paired with another watering plant

with those conditions, your options narrow down a bit

basically every layout is flexible to some degree. you can swap plants which have the same boosts without affecting anything - wheat, rice and corn all have harvest boost so are interchangeable; same for tomatoes, potatoes and napa cabbage, etc. generally i won't touch any of the plants with water retain, and just swap out the other ones. like if i need carrots, i'll replace all my rice with carrots for one harvest.

tbh i don't think this is any more effective than just wandering around at random. it was obviously made for the way palium used to spawn in specific places. that's why the palium icons are in specific places, you'd just run between them all.

That map is from when Palium only spawned in certain areas (where you see the little icons). Palium can spawn in many more places and rarely if at all spawns in those old locations.

I almost never see Palium in those locations. I guess they are clusters of rock, but I think a more modern map would be best to just make the best path to as much veins as frequently as possible

Yeah palium spawns anywhere where Iron spawns, so just clear out nodes when you see them and try to make it back to check for the respawn which I have no clue how long that is

Is anyone else a bit annoyed that the housing plot achievement is just a grind? I’m trying really hard not to be super negative and picky, but I’m so frustrated by how little direction there is for so many of the achievements.
Plus, I feel like I’m not really getting anything for my achievements. If I could sell the junk furniture I had to make to level up that skill (even for a nominal amount) I’d be less irked, but instead I either have it cluttering up my storage, sitting around my yard, or just destroying it. If I could make clothes and gear from the animals I hunt or the stuff I forage, that would make the game way more fun.
I just want a game that feels like it wants to be played rather than a game that challenges you to like it.
Anyway I promise there are things I like about the game, I’m just frustrated right now…

This entire game is a grind to nothing.
It's like.. a cozy grind, as in.. there's no fear of falling behind. So people who have been grinding for decade or more in MMOs, can do what we do best - just now it's stress free! 😄 XD

Tho joking aside, there's room for a lot of improvement - in communication (quests, achievements and whatnot not being clear). And storage. and the furniture. And the upgrades to making clothes and whatnot. So I feel you.

Oh! I was typing about not placing it on the bench, stool or sofa. Typing that you place it atop of an object that is level with it, and then overlapping it with the sofa, stool or bench. The clipping bit can be finicky and time consuming to get even the simplest of collaborations done.

But if you want to see them riot in the streets, lock content behind a Wait Wall. You can have this thing for $20 makes people rage, but tell them "You can only have this thing after you've played the game for 40 hours and no, you can't change your system clock to get it now." and there will be bloodshed.

It's just the very sad state of the human condition. Patience is pretty much non-existent. Concepts like "work first, receive pay after" is alien, and actually having to DO work... forget it. That's beneeth people these days. Fortunately, Majiri don't suffer that problem, hence why their society survived while humans died out.

Something similar to a Supreme Bomb in that you can only make one at a time, made with rare ingredients, but that if used on any regular quality bug that ultimately gets caught its quality becomes star quality. There are all ready many ingredients claimed by Tamala and Chayne to be medicinal or useful, tamala literally has a cauldron, the mixing and stirring animations in cooking could be reused for mortar and pestling ingredients, or stirring a cauldron.

Animal husbandry, though heavily implied by the Daiya's and especially by Delila and Naio, would mean creating animations for animals, and rendering models for animals we havent even seen before, as well as eating animations, catching. breeding methods etc

tbh i think that's gonna be tough. it seems like half the playerbase wants it to be more multiplayer-based, and half the playerbase hates the multiplayer stuff and complains that they can't do everything solo. a lot of people seem to feel it's not "cozy" if they are forced to cooperate and share resources with others. at the moment the devs seem to be trying to satisfy both camps to some degree.

I do like the current multiplayer aspects, but others have made the game feel weirdly difficult? the other night i went to fish next to some other players and they legit ran off away from me, like, did they not want the fishing with friends boost?
i've also waited around a flow tree for over 5 minutes waiting to see if people will or wont show up ;w; and ended up having to abandon it because no one was coming even after all that time (maybe would've been easier if i had flares but i havent unlocked them yet ;;)

it feels like the current multiplayer stuff is trickier because i think people either dont pay attention to chat, feel awkward interacting with strangers, or are busy doing other things in the map that make the co-op aspects just a bit harder to pull off

I mean in the sense of implementing features and minigames and the like that you can play with other people and promote social activity that way, rather than isolating players' work and achievements entirely to the boundaries of their housing plot that no one else will ever see unless you go to the trouble of friending everyone you want to invite, etc

Give communities a use beyond "lol a chat channel" (community housing plot that everyone can help build on when?), improve the party feature, fix that thing where people from different regions can't play with each other, etc etc etc.

honestly i would love if communities had something like a "guild house", could even have a communal chest to store items for the community instead of just pulling from personal storage or bringing items with from your inventory!
It could also alleviate the "i have this resource my friend needs, but i cant see their request" or "i need this resource my friends have, but im out of requests for the day" issues

you want to be able to cooperate and share resources with, at minimum, your friends, help each other work towards goals, but when you have to do effectively everything by yourself.... that's what makes it feel like a single player game to me tbh

yeah... i don't think a trade system is going to happen tbh, at least not without major restrictions. to me the request system seems like a very deliberate attempt to severely restrict item transfers between players, probably because they're concerned players won't stick around if it's too easy to get items from other people instead of grinding it themselves

Heck if the community plot idea was added you could have a community plot exclusive "crafter" that's a trading table of sorts, that way both players would need to go out of their way to go to that table (after it's been made by whoever in the community) to trade items
could also add a cool-down ontop of it, so it'd be an option but not too easily to get ahead purely by other players

i will say, the sushi glitch is what made me stop playing for the first time, because at the time i didn't realize it was a glitch and the over 200 glow worms, constantly using cakes to make more (back before the rebalance 😭 could've gotten so much more gold) made my wrist physically ache

i still havent gotten the recipe yet either tbh
some of these rare+ things can be super time intensive, if they even spawn at all while you're trying to grind for them?? like im missing 3 star bugs, and thats all pure rng at this point, and even after spending 3 honey lures the one i was hunting for didn't even spawn (and it's an uncommon!)
i personally think some way to like, increase your odds for RNG would be neat?? even if it's like a temp buff that's hard to craft ;3; it'd make grinding for certain things so much easier, and could help keep players playing

the tracking items do make grinding for certain things easier, but it can also just lead to more frustraition if the thing you're trying to track just does not show up at all for you
or if the tracking item wouldn't even cover it to begin with (like with fishing, the item for that only tracks the jumping spots)

most MMOs I've played, f2p or not, thrive most when players are able to 'create their own content'.
Players will inevitably burn through dev-created content faster than devs can create it. The solution isn't to make the dev-created content grindier and more time-consuming (read: s6 nerfing everything all the time to prevent players from being able to earn gold too fast) but to provide people with tools they need to create their own fun in the game too, so they still have something to do even after they've accomplished many of the dev-designed goals.

Palia lacks that, there's no real way for people to host their own player-run contests, meetups, etc etc effectively right now. Even just getting into the same shard/instance with particular people can be a huge hassle at times.

yeah. i actually took a break from the game for a couple of months, partly because i was so frustrated about the achievement blackout bug and the fishing RNG. i always kinda wished there was a fishing equivalent of flow groves, like a big fishing node that boosts the chance of rare/epic fish especially when more people are fishing there

Palia can crank up both the CPU and GPU though it seems to have gotten a bit better since I started playing on my new laptop back in October. Most times my CPU is hotter than my GPU. I actually have done similar kinds of things in mods I have made over the many years - in Tail of the Soulthief, for Skyrim: Jobs, for example you had to construct a diorama of a small town first. Later, after it was built, you had to find an old tome and a number of other items, and essentially built a "door" that would lead you to a new town you haven't seen before, that is also terribly familiar - as you transport yourself into the diorama you built. Then you get to find the various parts of The Soulthief, reassemble them, and restore The Soulthief as a fully functional NPC, who would then give you more things to do, and could fashion Soul Trap arrows for you from broken soulgem pieces and daedric arrows.

The trick to Proudhorns though, if solo, is to approach as close as you can from the front. Fire and draw the next shot. They'll nearly always 180 to run, which lets you pepper them from behind until they turn left or right. Then it's just a matter of landing good shots at range and down they go. Took down 11 yesterday, only got 2 sets of antlers though.

In a pair, they're pretty much cake - lead fires from the front, just as above, other person waits until it's running towards them and takes the next shot, rinse and repeat, and you run them to death between you like 90% of the time.

spotted mantis (rare) and duskwing butterfly (uncommon)- both spawn at maji's hollow. their official rarities are kind of misleading. because they only spawn in that small area they can be pretty tough to find

Guess it depends on RNG's mood. Took me forever to get a duskwing butterfly. Not only did I have the spoted mantis before the duskwing, I had all the epic bugs.

Using a honey lure to catch a duskwing is probably one of the best uses of a honey lure. Not only do they usually respond to a honey lure (location and time matter) but also might get the spotted mantis as well

it's because all hair share the same skeleton with only 2 bones: a neck attach and a hat attach

it's very annoying when posing characters in blender, I have to basically mesh deform or move vertices manually
