Wanted to get thoughts on totally new type of cooking party competition idea. Idea is a cooking competition with say 2 groups (teams) of say 4 people in a party, with two host who will start an unknown recipe to the groups. Each group would have one attempt to finish the dish without burning it. Do this for say 10 rounds of just random recipes started. In the end the group with the least amount of burned food, would win say a plushie or could put in request for a high gold item(s) Sort of like a palia hells kitchen. Think it would be interested?

this sounds fun! my only concern is what if people don’t burn any of the food at all? and do the recipes get to be anything or do they have ti be the highest tier of difficulty? i think this would work best if u hid all the recipe ingredients in locked chests and they had to go grab what they need from the chest before they start the recipe + they need to complete like 5 starred versions of different foods to be displayed and whoever is done first wins maybe? im not sure—seems like a very cool idea!

With cooking , you don't have to bring items with you, I don't know why people do unless they want to keep count. I show up to parties with nothing on me, it all gets pulled from my storage chest. One hiccup I see is keep two teams seperated in cooking, I wonder how far apart and could two different reciped be started on one plot at the same time, giving each team same recipes but at different interverls.

I suppose to overcome that, could always have teams take turns in cooking, and the team not being prepared ahead of time and missing ingrediants would be part of the challenge. The 4 person team would have to be prepared and their ability to communicate would play a factor in a successful outcome.

I like the idea, I think the thought is there but needs work. as an example if I was in attendance I could complete almost any dish with my own ingredients on my own before it burned. Even some of the hardest dishes. Maybe time based? A list of all dishes are given at the start. Whoever completes them fastest would win? You can’t control star quality because that’s just RNG all dishes could star for one group the other maybe none would.

i think you could have people lock their own stored ingredients away first, or have people sell them if they need to and are okay with that (for the love of the game!)? im really not sure, just adding some thoughts :3 i do think the starred idea should be thrown out completely lol. too much rng is never good for a game, but a little bit is nice, adds replayability flavor.

While I like the thought process, for myself (and I assume others) that just wouldn’t work. I host my own and do tons of cooking parties each week. I have over 3000 ingredients stashed. 100’s of veggies/fruits to be able to join any party at any moment kinda thing. I would not be willing to sell it all for one event or be able to lock everything up.
