thank you 💜
np! Jarred tomatoes come out to 51g per tomato while seeds come out to 40g per tomato.
okay thankies. that will help!
just a smidge of water
Gonna try this new setup, I never use fertilizer so I have a TON of it that I’m gonna use for this. And I’m gonna jar everything
And I only make star quality seeds, so honestly I feel like I’m just wasting quality up fertilizer lol
Is there any use for the quality up fertilizer if u use star quality seeds? Like should I be using the fertilizer for something else? Just sell it?
Before level 25 yes
After not really
But i always used cotten back then anyways
What should I do with it after I’m level 25 gardening? Just sell it?
Honestly i sometimes throw random fert down for the "use 30 fert" weekly

hey quick question, does hydratepro fertilizer prevent need of watering the next ingame or real time day?
every growth tick
which should be every palia day
growth ticks are every Palia day at 6am
Which is at xx:15 time in real life
thanks!
anyone know what the fastest way to level gardening is?
like if I put out all apple trees?
Apple trees with yeild boost probably but all apple trees might work enough lol
This is my layout and im in the 60s rn for gardening level: #🌱│gardening message
anyone know how much seed makers we should have on our plot? i have 4 at the moment but i feel like i wanna add a few more, but im not too sure how many
I dont think there is an exact number. The more seed output and worm/glowworm farms generating materials the more value you get. personally I've just gone down to 1 of each machine(wood, smelting, etc) + as many worm farms/preserve barrels/seed makers as I can
What’s the best combo for making lots of money (not faster but more money)
Im magic now... not pressing anything 🤣
standing on a hill? 🤣
all crops give same exp, 4exp per slot per day of growth on harvest. Only way to increase that is to use growth boost from SpeedGro or apple/bb crop boost, or to just log in more often.
That’s great to know, thank you!
I usually have 5 apple trees going
Turn apples to jam
And turn jam to fertilizer and worms
Selling the fert and worms
Thank you
my potato focused field
i just noticed this...
Yeah it is a glitch they show you earlier
Hm... I wonder if there's other chopped stuff...
Maybe in the future
I just automatically go to liver when I see food which starts with chopped.
Oooh... last time this happened we had new ingredients officially added a patch or two latter, IIRC
What’s the best thing to feed my worm farms to give me the most produce. Other than cake since I don’t have anymore
if you dont need them for fishing and just want gold from it then feed them the normal mushrooms that you can buy at zekis
its slow but steady income with not much trouble to refill
I want them for fertiliser for my garden. So to get the most fertiliser out of it that I can
apple jam it is then
can also go with raw star apples but they give less - its just that this would safe you the jam processing
if you want some fertilizer (same as big cakes/apple jam) the cheapest product avaiable is probably sweet leafs if you have a problem with sustaining the apples/jam
Hey guys ! i wanna moove my soils into another plot, but its been 3 days since i am waiting for the soil to untilled, do you know how long do i have to wait ?
Probs the fertilizer needs to be used up
i dont know how to get them out, and the tiles that dont have it dont dissapear im getting defeated lol
Just plant rice, it grows quickest.
Are you able to move the tilled one without anything on it?
should i put rice on the tiled ones too ?
Nah, try just the fertilized ones.
I always thought it was 2 days and honestly wasn't paying attention when I moved mine but it seemed to take forever.
They should make it so the same way to remove crops would remove the tilling 🤔
How do we remove crops?
using the right click with the hoe
Oh, interesting.
You can but I think it doesn't matter if there is fertilizer or not, but at lest rice will grow in 3 hours and you will earn some money 😉
yeah i think putting rice is the most clever way to go about it
Looks lucrative. How many seeders are you running? Need to up my crafting cap.
14 for potatoes right now 🙄 depends on how much time you have on your hands
i have 12 jars and 4 seeders at the moment since my focus is apple jam but my potats go in the seeders
Hm
not sure scrambling your crops is worth the extra profit, something like this would be a lot easier to replant and only slightly less profitable (2 potatoes turn into tomatoes):
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H-P.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.HP.HT.HP.H
also you need to include cost of fertilizer (81x5g = 405g) that lowers this layout's profit. It would be better to go with harvest boost from crops and to use water retain fertilizer since that one is cheaper (2g vs 5g) and can be bought, so something like this:
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp-P.HpRP.HpP.HpCrP.HpP.HpRP.Hp
but even this one has a 54x2g=108g cost, so mixing tomato would still keep profits high (224g less but no fertilizer). So it depends if you view fertilizing cops to be worth extra 116g profit. Personally i'd say watering might be preferable to fertilizing.
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-PRPTCrTPRP-PRPTCrTPRP-PRPTCrTPRP-PRPTCrTPRP-PRPTCrTPRP-PRPTCrTPRP-PRPTCrTPRP-PRPTCrTPRP-PRPTCrTPRP
also take into account machine limit, potato heavy layouts are good for profit, but they cap rather early. If you tend to your garden a lot you will end up overproducing so mixing tomatoes for water retain might be preferable anyway
I'm not paying for fertilizer, I've got Worm farms for that.
Which is why I'm not using any fertilizer that has to be bought.
it still has value, so you are "spending" 5g per piece by using it instead of selling
Everything I'm not selling is a loss of profit then, I may as well not have anything in my chests at all and just have money.
Clearly this is the optimal layout for most gain.
did your plots previously have blueberries or peppers that crossed the 9x9 square boundries? I was able to move mine even with plants on them, unless it had something planted that crossed over from one plot to another. nope mybad doesn't work... coulda sworn but i'm more brainless 😄
i dont think ive ever used quality fert passed like my first day of playing, always prefferred to have cotton around instead at least it can be sold lol
I am way too much of a brainless bimbo to remember sorry 😭
Yeah, I'm going to stick with this one.
sadly even if you do that you wont have enough seeders and jammers - i always hit my limit with less
which is why i use it like this without fertilizer
can I unplant something if I put it in the wrong place for my plan?
Edit: You can right-click with the hoe to destroy a planted crop.
hol up, theres optimized layouts to plant crops in?? i thought wherever they went they were fine there lmao
can you link the palia garden planner ingame?
I just made that one cause that's how my brain feels staring at the planner, scrambled.
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/ @gentle sedge
Oh thanks!
Didn't even have this channel haha
This is my basic layout.
Looks like I need to optimise haha
Wait you can plant the jars of preserved veggies?
If you really want nothing but apples
Trying to have every crop at least once, while keeping 100% water retain and have it all be symmetrical is a fun challenge. Especially when not using 3x3 layout XD
Four days after finishing my new crop layout and processing setup and I'm 5k away from hitting the gold cap. 🎉
Anchor mode
how does water retain work? what does it do?
the plant will stay watered as long as it and the plant giving it the retain are also watered once (and as long as it's not still having weeds)
Hi all! Anyone has a good setup 100% afk with bushes and apple trees and a bit of everything?
Hey guys, i just made my first ever layout. I tried to max out the worth/day. What is your max you've ever planned? Mine is now 5.408/day
This is my layout, it's more of a long term plan then a profit in 1 day plan
apples to jam, jam to worm farms, sell worms and fert
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-PTCrAAAAAA-PTATPACrCrA-AATAAPAACr-AAAPCrPTCrT-AAAAAAAAA-CrPTCrTPAAA-CrAAPAATAA-APTACrCrAPT-AAAAAACrPT

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tr5KdvomPxOsA93HC9S7vDdP_bnffWifpwwQPCectdg/edit#gid=0
Can just swap the cotton for onion/carrot whenever needed.
Help how do I remove a crop
Thank u 😊
Nice! I'd love to see what your layout is. Mine gets me 5,311g/day.
Oh, you dont even have watering 🙈
potato, wheat, rice and blueberry as seed, apple and tomato as jar
potato is best single slot crop when making to seed, you could switch you tomato and potatos
It's not significant enough of a difference and I like not having to replant stuff for a while.
Nice. I chose corn over tomatoes for the harvest boost and because it's worth more per jar, but tomatoes seem to harvest more frequently, hence more gold. Definitely makes me want to experiment with different crops now. Btw, you could make more jarring the blueberries. It's a marginal difference of 31g/day, though.
blueberries in general are poor money in comparison to other things
(unless you bake)
yeah, but jar blueberry, takes too long, all my machines are full all the time
i need to seed the bb's to safe some time
blueberrys are only for the grow boost for the apple trees
You jar corn ?
Yep, worth slightly more (2g/unit) than seeding.
Still highly reccomend this doc
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tr5KdvomPxOsA93HC9S7vDdP_bnffWifpwwQPCectdg/edit#gid=0
I still need to check out the worm farm doc, but messing with the layout some more, I managed 5,587g/day.
not me, using my own 1 apple layout because of my alt account getting an apple seed from the zeki gacha once
due to lack of pins, does anyone happen to have a good lowlevel 9x9 layout?
found some online but they're all endlevel alas im only 4 ^^'
thanks 😉 if i may be so bold: you dont happen to have the seed recap on hand as well per chance? ( would save me the countin :D)
sadly not my set up just an old screenshot haha
thanks tho 😉 guess ill copy paste it quickly into excel and use count functions 😄
in case you may want to note it with the screenshot ( 32 Tomato 28 Potato 17 Rice 4 Cotton )
will add to notes
new edit for only 1 tree, variety of crops with buffs on tree

Excess hunting muujin meat or regular potatoes for worms -> fert
With five growth boost fertilizers (corner potatoes and center corn), you can go up to 5,662g/day.
i kinda want a little bit of everything as i use some ingredients for cooking, otherwise overflow just get proccessed and sold
Pretty decent by itself for the 100% water retain and having a nice pattern!
Also just for anyone who wants to play with this, here's the code:
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-PTWTCoTWTP-PTPWBBTBB-WTPTCoTPTW-PBBTBBPWT-AAAAAAAAA-BBPBBTTWP-WTPTCoTPTW-TBBWBBPTP-PTWTCoTWTP
Without touching the current crop variety, you can reduce the amount of tomatoes in exchange for getting harvest boost on the apple tree if you'd like

wait wrong image
Mostly touched the bottom 3 plots, ruining its pattern but I tried to at least make the row symmetrical
. There might be a better way to go about this
this is the one I am using, no watering no weeding: https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-PTOCWCrOSpSp-CPTPCoRTOC-OCPWCrTPCoO-TSpSpPOCCRT-A.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.H-TRCCOPBBT-OCoPTCrWPCO-COTRCoPTPC-BBOCrWCOTP
If someone is fun of Cream of Tomato Soup
Is quality fert even useful at lvl 25+?
With non starred seeds maybe
After 50 tho not so much
I only get non-starred seeds as a side-product and I just gift them to NPCs for weeklies.
After 50 pretty much everything ends up quality
Hm, since I can't play Palia, I can play on the Garden planner,
I need a challenge. What should I try to achieve?
most profit in preserves
like in jam and pickled things lol
Will try.
In meantime, here's at least 2 of each (except apples), with 100% water/weed covered.
If we're talking purely things you can preserve, here's with and without blueberries
Plenty of variety with the amount of apple trees either 2 or 3. Less apples doesn't mean less profit, just slightly faster?
ive been trying to do that for days but the max daily i come out with is like 1k lmaooo ty
Actually, if you swap tomatoes/with potatoes to give them the growth boost, it goes higher, if all you do is use jars, rather than seedmakers.
Potatoes might be good for seeds, but I just like not having to replant stuff xD
Unfortunately this doesn't take into consideration how long it takes to preserve things and such.
And I tend to just feed Apple/blueberry jam and pickled tomatoes to my worm farms instead.
(And use pickled corns as food for myself. Cba to make that soup all the time, since it can't stay consistently star quality)
Here's another pretty pattern
reminding me of my SOs pinwheel
I'm always tempted to make a "I will just not harvest those, they're there only to give bonus to others", but the noise is annoying and the dry spots don't look as nice D:
Is there a planner for fertilizer v.s. jarring produce?
There is a profit tracker here: https://www.paliatracker.com/gold-profit I think this is what you are looking for.
Oooh thanks, that helps a bunch!
The whole site is pretty amazing. It's a site created and maintained by a fan. Her work is really top notch.
*nods nods*
Technically no one is stopping you from doing this and questioning your life choices.
Ok, because I take a bit to figure things out. What the site is doing is reccomending the better of the two? (as in it is better to put apple jam in the regular worm farm over the glow worm farm ec.t)
It automatically selects the highest profit output crafter for each thing. But you can expand it and compare the different crafters and what each of them will output in materials/gold profit.
perfect! That is exactly what I needed <3
Oh! Does it take into account the time or just the units?
(i.e you get more for each potatoe pickled but you get less pickled per hour than tomatoes)
Pretty sure it's just raw output. So I guess it might leave a little work for us to figure out still. lol
Ok, that was the math I was trying to work out before... I've gotten to the point that if I know I'll be away from the game for a while I stock potatoes into everything. If I am actively playing I stock tomatoes
But I was wondering if that was -actually- efficient or if I was just misguided into believing so
How did you get the bushes?! your garden is so pretty!!!
blooberry bushes :D ||You can get them from zeki coin machine, badruu's level 3 friendship quest, or guild shop (dont waste your medals on guild shop though!!! so spensive D:, save for the well instead)||
oh my gosh thank you!!! <333
is apple worth income?
apple jam is good money
so is putting apple jam into worm farms and selling the worms and fertilizer it produces which is a bit more money
any reccomended garden layouts?
There are a million different ways you can go about it since it is heavily deoendant on what your own personal goals are but here I compiled a short list of layouts ranging from more newbie to higher level
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GyPgetnBlxypFaYzvGSyhGPntXnpMxsm_q8zvXYHEqg/edit?usp=sharing
Yeah, it really depends on what you're trying to grow and how actively you want to participate in managing it.
Some want 100% AFK, water retain/weed free, some want weeds. Some want specific crops, or only profit.
It's probably easier to find one once you state what you want your garden to do for you.
Wondering what y'all think. Simple mid-tier 3x3 AFK layout; 100% water retention, weed prevention, and harvest boost, and good crop variety before getting berries, apples, and peppers. Only requires 9x HydratePro and 9x WeedBlock fertilizer for 36g at the general store. https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-P.WT.WP.WRWCrOCO-T.WP.WT.WRWCrCOC-P.WT.WP.WRWCrOCO-PTPRWCrOCO-TPTRWCrCOC-PTPRWCrOCO-PTPRWCrO.HpC.HpO.Hp-TPTRWCrC.HpO.HpC.Hp-PTPRWCrO.HpC.HpO.Hp
i made a fun setup
14 Berry bushes is the most I can do with 100% water retain from tomatoes/potatoes xD
can someone explain why weed coverage is so important. I see in every layout but don't get it. It feels like I can just weed the stuff when I water. What am I missing
It's for when you want to be away from your Garden for more than a day. Otherwise, I use weeds for extra income
I have a two part question: 1) Should I have more seed machines or juicers? I have 2 juicers, 5 seed machines, and 4 juicers. 2) Other than a tree (I haven't met the requirement), what is the next best crop. I am currently doing all tomatos & selling the juice.
You generally get more value out of jarring your crops than seeding them (with potatoes being an exception), so I'd prioritize barrels. As for next-best crop, I'm not sure. Probably the best value is potatoes for their seeds (four bags per potato for 120g).
Here's a good resource for comparing crop values. However, it doesn't take into consideration days-to-harvest or harvests-per-plant. https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Template:List/Crops_Money
Ohhh, I'm so doing all potatos! Thanks for the link. I had it before but I didn't save it.
No problem. Potatoes have a five-day, single-use harvest, so just keep that in mind.
I'm not sure if that is a problem financially or not. I'm going to do a test run after my final harvest of my tomatoes. Thanks again!
ICYI, all-potatoes yields 2,904g/day while all-tomatoes yields 2,339g/day.
Yup! Potatoes it is. You've been a great help sensei 🙂
Okay, in case anyone wants a challenge, I need to prioritize blueberrries, apples, potatoes and spicy peppers. I have 8 soil plots to use. I wanna be as AFK as possible so I can go gather mats.
I COULD use 9 but I think I want all other crops on the 9th plot - hoping we get more soon
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-110_CROPS-RPTPSpSpTSpSp-PBBCrBBRPT-RPTSpSpPSpSpR-PCrRBBPBBT-AAAAAAAAA-BBCrBBPRPT-RSpSpPSpSpTPR-BBCrBBPCrPT
This one has full water retain, but no weed prevention, which you can use weedblock only on the crops you care about. And then only harvest what you want, leaving the rest to maintain bonuses?
This is perrrfect thank you!!
Where is that gardening guide for those who have yet to get to the berries, apples and such? The early one. I saw one in this server earlier, but can not find it again.
Yes. Thank you!
I like it 🙂 Start fishing and making grilled fish for your worm farm, you will get some QualityUp fertilizer, you may add this for higher profit 😉
Does anyone know where I can find the numbers for how many of each crop gets harvested from a single plant?
column D in Data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1f39XkRS-H6WaeKaCwS_iyLZVhTvmfpu14irjb8K9awU/edit#gid=992716853, note that it's for all harvests, so divide by 4 for regrowing plants
but in general, it's 2/6/16 based on crop size
Thank you!!
is there a way to destroy crops that u placed by accident
Right click with the hoe
Heya folks! Mild update on the garden planner.
Crafter support is almost completed! It'll come with a small degree of configuration such as how many crafters for each crop type, or how many crafters overall if you plan on just inserting whatever you harvest in whatever's available. While it's not as configurable as desired, it should hopefully give better approximations of gold averages. Current crafter implementation also allows room for me to expand into worm farms in the future, but that's likely not anytime soon
There's still a plenty of room for debate though, as there are definitely more efficient crafter management methods that the planner is struggling to implement
What's left for this feature includes tweaking crafter behaviour to get more optimal/accurate processing times (if possible), bug fixes to stomp out, and then fully implementing the UI. A setting will also come to have the current data displays on release, as I'm still weighing my options regarding saving/sharability/planner UX
I'll likely ask some people to test this out before making it on the live planner soon!
SWEET. I love the Garden Planner. More than my garden, lmao
I am totaly new at this , that being said what is the best layout for Profit Gain. I have all 9 plots and still pre Berries and Apples. Thanks in advance.
Most profitable gets complicated
But ive found apples to apple jam to worm farming the jam and selling the fert and worms to be quite profitable
no apples yet, so as for normal crops?
Check the before apples one in my list :3 credits to @/bdx.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GyPgetnBlxypFaYzvGSyhGPntXnpMxsm_q8zvXYHEqg/edit?usp=sharing
ok that is the one I have been useing. Thank you for that as well.
ok noob question again, do I need to have all my plots together or can there be space between them?
You can have space in between, but you need to have the crops next to each other to apply buffs.
Has anyone got a link to an updated resource for best farm plot arrangements for gardening xp rush
What is good to put in (glow) worm farms for making harvest boost fertilizer? (aside from celebration cakes)
Honestly apple trees with increased harvest is the way to go here
And if you don't have apples then tomatoes until you get apples
I have 5 apple trees going and im in the 60s in gardening
I presume the xp formula is just crop-type x yield? So just highest level crop (apples), with harvest boost, growth speed, etc?
Sounds about right yeah:)
Got a couple good apple set ups here for ya if you want
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GyPgetnBlxypFaYzvGSyhGPntXnpMxsm_q8zvXYHEqg/edit?usp=sharing
Before level 25 and after level 25
But youd need growth speed fert if you wanted that buff cause i dont account for that xD
anyone know a good fast growing apple and blueberry farm
theres just not enough plots for all the gardening I have in me
Under what criteria? Like does watering and weeding bother you? Or are you able to return to plot daily to manage, and therefore want just maximum throughput of star crops and yield?
do I have to pick
I guess
how do I get to have them the fastest and the most
If I have to sacrifise picking weeds and watering I dont mind
whatever makes me the most money possible the fastest *
I'm thinking this one is a good balance of both
Yeah, with current fertilisers and crops, you basically sacrifice like maintenance for max profit (growth speed, yield and quality vs water retention and weeds). Lazy farming for me with decent profit is planting for yield and weeds, fertilizing for water, and relying on starred seeds for quality. Makes it low maintenance, but decent profit, albeit no growth speed (and still gives me mostly star crops for cooking).
After level 25 you're almost guarenteed star crops with star seeds and a bit before that is still a high chance so it gets easier to just rely on star seeds as you level to be starred
Can I ask what the significance of the "after lvl 25" section is please? I don't recall getting any bonuses or unlocks when I hit 25.
I think that post-lv.25-buff is unwritten, it automatically applies as soon as you reach it
as you level you increase your chances that seeds are quality, after 25 star seeds are pretty much ALWAYS star quality
and after 50 even regular seeds are almost always quality
For real? I had no idea. Is there some ingame indicator or online resource documenting that, or has it just been observed by players?
just player observation, it's estimated that star seeds give 50% chance, skill level gives 2% per level. So 100% chance from star seeds at lv 25
I haven't had a regular crop in a VERY long time lol
Huh. I haven't even bothered to check. Will have to suss that out. Cheers!
Hey so I just noticed I filled my apple trees up with fertilizer (for watering so I don't have to water all the time) And it maxes at 99.. logged in today and they where EMPTY
I have never had my fertilizer deplete that quickly... anyone else? is it a new bug? 😦
that is a VERY OLD BUG LOL surprised it's not fixed
Is there another way to get fertilizer/hydratePro fertilizer exept buying with gold in Shop?
https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Worm_Farm
https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Glow_Worm_Farm
Hydrate Pro Fertilizer
"Can be purchased at the general store in batches of 20 for 40 gold.
Can also be made using a QualityUp Fertilizer in a planted soil, watering it and placing another 'dry' QualityUp Fertilizer on top of it."
Thanks a Lot! Don't know its under Worms. Still confused with wiki
it must have come back
has there been confirmation on some of the different fertilizer mechanics? like do weed ferts only get used if it prevents a weed growth, or is it just % chance to consume a charge every day, regardless? And is it wise to mass-fertilize each plot (at moment, i put 20 ferts per single crop, and max out a stack of fert for bushes and trees).
is there any confirmation that this is either overkill due to fertilizer not being consumed when used (i.e. psuedo random chance per 6am to just consume fertilizer regardless of if benefit growth/weed/yield/etc?
all these complicated crop layouts and here i am just planting all out corn and adding quality fertilizer XD take it slow guys. its a farming game and eventually you will get to cap the gold amount regardless of what crop layout you make
palia.wiki has good info on fertilizers.
are star seed better than normal seed? give they more outcome? (without any fertilizers - didnt tocuh them yet)
higher quality is worth more gold, higher quality seeds increase chance of crops being high quality
but only a chance of better quality crops from quality seeds. hm not sure what is better to sell ^^
I just make everything extra i dont cook with into preserves lol I figure that sells more regardless
how many seed maker do i need to get a max farm with tomatoes running later?
some things sell more in worm farms too
like apple jam to worm farm is good

looks like I need to play more to understand teh sheet xD
Is there any way to unseed a tile? Also is there a way to untile it, so the soil could be moved to inv or retile it, when still tiled, so all crops would need tiling at similar times?
you can right click with your hoe to destroy a crop. just be careful that you don't accidentally remove the wrong crop, it's a bit finicky still. i believe if the plot is void of crops you should be able to pick it up. but the nice thing about the plots is you can go into the H menu and move them around even if there are crops planted (just keep in mind that if you have a bigger crop [blueberry bush/appletree etc] that's planted on two plots you won't be able to move either plots until the crop is gone or you remove it). hope this helped a little!
Thanks a lot. It's great, that we can destroy wrongly seeded crops and actually it's not that hard, cause it takes 3 hits with a hoe to remove, so we are warned ahead, if the targeting is wrong. I know, that we can move soils around, but what I really would like would b to tile all my garden at the same time, even if at cost of doing it a little more often and losing a bit of efficiency waiting for all crops to be harvested for tiling to begin. But, well, we are betatesting here 😉
I will do gardening on the same time, when I have all soil pieces ^^ so long time^^
the yellow boxes are the worth
so bottom one is starred jam which is worth 144 gold, followed by if you put it in the worm farm the amount you'd get from worms and fertilizer is 160 gold, then putting it in glow worm farm and selling the glow worms and fert would be 155 gold
so like 100 apples to apple jam would be worth 14,400
100 apple jams to the worm farm would be 16,000
looks like also tomatoes have best value after pickling going to normal worm farm ^^
looks liek the valuable items are not so easy to get like some cooking things ^^ so I need to figure out what works for me^^
a lot apples
apples are good for cake baking
Are there any lazy layouts with a little bit of every crop, where there's no watering and no weeding? I'm level 25 btw
There was this one sometime back, forgot if there were others but it fits what you want
#🌱│gardening message
It's best to have this one on standby or replant one crop at a time as the non-lazy part is the layout complexity (but that's a given with all-crop layouts)
is there any way to increase the maximum number of soil plots you can have?
you can only have up to 9
aw man 😔 okay ty!
been dropping more pickled stuff and jam into worm bins. do i sell both the worms and fert to make profit or is it just worms?
all of the output, unless you want to fish and sell the fish
I keep 100 worms on hand and sell the rest
im thinking about also have fertilizer on hand. or on soil ^^ for better output
okay cool, tysm! i was just trying to decide if it's worth to just keep all the glow worms (i still have so many fish to catch for bundles, i hate fishing lol) or just keep some and sell the rest.
been keeping about 30 fert a week to finish the weekly but the rest gets sold unless i actually need it

will need some time to start with weeklies ^^
actually I focus on get more soil and better items^^ but its a lot gold to spent xD
still not sure how much ti keep and what to sell xD I think need more time and maybe all soils^^
Thanks!
Where do you get tree seeds??
from chopping down trees out in the world
My game might be bugged then. I haven't gotten a single seed from trees
Do they drop near your house or no
I don't know if I ever got one from my home plot or not - lol but I chop alot of trees in Bahari bay and Kalima ( for the bees ) so I have a ton of seeds. I would go to field behind Badruu's farm and chop a bunch of trees and see what you get - (and take bug bombs cause that is where you get bees from)
Okie! I'll try out there instead 🙂
medium to large trees
Okay I put 2 and 2 together and I need a bigger axe lol. I just have the standard
What plants give growth boost?
Blueberries and apples.
Oh are those the only ones?
Yup.
So if I want faster apples I gotta plant a blueberry by it
Yup. That's what you'll see in most fruit layouts.
I c
this is the layout i use rn, is there one with 100% water retain that does all crops thats better?
My SO made one but you have to water the bushes but its in a way where if you have upgraded watering can you just have to water the middle square
Anyone else having an issue with the planner where the harvest approximations window partially covers the crops
Are you zoomed in perhaps ?
No
ok, since its a webpage, it was a possibility. (ctrl-mousescroll)
yeah it's the same no matter how much I zoom
Any chance there's a version of this layout that includes every plant (cept peppers cause thatd probably be impossible)
I can probably make something close hang on
How's thissss?
(if you want cotton it could go in the middle square where that onion is XD but yeah)
couldn't quite figure out a third bush 🤔
Thankyou, sorry lol I'm just obsessed with gardening for the maximum output with the minimum effort!
I think this is really nice I will probably use this and never change it
glad it helped
these have 100% water retain and varied crops if you're interested
just realized the first one of those 2 must also help @subtle ocean as well if you replace the peppers with blueberries I'm a fool LOL
to be fair i fit 4 apple trees in this one just lacking water retain on bushes
Anyone wanna share their Garden planner For 2x3??🙌
Thankyou very much @dusty kayak I'll be sure to try them all out tbh figure out what works!
i usually change between these two atm
How about when I dont have apples yet?
you mean fertilizer? Did you put it every day while the plant was growing?
Can you Stack some fertilizier in the soil, so you Dont have to give it every ingame day?
yes and i plant things next to them so they get the harvest up buff too?
Fertilizer does stack! You can hold G to see how much you have on each crop, there will be a number next to the fertilizer type.
If I get quality boost from other crops but put quality fertilizer anyway, will it be consumed?
Thanks! (Im really new^^)
Also possible to Stack like 5x harvest boost and 5x on a soil Spot?
wow! we have this kind of planner? what is the website? please let me know
It's a site! Here's the link :)
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/
thank you!
Np!
Yes sometimes it gets bugged if that tile is also growth boosted
Hi I'm sorry I'm not 100% sure what the question is but I think you're asking if you can apply two types of fertilizer? It's only one type per soil, if you try to put another type it will give you back the previous one and replace it with the new one.
I cant seem to find a layout maximizing profit with processing the harvest my brain will not work lol
but I need to be planting ALL the seeds too
ok thank you ^^ hm dont know whcih fertilizer is best. xD I think I go with quality ^^
I'm looking for a layout I remember finding in this discord somewhere a couple days ago. It had a bit of every crop, 100% water retention, about 40~% or so weed prevention, and was relatively simple to replant. I don't think it had any fert, and it looks relatively simple and somewhat symmetrical? But for the life of me I CANNOT find it again. I wonder if anyone can help me out lol.
hard to pin point
don't suppose it was one of mine? (im guessing probably not, just checking to see if i can help lol)
like i had this one?
I don't think so, I think the one I'm looking for had two apple trees?
one on each side in the middle
It depends on your layout and what benefits your surrounding crops give you. Some of them for example boost the yield, the quality or keep water for you. If you don't use this site already, this is a great resource: https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/
How to plant blueberry/apple? How to get seeds?
||you get them at level 9 - or you can request the fruits and make the seeds or just request the seeds but I couldn't request them for a bit||
Thanks
Also you can request only what you already had/unlocked, no?
hmmm not sure, I requested 10 apples over time and made a seed before I hit level 9
Maybe it's bugged then? Or I don't know how to request new stuff...
you can find apples in recipes to request or just press o and go to the requests i think it should be in there
If i could just bring them to you I would lol
Oooooh, nice, thanks
You can get a blueberry seed from ||level 3 friendship with badruu|| and an apple seed from ||level 3 friendship with either zeki or naio|| which should go relatively fast if you give them their weekly requested items and talk to them every hour you can
good to know ! Thank you! 🙂
has two apples, 100% water and 100% weed. it might not be the original one you were looking for, but might serve the same purpose.
Do we still think the overall, after replant most profit layout is the Dirty Rice setup? 🍚
this is the best ive been able to figure out with and without fertz
has anyone been able to figure out layout that maximizes more than 3 of the 5 buffs without blueberries?
why no blueberries?
don't have them LOL, but if someone has a layout 9x9 that maximises more than 3 with blurberries thats fine too.
I'm just trying to see if its even possible to maximise 4
No, but I might use it anyway, thanks
What is the green plant? Cos it looks like wheat but wheats alrwsdy on there
rice
you can vary any of the what rice and corn with eachother so long as they alternate
if the link works, this is roughly my garden layout. it changes if i want to grow different things, but the apples and blueberries stay the same https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-Sp.SSp.SC.SSp.SSp.SO.ST.SP.SCo.S-P.HA.HA.HT.HA.HA.HP.WA.HA.H-A.HO.HpC.HpA.HB.HB.HA.HB.HB.H-O.HC.HO.HpA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.H-B.HB.HO.HB.HB.HT.HP.HO.HCo.S-C.HT.HP.HP.SO.SC.SR.SCr.SW.S-A.HA.HA.HT.WB.HB.HP.WB.HB.H-T.HC.SCo.SO.QCr.ST.SC.HpR.SP.S-C.SP.ST.WO.SSp.SSp.SC.SSp.SSp.S
the apples, blueberries and peppers are symetrical diagonally, and the gaps around are mostly even numbered tiles which helps with paired planting. I also tried to minimise fertilizer that has to be paid for, and grow something of everything all at once. However, every time I think I've found the best layout, i have another idea.
A static layout may not be the best, as it doesnt take into account time.. you could alternate a harvest of one type and then a harvest of another type instead of growing all the things. And maybe you also want it to look pretty, or you have plenty of time to weed and water and want to maximise something else
that ones pretty good, especially since eventually you get all starred crops anyway so quality boost is a wash.
Im not really worried about the actual harvest.
Im purely just trying to find if a layout is possible that maximises 4 of the buffs while using at least 2 of each crop, besides apples (but if there is one with 2 apples and 2 of each other crop too thats fine too).
no particular reason other than trying to see if it can be done
i have spent many happy hours standing still and looking at garden tiles...
the apples and blueberries give each other a growth boost, as well as boosting any surrounding plants, so taking the blueberries out wouldnt be as good
when i only had one tile plants, i tried to get all the inside tiles to five boosts - four from the neighbors and one fertilizer. Six boosts, if you count me talking to the plants..
I don't believe it but I have sooo much crops and seeds ! I need to hold up cos I don't cook cept focus foods.
That's how I optimize too. Each inner plant has 4 sides, so 4 maximum boosts. Unfortunately the bigger 2x2 and 3x3 plants make it mathematically impossible to get perfect, I'm pretty sure
i have that feeling too - although an apple tree on one edge leaves six tiles to the opposite edge, which is convenient
Yeh but big crops on the edge means more total squares not optimized
I just hit lvl 9, so how do I get them? Or is the lvl 9 a prerequisite to get lvl 3 friendship?
i currently use quality up fert but since i use star seeds someones told me they are useless, should i be using harvest boost instead? most of my crops get growth boost already
this is my current setup which isnt made by me, but someone else in this chat
it covers a lot of fertiziler so i honestly dont think i even need fertiziler
Level 10 actually, then you get weeklies and earn medals from them. The medals buy the seeds. I reccomend only buying 1 then using your first one to turn the seeds into more of your own so you don't have to spend medals on it anymore and start working on saving for the well which functions as a water can filling station.
Level 3 friendship with naio gets a apple seed
Zeki gets an apple seed
And badruu gets a blueberry seed
Is there gift/weeklies tutorial/guide? I never bothered
And weeklies are just question marks in UI for me
Weekly Wants list (and daily reset count down)
https://palianpc.com
Tracker (bundles, bugs, fish, gifting, etc)
https://www.paliatracker.com/
You can gift without asking in game and it will count as long as your friendship level matches (level 1 = first want for example)
I reccomend talking to them every hour it'll go much faster
Why would I need well if I have my farm next to the pond?
Except for design
Your plot will get larger the well opens up more opportunities for placements
Because of how i want my house structured my garden is in the back
the only guild store decor with a function haha
hi everyone might be a silly qs but how do we add a plot to grow more
max of 9 soil plots by the way
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-Sp.SSp.SCrSp.SSp.SPCrPC-A.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.S-CrSp.SSp.SPSp.SSp.SCPCr-A.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.S-CCrPCrTCrPCrC-A.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.S-CrPCB.SB.SPB.SB.SCr-A.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.SA.S-CPCrPB.SB.SCrB.SB.S if you dont wanna play for a few days your crops should still grow (at least the importent crops like apples XD)
Without fertilizer and blueberries ?
I did one totalling 388% with 0% quality boost
But that was with a ton of fert
any tips how to plan my garden for pickle money, some cotton and one spicy pepper?
I ended up with something like this
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-PCrPTWTPCrP-PCrPTWTPCrP-PCrPTWTPCrP-PCrPTWTPCrP-TCoCoCoSpSpCoSpSp-PCrPTWTPCrP-PCrPTWTPCrP-PCrPTWTPCrP-PCrPTWTPCrP
EDIT: oh, actually I can have more peppers, forgot I can buy seeds
my reasoning was my apples have weed and water and growth boosts from the adjacent plants, and then I add harvest boost, and they dont need quality boost because they come out star anyway, so I am not missing out if they are on the edge
talk to badruu! it's in his shop!
yeah, I'm lvl 9, don't have the medal thingies...
oh you start to earn them at level 9 they add up quick
yeh having the high level star gurantee helps a lot
not at lvl 10? I have 0
im gunna check the wiki but im p sure
you get weeklies at level 10
you earn access to the medal shop at level 10
but you can also get apple seeds and a blueberry seed from certain peoples level 3 friendship
hmmm maybe im thinking completely wrong thats my bad
i never bought any of the seeds myself, got them from villagers then made more
is it only harvesting that gives you gardening xp? if so you could grow tons of carrots and rice, which ripen fast, just to get to level 10
tomatoes happen in bunches and you get exp per crop
yeah, I never did the friendship
I'm starting now...
you can get to level 3 in 3 to 4 days
real life?
day 1. weekly want level 1, talk to them every hour you are online
should hit level 2 before end of your IRL day or early the next day you log in
day 2. level 2 weekly want when level 2, talk to them all day just like before
day 3. a gift, talk to them all day, should be close to level 3
i did this with einar and was level 3 by IRL day 3 and he and hassian are the slowest to friendship build
yeah, I'm at:
2.5 with Badruu
1.9 with Delaila
2.1 with Nai'o
should be done in 2 days I guess
those are the people you'll want to befriend for seeds
then use the seed maker to make more with the first crop
that's the plan
talk to them every hour you're online goes faster then you think
real hour?
yes thats 1 palia day, you can talk to them every palia day which is 1 irl hour
are spicy peppers worth anything?
4 spots -> 20 peppers 960g
4 spots -> 23 cottons 1550g
Just good to cook with tbh
you can also make preserves jar from them, starred ones sell for good price
Haven't seen the pricing on them--is it a significant enough return to make up for the recipe and crafting costs?
Check this doc to compare
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tr5KdvomPxOsA93HC9S7vDdP_bnffWifpwwQPCectdg/edit#gid=0
is there a way to untill parts of my farm?
I think what I did is right click with the tilling tool in my hand.
that works if theres crops in them, i wanna remove ones without crops:/
Ah, then mine have just disappeared on their own when I did not re-plant things on them.
okey, then ill just wait for that
they get untilled after a while on their own, even if you put crops on them still after a couple harvests they poof
for the next few weeks I am only able to check into the game once per day. what would be a good crop layout for this limited playtime? just tomatoes and potatoes?
i really like doing tomatoes since they can make more than one yield
Hey Palians, I haven't been around for awhile, what's the most lucrative crop nowadays? Also, is it worth it to preserve or seed any of the crops?
check this doc to compare crop to seed to preserved
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tr5KdvomPxOsA93HC9S7vDdP_bnffWifpwwQPCectdg/edit#gid=0
Potatoes sell well seeded, others sell well pickled
A lot sell more as preserved and then turned to worms and fert
I make a lot of money going apples to jam to jam in worm farms
Fantastic, thank you!!!
If you cant log in often you might benefit from 100% water retention AND weed blocking
Just to save a lot of time for when you can log in
On mobile but this link will take you to the layout: https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-TCTPOPCOT-COPTCPPOT-TCPTOTCTO-PCOTOTPTP-TPCPOTTCP-OPCPOTTCP-OCOTOTPCP-POTTCPPOT-POTTCPCOT
There is probably better ways you could go about it but it works
this looks awesome. thanks
We have A so we can have B <3
weed plots are still my fave ;D (Dirty Rice for when Im on a lot and need money fast, blooberries and apples for that AFK life)
I guess, absolutely. Its crafting does not cost anything. For 1 jar, you need 1 pepper. It just needs time to be done. And of course you can't cook that pepper anymore. 🙂
maybe this question is a little bit stupid but do you always plant star quality seeds? is there a higher chance to get star quality products?
Using seed makers to turn quality crops to quality seeds is beneficial and quality seeds are higher chance for quality crops
It also gets easier as you level
After level 25 quality seeds are pretty much always quality crops
And after level 50 even regular seeds are pretty much always quality
thank you very much 🙂
Is there a document or website that shows the different buffs crops give each other? I know that if you put tomatoes & potatoes together that makes water retention for the neighboring plant.
Halp, y'all! I'm on Switch Lite. I'm trying to plow my newly harvested plots. I can't. The hoe keeps trying to dig them up, and I don't know how to use it the way I'm supposed to. XD XD XD
different button for tilling then destroying
switch controls are still new to most so not sure which is which yet
That's what I figured, but Y examines, X digs, A does nothing, and B jumps. XD That's why I'm so lost.
OH! I just got it by accident! I picked up the switch and hit the right trigger (ZR) and it started! HOORAY!!
Hello guys I want to maximize the amount of xp I get to level up fast the gardening. I just bought the 9x9 tiles. Does anyone have a good setup without involving apples of bluebuerries ?
corn, wheat, and rice can be used interchangeably
thanks I'll set this up quickly then
Anyone else stuck with 8/9 plots? I need a garden plan...trying to figure one out now that makes sense to give me a mix of things to use and still make money
some people have 8 plot layouts here because they use the 9th to hold all the weeds, so there's probably options around here
Its a known issue according to support. Can't seem to get my 9th that I never got in mail
yeah just saying there is people with 8 plot layout ideas they could give you
Hey I have a question about weed plot. Not sure how to explain it but I will try my best, sry in advance for my eng😅 So, if all crops on the weed plot are fully ripe and have all weeds and not require watering will it immediately get bugged, maybe get bugged later or maybe solve the bug issue with the need to water weeds? Have anyone tried?
anyone has good design for money without apples (but with berries/spicies)
Thanks! Yea I was doubting if urs are grown, it seemed like you have all grown rice but I wasn't sure😅
Interesting info, I guess will see
I never had that happen before today xD
Do you know for how long you have this weed plot like that? (Like fully grown without need for watering)
I'm loving weedplot so much cause I can do my well in the mid
^^ idk a few weeks at least
I'm going through garden patterns and I feel blind so. Does anyone have a link to a garden that has a bit of everything and is 100% water retaining/weed prevented? I don't have any of the newer crops
or at least water retaining, ig I can use weedblock
YEA i made one 🙂
one second. ill post it
corn/wheat/rice can be changed with each other if you need more then one or the other. like right now im low on wheat so all 6 of those slots are wheat. 🙂 Cotton is super cheap so i don't plant it at all. but its got everything else! @gentle fern
I just harvested my first blueberries! 🥳
I think my favorite part about palia x switch is that my joycons move so easily that I can garden while doing the Irish jig (ignore how bare my garden is)
if i dont have weed prevention how often do i need to check the garden?
every hour?
how often do i need to check for weeds every hour?
Crops "grow" everyday at 6am, you just need to check it once within that day to maintain the weeds or have a crop with the weed prevention boost to help prevent them
If I'm using high quality seeds do quality boosting crops give me anything?
Nevermind! I found the answer :3
anyone have any apples they can gift me so I can turn them to seeds?
plain ol apples
weeds only 'spawn' when you visit your house. If you have water retension then you can just log into the GAME once per in game day and as long as you don't visit your house, weeds shouldn't spawn
I think you get one from one of the villagers as a gift, I wanna say it's the oldest farm boy
are you very sure about this, cause i got a few told me they spawn every tick. so i am not sure whos correct haha
It's possible it's changed in the last 3 months but that's what I've been told LMAO
yea that what i read also but it was 3 months ago hahaha i know they change alot of stuff.

My question is; how does different fertilizer work? So if I start a plant on the speed gro, and then apply like, quality up, and then on the day before harvest I use harvest boost, does that work? I have many thoughts.
I am still working on quests with all the characters, but am not yet getting any blueberries.
To finish my level 3 quest with Badruu, I need the Firebreathing Dragonfly, and I am not managing well with the bug catching of fast moving bugs on the Switch, so that will have to wait until I can be on the PC.
Is there a cap for soil fields?
Yes, you can have 9.
Sadge
For now 👀
does the 99-100 fertlizer for the whole garden or for just each of the plants?
you can only stack fert on one crop at a time
i hope this makes sense
this is phrased poorly lol
the answer for your question i think is "just each of the plants" and not the whole garden
fert is absorbed on the crop with each growth tick at 6am
so... i can only fertlize one crop to the max limit...?
You can stack fertilizer on each crop to the max limit but only with one type of fertilizer on each crop at a time. Hope this makes sense.
i think i understand. ty!
Each plant can only have one type of fertilizer, but you can pile it on up to the max, so it will last a while before you have to top it up again. Each plant can have up to four boosts from adjacent plants (edge and corner plants have fewer neighbors), which last as long as the plants are still there, plus one extra from whichever fertilizer you add.
do i get more xp from farming if i use fertilizer?
not directly, but you'll get extra medals each week
is it worth putting fertilizer if im currently only farming to level up my farming skill? or does it not matter
i believe the more crops you harvest the more xp you get, so if your fertilizer increases the number or amount of harvest then it would add xp
at least, you can see the focus go down when you pick stuff
so i assume your xp went up
okayy, well then ill put the fert that adds more crops during harvest and hope that it gives more
well, it's complicated - you can increase harvests lots of ways
you could plant corn, rice or wheat next to a crop, and that would also increase its harvest and you can use a different fertilizer
ooh, now i just mass planted carrots hah
no problem with that, if you like carrots 🙂
i enjoy working out complicated planting patterns, but there's lots of planting schemes online you can find
lots of people like all tomatoes, because you can pick them multiple times without replanting
i like a bit of everything all at once
you can press your G key to see what boosts each plant is getting
a plant with five boosts is a happy happy plant
ooh, thank u for the tips! I havent farmed that much yet so i appreciate it
good luck with your layout
Hiii, anyone has a layout to suggest to increase gold?
This is my current layout for preserves - I wish I had more potatoes but its working out so far
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-0111-1110-1100-1000_CROPS-RBBRBBTWW-AAAAAAAAA-WCoOPCoOWCoO-RRTBBWBBW-SpSpCrSpSpCrCrCrP-BBPBBPPPCo-AAAAAAAAA-BBPBBPPPCo-WPWCoCoCoCCC
anyone have spare apples they can gift me? only need one plain apple before I can start my own apple tree
i can, sen aka to add me
ty added 😄
whats your IGN i get a lot of randos and you cant get rid of them LOL
wait i see ya its the same
there ya go
if you want it I have a 1 apple tree set up with crop variety
sure, I was going to just look up a bunch of grow set ups anyways
I needed this apple seed badly to begin my very own apple tree and FINALLY make honey lures to catch those god forsaken bugs that only spawn in the farm and maiji temple
the farm one is the only bug I don't have I never find them LOL
I ran around that farm chopping trees for the glory bee, farmed over 2700 sapwood and finally got star bee
not seen a SINGLE raspberry beetle
fr fr
thanks, I'm going to go eat now

I got one from breaking a rock next to the farm
isnt that a ladybug
I have one raspberry beetle, pretty sure its from a rock
i don't thinkkkk it comes from rocks
it COULD but i dont thinnkk but maybe but the wiki doesn't say anything about coming from rocks
it might have been near a rock maybe?
oop sorry this goes too much #🐞│hunting-insects me stop
what is the best layout for a 6x6 if i want to plant tomatoes, potatoes, cotton, onion, wheat?
and want most profit?
Hello i'm in early game, what's the best method in gardening for earning Gold?
i started with tomatoes and converting them into seeds to sell
where do u get tomato seeds?
Zekis store
ok tyy
What is the best template to earn a lot of money?
O.O tomato seeds are nerfed heavily
Wheat and rice in this format with as many seeders as possible is good for end game or beginning. If you can't afford water retain yet, you can water on your own. If you don't want to use a weed plot, you can also weed on your own. I use 25 seeders and make 60-70k a day. It's a very active garden but very profitable.
Keeping weeds is also profitable, weeds add up. You will also have a larger profit margin in general if you ignore the weed plot and replace with the rice and wheat rows
I would highly advise against turning your tomatoes to seeds as a means to profit. It's 3 tomato to 2 seeds. 3 tomato non quality = 69g, to make 2 seeds = 80g. ( 11 g profit from 3 tomato's?)
Your tomatoes turn a better profit in preserve jars one tomato non star 23g to one pickled tomato 34g. (11g profit from one tomato)
If you only have seeders right now, I'd choose something other than tomato.
Potato is even better in seeders than tomato, a potato being worth 45g on its own, turns to 4 seeds equal in value to 80g, 35g profit a potato.
Ok I sleep happy farming
if you only have seed makers and not preserve jars yet though seeds is still more then tomato it's self it's little gain but it's gain
As Danieldodo asked; what's the best template to earn cash? Severely lacking at the moment.
what's your level, do you have worm farms, do you have preserve jars
Neither of those yet, working on fishing at the moment to get worm farms.
okay so tomato focus, if you have seed maker turn them to seeds for a little gain
it's a bit rough but better then less
I'm working on * tomato seeds at the moment, they're cookin' in the press.
Isn't it better to make pickles?
I have some newbie layouts here
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GyPgetnBlxypFaYzvGSyhGPntXnpMxsm_q8zvXYHEqg/edit#heading=h.4rn3fsx0rkaz
better then seeds, yes
because seeds take more then 1 tomato, and pickling is 1 to 1
Thanks!
Yeah I only make seeds if I need them other than that I pickle everything
even better in worm farm selling the fert and worms
my last batch of star apple jams
So you want to pickle the tomatoes and then worm farm -> sell?
3
ye for most gold
Ah, required gardening 8 though, that's rough.
file type wrong
Will take some time.
yeah tomatoes are also good exp because you get exp per crop and tomatoes come off in bunches
keep your focus up when you pick them
increase focus boost at phoenix shrine as much as possible
how?????
damn
i clicked it, oppened it in a tab, copied image
also btw apple jam is also better in worm farms

saved
im saving star apple seeds now gonna do a full shipping bin of those
i did the math and you lose out big time on apple seeds but i dont want people to come at me about it because its been an argument before lol
will you be making a weedless one ? yours have some good profit i followed hehe thou idk why sometimes either i miss a weed or something theres always like 1 with no water, was that cause by the weed?
i think the weeds make me worry LOL i keep coming back
and my patch kinda annoy me my tilling seem out of turn
lol
but theres no way to pick up the soils and reset it with out using up all the soil till

my ocd getting to me
you could do weedblock fert? most of the before 25 level stuff i try to keep harvest and quality boosted on the most important parts (tomatoes or apples)
im only doing it cus 1 star apple seed = 1k. just want to see a bin full of seeds lol
das so exp

once you're past 25 as long as you use star quality seeds you pretty much always get star quality crops
then onions/carrots can be used for weedblocking instead of cotton for quality
at least with the goals of my layouts
Soooo, has anyone made an ‘ideal’ crop layout to enforce as little maintenance as possible lol?
YEP LOL
so its every 4 palian days, you harvest without maintainance?
if all goes according to programming
for sure thats what i always do
until maybe when swimming in cash
i got 5 apple trees with harvest boost and 100% water retention it's the life for me
you still have to go weed whacking?
yeah but thats just free money in my book
i prolly want weed prevetion after cause i just want to login and logoff just to refresh the offline tick

I just want that MONEY BABY
I use 12 preserve jars, 4 seeders for seed inventory and because potatoes are better sold as seeds, and 6 worm farms for the jams, and 1 glow worm farm for trash to keep up having some glow worms on hand
do weeds sometimes remove water?
if left there long enough they stop growth which stops the water retain

Finally got blueberry seeds! One packet of them. How do we best go about those in the beginning? A smart pattern for planting them?
just harvest boost it then make more seeds with seed maker so you dont have to buy them
though I will say they aren't very profitable
but can be used in cooking
What do we use for harvest boost?
corn, wheat, or rice
needs a couple of them
All around the bush?
use the garden planner to test
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app
you can see what is effecting what
needs 2 to get the boost
tomatoes and potatoes will keep water retention
this is just an example of that XD
Thank you. This is a tool that will be helpful. I am bookmarking that page.
I wonder if this might be better for the crops I actually use, without the apples/berries overlapping soil to get bonuses. Maybe the game just doesn't like it and that's why it's not letting me play half the time >.<;
Although, this is an option too, with just using Harvest Boost on the apples.
If I don't feel like Spice Berries.
There, now apples are harvest and speed boosted with fertilizer. Gives worms something to do.

how is water fertilizer working. for tomatoes for example.
fresh tomato need 3 days to be done. so I need 2 water fertilizer on one spot? I would put more, liek 5 on a spot. but sometimes I need to use the hoe again, I think every fertilizer will distroy than?
Fertilizer remains even after the crop is removed, if it wasn't used up.
you can add as many days fertilizer as you can afford, but only one type per plant. Or you could plant a potato next to the tomato, and neither will need watering
uuuh, thats very nice!
actually imma mono tomatoe garden.
need to check if potatoes are also good. ^^
potatoes sell well seeded
they actually have better value xD so mono potato will need no water?
potatoes and tomatoes both provide water retention to the adjacent plants so you wouldnt need to come back and water every day
crops only effect other crops
youd need tomato and potato yeah ^
best way would be diagnol rows i think for that
where was the planning thingy?^^
plants dont boost plants of the same species, but they do boost plants of the same type, so a potato/tomato chessboard wouldn't need watering
sounds good
potato/tomato provide water retention to up to four adjacent plants, onions/carrots prevent weeds, cotton increases quality and corn/rice/wheat increase harvests
so your happy potato would get different boosts from four tiles next to it, plus a fertilizer
but it depends if you like gardening, because if you dont you can plant all tomatoes and make gold from a different skill
I have a row picture from tomatoes and potatoes
planner says 100% water up
Does it look like this? Lmao
yes^^
i think diagnol lines are better but it doesnt matter much
i think using quality ferti will make the cost higher
i suspect it's impossible to get a perfect arrangement, but it's fun trying
why was mentioned seeling potato seed instead of making pickled and put it to the worm farm? sure takes time^^
So, this, won't need harvest boost fertilizer then
ayy thats what i did when i started
cotton like weed?
I'm just lazy and really don't feel like watering and I don't like using fertilizer. xD
I let weeds grow for extra money, lmao.
I think diagonal planting will get annoying xD
whatever you do if you do it enough you get muscle memory
hahaha^^
so whey planner shows seed for potatoes and weed and pickles for tomatoes. know im confused, what is the best way xD
you cant have EVERY buff so you focus on what you care about
for more money
i meen for crafting stuff out of it and sell
if you want more money you should probably focus on harvest boost and quality (corn, wheat, rice for harvest) (cotton for quality)
so you'd do this one but cotton instead of potato (until level 25 when it gets easier)
like better pickled both and give it to worm farm for gold. or sell seeds?
seed potatoes it makes more quantity which sells for more then pickled potato
Cotton for quality is only useful until you're lvl 25, after that you don't need it.+use star quality seeds all the time anyway.
tomato is good pickled, even more when put in worm farms and selling the worms and fert
cotton you mean but yeah i mentioned : D
ah you got it
so you gain more stars with highe rlevel i assume?
Cotton seeds is good money too at the start, when you don't have apples/blueberries yet.
you can get an apple seed from ||naio or zeki at level 3 friendship|| and blueberry from ||badruu the same way||
you can do this in 3 to 4 days
ok pickled tomatoes for worm and rest seeds seeling
Current community estimation for star crop chance is 50% from star seeds and 2% per farming level. Also at 50+ you get star crops from non-star seeds.
sounds fine that way
wonder if paliapedia has these numbers yet
thank you so much ❤️
the one bug im missing (but shouldnt get into it out of the bug channel
)
I've patrolled Daiya farm for days on end, nothing D:
I'm actually curious about the strange mini-trees Hodari grows. I want a mini tree on my farm!
i am at 2 soil, with the same layout.
What do i do with the harvests?
sell all of them or do i make them seeds, or pickles?
if you can pickle then pickle the tomatoes at least
what about seed? do i make them so i can plant on next session?
yeah just keep an inventory consistantly
make sure you have enough to replant
thanks a lot
it's easier to keep track of where to plant what, if you only harvest one crop at a time and replant immediately. XD
I do that
harvest and replant? so switch f and number for seed?
i run harvest and than plant xD
(Palia) money made while I slept 🤌
So real
How can I make worms faster
make more worm farms and split whatever you're using across them
Thank you so much! I just started playing again after taking a break, so this is great.
used Arenvanya's guide to make this plot - only thing im not sure of is the corn - anything better i should replace it with? cotton i'll use for crtafting and potatoes for preserves
i cry over no water retention LOL
lolol ikr xD its why i invested in the exquisite pail xD
but idk how id fit tomatoes in there to cover everything xP
ooohh this is a really good layout though....do i actually need spicey peppers for anything? xD
I do 2 apple trees, 2 pepper plants and 2 blueberry bushes so I can get at least the apple trees and 2 of the bushes with all four boosts and the other 2 with 2 or 3 boosts. I plant potaties and tomatoes' for the water retain and carrots and onions for weed prevent and wheat or rice for harvest up, use apple jam and blueberry jams in glow work farm for speedy grow soil and use that, and then plant whatever else i want/need from there since I like to not have to think TOO too much
I only have 11 pickling stations and 4 worm farms so far though
Nope, I just grow them to eat along with corn, cause I'm too lazy to cook, lmao
maybe i'll figure out how to post a picture of it like the one above and also I am curious about my layout now 😂
the garden planner is a godsend and will export a png of layout for you https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/
lots of recipes, i think some for unlocking subira too if i recall right
theres achievements for cooking recipes
well darn xD
i guess i can rorate layouts and just like...plant spicestuff first and save them for recipes and then do more money-making one
just like hoard some for a short bit and switch out haha
so this is just one I did I usually don't plant so much cotton all at once but this one is for when my bush plants are full grown. When they are growing I priorities water retain and weed prevent on the corner ones 🙂
I forgot I always plant tomatoes that's why I was confused about how much cotton was on the layout 😂 fixed it 😂 I have glow work farms for the speedy grow and use the apple jams and blue berry jam 🙂
least costly way to make speedy grow without using up a whole bunch of sweet leaf and other ingredients
Here's a layout with one of each crop at least, 100% water retain and a decent money output. No fertilizer used.
forgot I am above level 40 in gardening so I produce high quality and only plant quality seeds anyway since early levels
THIS IS WILD.
I must study
This is me
oh oh my SO and I made a "cooking ingredient supplier" layout once
if youre gonna have corn and wheat (and possibly rice) might as well have them giving each other harvest boost
im just now at 9 plots but still have no clue what im doing i have no bluberry or apple yet but got 2 preserve jars
Oh yeah? Watch me grow 600 apples
i do have a few pepper seeds im looking at that google doc i saw linked earlier
yeah that looks right
just gonna try to get everything out tonight after i clear my field
bought a bit gonna try this
very clever harvest boosting
What are you using for that layout planning?
Click any of the links posted and you'll go to it
Oh wow. That's awesome and it looks like they factor in companion plants??
Or am I misinterpreting
it does
I'm pumped lol.
@sharp spire Crops just need to be different to provide buffs to each other, so apples will buff berries and vice versa, however Berries require 2 of the crop to affect it and apples need 3. So an Apple tree can have 4 buffs from crops surrounding it, but only if it has enough room around it to do so.
Wait what buff do apples give? I thought they didn’t give buffs 😩
Apples and Blueberries buff growth speed
Spice berries buff quality.
Apples and Blueberries are best for each other, since otherwise they take a long time to grow.
Or is that what palians call peppers?
Yeah, after you reach I think Gardening 7 or 8, you can buy Spice Berry seeds from Zeki. (At the very bottom).
And yes.
AHA! okay I thought they were a secret crop I didn’t have Wheew
does knapweeds hv any use?
it hints at it in their description but I don’t know that they have a significant use other than selling them and occasionally gifting to a certain palian (I don’t want to spoil it)
I keep like 10-20 in case
i dont hv rice tho
It’s okay wheat works fine 🙂
When you get rice though you can swap them out so you can have some for cooking if you need it 🙂
yes i figured thanks. im tryna grow cotton to get the preserve jars now
ok thank u very much
Cotton is more lucrative to sell raw than after it’s been in the loom (I have no clue why)
I spent the first 20 levels selling it as cloth thinking it was was more lucrative as linen/cloth (I didn’t look closely but assumed it would be because you know it was now a usable form on cloth) but ALAS.
Also quality cotton cant be quality cloth so thats wasteful lol
what is that u'r pickling?
u can put jam in work farms?
You can put anything edible in worm farms xD
But jam and pickled tomato sell better as worms and fert from worm farms
More profit
is this a website u'r using? cuz yall seem to hv the exact same thing
ooh ok thx
I just turn quality cotton into seeds to sell, and turn regular into fabric for myself (though I've not seen regular quality cotton in ages)
oh i think this answered my previous question lol
I've posted all kinds of weird layouts, not just purely for profit, but just to see how they could be planted if one doesn't want the 3x3. XD
yeah i dont get it
You either sell the weeds, or keep some of them for Weekly Wants.
ooh is it chayne?
ok ill do to... i hv like 144+ rn and dunno what to do with them lol
MIND BLOWN. 😩😭 why did I not take that into account 😭😭😭
There is no other use for them at the moment. Some Palians like them all the time, some only during the Weekly Want.
I usually keep like 10 of something, sell the rest.
yeah i saw and did some maths
oh noooo thats annoying
|| Chayne and Calerie || I believe 😊
oh woah
Time to get silly.
wait, how do u make jam?
wdym? sorry i dont get it
In the preserve jars 🥰
thank u!
oh same thing ok thx
yeah ive received a weekly want for it once b4
Also I was going to post this in the thread about cloth being less than quality cotton but my bad for not seeing cloth can’t be quality. Still my favorite way to say inflation though 😂😩😂
ook ok thx
ok thx so much
Apple jam sells for 98 gold regular
Quality apple jam sells for 144
But if you put the jam into the worm farm they turn into worms and fertilizer
Selling the worms and fertilizer for apple jam is worth more gold
Worms and fertilizer made from regular appla jam is 120 gold, better then 96 gold
Worms and fertilizer made from quality apple jam is 160 gold, better then 144
woah thx for the effort, lemme read now
https://www.paliatracker.com/gold-profit
Here you go.
ok thank u
Track where each crop/product is most profitable.
Heh. Not quite 5k, but close
You can get an apple seed from ||naio or zeki|| at level 3 friendship
Then you can use the seed maker to make more
The other way is getting to level 10 gardening and earning gardening medals to buy the seed
Yeah, it's better to get stuff from friendships. I think ||Bardruu or Nai'o gives a ||Blueberry /apple
My alt account got lucky and got one from the zeki gacha machine very early though lol
||naio gives apple badruu gives blueberry||
I once again share my lil doc of layouts from newbie to first apple tree to more leveled
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GyPgetnBlxypFaYzvGSyhGPntXnpMxsm_q8zvXYHEqg/edit#heading=h.4rn3fsx0rkaz
ok thank u
ooh ok thx
wow
how's this for profit thru preserve jars? (yes, i only hv 4 plots)
I love the square shape.
here's a better view
Ha, weedfree
Swapping out some corn for wheat and you can treat it as cooking supply.
At least they lowered the cost of iron but for dragons sake please make sure you dont have hundreds of weed or something lol
Ive never had an issue with having copper so far unless i let something useless add up like weeds
If there is one thing I enjoy about this game. Its, even if I am not in the mood to actively play it, I can always login and do my gardening and log off. Love the gardening in this game, its so soothing in a way.
Should I sell / pickled star tomatoes or seed star tomatoes?
I pickle tomatoes to give to Glow Worms when I want Harvest Boost Fertilizer.
I am new to gardening with only 2 plots. I am trying to understand what to do with my first harvest of tomatoes. Gardening lvl 2.
Just obtained the seed collector. Trying to figure out if I should put the star tomatoes in for seeds or just normal ones would do
i think its mostly all the mining and chopping

mining seem the most active profitable thing since i r new
i haz so much irons

Cakes?
For me it's always flint that adds up when I'm not looking
lol, mine was
is it worth putting star quality tomatoes in the preserve jar?
like do i get star quality pickled tomatoes?
I had the same question. Like putting star tomatoes into seed collector
oh so does that mean not necessarily if u'r not skilled enough?
took me a while to understand it, but i got it
sadly i dont hv any of those except for sweat leves
*leaves
Where can I find mushrooms?
the drumstick looking thing that is standing on the field is a mushroom.
I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I’ve went around the map multiple times and search my area as well:
look in majis and wispering banks
Question, how many times can i harvest my tomatoes?
Because I harvested them for the 2nd time and their stalk is still there, and it needs watering
if im not mistaken i think 3 harvests
thanks for the info
can someone tell me how long the hot paprika stays in plot? because we are not able to "delete" what we put into the earth i like to know how long it might take so i can move my earth xDD
you can 'delete' crops by using the right click action with the hoe... careful where you point it though! 😛 (you do not get any seed etc back when deleting though so bare that in mind)
you can "delete" by right clicking with hoe
omg ty so much
y 2 are lifesavers xD !! ♥
btw, anyone got some decent afk pre-apple designs?
Anybody have any links for up-to-date information on the worm and glow worm bins?
what to to do what extra cotton also sell seed or put it on loom and sell than?
for better prices^^
@loud plume @graceful stirrup
Turning quality tomatoes into quality seeds is good because quality seeds have a higher chance of being quality crops so you want to keep up a replant inventory
Quality anything is worth more gold then regular anything
Quality pickled tomatoes are worth more then regular of course
Amd even more momey if you put them in the worm farms and sell what they turn in to
This is THE doc to look at and what i use
Real appreciate for your info!
Is there a discord section for suggestions for the devs? Was just thinking how cool it would be if the farm at Badruu’s could become a community style garden? Where players can contribute seeds/soil/water each in game week, and at the end depending on how much you helped with you’ll get a small bounty of crops like a real life Farm CSA share
Hey does someone have layout for every crop? Specifically with only 1 apple tree
Here's one with two. And one with just one apple tree.
Post lvl 25 and pre-level 25 respectively
You can alter which you want more of when it comes to wheat/corn as well.
they can't read over discord as much so you're best sending a direct form to them

Can anyone explain/link to an explanation of how fertilizer works? For some of my tiles it disappears after one growth, and for others, it's had the same fertilizer persist for multiple crops now. Am I supposed to put it on every day? Once per crop? How much effect does it have?
You can put one type of fertilizer on each plant, from 1 to 99/100 units, and it gets used up one unit per day. If you add a different fertilizer any fertilizer that was already there gets returned
so if you want something to say watered 24 palia days, add 24 doses of water retention fertilizer
each of the plants gives a boost to the surrounding plants, so you could potentially have four different boosts, plus one fertilizer - the challenge is arranging your plants to get the maximum benefits
Thanks, that's helpful. So the tiles where I put only one fertilizer and it's still there after like 100 days of farming is a glitch then
sounds like, but also if the plant is getting the same boost from the neighboring plant, the fertilizer wont get used up
Oh, could be that too. I wonder
press the G key to see what boosts apply to each plant
It's like yield boost or whatever and I think it's next to Cotton, so that's probably why
if you want to remove that fertilizer, drop down a unit of a different fertilizer to get it back, then you can use it on a different plant
Right, maybe I will at that
i like coming up with different planting plans.. it feels a bit like sudoku with plants
While you're here, do you have any strategies for maximizing gardening XP? Or is it not all that important in the long run?
(I dunno if the levels max at 10 or something)
i think it's harvesting that gives the xp.. but gardening is my best skill so I just do a lot of gardening
if you watch the focus bar you can see it drops when you pick something
I've noticed tilling gives none, but I didn't pay attention to see if watering does anything
Yeah, I was just wondering if certain crops give more per day of growing or something I guess
It feels like gardening levels slow for me but maybe I just need to buy more soil
for me it's hunting, fishing and bugs that level slow.. because i'd rather be doing something else!
I do more bug-catching by reporting game bugs than by capturing insects lol
I need an XP level for that kind of bug-catching
Thanks for the info, Char
good luck with the gardening
harvesting and i think pulling weeds gives exp
@silver vine what I do is i have 5 apple trees with harvest boost and full thing 100% water retention
then i put pickled tomatoes and apple jam into worm farms, the fertilizer and worms sell for more
and I seed the potatoes because that's how they sell better too
i tend to have 20k when i wake up and 20k before going to bed
oh my im playing this game wrong
When do you get access to apple seeds?
you can get ||naio OR zeki to level 3 and the quest completion reward is an apple seed||
otherwise at level 10 gardening you unlock weekly missions that earn medals and you can spend the medals on an apple seed
either way i reccomend starting with one then making seeds from the first trees output so you dont have to worry about getting more
(you can also pull it from zekis gacha but very rare)
thank youuu
Ahhh okay i have not gotten any skills to 10 yet im assuming thats how you get the skill coins
yess
you can get people to level 3 friendship within 3 to 4 days if you gift and talk to them every day (you can gift 1 every IRL day and talk 1 every PALIA day which is 1 hour)
do the weekly want when you can (has to be the same as friendship level so if you're only level 1 friendship you can only give the first weekly want)
It's been like 3 days (real days) that I've been trying to force an all-weed plot, and I'm starting to wonder if there's some type of bug or update that's causing this not to be possible?
I currently have all my other plots empty, and a single 3x3 plot that I've just been planting and harvesting carrots on.
The plot is sitting at 5/9 slots with weeds, and those 4 remaining slots just seemingly... WILL NOT grow weeds. It's been like 8-10 harvests now, not using any fertilizer, but those last 4 weeds are refusing to show up and I'm getting annoyed. 😂
Any tips?
Do weeds show up on crops that are ready to harvest, or do they only show up during the growing stages?
(I've been harvesting and replanting the carrots as they become ripe, but wondering if I even need to bother harvesting them.)
Eventually I'll probably just nix the all-weed thing entirely and go for full crop yields, but gardening isn't my primary focus yet since I'm still fairly early in the game and would like to just not worry about weeding.
yes i hv been doing exactly that since open beta and thx to u guys for helping me discover how good the worm farms r, i will be converting the pickled stuff to worms and stuff and selling. thank u very much
whats the most profitable crop farmers
apples probably but some people do "dirty rice" ? lol someone else can explain that one
What happens if you give them a weekly want above your level
if they like the gift already they take it as a normal gift, you don't get the extra friendship points and you dont get renown
they might not usually like it and just give it back to you
Got it also what about if the are maxxed friend is it worth still giving gifts
if you realllly want the extra friend points and you cant do the next want, look up what starstone they will take
https://palia-wiki-gg.webpkgcache.com/doc/-/s/palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Starstones
you still get renown
Ty ^.^
which you should spend, until you run out of things to spend it on
I currently have a 6x6 plot and just crafted the worm farm. What should i be putting in the worm farm to maximize profits?
Ok. And i think i read it doesn’t benefit to put starred items in there right?
Ohh gotcha
For worm farm start with red mushrooms and sweet leaf early game
And meat from hunting
Could i use the meet cooking them use the dish in there?
I want to max all the skills eventually
Yes you can
Ok cool
Thanks 😊
https://www.paliatracker.com/gold-profit
This website helps you see which items are useful to put in Worm Farms and Preserve jars and which are better to sell as seeds.
