lucky on the hard htings not on the ez things lmao
Oh yeah, I don't have nearly the hard time finding elder flowers that others speak of
The lotus, I find at moderate difficulty
Maybe I could have found it sooner if I expanded my loop but I focused on f-g in row 8. Found a really good loop that also brought me across lots of trees and fishing spots. Gathering all the infected things I could along the way. Got almost 7K essence for the trouble getting the taters gave me. Enough to get the two furniture packs.
top me that hting is plenty
Lol,I always feel bad when ppl ask for tricks to making x appear more frequently... No other answer if they're already at right spots at right times: rng
whoever needs muuijin bhary or some other recipe started tell me
cuz i wanna cook stuff with someone for a few rounds
You still offering to cook that level 20 cooking dish?
The maajun dish
yes after my fishing trip
Okay np, just reply when you’re done
Can anyone help me and my wife make muujin bahari?
ok im ready
u 2 can come to
Ingame name is Darthvadar80
ok i helped master shifu tell me when u guys wanna cook
Thx so much again, absolute 🐐
Is there a list anywhere of the most cooking xp by recipe?
there is ren should have it
not sure if this is a foraging or gardening question, but why do some of the gatherable plants, like the fiddlefrond flower, have a little starburst in the icon?
Those things in red
Number 1 means that one is actually in flower form when you go to place it on your plot.
Number 3 means that one is in seedling form (needs to be watered).
Thank you!
Am i allowed to ask if someone has the muujin bahari recipe so i can join them to make it really quick?
Do u still need it? I have recipe
YESSS PLEASEE
My ign is Wanaciera just let me make sure I have all the ingredients first
I have most of the ingredients if you can just bring vinegar we’re good. It takes butter, wheat, corn, salt, meat, mushrooms, chili pepper, onion, spice sprouts, garlic, meat again lol, plant fiber, oil, vinegar, and a egg
Ill bring the vinegar and i have other stuff in my chest as well
Are you on right now or do you wanna do some other time??
We can do rn just join my plot whenever you’re ready
Thank you!!!
Give me like 2 minutes is that ok? Taking clothes out of dryer
Yea for sureeee
Can someone explain to me how cooking parties work 🥹🥹🥹
The short answer is that, generally speaking, you sign up to handle one step of the recipe and provide the ingredients for that step only (assuming it needs ingredients). Other people sign up to cover the other steps, and then you do the recipe a bunch of times (each time only completing your designated task) when everyone is all together. It's sort of like an assembly line, but social and cooperative (and, for many recipes, quite profitable).
Since anyone who participates in cooking a recipe (read: starts the recipe OR completes a minigame step) gets a copy of the dishes at the end, it's a great way to divide up the cost and effort, making it faster and cheaper to cook together than alone :D
The "anyone who participates" criterion also means that "overprep" is a thing: additional players beyond the number of tasks strictly needed for the recipe can do an extra step (using their ingredients, even though they aren't ultimately used in the dish) to get credit and also receive a copy.
Yep! As long as someone who does have the recipe starts it, then anybody can hop in
okay and how to give things so others can cook with me if I have all the stuff but they have none?
(doing with my sibling, they've never collected crab before, making crab pot pie)
It's possible for you to start a recipe step, then back out of it (F on PC, or the usual "cancel" button on controllers) to leave the ingredient on the cooking station. Then your sibling can interact with that same station and complete the minigame to get credit.
Alternatively, you can do all the steps but the ones that your sibling does have ingredients for - for example, chopping a vegetable.
ooohh!
thank you!!
Could anyone help me cook these:
Would anyone be able to help me make these dishes please. 🙏
- Steamed fish
- veggie chili
- meaty stir fry OR pan fry dumplings
- petit five
If you're still on I have the recipes for steamed fish, meaty stir fry, and petit fives
Tysm someone helped me already 🙏
Will do epic sashimi party in 1 hour 🥰 newbie always welcome 🙂 just need 100 rice, u can buy em from badruu store. Pm me 🙂
what do i need to make macaroons? like what stations
Two mixing tables
(one to hold the recipe, the other to grind the sweet leaf)
does anyone want to help me get a star quality muujin bahari? that's the only thing i have left for the bundles & i'm not cooking level 20 for the recipe 😭
I can help you
oop sry just seeing this and i realized it doesn't need to be star quality lol
I need one of these as well if you're still available.
I made my first successful bean burger last night, so I can finally complete the quest. That has to be the most difficult recipe in the game for me.
Where did you get the muujin bahari recipe from? I need it for bundles and haven't found it yet.
i don't have it because you need to get it at the shop in the inn at cooking level 20
thanks, I'm just 10 now and I didn't see it listed in guild shop, does it not appear until lv 20? I thought everything would be there just lv/coin locked
i think it should be there i don't remember 😭
Is anyone having issues flipping things? I time it perfectly and it just keeps going in that circle :(
no worries
thanks but I was trying to help someone
are you holding down button then releasing button to stop it?
Oh crap. I should be
no problem, the simpliest cooking thing (mixing) stumped me for a week, i feel the instructions for these (while super simple) aren't shown anywhere and I really had no idea i just had to hold button down to mix, i thought i had to press it dozens of times as one press per mix/stir
My memory is awful
Mine too
Thank you so much
Is it possible to find star quality bean seeds? Been collecting for a few days and nothing but regular. I’m trying to complete the achievement.
yes
If you ask in here occasionally, you may be able to find someone with it who can help you make it. Thats how i finished mine last night.
Is anyone here willing to make the muujin bahari recipe with me? I have all the required ingredients
i can
I sent u a frq
il hop on to help ya
i also need muujin bahari still 🥺
Hello. I also am looking for someone with the recipe Muujin Bahari that would be willing to cook it with me for the bundle. Thank you.
Is this the right channel to ask for a muujin bahari? I'll trade whatever might be wanted for it.
So I see I'm not the first (and I'm sure I won't be the last) to come here to see if anyone can cook a Muujin Bahari with my wife and I 😂 but if anyone is able to help with that, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Or a cake party would be great just to level up my cooking! 😁 Just send me a message if anyone needs/wants to fill that up
@errant python you guys still need help making that Muujin Bahari?
I do, yeah
I also am still looking, if there is room in a party for it.
Ofc
Am loading in the game rn, you guys can go ahead and send me a friend request, ign is Astrea Moreno
You can send me a friend request and come on over once I accept it
sent (:
@olive moon my plot is open, you can join me
Accepted
Thank you! did you get the others first though, i don't want to take someones spot
Plenty room
i've seen a couple places saying collecting 1000 oysters and opening them all at once will get my the smooth pebble? is this hearsay or something that has been verified. that is...so many oysters to collect
there's a chance you will but its never guaranteed as its rng based
Hey guys Im cooking with my friend and even after we both reached lvl 10 we still don't understand how to always get stars on our food, is there a way to get that ? thanks for your answers
starred dishes are also never guaranteed but ways to increase your chances include using starred ingredients, cooking the dish quicker, and not messing up any mini games (ie chopping, flipping, etc)
so there's no secret-cheat thing that guarantees a smooth pebble if you open 1000 oysters at one time
no
i can't believe people would just lie like that... on the internet of all places
Nope. The odds of getting it are about 1/1,000, but opening a total of 1,000 oysters (either slowly or all at once) only gets you to about a 60% chance of success (as in: 60% of people opening oysters would get the smooth pebble somewhere in there between oyster #1 and oyster #1000)
okay thanks to all of you
Expect 2,000 oysters and pace yourself :) Perhaps you will be luckier than that!
(Me, I just decided I'd gather 30 oysters every time I ran for the daily rummage pile in Bahari.... at least the oyster meat makes profitable glow worm food?)
I do too
im personally waiting for it to come to me
i'll get it when i get it
Ahhh crap that message was a while ago lol
This is the way
I'm assuming you all have done this already?
Yes but you can still come on over, I don't mind
Just send friend request and come one over once I accept it. Ign Astrea Moreno
drop probability calculator says over 4600 oysters for a 99% probability of seeing the pebble
Weird, says no results
Huh, that is weird
Did you maybe mispel it? I do that all the time
Is your ign Slye?
Oh I typed in ign 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Why thank you
Is your wife joining as well? You mentionned she neede this too
She does but she is actually going to sleep even though I told her there was somebody that could help us with this lol
She has to keep her schedule though. So this
If you have enough devices to log on at the same time, you can friend me with her account, come over, do 1 of the steps with her character and she'll get it too
☝️ Astrea rocks you guys
Aw thanks!
I'm just happy to help
I'm really frustrated with trying to get these darned black pearls! I don't know how I'll ever find one. The game has to start being nice to me here
Hi all, I was wondering how to get lucky fish and mushroom dumpling soup recipes? Wiki says luna new year market, will that be coming back? Or can I get the recipes somehow at regular maji market also?
Only during Lunar New Year market. It comes back every year, don't worry. Will come back for new year
Awesome thank you!
Same :/ I’ve collected like a hundred mushrooms
I've been trying to get more black pearls to gift to others. You're not kidding about their drop chance. ;;
i’ve gotten 2 black pearls in total so far lol 1 was for kenyatta and i think i still need more for something?
a relic? do one of the relics need black pearls?
The drop chance for black pearls is somewhere around 1%, so only 60% of people opening the elderwood clam mushrooms will get a pearl by clam mushroom #100.
we need a palia pity system lmao
Those are terrible odds!
I always tell people to expect about double the denominator
I mean... it IS an epic rarity item, and those are almost always 1-2%
Yes, Guiding Lantern IV needs one, too
Just over 1% drop chance for them from the hunting and foraging mystery bags, as well
...so you might as well just hunt shmoles and pick the mushrooms, at that rate, lol
So, in this case, that would mean: expect to need about 200 clam mushrooms for a pearl
But you might be lucky and get it sooner!
And that’s what I’ve been doing. Opened 76 today without finding anything. But plenty to feed the worm farm 😆
Heartdrop lily!!! You can get it from on the high cliff in northern bahari, but its quite rare so kinda hard to find. I'd recommend using a dowsing rod
thank you SO much!! ❤️
with dowsing htey are so ez to find
Heartdrop lily, it's kind of rare.
I’ve accomplished all dishes but sashimi. I’ve done everything that I read online to fish up the recipe. Does anyone ever managed to find and if so any tips bc im starting to go mental. 😩
sashimi is fished from Bahari rivers with no bait, any time of day. It's an epic-rarity drop, so somewhere around 1-2%, I believe. It looks like a message in a bottle when it "bites." Flooded Fortress counts as rivers, if that helps. Elderwood changed things so now it can drop from both open water and from the starred nodes/bubbles.
Make sure you don't already know it, too! We've had that happen once or twice, where someone had fished up the recipe a very long time ago and didn't know what it was.
Anyway, expect around 200 attempts before you fish it up. (But you might get lucky and fish it up sooner, or it could possibly take longer. It's RNG.)
thanks , great to know that the flooded fortress counts as a river so it should be easier to deal with
I have a question about cooking parties. If you join someone else's party, do you bring your ingredients in your inventory or will their crafters draw from your storage like your own crafters do?
if you're making a recipe with like fish and wanting to use specific fish first, i recommend bringing them in your inventory since the dishes draw from your inventory first, otherwise the cooking stations on their plot just draw from your storage :)
Thank you!
Can someone help me cook Muujin Bahari? I believe I have all the ingredients but I don’t have the recipe
Sad newbie player here, trying to figure out how all these minigames work. Do I need to have all the ingredients for a recipe in my inventory before I start? Or can the stations pull from my storage like other crafters do? I think I'm missing some basic step somewhere.
also a newbie, i believe you can just have those in your storage, i dont think that will obviously work at another players house though
if you have specific ingredients you would like to be used first, such as specific fish, then you'll want those in your inventory, since the stations draw from your inventory first, otherwise the stations just draw from your storage regardless of what plot your on, whether it be your own or somebody else's
Hi there. I'm trying to make macarons for the quest "The Great Human Bake-Off". I have the stove, oven, mixing station, and prep station and all the ingredients needed, but it's telling me I'm missing an additional station. Do I need to have like, two mixing stations or something? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
yes you'll eventually need two of every station to be able to make all the dishes!
that recipe specifically needs a second mixing station!
Good to know, thank you!
can someone who has the cream of mushroom soup recipe pleaaaase come help me make 1 batch hahaha
Finally made it! And some other foods that I can now gift! Thank you for the help!
can someone help me get my cooking level to level 6 so i can start making buleberry pies im level 6
Is there a sheet with all cooking recipes and its value/profit? Maybe also with all different kind of fish rarities as well?
wiki is best place for those details, probably not a spreadsheet thou
Yea no I can't work with that
I can't even sort stuff by profit or focus
sorry kinda new to the game. thought I had all ingredients. where can I get this one? 😦
You can make ground sweet leaf on the mixing stations using the sweet leaf
oh didn't see any pop up on the mixing station for it 😦
I'll try again thanks!
Im not sure but if im not wrong you need 2 mixing station for the recipe you're making. That might be why it didnt show up
ahh got it that's probably why.
how about for kimchi how can I get one?
Ahhh you make kimchi by putting bokchoy/napa cabbage in the preserve jar
yay! tysm for your help!
Np!!
Is anyone going to gave a cooking party soon that I could join? I've never done one but want to try
You can also check on paliaparty.app
Hi, I can’t spend much time on Palia, and would like someone with the recipe Muujin Bahari, I can’t reach level 20 that fast !!!
Ren has some docs that break everything down! #🍳│cooking-foraging message
you're missing a second mixing station as well, that's why the icon is red!
That's what I was looking for
Thank you very much
Does anyone need an extra Black Pearl for a quest? I got one and I don't need it ^^
what are black pearls?
white pearls that are black, you find them in elderwoods clam mushrooms. (open mushroom clams, like with oysters)
okk ty (i never was in elderwood buttt xd)
What recipe needs kimchi?! 👀
Ohhh. Sweet. I haven't gotten that one yet.
I believe you can buy it along with the other buyable LNY recipes from Reth's cash registers in the inn and Underground
It's pretty expensive to make as far as focus food goes, though
I recall seeing it but I couldn't remember if it was one that I had opened access to yet. I definitely want to grab it tho. And the fish taccoooos
Fish tacos recipe is sold by Reth himself from the cooking guild store - different set!
reth literly has 3 stores lmao
I have 600 focus points unlocked, what are some good recipes for that time? I can only stand making so many potato stews lol
free/unlockable preferred, i'm still trying to save money for the iron storage chests
At 600 focus, the most cost-effective option is still going to be either hearty vegetable soup (I recommend using tomato - cheapest/most abundant veggie) or perhaps Palian onion soup (though it does require buying flour, which you might want to avoid if you are cash-poor)
assuming you're mostly getting star-quality ones, anyway
Steak dinner is also a good one, but the recipe isn't free
However, it may be harder for you to use the star-quality ones (337 focus) since two won't fit in your bar
IF you don't enjoy cooking and you ARE growing beans and have the preserves jar unlocked, canned beans are a perfectly viable option
but if you'd like to dig into the numbers yourself, check out the What to Eat tab here for solo cooking analysis:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qPbCKTJg8xYlR1Pw60ZkaXAERRkXaMC0r3UZZKLWQ_g/edit?gid=41849516#gid=41849516
Ty for all the info and research!
What is a good method to raise my cooking level? I need to get to level 8 and I'm at 6.
Make food you haven't made before
Thanks!
Ofc! Gl
Is that a thing? 🤔 I know it is for furniture.
The fastest solo method is campfire foods: grilled fish, meat, and mushrooms. Set up a circle of 4-5 campfires, stand in the middle, and rotate from fire to fire to cut down on the time per recipe.
I personally recommend fish, since grilling unstarred fish that you were going to sell anyway will also improve your profits some whenever the grilled fish turn out starred. Meat and mushrooms are best used in other ways if you are profit-driven.
The fastest method overall is to join a cake party. 340 base experience per round, and one round of the Celebration Cake doesn't usually take more than a minute if you're in a full group. You can check #1143270926394335282 or PaliaParty.app (website where folks post public parties) to look for them. Sweet leaf is the easiest role, but there are also free roles that don't require you to bring any ingredients.
Other cooking parties (for focus food or profit) will also level you faster and more cheaply than cooking alone.
Of course, to level anything faster, you should already be spending your renown at the Phoenix Shrine in NE Kilima (in the cave where you first spawned in) to upgrade your focus bonus %. The maximum is 100%, or double XP on everything you do as long as you keep yourself fed.
Does anyone know off the top of their heads the size of kitchen I'd need for things lower than cakes? Is 2 of each station enough for the rest of the recipes? I guess besides muujin too cause thats also huge I think 😅
For parties, or for cooking alone?
For parties but just smaller size. I want a good secondary kitchen besides my cake setup that I can use for hosting focus foods mostly
Thanks! 🙂 I am more of a solo player.
This will depend on whether you want to allow overprep or not, but mostly you'll just need a bunch of prep tables - at minimum, as many as the biggest size party you plan to host, I'd say.
Most focus foods won't have non-overprep roles that would require more than 2 of the rest of the station types (oven, stove, mix), though there may be exceptions.
Maybe have 4 mixing tables, just in case? Though you can just have 2 out and 2 in storage if you want.
The maximum ovens you will ever need is (so far) 4, for Celebration Cake: 3 ovens for 3 cake bakers and 1 extra for the host station. Since you don't plan to host cakes, I'd have 2-3 ovens.
Overprep rice is pretty common for focus food parties (and sashimi/sushi), so you might want more stoves for that; same idea as the prep tables.
The host should have easy access to at least one of each station type required for the recipe, in case you need to step in if someone crashes or gets stuck.
It's also always a good idea to have "oopsie stations" available in case someone accidentally starts the wrong ingredient and needs to quickly swap to another, but how many you'll need will depend on the size of the group. For 4-8 people, 1 extra prep is probably enough as long as it's easily accessible. Folks using controllers struggle a lot more with UI jump, though, so if you have a higher proportion of console users, you might want to bump that up a bit.
So, that was a lot of "it depends," sorry, lol.
For me personally, my mostly-hosting-focus-foods setup is:
1 oven, with a second in storage
2 stoves, with more in storage
2 mixing tables, with more in storage
12 prep tables, with—you guessed it—more in storage (but I could probably get away with fewer)
I think it is? Or maybe the new foods I made just already give high xp
You are always so knowledgeable when you're in here I appreciate it so much! The "it-depends" of it all actually just gives me some wiggle room to decide what I really want to focus on so that works out. I have some things to think on, thanks a ton!!!
Happy to help :) I'd always rather equip people with info that they can use to make their own decisions for their own situations, rather than just handing them what works best for me with no context.
What level can you get the celebration cake recipe?
Recipe can be purchased from the Cooking Guild Store (Reth) at level 9, looks like
https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Celebration_Cake
But you don't need the recipe if someone else starts it
I would love to participate in cooking parties but I have no idea how they work or how to join/find (I've been playing about a month, haven't figured everything out yet)
So, cooking parties work off of the fact that anyone who starts the recipe or completes a minigame step as part of making a recipe will receive a full copy of the food produced (and also the full XP amount!) when the recipe is successfully completed.
This allows you to combine resources with other players, splitting up the ingredients and the work. This means it is cheaper for each person, and also generally makes recipes faster to complete, improving your chances of getting star quality dishes (which both grant more focus and are worth more when sold).
The net result is cheaper, faster focus food or faster, much more profitable dishes to sell.
For example, I just participated in a super-quick, 60-round Soon Tofu party earlier. Soon Tofu takes 1 egg, 3 beans, 1 onion, 1 spicy pepper, 1 garlic, and 1 rice to cook.
I brought enough beans to make the recipe 60 times (180 beans, because it's 3 beans each time). The host provided 60 eggs, and other participants brought 60 each of the garlic, peppers, onions, and rice.
We also had two people on "overprep" for rice: they made the rice step each round, in addition to the person doing the rice that was needed for the recipe. The rice technically went to waste, but the overprep folks got the food anyway.
Each time the host started the recipe, I made a set of Mashed Beans on the prep station. That's all I did: stood there and rolled out my beans while everyone else did their single roles of chopping or stirring or whatever they had signed up to do. Then the host threw everything in the pot, stirred, we all got 3 Soon Tofu when she collected it, and then the host started the recipe again. Repeat 59 more times.
In the end, in exchange for my 180 beans, I got 180 Soon Tofu to eat for focus. We were done in 30 minutes (it's a fast recipe), and all but 6 of the rounds turned out to be star quality. :D
As for how to find parties, you can find that in my earlier reply to urbanracer
How long have you been playing?? You know so much omg
Since January 2024
Anyone running a cooking party at all. New to them so would like to join one
Check #1143270926394335282 and PaliaParty.app (website for coordinating parties)
Look for beginner-friendly ones :)
Thank you I have now seen. I am thx xD
hi guys, can someone pls pls help me.. i just cant do the chopped chaapa in the standard stove :(((
Chopped chapaa? Could you send a screenshot?
yes just a sec !!
oh nevermind i got it 😛 i was just being dumb sorry
Very glad you figured it out!
Would anyone wanna come by for a quick Chapaa Masala party?
It already happened, sorry :(
does anyone know of any muujin bahari cooking parties happening soon? i don't have the recipe but it's the last thing i need for the bundle!!
-cough cough- wanna make it now?
I own the celebration cake recipe but it's not showing up when I'm at home and click "bake", help?
u taking the correct workstation to start it with
@teal oyster oh there it is! Didn't realize you had to start it at the prep station, ty!
your welcome
Hi! Does anyone know the best way to get Black pearl? I know through the Elderclam mushroom, but what's the best way to get it?
requyesting it form others who have a spare
can also get those clams from hunting smoles
Well i can't request because i never had the black pearl before
u got a recipe for relic that needs it?
please can someone explain how cooking parties work
in the message linked i explain how cooking/cake parties and if you have any more questions feel free to ask :) #🍳│cooking-foraging message
Seconding shmole hunting as the fastest way to accumulate the clam mushrooms. The pearls have a quite low drop chance, so expect to need a lot of clam mushrooms!
Okay!!
The area near the swamps to the west is the easiest spot that I've found, and if you party up, you not only get them down faster, you also get double loot sometimes.
To avoid your bags filling up with random mushrooms, split up some of the staircase mushrooms (starred and unstarred) in your bags and fill in the rest of the space with something else (maybe essence) so the extra mushrooms go into your overflow bar and get sent to your home storage. Then you can pull the clam mushrooms out later and open them.
Best focus foods? i’ve been doing bean burgers and celebration cakes since they fill my bar, but i feel like i’m losing a lot of money ingredient-wise doing this. Which food is the best for focus?
u doing partys are small group or self cooking?
just by myself or with one other person
i definitely do not recommend cakes or bean burgers if youre cooking solo or in small groups! Ren has a doc that breaks down costs and everything and i recommend taking a look at that to see what will work best for you based on what crops you grow and such :) #🍳│cooking-foraging message
but if youre open to joining cooking parties there are focus food cooking parties you can participate in and stock up on focus food!
oh yeay then cheaper foods are definitly better as lets assume each dish is same cost per focus but u overeat alot on those
thanks guys! i really appreciate it!
Hey, anyone need any help in the kitchen? Cooking parties? I dont have much in ingredients besides few hundred tomatoes. Also would be my first time cooking in group.
hi... how do i make star food? i need one for nai'o and got nothing wrong but its still not star quality ...
is it luck, skill or i should use only star quality ingredients?
there is luck (rng) involved but using starred ingredients, cooking the dish quicker, and doing all the mini games without mistakes does help improve your chances!
ooh okay thank youuu ❤️
Anyone have cooking party
Would anyone like to do a cooking party rn? I'm not sure how to do them/never done before, but I have soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, x12 butter, x19 cooking oil, x2 egg, x2 flour and salt to provide ☺️ let me know anyone
I try to make a recipe of non star quality and it keeps coming out star quality. It's Spicy Honey-Baked Muujin. Is that a bug or something? I even waited until the oven shows timer in yellow and it still ended up being star quality (I'm not using any star quality ingredients)
Problem solved, had to let the timer go to orange
its actually quiet random
Someone said the higher cooking lv you have the higher chance of starred dishes
Pretty sure that effect caps out fast though
I am looking for people to cook with? Anyone playing intersted?
Need 2 ppl —one for 50 heatroot and one for 50 rice
Paliaparty.app
Toadys Hallow
50 starred shark sushi
Starting in 25min
still need one for the heatroot?
No, full now ❤️
that one time i dont pay attention for 20min something usefull is posted here ...
Sorry 😆
That recipe has an unusually high star rate for some reason. I cooked about 30 of them with a group and we didn't get a single unstarred one.
(66 percent starred is more typical for most recipes not involving starred rare and epic fish)
my cooking level is only 15, lowest of all my skills
thanks, then I know which recipe to go for when cooking
tho I have cooked lot of foods because I was getting the two elderwood cooking achievements done
It's also nearly the only recipe in the game that is profitable to cook solo, because it sells for much, much more than it should
If you want one to eat, stuffed cabbage rolls are also weirdly high star rate
though, very technically if you don't care about eating your gold after it's cooked, the honey-baked muujin is teeechnically better from an ingredients cost perspective? But it requires honey, which is kind of annoying to get
that's all stuff you'll have to weigh for yourself, of course :)
I have 0 issue with honey I get a lot from the Grove in Elderwood
especially since I began farming essences around there
I do appreciate the advice and will check prices of both rolls and honey-baked muujin and chose based on that what to eat and what to sell
It's a bit difficult because gold is surprisingly challenging to convert into focus with any kind of efficiency.
Focus per gold eaten for bought food is about 1:1 for most things you can buy from Reth
So, unlike with fabric, "sell the cooked food and buy your focus food" doesn't really fully kick in until you're getting into, like, rare/epic sashimi and so forth
...I'm so sorry, I must be in a rambly mood today. I've done this in two or three channels since waking up XD
Is there any strategy to go up quickly in cooking?
Solo: 4-5 campfires in a circle, grill all your excess fish you were going to sell anyway, excess ogopuu meat (as grilled fish), and excess meat and mushrooms (though the latter three are best fed to glow worms raw if you want profit)
Group: cake parties in particular give the most XP per time, but cooking in groups in general will level you faster and cheaper than cooking alone
And make sure you have been spending your renown at the Phoenix Shrine to boost your focus bonus % (max is 100% = double XP on everything you do as long as you keep yourself fed)
Oh cool. Thanks!
By chance does anyone have the muujin bahari recipe and mind helping me cook it? It's the last thing I need for my bundles but cooking takes sooo long to level up haha
I have all the ingredients just am only level 10 right now
^if i could join this thatd be cool. i dont have the recipie either
i have opened maybe 60+ oysters trying to find Einar’s last shiny pebble
this is purgatory
I also need the smooth shiny pebble to finish the achievement. I think I have opened about 300+ oysters with no luck.
Me too. I've opened probably a thousand (throughout the whole game) and i still haven't gotten it
The pebble has a drop chance of 1/1000, so expect 2,000 oysters (but you could be lucky and get it sooner!)
Definitely a long-term project
… wow i was so lucky to get that thing on oyster nr 3
Still had to open 200 more for green pearl tjough lol
I need a good way to farm essence. This chopping trees bit is getting old quick.
Most common strategy I've seen is to group up with others, have at least one person with Bag IV and one person with Amulet IV, and optionally one person with Lantern IV, then run honey lures for the draugr beetle.
Why is it so hard to find one freaking black pearl?
I’ve been farming the mushrooms for three whole days and I finally have it
But oh gosh it was long
That's alot to find people who've done that. But I guess I'll shout and see. Might just do lure and bettles mysel.f
In a server am in we do that but in A4 cause flame frogs spawn there too on top of the beetles and they give lots of essence when infected. Those parties sadly always happen when I'm at work now but the few times I went when I took 2 weeks vacation from work we were getting something like 10k essence and some frog plushies out of it in about an hour iirc
does anyone know if theres a spreadsheet for cooking for the values of different fish being used in dishes?
yeay ren does
All i know is that if it is in your pocket it is used. I lost an ancient fish like that, never cooked with anything in my pocket since then.
where do i go for dragons beard
bahari bay, near the shore. Usualy i found a lot near the lighthouse when i am looking for oyster.
they're in this message! #🍳│cooking-foraging message
also if you search "faq" in this channel it is the message below it :)
In addition to my spreadsheet that Kiah directed you to, there's also this very handy infographic created by Sennel Deuragonov:
My spreadsheet lets you select ANY fish, but the infographic covers the ones usually used for profit parties. (I also personally include Midnight Paddlefish.)
❤️ maws u truly are the king o all the fish
What is the recipe I'm missing??
any cooking parties i can join? im very noob
i am hosting one
come join via palia party
still have spaces open for my cake party ! ❤️
does anyone have the muujin bahari recipe?
Pumpkin curry and rice
Thank you so much

On the subreddit, we're wondering why starred preserves can't be displayed in our homes. I think it's a realistic ask.
Just not a thing the devs put in. Yall can put in feedback requesting it
hi! i’m wondering if anyone can help. I plan to do a little cooking party just me and my best friend to get her familiar with cooking and just have a bit of fun without any stress. what are the best recipes for a party of 2 people to do?
I love steamed fish
Cream of tomato soup and steak dinner are also good choices
Not sure if it's the right place to ask for that: anyone in need of completing this week's pot luck, by any chance?
@trim shoal yes! Wanna come to my plot?
Hey Ren... I came here for something else, but saw you, and you are actually on my list to contact... [I keep forgetting to]
Has the Pumpkin 🎃 been corrected yet? I have noticed people are doing parties using recipes using it, but last I had checked it was still Broken so I figured if anyone would know for certain, it would be you.
I hate wasting mats if it is still known. Lol But I think you might remember that.
Thanks for keeping up and expanding on the great works of The Giants, Our Fore Fathers and Mothers! 💜
On another note, Can anyone tell me why the Clam is not an upgrade from the Oyster in Recipes? And Not Red Fleshed Meat? It makes no sense at all...
Have They/S6 not cooked or at least looked into the Clam?
We have needed an upgrade from the oyster for a long time!
Just image what a 🌟 Black Sea Bass Bouillabaisse made with the 🌟 Clam be worth!
And Why as Tamala not given us a Clam Chowder Recipe!
And the reason I say Tamala is because of the connection between Chowder and Cauldrons!
Because, she uses a cauldron, and Reth uses soup pots...
Plus, it would be the perfect way for us to finally get what so many of us have wanted for over 2 years!
An ever loving Cauldron
So come on S6
Give Tamala the ability to give us a Creamy, yummy 😋 Clam Chowder Recipe... Heck, you can give use two recipes... 1 for those weird people that like it with tomatoes, without cream... like a clamato juice, just very chunky, and, unleaded [nobooze]
And do not forget the all important Cauldron to cook it in!
What are your focus level totals?
I haven't tested pumpkin this patch, but ginger is still broken in the same way (counts 0 toward the dish sell value), and that's been like that since Feb 2024. I'm not holding my breath for pumpkin and kopaa nuts.
To my understanding, Elder clam mushroom meat counts as red meat as a vegetarian alternative, so people who don't eat animal flesh or don't want to eat the products of hunting (vs . slaughter under specific conditions) can still use every recipe in the game (including steak dinner, which is still a key recipe for new players). Same idea with muskin being a non-animal leather substitute.
So why, oh why are people still having cooking parties for these foods if still broken... 😐 it makes no sense to throw good away
You can still eat them just fine
Yes, but not make money off them, and some of the recipes are not cheap
low sell value doesn't matter if it's focus food shrug
oh i’m not sure what you mean. sorry i’m learning something new in this game everyday 😅
Arguably, high dish sell value makes it harder to eat something when you could have sold it instead
I have given up on trying to understand why people regularly make focus foods requiring Dari and heat root, or hosting "focus food"-labeled parties using vampire crabs; it baffles me.
If it is purely for focus, best bang for buck and veggie, is the veggie chili, cost 10G to make per batch and is very easy to get the veggies for... and 1012Focus, so no over the top gluttony on the focus eating lol 😆
Like people that eat cakes
Vampies are purely a for Profit crab...
And silk bonus
It's like putting gold leaf on top of the food you're serving for lunch
right in the sell bin
It causes tiny micro cuts, allowing booze to get into the bloodstream faster
uh, yikes
The 🌟 vamps sell or decorate with, because they are still not changing the price of recipes any different then non-star sigh
Then do my workout, so everyone shares the cost of butter, rotational vampire crab pot pies
Made with potatoes for the best price
Arh, sorry, missed your message. If you still need it and are still around, I'm up
I was hoping the clam would be a oyster replacement, should be interchangeable... the black sea bass bouillabaisse would be amazing Gold
It's too bad pumpkins are broken, because vamp crab pumpkin chili oil dumplings could have been an actually reasonable gold use for them. Spooky dumpling parties XD rice OP
but fighting the UI is hell with that recipe, even more than with crab pot pie - too risky
does anyone have the recipe for soon tofu? i need to make some for a quest
whats the best way to get infected essence?
The folks I know running essence parties are partying up with a full spread of tier IV artifacts and doing honey lures in spots that spawn a lot of uncommon and rare bugs.
If solo, running around hitting bugs and fishing in infected nodes is pretty effective; there are also "solo groups" that folks organize where each person goes and does their own thing, but sharing artifact buffs with each other
I would generally advise doing the stuff you like doing anyway, but make sure you have, at minimum, bag + amulet buffs. Lantern and idol are also helpful if you can get more people to party up.
Why does it take so long to find a black pearl?! 😩
because ittybitty drop rate 😔
shmole hunting may help you acquire the elder clam mushrooms a bit faster
WHO NEEDS MUUJIN BAHARY or osme other dish idc
i need to knock out some weekly stuff, i believe it is...first time i'm doing them tbh. think it's the one where you have to cook 3 things with someone else. if you're free, would you be up for it?
yes and we can comp it in literly 1min i got a speedrun strat XD
perfect! just saw that you need the bugs one too...me as well...wanna knock out that one too?
yes
great! lemme log in and send a req...n ty 🙂
is anyone available for a quick few mins to do a dish for my weeklies pls?
gimme a ping, tyvm, if you are 🙂
u know what il help ya
Wow I can’t find a black pearl at all… :((
they are very elusive
(I’m about to open 60 mushrooms, this is my luck message)
no wait u have to complain so it will manifest not sure if that works for foraging but it always works for fishing
are ya sure? i'd be very grateful 🫡
fingers crossed!
Luck doesn’t exist and neither does Santa /lh
how do u mean santa does exist we are all santa
or huint smoles
Whats the colored tile people use to mark stations at cooking parties?
Chopping board dye it
does anyone have the mushroom soup recipe we can cook together? i need it for a quest but dont have it
I’m not sure if this is the correct channel for this, but wasn’t sure where else to ask. Has anybody ever hosted a flow tree chop party on their plot? I’ve never hosted anything in-game before but I have about 80+ flow trees I wanted to share with newer players if possible…. What would even go into hosting something like that? Anyone have any tips or tricks for me??
Try posting in #1143270926394335282 and see if people respond it takes an empty plot or a side of your plot that's empty or nearly empty I personally never hosted that kind of party only cake parties
I have attended and hosted a bunch of these, but I don't have anything already-written I could point you to, and I'm a little too brainpudding atm to type anything up. If you'd like to poke me again later, though, I'd be happy to chat with you about it!
i've attended several flow tree chop parties and the most important thing to note is to make sure you're using an empty plot (or a spare plot) bc you will be giving all participants editor perms and it's always safer to just not use your main plot to avoid unwanted redecorating. also make sure there's a repair station nearby and let all participants hit all the trees at least once before you guys chop down the trees
Yeah, key furnishings for a flow tree chop are:
- chest
- repair station
- wardrobe (so people can change out of flashy outfits to minimize lag)
- optionally, a workstation (so people can craft repair kits or furniture)
I generally recommend no more than 300 or MAYBE 400 trees at once. 400 trees will drop 40 stacks of flow wood, which won't leave room for repair kits or focus food even if you send all the regular wood to your home storage via overflow. For that many, you'd need to take a break in the middle so people can go home and dump wood in the sell bin or force it into storage.
hii can anybody help me with muujin bahari please? its the last thing I need for the bundle and i can bring all the ingredients
I wouldn’t have thought of any of these furnishings so thank you so much!!
Can I help someone make the Majin Bahari? Just need that so I can claim the vault of roots statue lol
@fickle saffron @proven pier I can help with muujin bahari! Add me ☺️
My plot is chaos though so don’t judge 😂 I do not care about the decorating aspect of this game 🤣
All good 😂
Are you still online? I just realized it’s been a few hours
Sorry I just saw your message yes please!!! tysm
No worries! Add me and we’ll get cooking! 🧑🍳
ok!!
I’d like to cook with people if anyone still is! Newbie 😊
I cannot, for the life of me, find a black pearl. Circled Mauvais Way and De Mer Dock forever & just got clam meat 😭
Is it more common to find a black pearl by shooting those shmoles?
I've been looking too >.<
I can tell you in a few minutes
its cool lol, oi forgot i had it logged on palia tracker
Ok
The clam mushrooms the shmoles drop are the exact same ones you pick while foraging, it's just possible to collect them a fair bit faster if you can hunt the shmoles as a team
Gotcha, thanks ☺️
is this the proper thread to ask for help with the muujin bahari?
Unsure if this is where I ask about cooking parties! Please excuse me if not 🙂
you can join mine
What do I do with the link? I am unfamiliar with cooking parties. This will be my first!
click and follow the link. when you get there, it will have options to join roles, this will make more sense if you follow the link and sign up (choose a role) for something. some roles don't require ingredients as well, so if just starting out...look out for those too, if it helps you 🙂
in the message linked i give an explanation of how cooking parties work and if you have any further questions lmk :)

Can anyone help my gf and i make Majin Bahari?
I need majin Bahari also. Can anyone help us?🙌
getting on palia, I’ll help you both
Ty ty
my ign is Shino Sosaki
Added ^.^ my gf is gonna add you now
Gracias ^.^
Tysm! Your awesome!
happy to help, i have most food recipes other then fish stew if ya need help
im just checking here, but if i dont check the "use star ingredients", can i still add them during cooking or do i have to have normal quality ingredients?
nope cant use starrewd without clicking that checkbox otherway around u can but is complicated
basically 99% of the time just lcick that checkbox
damn, problem is i want to make one of the butterbean dishes and cant start it unless i have 3 starred, which i dont. meanwhile i dont have any star quality carrots or tomatos😭
oh so for recipe starting u do need it fully starred?
anywyas normally when allow starred is checked and u run out of starred it pulls unstarred
its cos its a starting ingredient
i learned something new u cant mix and match on the starting ingredients
anyone want to cook with me? i want to complete all the dishes 🙂
I just bought 100 garlic for soon tofu but the host cancelled the event, can anyone help out? I spent all my money lol
Can anyone help with the muujin bahari? I don't have the recipe and it's the last thing I need to complete the bundles
yeah come by mine!
nessa finessa
how do i help my friend make food while doing minigames without having ingredients to lower the quality? do i just do the last parts?
You'll only be able to do what you can. If you have any missing parts it will not allow you to do it unless its something like stirring I think?
why woudl u want to lower the quality?
anywyas u cna do any minigame / starting to count it and if someone else starts a step and cancels it it will pull ingredients from theri storagee
i dont thats why i dont use what i have
so they cant hold onto it?
yeay but it is tediouis
oh so u have unstarred stuff ic ic
Is there a way someone can drop off 3 star blue berry pies so I can have it display on my little bakery because I’m only a quest away from getting star blueberries to unlock the blue berry pie recipe
.
cant gift starred items so no
Awe okay that’s fine I’ll just keep working on gardening the berries then I got 6/10 so far 🙂
the best way would be to have them select "use star quality" and then you can start the mini games with your ingredients, back out of it and then they can use your ingredients, they could also do the same with you for regular quality ingredients!
I'd love to join
sign up and join the discord server ❤️
this is the new link i accidentally remove the other one
Can it be starred rice or only regular?
regular is okay
Where do you find Batterfly Beans in the Elderwood?
look at the base of the large trees, they are a tad taller than the orchids and are pink with green leaves. sometimes it’s a bit dark to see them
according to wiki, they appear in Mitana Grove, Honeymiel Slope, Okanaa Bog and Mauvais Way.
The bean plants also like to hide in the shrubbery
So if you can reduce your foliage density, it can help a lot
Otherwise, you can learn what they sound like and listen for them
(assuming you have game sound available to you)
any tips on gathering dari? is there a specific time and place they tend to spawn in?
northside bahary bay one per 30min or something
dowsing rod can help find it
30min irl?
yeay i think so its what i heard
geez okay. Thank you very much ❤️
They can spawn anywhere a sweet leaf can, as well. 5 minute despawn timer, 30 minute respawn timer, as DS said. If you're the first person to pick it, set a timer for 35 minutes and if you're still on the same server, you can go look for it then. Some folks also server hop and/or region hop to look for them. Me personally, I spend my foraging medals for them. lol
but I'm not too enthused by the foraging furnishings
Can anyone me help out with the mujiin bahari and trout dinner cooking?
Idk I kinda like little water lake with the bridge but Im not going to spend my medals on it XD
Thank you very much!
That's the only way to get the koi pond furnishing, unfortunately
^ why does this feel like a game of who is this pokemon
Crab gumbo and spicy rice cakes?
Hi hi. i need a muujin Bahari for my bundle and i am only cooking lvl 10. would anyone be so kind to help me make it in their plot (of course i will bring the ingredients) thanks
when uavilable?
now
lets go
anyone wanna team up with diferent relics and farm essence?
Does building campfires effect crafting table limit? I wonder if It counts as one
nope furnituremaking bench campfires and cooking stations are their own thing no cap
still dont build to many of such htings due to lag
would anyone be willing to help my friend and i cook the muujin bahari? We have all the ingredients just cant get the recipe yet
@calm gulch were you able to find somebody yet
I didn't but my baby woke up from her nap so I had to hop off lol
We are trying to make the bean burger but the game wont let us add the second ketchup it says we all have it but cant add to burger this has happened twice now any ideas ?
@calm gulch I'm trying to play now
my IGN is
Owen deathstalker191
Redd if you want to send a friend request
Ah, this is a weird thing about this recipe. It calls for 1 burger sauce (requires 1 ketchup) and 1 raw chopped tomato
If you cook 2 ketchup, using up both tomatoes, it won't let you chop another tomato: the 2 chopped tomato steps were complete, so the prep station closes. As a result, the recipe fails.
So, be careful to make only one ketchup!
(similar problems exist with phoenixfire relleno and lucky braised fish)
hi guys, i heard that some building blocks induce more lag than others, is this true? trying to make a cute, but not so laggy cooking plot and wanna know what other hosts did
al decors consumign loading time and client gpu some more hten others so yeay all can be laggy
and cooking plots can be super laggy cuz they all display that what u can cook what step is done stuff etc so dont have to many on ur plot (if this wasnt a problem i would have pout down 30 of each a long time ago)
I've been told that the gold blocks cause more problems for folks on Switch due to how reflective they are (requires more GPU calculations), but I'm not sure about the rest. It depends in part on how complex your structures are, but most of the time, once they're loaded, they're loaded
Stuff with animations/particles (flames, glows, sparkles) and anything that responds to the environment (flowers can be one culprit if there are a lot of them, since they blow in the wind) are more common problems, to the best of my understanding
But there have been a lot of optimizations made to how things display on a Switch
As someone who plays on laptop, cooking plots most of the time doesnt make bad lags as long as the plot itself isnt like very packed (i had a cooking party where there was a lot of flowers and trees that lags a kind of bad, but the fact that it was a party with a lot of op also contributes much to it imo)
In general, good principles are:
- minimize particles and animations (including z-fighting, where overlapping textures flicker and flash)
- don't have vastly more cooking stations placed than you need for the number of cooks + oopsie stations
- don't have the cooking areas up on platforms, if you can avoid it (can be hard to see who's in place)
- in general, the fewer decorations you can get away with, the better
Thank you soo much for all the info <333
as far as cook stations were, would 28 be too many?
No, 28-30 should be fine. I've just been on plots that were set up for four different full-server parties all at once and that lagged to hell as soon as a recipe started lol
Not really but do consider that anything nearing 30, you might have a bit of hard time getting everyone in the plot bc the server size is 25-30 iirc
Yeah, max 25 "naturally," 30 with server sync invites
Okay, thank you so much, learning a lot from this :)
Oh god 💀 i cant even imagine how bad the lag would be for thisss
lol yeah, it was... very very bad
Recently I went to a party where the host had, no joke, about 20-30 of EACH station laid out
30 prep tables. 30 stoves. 20 mixing tables. I didn't go looking for the ovens...
ive been to a few of those, im like, 30 ovens? 0.o
there is absolutely no recipe that exists where you will need 30 ovens
well i was gonna do 28 of 2 stoves and 2 prep stations, as an oopsie backup
Thats so many 😭😭😭😭 i sure hope that person does not have 20 ovens lol
Is there a guide out there to cake parties? I'm debating on joining one to level up my cooking but I'm not sure of etiquette or how they work.
3 is very much enough, 4 max if you want to host so you can have every station type in your host area
Yes, the wiki has one! I believe it's linked in the pins?
Wait so would this be 14 sets of 2 stove/2 prep?
er... 7 sets, I mean
nope like 56 total
ehh i guess i could just put an oopsie station in between some people
Thank you!
so it wouldnt be as many, good idea ty
Note that some of the cake party guide's numbers as far as gold aren't right (I think they weren't updated for 0.180? I'd have to double check) but the overall structure of the party and the roles are correct
I personally try to pick up any stations I'm not actively using for the current party type
For example, if you're hosting sashimi, all you need out are 3 prep stations (1 for start, 1 for fish, 1 oopsie) and then as many stoves as you plan to have guests (max 28, more realistically 23, or fewer if you don't want to fight to get people on the server)
Because people making rice OP for sashimi tend to be moving really really fast, accidental "snacks" tend to happen sometimes
but picking up all the ovens on the plot prevents accidental unstarred Akwinduu Chapaa XD
oh yea i wouldve picked up ovens
and picking up mixing tables also avoids other accidental recipes
And, as a bonus, also reduces lag \o/
i was only gonna have a sushi/sashimi/tacos cooking plot, not cake, so no mixing stations
i dont even need ovens either actually
Sushi will need a bunch of mixing stations if you want to have sweet leaf OP, but yeah
ohh okay right
hello! is there a specific time to get the sashimi recipe in proudhorn pass?? i've been fishing for it in a while > < still can't get it
Most of my produce--including tomatoes--are star quality, so I always check that box when cooking.
is 10 of each station and 5 ovens enough for cooking parties?
Anyone level 20 in cooking and feel like cooking together? Muujin bahari is the last thing I need for my bundles so I'd be eternally grateful for the help! I can bring over all the ingredients too if that helps!
Depends on the partys u run
Idk I'm planning to do mostly achievement and bundle stuff for max 15 players at a time
Then it should be sufficient
Thankss
No recipe has more than 3 oven roles, so 4 (one for host area in case you need to cover for someone) is more than enough of those :)
I'm a little confused - I don't understand how your message relates to the one you replied to - can you help me out?
It's not time specific (and not specific to Proudhorn Pass), just a very low drop chance when fishing in any Bahari river fishing spot without bait. You can do it! But take a break if you need one!
if anyone still needs their whatever cooked this week im available this evening
is this offer still open, pls?
20min
Anyone doing a cooking party? In need of food and I don’t have friends to do it with! 🫠
You can also check #1143270926394335282 and PaliaParty.app (not app, just a website)
is there anyone that would like to help me with making mujiun bahari? i didnt get the recipe from the quest and i dont wanna wait a week to buy the dish for the wall
I've been thinking about joining a cooking party, so this is a lot of great info. Thanks a lot.
Hi guys I'm new here on the discord server and I played palia for around 150+ hrs in steam so a bit of a newbie any ideas of the drop rate percentage of black pearls because I opened a 100 of them and nothing at all and btw what to do with shells?
black pearl is from oyster CLAMS(mushroom) shells are for crafting some decor
unlkes u somehow colelct the clams with the shells ... then i apologise
Very very low - less than 1 percent from opening elder clam mushrooms
Shells are used for crafting certain furnishings, some from recipes from the Bahari rummage pile, some from a quest line added in EW
theyr enamed em into elder clam strange in my game it keeps calling em oyster clams
I collect alot of oysters for the pearls, and I got alot of the green and normal ones so the shells are just some of them on the bay and I go to the elderwood to trying to get the black pearl and no luck at all
rng is mean
Rng gods knows no mercy
and then i t randomly bleses u what very rare items nonstop
Shmole hunting in groups can be an effective way to collect the elder clam mushrooms, if you get tired of foraging for them
+plush chance
anyone know if the flotato and ketchup recipe is broken?
and infinite staircase mushrooms for your glow worm farm and loom XD
Works for me but it had a bug when I made it first
Broken how?
ive tried 2 times now, its not letting me cook the potato section of it?
Won't allow you to make the sauce in the mixing table
Oh we had a different problem with the same recipe.😆
oh yea mines different, i can cut tomatoes and cook tomato ketchup, i can cut potatoes but i cannot cook the potatoes
I tried rebooting my PC and game for a few hours and was able to cook it
Do you have cooking oil? Fries cook on the stove same as ketchup
(it's a flip, hold down and release when circles line up, in case that's the trouble)
that miingame kjeeps being bugged in random ways for random poeple though
if the flip minigame doesn't respond to inputs (just spins), sadly that's a bug that happens sometimes
it's not specific to that recipe
i think thats whats happening with me ;-;
Damn
i just tried something else and it didnt work still
Someone else can come help you with the flip if need be
for me it varies between hold release and tap tap
never have I ever been able to tap to complete it lol
you can tap to start it going, though
its so awkward since one of my fav dishes has a panflip
vouching for this and even shmole hunting solo is pretty efficient imo
Yeah, just be prepared to end up in a constant cycle of bags appearing on your compass 🤣
the shmole vortex
why i prefer hunting puus instead reason 1/3
Hey all, wanting some feedback.. I’m seeing so many nasty comment IG chat these days about the Grove in Bahari and people chopping ‘early’.. but I think people are forgetting that when Xbox and PlayStation came to the game, all us old players were over in EW and not around to teach about the 3am unwritten rule… so now everyone is back to normal and the ‘new’ players are smashing down groves as soon as they see them, everyone is getting so heated..
Am I the only one seeing this and thinking this??
Can we please remember to be nice and teach players these unwritten rules before trying to take them down.
i personally alway tell them to ask in chat if anyone else is on their way to chop itr to and to give others a chance to chop it but good point
i've seen many a heated debate over on fb about this...most seem of the opinion that it's their game and if they wanna chop early, they will, so yes there are those that don't know the unwritten rules, but there are also those that know but don't intend to follow...i've come across that a couple of times where the grove was found and chopped whilst i was still omw...and people arguing about why they wouldn't be waiting when asked to wait...
i just think it's a case of jump servers ...no point engaging...can't stop someone that knows but doesn't care from chopping early...
thats why i tell em yo just ask if anyone else wanna chop it to
like thats all they gotto do ask wait 10seconds
for sure. sometimes it works, too. but the last one i saw was surprising. they were a party of 3 and littered chat with expletives n just carried on chopping. luckily a rare occurrence, in fairness. on the whole, the servers i land on have really nice n helpful and collaborative people
got one time that the whole week it kept being insta chopped
and since u get pushed into sewrvers based on part then friends then community and not blocklist i unfriended the cursed one so it stopped happening
this is it right here. i wish that friends lists and so forth didn't impact servers we land in but it does.
i don't know if i got unlucky or what but anytime i have been in another regions server other than my own...the experience hasn't been as positive. potentially confirmation bias tho
i havent played palia in a long time so fogive my ignorance but did they not add more flow trees in elderwood? seems like a higher flow tree spawn would be approriate for elderwood not that i have been there...
elderwood has infected tress. bahari remains the only place where flow trees spawn 🙂.eta: occassionally you might get the odd flow tree in kilima but ime it's rare...more is always to be found in bahari tho
i see. thats unfortunate
Me too, it takes no time to let others know of these unwritten rules and if it gets chopped then it’s an hour IRL to get another grove. I’m just shocked with the amount of anger over some trees. In a multi player game with ‘no rules’ it’s just a point to keep communication going ❤️
yeay but it gets really frustrating when ur trying to hit the chop 5 fts weekly and need to do like 5 attempts
but yes just ask in chat to give others a chance and ask others if they are on their way is the best way
Yes! Jump! And IRL for 1 hour for the next grove just doesn’t seem worth the fight.
yeah the whole chop 5 a week was a challenge when i did play palia it was like once a week. generally not a fan of weeklies and i will avoid anygame that has any type of daily
on the whole, i'm with you...i suppose if i ever get a twinge of a reaction/irritation, note not angry or ragey lol, then it's to note to myself that if we all started doing this...the game would fast become (and feel) less welcoming...but i might be overthinking it..idk
This makes me crazy. It’s a family friendly game. I have a friend whose kids play this and when they see the anger/swearing on chat want to pull their kids off… and I get it! But come on peeps, it’s a cozy game! Just pass it over and crack on with your day
it's a difficult one, luna...i see what you are saying and don't disagree...and i'm happy enough to jump servers as standard gameplay practice as a solo player...i think where i'm a bit concerned is that if this type of thing persists, then we might lose that collaborative play that currently still exists in the game...but yeah, it's a difficult one
ty for making ur point luna
there is swearing in chat? i thought the chatbot was overly sensitve i remember typing something about killing a chappa and kill got censored
well, yeah it gets censored...lotsa stars follow lol...but it's not difficult to work out what was said sometimes given the context
true that.
100% agree!! What started out as a wholesome game of coming together as well as solo play has turned in to an anxiety driven interaction stop! I love this game and have come across some amazing players and life long friends. But some servers bring a downer on the experience and a question mark on the family friendly play
i once got flamed for chopping at 0300 cuz apparently when there was lunar new year event u were supposed ot chop at 0430
and i was like yeay we are not gonna waste everyones time that much
ok 0430 i feel is pushing it. like if people want the grove they need to be there by 3 imo
if they cant get there by then flow trees are not high enough on thier list
like i jsut need 5 flowtrees per week and i dont have that much playtime
but if poeple need to be there nonstop or osmething go to a flowtree party man
Felt I got tired of trying to reach the groves in time so I went to a flow party early in the morning today and left with about 7-800 flow wood (so I should be good for a while)
i need to chop 5 for the achivement XD attending a party is to much for that but yes if u need the wood do that gj tee
Hiiii is anyone lvl 20 in cooking and can help me make the muujin bahari
Hii is anyone having/ or knows someone who's having a cooking party
i suggest checking on #1143270926394335282 or the paliaparty website, there's always a ton of public cooking parties there
I have kind of a dumb question. Why does my recipe center say "cooking station required" for my bean burgers? I'm pretty sure I have every possible cooking station?
not a dumb question you'll need two of every station to be able to make all recipes!
Two!?
That ... is ... insane
Just what I was gonna say
But thank you @marsh drum I was about to lose my mind!
Personally, I would scavenge for more
That's not even 100, so not great, odds-wise, but hey, you might be lucky!
The drop rate for black pearls appears to be under 1 percent
Planning to get around 200 of them
I will share if I'd be able to get a black pearl on it
Good luck! 🍀
Is the only way to obtain Muujin Bahari via the Lv 20 recipe? It's the last item I need for all the bundles.
or cook with someone that has the recipe
So I got the fish stew, fish taco and sashimi recipes learned, which one would be the best to get a profit from my fish ?
i've just started (levels all below 10) should i keep gold bars or sell them
i also don't have a lot of money
Gold keep they are to useful later for their coins value
what should i focus on selling right now at low level
Almost anything unstarred common/uncommon
There are only a few fish of that rarity with actual uses all other items u can ditch
And keep enuf seeds to always be able to reseed
im currently just growing tomatos and corn and selling it
also to help level up my gardening
Do u turn em into seeds or jars first? Thats more money
If cooking solo, fish stew is the only of those that will be profitable (if using all unstarred ingredients), but both fish stew and sashimi are good in groups.
In my experience, fish tacos are annoying as a party recipe because of the risk of accidental fish overwriting the rare/epics from the fish bringer(s), plus everyone on corn has to fight the UI the whole party, and rolling is slow.
Sashimi is popular in particular because there is no chopping required from the overprep folks, rice is fast to grow, and also fast to prepare, so the parties go fast
Imo fish stew is best for "lesser" fish (unstarred rares and perhaps lower-tier epics) because garlic is cheapish to buy, so it isn't asking anyone to commit their garden tiles to the purpose
Thanks for the detailed answer 🙂
I got one! I got one! I got one! Foraging mystery bag from an Elderwood treasure chest!
**Our third cake party together! Many more to come @wraith bear
**
Anyone wanna cook with me?
Just got off palia, sorry. Been a long day!
It’s ok
Is anyone doing a cooking party? My partner and I play together pretty much ever night but I find cooking boring so we were wondering if there was any chance of joining a low key cooking party
You might have a look in #1143270926394335282 and also on PaliaParty.app (though no guarantee of "low-key"!) - maybe look for beginner friendly ones? They tend to be a little more relaxed.
You could join me and my partner. We were looking for a cooking party too and I still need to hit LVL 10 cooking coz I get bored with it 😅
How are people getting flow trees on their plots? I thought the gardener statue thing would give me flow seeds but it's been like 3 weeks and I've not gotten a single one? Are they that rare or am I missing something
its quite rare to get flow seeds from it, u just gotta be patient. once u do get a seed and fully grow it u should be able to collect 1 seed back from it but just one
Ahh good to know the tree itself gives a seed, thank you. I will keep trying
Anyone wanting to cook? 🧑🍳
Make sure you have completed the follow-up quest which unlocks the ability to get flow seeds from the statue (The Gardener's New Oneness)
If you haven't completed the quest, you won't get any flow seeds, only regular tree seeds. The chance of getting any of the 4 flow seed types is ~25% (75% chance of a regular tree seed), once you have them unlocked.
hello!
does anyone know how to get the fish stew recipe?
Bahari coast, regular worms, and fish outside of the hotspots
Or in hotspots, too, post-EW!
True! It's been so long!
Thanks Ren
thank you guys so much!
So since EW was released Jess, just fish anytime anywhere along the coast with reg worms
hi guys, can anyone help me about the palia party app? what happens after I sign up for something in a cooking party? cause there is no description on for it and I didn't see when the party would take place
Open new tab to see the party list again that should show time to or the clock thats displayed
If there's no description and no time set, 99% of the time it's someone making a test party to check something on the flowchart and not a real party
However, you can check at the top of the signups modal to see the time (displayed in your local time). If it says "so many minutes ago" then either there was no time set or the scheduled time has already passed/the party has already started.
It also shows the host's name, which is also usually their IGN.
If you're not sure, you can always ask in the chat on the party page and see if the host answers.
thanks a lot! this was actually the one I signed up for lol, and it already disappeared. useful to know that these test parties exist because I see a lot of them with no info.
Usually the person creating it remembers to make it private, so it doesn't show up on the front page, but public is the default, so it happens sometimes :)
anyone knows what food needs to be star quality and what food doesnt need to be in a cooking party?
so I already found one for the kenyatta quest but do i keep this one or are there more black pearl quests?
Generally speaking, the more star quality items you have, the better. However, items that are worth more gold (when unstarred) tend to weigh more heavily in the star rate. For example, the quality of your rare fish (400+ gold unstarred) or epic fish (1,000g+ unstarred) will weigh FAR more at a sashimi party than the spice sprouts (23g) or the rice (27g).
Likewise, blueberries (39g) plus apples (96g x 3) weigh more at a cake party than the sweet leaf (23g x 4).
As a rule of thumb, typically it's a good idea to require starred fish and produce, and optionally starred meat (as it's relatively easy to get), while forageables do not need to be starred.
It is also required for one of the relics
and for the pet quest also, I believe?
ya you 'd need 2 for the main game and 1 for kenyatta quest if u chose that
hi guys, is fish stew the easiest epic/legendary fish party to host/coordinate?
or sashimi
oooh yeah sashimi looks even easier, tysm!
fish tacos also exist but they are more annoying to make
sushis problem is dari clove bottleneck pokebowl same as fish tacos and suhsi
would dari clove fish stew be more than sashimi? im assuming yes
yeay but dariclvoes are very tedious to stockpile
awesome, ill throw sashimi for special occasions then haha
they respawn in the wild once per 35min per world
or u need to spend ur precious foraging medals on em
Anyone possibly able to help me make cream of mushroom soup? I dont have the recipe but need it for a quest. I don't have heklas key yet 🙃
wow, yet another thing that is going to drive me insane. starred flotato. who knew it would be this elusive? not me, that's for sure
i'm sorry i've just seen this...i could have helped... perhaps if we are both online later and you haven't been able to find anyone else, i'd be happy to help.
I only got one in the last week and it's not even stared.
2, not starred...dear lord this is painful...i mean, i must be enjoying it in some place deep deep inside or i wouldn't keep at it...but it's kinda grindy on crack atm
I also need someone to help me with the creamy mushroom soup 🥺
I do still need it 😊 Ill be on whenever. Just lmk 😊
hey everyone ! idk if anyone asked this before but what is the most efficient fastest way to level up cooking m at level 10 i only need level 15
hey! i was wondering if anyone is doing a cooking party at any point today? its 2.30pm for me rn in the uk! i’ve never done one before so i need some guidance <33 thanks x
Hi, just curious, does anyone know how this happened?
Somehow I got more money for less sashimi?
depending on the fish used i guess
Ohh that makes sense, thank you!
How did u attend so many maws partys lol
Anyone collecting elder clam mushrooms and want to team up? I’m losing my mind trying to get a black pearl haha
can hunt smoles ofr it aswell
True but usually only get 1 or 2 and it takes so many arrows
Any cooking partys going on right now?
In about an hour, if that works? And maybe artemis could also join us if available?
Are you available in around an hour?
Any cooking party right now? Please let me join I am broke and badly need gold coins.
You can also check #1143270926394335282 and PaliaParty.app (not an app, just a website for coordinating parties)
Solo, campfire foods. Grilling any unstarred fish you plan to sell is always solid, but meat, mushrooms, and oysters will also serve (though it's more profitable to do other things with them if you can, like feedign them to glow worms). You can also make fisherman's brew, but it actually loses a bit of value if it turns out unstarred, and you don't go through it THAT fast while fishing. Grilled foods you can at least eat, in a pinch.
If you're willing to do group activities, then find some cake parties and attend those! Super fast XP, 340 base XP before focus bonus per round of cakes. There are no-ingredient roles available, or sweet leaf is the easiest role, since it's first in the chain.
Make sure you have plenty of focus food!
And if you haven't been spending renown at the Phoenix Shrine in NW Kilima to upgrade your focus bonus percentage, I highly recommend you do that ASAP. Focus bonus % caps at 100%, or double XP on everything you do as long as you keep yourself fed.
Grouping up makes it super fast! I must have come home with 60 of the dang things today
thank u sooo much for answering me m gonna post in parties to let people know m available for cooking partiees and in the meanwhile ill try the camfire thing
How rare is black pearl. I must've opened a hundred clam mushrooms. Still no pearl.
I've only just started doing cooking parties so I try to do every one I can fit in, those are only two cooking parties worth, one of them was 150, and the other 250 😅
That's quite the start to cooking parties.
yeay like doing it like a champ
Can anyone help me with the muujin bahari recipe? I think I have all the ingredients just not level 20 yet and really trying to finish my bundles
i might help poeple again wednesday though
https://paliaparty.app/tb21v9 Cooking party with Dorathedestroyyer... any takers?
cake party happening now https://paliaparty.app/1u3g97
Can me and a buddy of mine join someone’s house to make muujin bahari? It’s the last thing we need and the grind to cooking lvl 20 is crazy
hang onto your hat! they are REAL....they EXIST!
...
best way to get your cooking level up? im level 9-12 on everything else and started not to long ago but my cooking is level 1 still..😂
any good ways for starters?
lmk next time you host a cake party please!
How does one calculate the potential value of a cooked dish? I know quality plus type of ingredients used and time are factors in determining this but is there a formula of sorts? For example how would I go about determining the different values FISH STEW could be worth in gold if it's made with MAWS vs GILLYFINS ( a bit of a ludicrous example but basically: why are some stews worth 50 gold and others 1k gold ) I'm expecting the way to calculate this should work across all recipes in a sort of X= this Y= that type thing (im not near fluent in math sorry if that splanation is silly or confusing)
Yes, there definitely is a formula!
Dish Sell Value Formulas
Kitchen-cooked Recipes
(i.e., any item cooked using multiple steps)
Unstarred Dish Sell Value = RoundDown (0.375 * [Sum of Unstarred Sell Values of All Ingredients])
The base dish sell value is always based on the unstarred value of the ingredients used, even if you use starred versions of them.
However, proportion of star quality ingredients (almost certainly weighted by sell value) is one of the factors that affects the dish's chance of turning out starred, and starred dishes get a value upgrade:
Starred Sell Value = RoundDown (1.5 * Unstarred Dish Sell Value)
The formulas above give you the value for a single dish, but if you don't miss any timed steps, you get 3 dishes per set of ingredients.
There are a few anomalous ingredients: when chopped at the prep table, bok choy, napa cabbage, ginger, green onion, pumpkin, and kopaa nuts count ZERO toward the dish sell value formula. (However, they contribute properly when used as a starting ingredient or when incorporated as other sub-ingredients, like blanched cabbage.)
There are also a few anomalous recipes that don't calculate the dish sell value formula correctly, for some reason. Currently, stuffed cabbage rolls uses fixed values for the meat and mushroom variables (using pre-0.180 values for morels and meat, funnily), and spicy honey-baked muujin has an absurdly high sell value that does not line up with its ingredients.
Campfire Recipes
(e.g., grilled fish, grilled meat, congee...)
Unstarred Dish Sell Value = Sum of Unstarred Sell Values of All Ingredients
Starred Sell Value = RoundDown (1.5 * Unstarred Dish Sell Value)
Campfire recipes produce 1 dish per set of ingredients.
Do you collect loads and then open them up all at once? I got 4 doing that. Used one and gave one away, have 2 spare if you run out of energy to search.
Opening them up one at a time vs. all at once is unlikely to change your chances of getting a pearl, but it's certainly better for morale, in my experience XD
One experience of disappointment rather than 100, or, if you're lucky, one experience of success. XD
So much of dealing with RNG is a mental game, I swear
Harrumph, the server has decided that my spreadsheet link is verboten, but if you search for "cooking party math" in this channel, you should be able to find it
nooo free the spreadsheet
Finally got one. I now have 141 elder clam meats, and I think I gave one as a gift, so it took a total of 142 clams to get a single black pearl.
As far as opening them, I was opening them as soon as I got them because I didn't want to spend any more time than necessary on the clam hunt, and as soon as I got one that was the end of the clam hunt, so the sooner I opened them the better.
Wahooo! Honestly I hate/love these parts of the game. Black pearl was fine for me but the started Ogopuu scale took A WEEK
Oh I don't mind it at all. None of these quests are urgent, so I can put gathering these resources off, or fit gathering them into my other activities. It'll get done sooner or later. I have infinite patience.
And as for the RNG, I know it's sitting there in the stack somewhere, I just have to dig deep enough to get it.
If you think of it purely in probability theory, it'll drive you nuts because each dice roll is independent. You're no closer to the black pearl after opening 100 clams than you were when you started. This is not how I think at all.
So in such cases I think of the universe as a deterministic block universe. I will get my black pearl after opening x number of clams, whatever that predetermined x number happens to be.
That means with each clam I open I am making progress towards my goal.
Embrace the gambler's fallacy and become one with it.
I mean, the odds of a losing streak 2,000 clams long is very, very small, for example
very few people will have that experience
but someone could, is the problem
I usually set my expectations at about double the denominator of the drop rate
Yeah. I'm an advocate of such low probability RNG having a pity system. So on 200th or 300th roll you are guaranteed the drop.
Because otherwise there will always be people with the worst luck and it will be a terrible experience for them.
Yeah, so that final long tail of people don't have to suffer
Do the numbers. Let's say we have a million players in a large MMO. The event is a 1% chance. Roughly how unlucky would the unluckiest player of the bunch be?
And what if that item is needed for the main quest?
It's something like 1100 or 1200 tries.
But this is a tangent. My point was about how to think about statistically independent events. One can say "After 100 tries I'm no closer to the goal because each event is statistically independent." And one can also say, "After 100 tries, I'm 100 tries closer to the goal"
And both statements are true. They are logically equivalent. It's a matter of perspective.
To be in the 0.0001% of unluckiest players (the unlucky one in a million)...
I think I did that right? XD
I think you solve the equation 1/1000000 = (1-0.01)^n. Take log of both sides, etc.
I may have flubbed the decimal places, because chopping a 9 off the end knocks it to 1146 (your estimate)
Yeah, that sounds correct
Anyway, it's over a thousand.
Yeah
(I'm not disagreeing with you at all, just got curious to see if I could actually dig out the number using the tools I had available)
And this is why I say that dealing with low-probability RNG is a mental game lol
The Zen of RNG.
I personally don't actually track my number of attempts; I figure it will happen when it happens as a consequence of doing whatever I am doing
I just... strategically position myself to open the possibility XD
and set other, achievable, non-RNG goals
You just have to put in the work.
"I'm gonna go shoot shmoles until I run through this stack of arrows"
Achievable ✅
Sets me up for potential success ✅
Works toward other goals, like feeding my glow worms for profit ✅
and if I get a plushie: yay!
and if I get a black pearl from the clam mushroom drops: yay!
but they're not what I'm using to measure success/failure wrt meeting the goal I set when heading out
Imagine if your feeling of being successful or feeling like a failure depended on a purely random cointoss. That's no way to live.
(This is also why I always reel in the eleroo eels when fishing at De Mer, because if I waited for a Maws to show up on my hook, I'd be going home empty-handed most of the time, and that feels awful)
That's just setting yourself up for a disappointment through no fault of your own.
Yep
I'd rather set goals where I can actually control the outcome (you know, as much as anyone can control anything; it could always happen that there's a power outage, or some kind of emergency happens, or whatever else could interfere)
In games that's a lot easier to do :P
Right.
Get a black pearl: Not immediately actionable.
Open 100 elder clam mushrooms: Actionable.
It's like at work. Once I've broken down a big problem into a set of steps each of which I know I can do, I've solved the problem. The execution is just going through the motions.
At that point it's mostly just persistence
Hi, im here!
are there any grown vegetables which are not required in any recipe? like carrots seem optional not required so far? im new and ive been keeping some of each bc idk all the recipes yet
no cuz we got anyveggie recipes
^
i said that, for example carrot optionally can be anyveggie, im asking if any recipe requires carrot? and if theres a list of other garden plot ingredients that are ONLY optional not required
mh but ucould just only cook dishes u actually like but good question u probs wanna toss some veggeis out of ur storage
nope all of em are used (im not counting cotton)
ok thanks
Yeah as DS said, every vegetable has at least one recipe that requires it. Every time they've added new crops, they've also added recipes that use them.
some are used much more frequently than others, however - for example, onions
yes i suppose ill eventually do my original plan to enumerate how many recipes require which grown produce, it’s something i’d like to know,
i wondered if there was already a wiki/list ref for this concept
the ratios basically
Ah yeah
There's also the Dishes list on the wiki:
https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Dishes
(caveat: the dish sell values listed on the wiki are not, in my experience, very consistently accurate, especially since ingredient variables will change it)
lol I mis-pasted - I was trying to paste a link to my What to Eat spreadsheet, but it's not letting me. It's posted elsewhere in the channel, if you search for it.
just found it and looked! very helpful
I'd love to see your analysis! I've never done that particular math :)
lol well I got too curious and ended up creating a new sheet to count up the recipes that use different types of produce and meat:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qPbCKTJg8xYlR1Pw60ZkaXAERRkXaMC0r3UZZKLWQ_g/edit?gid=1237075701#gid=1237075701
(Ingredient Frequencies sheet)
Might expand it to count forageables and purchased ingredients later, but here it is for now
does anyone want to make meaty stir fry together? i have all the ingredients
serins server tag checks out lol
Top 5 produce items by recipe count
(not by number required)
- Onion (25)
- Wheat (18)
- Rice (15)
- Spicy Pepper (13)
- Tomato (10)
Corn and carrot are tied for sixth with 8 recipes each.
4 recipes call for Chopped Vegetable, which allows any produce except rice, wheat, beans, peppers, and fruit, and also allows green onion, ginger, and flowtato. Carrot is at the top of the prep station list for all of these recipes, and therefore the easiest option.
And for meats...
- Chopped Red Meat (15) - permits chapaa, sernuk, muujin, elder clam mushroom meat, and crab
- Chapaa meat (6)
- Crab (3)
- Muujin meat (2)
- Any red meat (selector) (2) - permits chapaa, sernuk, muujin, elder clam mushroom meat
- Sernuk meat (1)
For "chopped red meat" recipes, sernuk meat is the one at the top of the list and therefore the easiest option to use.
Does anyone wanna cook some high focus foods together
Anyone wanna do a cooking party with me
Omg me if you’re still on, I need to level up cooking bad
I’m still on yea
Okay my username is imklepto if you wanna add me
i have 50 starred and 50 unstarred onions if anyone is doing a x50 burger party tonight or tomorrow
Have a look in #1143270926394335282 and on PaliaParty.app (you can filter for bean burger parties specifically), if you haven't already :)
What is a easy recipe with least ingredients but high on focus 👀
I have a spreadsheet designed to answer exactly that question for solo cooks, if you're interested :) I'm not sure what counts for "high focus" for your purposes.
But steak dinner is a classic for a reason
About to cook some veggie chili if anybody wants to join?
hello guys, could someone help me make stared fish stew and sashimi? been pretty hard to farm those recipes. thank you
need them for the achievment
oh i didnt know i could filter on palia party! thank you!
I usually just cook a ton of veggie soup as I just passively always have those ingredients.
Did they stop putting plushies in the chapaa piles? I know they used to at least have Cyl... And I'm getting tired of getting 1 worm or apple
If you're talking about what I think you are, I got several from Zeki s lucky ball machine
Bean Burgers at 2:30PM ET anyone?
I'm hosting the 2:30 burger cooking... and for some reason I don't think people can join me?
I messaged in Palia Party app but no responses. Any tips?
Still need it?
could I cook muujin bahari with anyone? I have all the ingredients but not the recipe 😭
YES me and now
Cyl hasn't been in the Bahari pile since they moved him to the Lucky Boxes. No plushes in the rummage piles now
sorry late reply i got busy IRL
nice work!!
i think there are also recipes that require oyster meat?
Yes, a few, though oyster meat is foraged, so I had it in a different section that I haven't finished the analysis for
Oyster meat is unique and isn't ever included in the ingredient variables, as well - as in, it doesn't count as anything other than itself, rather like garlic
(ingredient variables like "any vegetable," "any red meat," or "any spice," for example)
ooh right
(confusingly, elder clam mushroom meat, from opened elder clam mushrooms, is also foraged, like oyster meat, but it does count for the "any meat" variable... hence its inclusion in the "meats" category lol)
Where can i find the recipe to make pumpkin stew?
Thankss
COOKING PARTY!
Starting in 40min
50 oyster 🦪 akwinduu
Need ppl to sign up if your avail
I’m confused about star ingredients for cooking. If I tick the “Use star ingredients” box but only have certain foraged items that are unstarred, can I still make the dish? I’m thinking most notably I don’t see a lot of starred sweet leaf and so I can’t make as many of a dish with only starred sweet leaf.
Sorry for the silly question. In the grand scheme of things I’m still newish to the game. I have 9 cooking at the moment
These two conversations may be relevant?
#🍳│cooking-foraging message
#🍳│cooking-foraging message
Dw its not a dumb question almost everyone has asked this at some point
Short answer is that it will use starred ones if it finds them and unstarred if it doesn't
Thanks for the answer! That makes sense but the tooltip doesn't clarify so without expending resources (possibly wasting them on a whole recipe) it is hard to know without asking. I appreciate you guys. I love this game's community
if hte game wont let u choice a cheap unstarred ingredietn incase u dont wanna use ur starred dariclove on any spice step just lockbox the thing u dont wanna use so u can select the unstarred stuff
Is it suppose to warn you if you are about to cook with a epic fish?
as i think i might have used my giant goldfish accidently, as i cant find it anymore...
nope so always select the fish or just lockbox all the good ones
(note to self get starred grilled maws for flex)
ugh i wanna cry now.. fished for so long to get the giant goldfish..
so yeay maws is 2.5 epic fish
lol ok
Anyone able to help me level up my cooking skills ? I’m level 8 and want to get to 10. ? I’ve ran over some of my materials. Can I come to your plot ?
Hi can i make butter or do i just buy it?
gotto buy it
Ah thanks good to know
sure, whats your ign? Ill add you
I’m offline now. But my ign is Matthew Ashley
yes sorry I didnt notice the time at which you wrote it, Ill add u, if u see me online sometime we can cook
Happy days. I’ll be sure to drop you a message when I’m next online 🙂
ofc! anytime if u see a kirai adding u thats me
This happens to a lot of people, unfortunately... feel free to request one if you just need it unstarred - plenty of us keep extras around for just this reason :)
i guess thats the secret ingredient.
Hey! Other than cake parties, which other food sells for more?
Why do people do blueberry pie parties? What do you do with blueberry pie besides eat it
I suppose you could sell it? Not worth much compared to the ingredient opportunity costs, though.
It's needed for a couple of accomplishments (crafted a minimum of once with someone else, in star quality)
2-3 are needed for quests
1 blueberry pie is needed for a bundle.
And sometimes villagers ask for them for weekly wants.
They're also sorta cute as decor, with whipped cream and stuff on the plate.
But, for all that, you would still only need to craft it a handful of times, not a whole party's worth.
I did try but so far no luck. will try again today ^^
where's todays rummage pile located?
epic/legendary sashimi?
Would anyone Would like to cut flow tree's with me)
You could also try #💬│lfg-chat or see if there are any #1143270926394335282
I'm sorry for saying anything but thank you for the suggestion
Hi , i want to ask about cooking legendary fish for profit ,what is the best dish to cook and what type of fish to use
starred maws + dari salsa pokebowl
Thank you
sushi or sashimi is also used as they are much faster to make
but sashimi is budget sushi to save on daricloves
Anyone want to do a cooking party?? ◡̈
So sushi is pretty good since poke is using too many daris

Anyone want to do a cooking party? I need to empty my trunks, so much pumpkins there 😭
I’d love to do a cooking party!!!
How do we organize that? My plot is not equipped for one lol but I’d be down to join a party for it
:3
!!!!
How o join party/cooking parties?
did just see someone post this on facebook , had no idea u can get starred placeable ruined food 👀
I think we could set up an outside kitchen set ? Mine is absolutely not practical
Is anyone available to help me make Elderwood Pie?
When Im chopping the flowtato the character glitches into bug catching mode.
If you wanna add me my ign is alexustajenae and I can help you
is there a glitch with the cooking? my friend and i are trying to cook starred stuff and we're using nothing but starred ingredients. is there a glitch or are we just unlucky?
Someone just came to help me. We got it done, thankfully!
Thank you so much for offering💐
If you mess up things like chopping too much, it wont be starred anymore.
where is the book to get the quiche caleri quest?
no glitch, just RNG. factors that affect star rate include how quickly you finished the recipe, the proportion of starred ingredients by sell value, and probably cooking level of participants, but it's never guaranteed. you can do absolutely everything right with all starred ingredients and still get an unstarred result
and vice versa, haha - sometimes I have wanted the unstarred version and had no luck
i figured we were just unlucky lol
hiiii, anybody knows a good guide to get all the recipes?
the wiki ! https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Recipes
thank you!!!1
Google palia party
Is this a known bug? 🤔
iirc you start the recipe from a prep station
Ooh okay thanks so much!
Hello, what does overprep mean? what the effect on during cooking party?

50x muujin bahari
Quick question because I'm wildly incredibly confused, do oysters count as fish or something when cooking sashimi or sushi
it's saying i have way more fish than i actually have, and i was afraid it was attempting to pull from my safe chest, but the number just isn't going down even though i moved all of my rare fish out of my inventory and placed them on my plot
Don't know if it applies to your case, but if you have ogopuu meat, it counts as fish
this makes so much more sense, thank you
i do have a lot of ogopuu meat
nope oyster meat counts only as oyster meat
Overprep (OP): anyone who completes a minigame step during a recipe gets a copy of the dishes at the end, even if they were just making an extra ingredient that isn't used. This allows a party to include more players than the number of steps strictly called for by the recipe (example: sashimi, which has only 3 core roles - starter, fish, and rice - can have many other participants overprep rice on the stove)
OP does not affect the value of the dish unless someone (usually accidentally) overpreps one of the variable ingredients using a cheaper (or more expensive) ingredient
i have found it in bahari bay with fishing have drop a bottle by the waterfall at B6
anyone need help with a dish?
