i mean i did find em in bahary pine tree but that was near the door to elderwoods maybe that matters idk
I've found several on juniper trees in Bahari - in S. Bahari, even - so I don't think proximity to the Elderwood door matters too much
i mean since everytime i colelcted it a bee spawned out of it i guess the goldenglory now comes from beehives in kilima?
Is there a specific dish that any of you think is the most effective at feeding oneself in Palia, or is it just like R/L "Whatever you have on hand"
for me it was cake as its so cheap but the rounds to make it in party do take quiet awhile and u waste alot of the focus by overeating no matter what or waste xp by undereating since its hard to top up
spicycrab thing was also good apparently but i havent tried it
daily candy eggs do addup
Daily candy eggs? That I haven't heard of
š® u do not have a silverwing nest on ur plot
No, No I do not. I must go learn about what this is, where to get it, and why I don't own one.
bundles quests the vault i aint giving more h ints some things are up to oneself to spoil
or perhaps u dumped it in ur chests do otake a look if thats the case
are they not updating the rummage piles in kilima and bahari anymore?
this really depends on your focus level!
how much would the best poke bowl using starred maws be? š¤
starred maws pokebowl partys when
comparison to a t1 epic fish (almost 2.5x higher price)
i mean itd take a year to get them buuuut with the right buffs maws isnt hard to catch, its definitely possible, but would it be worth it? next one i catch i'll use it for poke and see what happens
dish sell value =
[sum of unstarred sell values of all ingredients] * 0.375] rounded down to nearest whole number
(even if you use starred items, still uses unstarred sell value to calculate base dish price)
then if it turns out starred, it's the base dish sell value * 1.5, rounded down again
so itd cost like... 1654 base or something??? insane.
Giant goldfish poke with Dari clove salsa is 994g starred each, so, doesn't sound too far off
yeah, did 994/.375, then subtracted 1220, then added 2980, then *0.375 and it came out to that. starred would be 2481 š³
guys start catching maws for poke rotations we need y'all
3 per round as well lol
unstarred Maws poke worth more than starred goldfish poke, damn XD
How do u get elder clam mushroom meat??
you open the elder clam mushrooms, like an oyster
does anyone have the batterfly beans I could request?

Whats the most efficient and easy way to maintain my focus?
Join up with others to cook focus food! Split the ingredients, effort, and time required :) Makes it very cost-effective if you choose the right recipes.
What is your current max focus capacity? I can give some recs.
If you would rather stick with solo play, I recommend steak dinner as the most cost-effective solo recipe (though I haven't mathed out the new recipes yet)
just opened 184 oysters i had saved up... still no pebble...
They are, unfortunately, about a 1 in 1,000 drop chance, last I knew
i.e., expect about 2,000 oysters
oh my goodness, that is a ridiculous drop rate when all the other pebbles are just sitting out somewhere. i dont think i'll even bother.
thanks for the info
Have anyone figured out how to obtain the burger recipe yet? I've done all new main quests, witch I thought would grant it. Got a few side quests to do tho
ooooh, prettyyyyy
What wuould those buffs be? Im doing something wrong
im so glad i also got my ancient amber for collecting
How do you make ancient wood planks from elderwoods?
buy the recipe from ashura
Thank you Sam!
Where did the new Batterfly Beans recipe go ? I got it but its no where too be found
It not really a recipe. It just shows up in your seed maker machine. You get beans in elderwood. But itās one bean for one seed so best to plant to get more beans to start.
ohh I already been doing that , okay I aam good then ty!
ooohhh i love this whaaaa
fishermans brew, fish stew, and sushi (and then i use safe zone size hooks from einar)
Hello guys ! i dont seem to find it, but How did you guys unlock the BEAN BURGER recipie ? palia pedia refers to the fact that you need to fish ? but im not sure when with what bait ?

Someone with the bean burger recipe, could you tell me the required ingredients? I just want them ahead of time
Ingredients for the Bean Burger Recipe for @hearty drift :
1 Milk
2 Tomato
2 Onion
3 Batterfly Beans
3 Vinegar
1 Wild Garlic
1 Spice Root
1 Egg
1 Cooking Oil
1 Wheat
Still can't get over that 3 vinegar...
Sounds like a sour burger
600g worth of vinegar in those dang burgers, to say nothing of the opportunity cost of the beans, lol
What do people eat for focus food these days? (Returning player).
I tend to do Chili OIl Dumplings because the recipe is really easy to cook and the ingredients aren't TOO terrible to keep on hand
I'm sure there's a better one though
Sweet, thank you!
Where can I find these floatfish mushroom?
Climb the big trees in the Deep wood -- they grow off the sides of them
For a solo cook or a duo, steak dinner is most cost-effective. Group cooking will depend on how many people you want to organize, but I personally really like stuffed cabbage rolls. The recipe is kind of broken and has a very high star rate, for some reason. 412 focus starred, and it always stacks no matter what meat and mushrooms you use (at least, with the old two mushrooms... haven't tested with the new mushroom "meat" or the other forageable any-mushroom ones yet)
elder wood meals are still to new for poeple to know wether or not to use those though so answers cna start to change real soon
Yeah, definitely more analysis to do
It's tough because I've been dealing with so much lag in-game that I actually haven't set foot into Elderwood yet, and my ability to test things is hampered
oh so u cant play at all due to lag ic ic
However, the dish sell value formula seems to be the same for the new recipes (based on bean burger reports)
The EW recipes seem like they tend toward complex chains of requirements (have a look at the bean chili, lol) and needing multiples of ingredients in single steps.
But it's mostly (at least for me so far) a big question mark
Yeah, unfortunately the "hitch" for a moment or two every so many seconds tends to make me badly seasick
hope it gets better soon
Thanks, and same
Anyone have any suggestions or advice (or just general rarity statistics) of the starred Elder Clam Mushroom Meat? I've opened almost 200 regular and starred mushrooms and have only gotten regular meat so far š¦
Is there a list for all the new foragables yet??
the new items are listed in the patch notes
https://palia.com/news/patch-191
Where can I find heartwood?
Fir trees in Bahari Bay, mostly in the north :)
Location of Elderwood Lotus? Iām struggling, been looking for an hour, found 2.
anyone wanna farm essence with me? I have idol III
where can i fine the batterfly beans does anyone know?
ok where is pumpkin stew/ soon tofu. path notes say reth's cooking store.. they are not showing up for me ( im like 60 something in cooking so not a level issue
are you going to the register or reth directly? it's in reth's cooking guild store!
oooh the GUILD store
thanks!
How do u get this idol?
I just need my pumpkins to come in and I can complete the cooking accomplishment.
Hey do any of yall know where I have to fish specifically for Fish Stee recipe? I've been fishing in Bahari Bay with worms for like 3 hours and I've just got tons of Tuna.
If you're catching bluefin tuna and Bahari bream, unstarred, you're fishing in the right spot. At least pre-patch, it did not drop from the starred fish nodes; I don't know about now, though. But best to fish outside the nodes, to be safe. It IS quite a rare drop, though - less than 2% - so it might take you a bit.
Thanks, that's what I've been catching. I almost never go for nodes unless I'm chasing new fish as it is. Thanks for the reply. (Time to go to Einar and buy 300 worms...)
Does Einar sell regular worms now? Useful update, if so
I know the general store has them, but options are good
Hey guys! What's the easiest and best focus food to cook solo with cooking under 10?
Steak dinner is one of the most cost-effective - only 4 ingredients, pretty straightforward steps, only one thing from the garden (so the rest of your garden can make you money instead of getting eaten).
(Step order for solo steak dinner: start > chop sprouts > timed flip > roll dough > start oven > mix butter > retrieve bread > add ingredients & flip)
However, if you haven't gotten your focus bonus % up to at least 50-60% (recommended for solo players before raising focus bar maximum), you probably won't need as much focus as it gives quiiite yet.
In that case, hearty vegetable soup or Palian onion soup (from a found item quest) would be just fine! They are both chop-and-stir soups.
What do you think?
I've been doing potato soup. my max focus right now is like 500 or thereabouts and my bonus is 77%
hi, where do i get the pumpkin (veggie) ?
Tamala's potion shop, requires questing to unlock
Potato soup is pretty expensive because of the potatoes, unfortunately .
If you like that focus amount better than steak dinner's 225/337, pan fried dumplings are a good alternative, and also less complex to make.
thanks! i've already unlocked Tamala's shop...i just thought there was a separate quest to get the seed
Has the sushi recipe dissappear for anyone else or is it intended?
best way to get elder clam mushroom meat?
i was today years old i realised i could open elder clam mushrooms
foraging in mauvais probably
Are Starred Ancient Wood Seed and Starred Ancient Amber actually obtainable or not?
You can open elderclam shrooms?!
I think I was making it because I have a ton of potatoes XD. Thanks!
I still have it š¤
There are no starred tree seeds or ambers for any of the other tree types, so I have a hard time imagining that ancient trees would have them.
Think of them like unopened oysters in Bahari. You can also get black pearls from them but itās a very rare drop.
i always fish for starq because I know the moment I dont I will get afish I need for the achievement lol, so I dont have Sushi lollll
lol they really need to find a different symbol for "this item can open" vs. "this item can be consumed"
The purple up-arrow is very misleading in some cases
Literally just a different color would at least be something!
Also, just a friendly reminder t everyone to check villagerās rooms for newly added recipes and found item quests!
They listed al new recipes locs in patch notes right
Where do we find sacred flowers?
Also in patch notes :D Sacred flowers come from a bunch of places, including random pickups, quest rewards, and hunting
Hey folks, so, I'm currently cooking steak meals, I think that's what it's called, requires spice herbs, butter, wheat and meat, and I was wondering what's a step up for the next best focus boost that's best bang for the effort. I have 675 focus ATM. I currently don't have apples or blueberries but have the seeds for em. I thought of dumplings but that's just a tiny bit better that the steak combo.
For solo cooking, yes?
Yea until I get the mats for cooking parties
I'm currently hunting and using excess seeds for gold income, while doing animal crossing like * fish aquarium in my house like an exhibit. So need a lot of focus based foods
Hello, I'm a new player, and I was wondering if I should be selling or keeping flowers? I.e Crystal Lake Lotus and Spice Sprouts. The lotus description mentions uses for dye so I was wondering if we can dye things later on with them? Thanks!
@sick bluff I think there's a modification bench so maybe? š¤
Ooo okies, I'll definitely hold onto them then just in case
Thanks!
You could plant them so they don't take up space.
brilliant!
Steak dinner is going to be hard to beat, and 2 starred ones fits very neatly into your current max focus. If you want something higher than the pan fried dumplings, those are going to be:
- stuffed cabbage rolls (412 starred, has an unusually high star rate and always stacks no matter what meat/mushroom you use)
- cream of tomato soup (also 412)
- spicy stir fry (487 starred)
- phoenixfire relleno (450 starred)
I haven't mathed the new recipes yet, but beans have a very high opportunity cost, and pumpkins take forever and are also very high value per crop, so my hopes are not currently very high for the recipes' potential as cost-effective solo focus food. I'll see what the numbers say once I have the energy to dig the steps out of the recipe UI. :)
In the meanwhile, here's the math I DO have (on the What to Eat) tab, if you're curious: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qPbCKTJg8xYlR1Pw60ZkaXAERRkXaMC0r3UZZKLWQ_g/edit?gid=41849516#gid=41849516
Spice sprouts are used a LOT for cooking, so hang onto those! Crystal lake lotuses are used for flare arrows (used to mark rare nodes/call attention to things) and also in quite a few furniture crafting recipes. That's where the "dye" part comes from: they're used to give a purple or blue color to furnishings (as part of the original recipe, not as part of modifying them later).
In general, I recommend checking the wiki page (palia.wiki.gg) for an item to see what all it's used in, if you're needing to decide whether to hang onto it. :)
Thank you!!
If anyone wants to do some cooking I need to get rid of ingredients!
Where can we find the elderflower?
Saw on Reddit they are at the tops of trees in the Deep Woods.
is ther any way to get a steady supply of brightshrooms rather that going hunting for them everytime
you can use a dowsing rod to find them more easily, and request five a real life day, but you canāt farm them or anything.
alright thanks
You can buy them with foraging medals if you have to, also.
yeah saw that
Do you need them for arrows?
You can also buy dispel arrows with hunting medals if needed, in case that helps, and if you have the reward statue from the fire temple, you can check it once per RL hour for a chance at arrows (and gold!)
If you set up your bags right and are willing to server hop, you can even "force" it to give you a narrower range of items.
lol can someone explain to me like iām 5 how a cooking party works/the benefits⦠(i just started playing today and enjoying the peaceful solo grind š but will be looking forward to more socializing down the road)
i should ask that in newbies prob my bad
I'll be happy to, but please give me a bit to wake up all the way and get to a real kb :)
Okay, so!
ELI5: Cooking parties
In case you didn't already know, whenever players cook together, anybody who participates in cooking the recipe gets a full copy of the completed dish. "Participating" in this case means either starting the recipe or completing at least one minigame step: chop, roll, mix, stir, flip, or pulling a finished ingredient out of the oven.
This means that it is possible to split the effort and the time required to cook a dish, so everyone only does a small part, but the whole thing goes faster. It is also cheaper, because each person only has to bring some of the ingredients.
Example: Splitting Up Steak Dinner
Let's take steak dinner for an example. Steak dinner has 4 ingredients: meat, wheat, spice sprouts, and butter. It also has a number of different steps: start the recipe, chop the sprouts, roll the wheat, mix the herb butter, bake the bread, and flip the pan twice.
If you cook it alone, you need to have all of the ingredients and do all of the work yourself.
If you cook it with one other friend, maybe you only bring the meat and the spice sprouts, and your friend brings the butter and wheat.
But if you want to, you can make a "full party" of it:
- one person starts the recipe with the meat, then watches the pan and flips it when it needs it
- second person chops the sprouts
- third person rolls the wheat into dough
- fourth person mixes the herb butter
- fifth person puts the dough in the oven and pulls it out when the timer finishes*
*This job does not need any ingredients, so we call it a "free role."
....and EVERY person who does one of those jobs gets 3 steak dinners at the end.
If your role is to chop spice sprouts, then instead of 90 steak dinner costing you 30 meat, 30 wheat, 30 butter, and 30 spice sprouts, you can show up to a party with only 30 spice sprouts and still walk away with all of the food.
Additionally, because the all you need to do to get the food is complete a minigame step, you can have overprep: doing an extra ingredient step that isn't needed to finish the recipe, but still gets you participation credit. For steak dinner, a sixth person (and seventh and eighth....) could come and chop extra spice sprouts and also get the food.
Okay, so, profit?
When it comes to high-value recipes, they usually use either LOTS of small ingredients, like celebration cake, or a few hard-to-get ingredients, like poke bowls made with epic (or legendary!) fish and extra dari cloves. This makes them expensive to cook on your own, and not very much profit.
It's also harder to get starred dishes (which are worth more than unstarred ones made with the same ingredients) when you are one person cooking, because your chance of getting a starred dish (star rate) goes up when it takes you less time to finish the dish. So, splitting the work so it goes faster also makes you more likely to get more money.
Cake parties are an excellent example. They have 18 different steps, which takes a long time and costs a lot to cook solo, but if you split them among 18 people, suddenly you are getting 3 starred cakes (280g each, if the fruit frosters all use apples and it turns out starred) for the price of 1 sweet leaf (value: 23g, or maximum 45g if you feed it to your worms).
For fish parties, there often aren't very many steps to the recipe, but one or two of the ingredients are worth a lot. So, in that case, if you wanted to make 60 rounds of rare fish sashimi, perhaps 3 people bring 20 starred rare fish each, and then take turns chopping their fish, starting the recipe (spice sprouts), and making rice. Everyone else who attends makes extra rice to get credit for the dish, and that way those 60 fish get shared with 25 people instead of only 3.
It's basically a way of multiplying and sharing resources so that lots of people can benefit. :)
I've been holding out on upgrading my focus lvl, aaand the fact that focus does f*** all now that all my skills are lvl20+, my focus is at 820/82% and I stopped cuz the % upgrades were way to low for the cost. But now I hope the Elderwood recipes might be fun and higher tier. Like the burger 800+ focus. But theres no info on how to obtain them, have anyone figure out how to get them except the low tier ones at reth? I stayed att 820 focus also cuz food with 800+ are rare.
All the recipe locations are listed in the patch notes!
The burger is wild, 3 vinegar per recipe when they cost 200g each
Also, there are only so many things you can spend renown on, so you might as well
My main has been capped on renown with nothing to buy for ages, and my alt has all the stuff bought as well and is slowly creeping up on the cap
Alt account hasn't even made it to the 3-month mark lol
Would you look at that, I read the patch notes as soon they dropped but I guess I missed that, my bad š
To be fair, they had a LOT of info!
Speaking of, have they increased the prices of slot of things? Wanted to buy silk to build the new decors... What was it 900g!!?? Insane
That went up in 0.180 when they did the big economic update; it increased the sell values of most non-gardening items, which also increased the vendor prices (which are generally 2-4x markup)
Damn, shows how much I've played recently š
Anyone know where specifically I can find the elder wood lotus and elderflower?
@mortal quartz thank you so so so much for putting the time in to type that out for me!!! that sounds like a good way to meet new people too iām gonna have to find me a cooking squad one of these days
I would recommend checking palia.th.gl (interactive map) for an idea of their spawn areas.
Elderflowers in particular spawn ||up the sides of the giant, climbable cylindrical trees in the Deep Wood, kind of like heat root. They're not on the TOPS, but on the sides. They show up on a dowsing rod along with flowtatoes.||
Has the game locked you in place when trying to cook the new burger? I have been locked in place twice and canāt finish the food.
Did anyone get an infected flowtato yet or is it also not obtainable rn?
Iāve found an infected flowtato
Where? Itās driving me crazy
I really hope someone can help me. I need 4 flowers to finish my shrines (Iāve maxed out the purchases). And I feel like Iāve run this map 10 times looking for them. Can someone give me some sort of idea where to look? TIA
Theres probs a reason potionshop sells em but if we dont need to buy lemme know
I think I just found it around the deep woods area
Yea as always complaining here helped a lot but ty!
I think they arenāt like labeled very well , like they donāt show much infection - so I guess go around grabbing them
I used the tracker relict tho but wasnāt showing on it so idk.
Need to up it each tier shows more stuff
I have tier 2, so forageables and bugs, or does it upgrade the forageables u can track too?
Mh that should work
Hi there! Does anyone know how to flip food on PS5? I stupidly skipped the tutorial and now Iām ruining meals left and right š«
You can review the tutorials again!
Thank you! Where would I find those?
On Switch, it's under Settings - Gameplay
Thank you!!
I'm not sure what the keybind is on PS controller, but the flip minigame you need to hold down the "do minigame action" button (same one you use to chop) and then release when the dot lines up with the circle.
should probably be R2 if it lines up with switch controller
I'm a newbie and still figuring out cooking with stove so what's the easiest recipe to cook for solo players?
campfire grilled meat
Not enough for focus points tho. š
yeay but its the easiest one and u can cook 1 per second with 5 campfires going nonstop
maybe one of the emals is more worth it ren we needur guidancehere
The easiest on the stove are the chop-and-stir soups, like hearty vegetable soup or Palian onion soup (from a found-item quest)
The next step up from those is probably pan-fried dumplings (bought from cash register at the inn at Reth's bar) which have a very forgiving timer and are just chop 4 things, mix them together, flip once. No timed flips or anything.
You do need to have the mixing station unlocked for that, though.
Got a foraging question, maybe someone knows. What is better to do to get a tree seed, to cut more trees no matter the size or focus cutting bigger trees?
Best place to find the flowtado and lotus
bigger
Is anyone else having palia not see ingredients that are there? Recipes tell me I don't have spicy peppers or rice, but I do, I have plenty. I even grew some new ones and harvested them and it still says I don't have them. Anyone else?
do you only have starred versions of them?
Lotus on the left side of ew, I find them mostly at Okanaa Bog and Mauvais Way. Flowtato only deep woods. No specific spot, I actually ran around and if I didnāt find one I jumped server.
yea what im doing now for the flowtato lol
i need both of those infected š¦
The infected one was the last I needed and I searched over 2 days for it - best would be to party up with someone who uses the tracking relict and you use the bag of illusions. That makes it easier
yea waiting on my bestie to get online lol
has anyone been able to cook star quality bean burgers? not sure if it's a bug or just me doing badly, haha
I only cooked it once, but I got it first try.
ty!! guess its a #skillissue lmao
Tree seeds are only from medium and large sized trees, yep
That's a pretty complex recipe, so having to roll again for RNG to cooperate if you're cooking it solo is expected. It may be easier if you're willing to team up with some other folks to make it easier to finish the recipe faster!
I wish I could atleast harvest the adult flowtrees on my own plot. I need the flow wood and they are tempting me.
You could host a flow tree chop! or just ask if someone on the server would be willing to help you
Don't have enough yet (only 6 matures) to really make that worth while. But I might in time. Just feels a bit hmmmm to grow out fully for the seed and then also make it solo unharvestable.
Just have been nice to have a... oh few flow wood to short, lets cut one of my trees.
Genuine question. If I were to host a cooking party and did ALL the work/had ALL the ingredients- Would the other people get the exp and cooking item? [I'm grinding for cooking lvl 20, and want to share my dishes ]
As long as they completed at least one minigame step, either as a free role, as overprep, or if you put down an ingredient for them and then they chopped/mixed it or whatever, then they would get credit. But they do have to participate in the recipe in some way.
Darn
Why?
Okay lol- Thank you for that.
And Well, I guess I wanted to gift people dishes [as if I'm a doin a lil bakery LOL]
I guess I'm a little confused about what you're envisioning! Do you mean, like, they just stand around on your plot and get the food somehow?
I guess if it turns out unstarred you could fill requests š¤
What's the difference between flow infused wood and enchanted wood?
Would anyone be able to party up with me to make an apple pie and trout dinner for the bundles?
Can someone who finds a star elderflower invite me to their server? š„¹
š š
is anyone having issues getting infected kappa nuts/honey?
It's the same thing
Anyone else not seeing flowtato show on the dowsing rods? I was right on top of one & it never popped up on my compass
Anyone that knows what I am missing? Foraging achievement
Elderclam pearl i think
Me š«
Black pearl from the elder clam shrooms
does anyone happen to have an elderwood flower they can gift?
new player here , whats considered the best early/mid/end game food overall ? since im new i heard the best food for beginning is steak dinner is that true?
are people still hosting cooking cake parties? just coming back to the game and i miss making 300cake party!!
what activity grants bean burger recipe and which one for flowtato fries?
the burger recipe is in the beasts lair
best food really is based on your focus level and what you have unlocked! but steak dinner is one of the best options for solo cooking especially! ren explains it the best here
#š³ācooking-foraging message and #š³ācooking-foraging message
nvm i apparently already found all recipes XD
Can anyone help me with the muujin bahari recipe? Its literally the last thing i need for the night sky temple š
Hi! New PS5 player. Having trouble with the chop/stir functions. Help? I'd like to try using my stove lol
Would anyone be willing to party up with me to make an apple pie and trout dinner for the bundles? It would be greatly greatly appreciated
Ah yes. Does this mean they wonāt show up unless I check the used starred ingredients box?
yep! you dont have to have all starred ingredients to complete a recipe though, it will use starred first and then substitute non-starred ingredients for the rest!
Thanks!
anyone wanna do some cooking? looking to stock up on muujin bahari or something
Would anyone be willing to help my friend and I cook a few recipes? We donāt have them so we cannot start them. Trout dinner (starred), apple pie, and bacon-stuffed mushrooms. Would greatly appreciate it š
i can do that, my ign is the same as this
Okay š thank you! My friends name is soggywafflez, Iāll have him add you because I donāt have enough cooking stations lol
we can cook at my plot if need be too
its mostly finished atm, i'm messing with part of it but the kitchen is ready to go
not really
We will come to you then!
which ingredients for starred muujin bahari have to be starred? :) gonna host 50 tommorow
Generally, only the gardened stuff; meat, too, if people have it. Starred chapaa meat is a pain, though.
so onion , peppers, corn, wheat?
That sounds about right. The rest (mushrooms, sprouts, garlic) are forageables, right? (or bought things like butter and salt, which are never starred)
yeah just wondering about muujin meat if it should be starred
If it's a public party, I wouldn't require it, but lots of people have it anyway from hunting.
It certainly won't hurt to use it if they do have it, so you can say you prefer starred but don't require it.
alright thanks <3
Can someone who finds a star elderflower invite me to their server? š„¹

Where do I get list of recipe tracker? TIA
what is the best food for full upgraded focus lvl?
Depends on your preferences and whether you cook solo or in groups. Do you like to eat whenever you notice you need focus, or do you prefer to almost-deplete your bar before you eat? (or fully deplete it, though that tends to make you miss a chunk of focus bonus)
solo, never done a group one before. I love to have a full bar always when doing things
In that case, for solo cooking, I recommend steak dinner. It's the most cost-effective food for solo cooking, only has 4 ingredients, and only one of those is garden produce (which leaves your garden tiles free to make you gold). It's 337 focus starred, which imo is just right for eating whenever you notice you need to.
However, if you can work together with other people to cook together, it gets faster and cheaper :)
(ime it's also a perfect recipe to cook as a duo)
Other good options include pan fried dumplings (375 starred) and meaty stir fry (also 375 starred, and can use all kinds of things as the "chopped vegetable" - including ginger and green onion, so all it uses from the garden is rice).
I'm also partial to stuffed cabbage rolls (412 starred). The recipe is... kinda broken? At least when cooked in a small group, it almost always seems to turn out starred (95%+ star rate), and it always stacks no matter what combination of meat and mushroom you use.
oki, thank you sm!
could anyone with the fish stew recipe invite me to their house so I can cook together? its the last one for both achievements =/
I have the recipe!
Cool!!! yaaay. Can I add u in my friends list?
sure! its moon script :D
Can i go to your house?
It should be open to visit
Can anyone help my fiancƩe and I make cream of mushroom soup
We don't have the recipe but need for quest
Can anyone with the Muujin Bahari recipe help me and my girlfriend make it for a quest?
@surreal grotto @vernal jewel you can try https://discord.com/channels/809856101326913567/1267651728229007390 (or team up with each other!)
i can try hopping on my steam deck, never played on it but i have both recipes and necessary ingredients
I am new to the game and cooking seems difficult to level up. Can anyone explain how to do it faster? I just keep making vegetable stew and ramen when I can
the beginning levels are very repetitive when it comes to leveling up so it can feel a bit slower! but mass cooking grilled fish over the campfire or stocking up on your current focus food is your best bet for cooking solo! as well as making sure you upgrade you focus bonus at the phoenix shrine, and eat while you cook to get the most XP!
if youre open to cooking with others, cooking parties are the fastest way to level up if you're wanting to level up very quickly! still recommend upgrading your focus bonus though :)
is chili dumplings still one of the best foods?
that depends on a few things, but the message linked has a spreadsheet that breaks everything down! #š³ācooking-foraging message
ty!
What's a good recipe to get at cooking level 8 trying to make gold
sadly there really isn't a recipe to cook solo for gold besides unstarred grilled fish on the campfire? otherwise cooking is really only profitable in cooking parties
Do star amber and star seed really exist?
They say there are two successes in the harvest but with the infected crops it makes 3
I am having a heck of a time finding these beans I don't know if I'm just not seeing them or bad timing
honestly sometimes i see a ton and sometimes zero, ||but they are attached to the bottom part of non choppable trees i think (donāt take my word for this i canāt remember exactly lol sorry)||
i looked it up, itās like i said and it looks like this
I found one before I had to leave for work. So I'll just have to grind it out
They don't glow much, so they are harder to see than the other forageables. If you are really struggling, you might try turning foliage all the way off to clear out the area around the base of trees? It might help, not 100 percent sure, but that often helps me a lot with finding other forage.
They are also a bit easier to spot in the more brightly-lit areas of the wood
Heya people! I'm going to add the new cooking recipes to Palia Party. Are these all the new ones?
||- Fruit Smoothie Bowl
- Elderwood Pie
- Loaded Flowtato
- Pumpkin Pie
- Soon Tofu
- Veggie Chili||
these are all the new ones and this is my checklist of whcih ones i gotten the recipe but i got em all so iforgot ot delte it
is steak dinner still the most economical focus point recipe in elderwood?
u coudl also check patchnotes or paliatracker
Does anyone know which recipes are not working? I forgot the commandā¦.
some recipes dont work š®
Or were they fixed with the patch? Cause I remember the bok Choi (is that how you write it?) didnāt work for and a couple things tooā¦
if you're referring to the green onion and bok choy, those we're both fixed a while ago!
would the Flowtato Fries with Ketchup be more efficient cost and focus-wise than the Steak Dinner to make?
Veggie Chili is 1,012 focus is the most effective
anyone want to invite me to cooking party? please
Also looking for a cooking party!
If the flowtato weren't a rare forageable and ketchup didn't require 200g of vinegar, maybe
Did anyone make a table (sheet, etc) for the new food and ingredients to see whatās more profitable yet?
I haven't had the focus to be able to yet, but if you do, please share! The starred beans have an opportunity cost of 135g each (more than potatoes at 120g), so I don't have very high hopes tbh. Pumpkins might redeem themselves though. I'm often surprised by the numbers.
Hey thanks! math on this seems to check out--would be nice to not have to use so many veggies
Any fish recipe with unstarred starred maws is gonna be very profitable!
What are cooking parties ?
!cakeparty
How to join a Cake Party: You can check available parties being made here: https://discord.com/channels/809856101326913567/1143270926394335282 .
Guidelines for joining a party:
- Double check all info within the post's Title and Description, provided by the Original Poster/Party Owner.
- Make sure you have enough ingredients for the amount of cakes specified in the post, as well as enough time to complete them (some cake parties can be quite time consuming).
- If a link is provided for the Party App as a signup, make sure you select the correct cooking station (which shows how much of every ingredient is required) and that your name is the same as in-game (this is for getting invited by the Party Owner).
- If you've already signed up, but can't make it in time for the specified start time (it is better to be ready a bit early, to avoid delays), or don't have enough ingredients, it's best to let everyone know you're withdrawing. (while, using the app, you can click the Withdraw button).
For more information, check out the Guide to Cake Parties.
folks get together and cook something together (example above is a cake party.) each person brings an ingredient/does a specific role in the recipe, so you put in less resources to get a better dish out of it.
Ohhhh wait thatās so cool! Iād love to do one but I donāt have them ingredients and donāt know how to get some x
farming and foraging!

hey quick question, anyone in game right now wanna come over to my plot to make 3 burgers for the weekly? ... believe it or not, no one's replying in game XD
there's free roles you can do, where you don't have to have any ingredients, but you still participate and get the dishes! a good example is the oven role for a cake party!
Ohhhh! Iām definitely down for one then š
has anyone gotten a star ancient tree seed or amber yet? i am convinced they dont exist. trying to get all the achievements
not yet on my end... and I chopped a LOT of those damn trees XD guess the drop rate is pretty low maybe
it has to be more rare than a star ruby at this point
i meeeean, maybe AS rare... starred ruby are pretty hard to come by ngl
i have 13 ancient amber and drop rate for star ruby is 1 in 10 so it could be as rare and im just unlucky
if I dont have the recipe for sushi, can i cook with someone who does to get some for my bundle anyways?
got the ogopuu plush, the rare one, before geting any ambers.... XD
oh dang. i dont think ill ever get that naturally. i traded for one and im happy so ill stick to my deforestation business lol
I DID hunt a LOT of them though because of the quest that needed a scale.. and I legit just got the regular ogopuu plush. :p
hey anyone online wanna come over to my plot make 3 burgers for the weekly? :p
i can. just give me a minute to clear out my pack. ign the same?
same name, and sounds good, also gimme a minute im in elderwood, my timer resets in 15 secs XD
yes as long as you complete one of the steps (such as chopping) you will also receive the dish!
can someone help me really quick who has the sushi dish then? :(
I've had no luck fishing it up
Anyone able to help me with a cook? i dont have the recipie but im hoping to get help for the Wall. I need Muujin Bahari, Apple pie, and Trout dinner made x_x
If you have the trout fish I can help with trout dinnner and muujin bahari
i have a singular trout. that okay? or
yup
whats your ign
can my friend tag along aswell?
How do I get the fish stew recipe?
Fish it up in Bahari Coast with worms
OUTSIDE BUBBLES
Thanks!
so, party cooking noob question: is there some way to get/let someone help me cook, but i still supply all the materials? 'cause like... i am sick to death of these minigames, and i would happily let someone mooch free focus food for helping me...
hey, could anyone help me with the best place to get Elderwood Lotus and are they a certain time of day ?
i have nothing else to add or make? but couldnt finish it š¦
i run around on the west side - by the dock
thank you i will keep trying to find them in that area
gift them the ingredients via request?
honestly i'd take it. my attempts to find somebody interested waffled out though so im just here chopping... chopping... chopping... i swear once i get apples growing im going to join cake parties until i have thousands of cakes and never cook again.
if you start the mini game, and then back out of it, another person can continue it while using your ingredients!
forageable stuff like sweet leaf can go in cakes, and some cake parties have roles that are just putting the cakes in the oven and taking them out when theyāre ready, no ingredients needed!
wow heykiah has a way better suggestion tho
really!? man i need to find some starving newbies who wanna chop and setup 4 prep stations... i've been making cabbage rolls and its two mixes, four chops, and 5d6 psychic damage
and yes! like meeks said you can also join cake parties without needing apples! if you have a lot of sweetleaf, or join the free roles you can start joining them now while you are working towards apples :)
hmmm that's a good tip, i do have a ton of sweet leaf. do they need to be starred?
cabbage rolls make for a hearty paladinner, at least.
nope not at all!
in that case i've got 95 sweet leaf regular and 15 starred time to find a wagon to ride, thanks
there's also other focus food parties if you wanna try those as well if you have other ingredients! definitely recommend checking the palia party app that meeks linked!
the ones on that site scheduled for a time - there a way to see time zone?
it's local to you!
oh perfect, thanks
hello everyone!!! trying to finish up some bundles but realizing that level 20 cooking is so far away :( does anyone here have the Muujin Bahari recipe and is willing to co-op cook it? iād be happy to supply ingredients and give payment in other materials!
I can help you make that
Iād really appreciate that!!! :D should I DM you my info or send a friend request in-game?
U can send a fr in game.
sent! :)
heyy anyone got the muujin bahari recipe that can help me make it? its the last thing i need for the vault bundles and im no where near lvl 20 cooking š
I can help you
I'm just heading home, I'll friend request you and you can come over and cook
Oh, that's an odd one. What's that on the ingredients "shelf" at the bottom of your screen?
I think that accomplishment MAY have been mis-coded, because there are no starred versions of any of the other ambers or tree seed types. I would be extremely surprised if they existed in truth. It wouldn't be the first accomplishment in this expansion to be bugged. (Then again, we have random non-edible flowers not used in cooking that have starred versions and that can also be fed to the worms, so who knows...)
tysm! my ign is zoroark when your ready ā¤ļø
Sorry just saw this now, friended you, come on over
Where do we get the new cooking recipes?
Combination of villagers' rooms and various chests/quests in Elderwood. There's a list in the patch notes.
Thank you!
Hi everyone, hope you're all well. I mistakenly wrote in another chat earlier x) I've been playing palia for a bit over two months now, and while I leveled up well in other skills my cooking is still at a super low level. I was wondering if some of you would consider me for cooking together ? I've been hoarding ingredients for ever. I would also like to cook the bahari muujin since it's the last item I need for the temple of the night if anyone has the recipe already
I bet you can find lots of folks looking for people who have ingredients in #1143270926394335282 and on PaliaParty.app! (just a website, not an app)
Even the occasional muujin Bahari party :)
Just want to say thank you to you @mortal quartz !! I'm new to the game and I've been reading everything you posted here and it has been a huge help, tysm for sharing everything
hi i got the sushi recipe and i got all the ingredients but when i go to the preparation table its says that i net more kitchen table or something like this
got it
is there any food in the focus range between 500 and maybe 800 unstarred which doesnt need crazy ingrediants? i wanna use sonethibg different than steak dinner
Has anyone done a bean burger cooking party yet or know the most ideal way to set up for one?
i think chili oil dumplings are the best value for ingredients
How can I find the sushi recipe?
if you want to create your own, use https://paliaparty.app to set one up. you can use that site to search for existing parties. you can post your party or look for existing ones in https://discord.com/channels/809856101326913567/1143270926394335282. can you elaborate on what you mean by āthe most ideal way to set up for oneā? are you looking for ideas on how to set up a plot for it, general information on throwing parties, etc.?
https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Sushi#How_to_Obtain
you can get it by ||fishing in ponds with glow worms at any time of day. donāt fish in spots with bubbles. a lot of people had the most luck finding it by fishing in the pond on their plot. note: i donāt know if there are ponds in elderwood, but if there are, iām not sure if itāll pop up there. try your home plot though, thatās where i got it.||
Tysm š
specifically on what tables and stoves I would need or how many
are bena burgers that good for partys compared to other foods ?
depends on how many people you want to participate!
when we do cooking parties, we're usually full. and yeah, we're testing it out because bean burgers are the highest worth now. more than poke bowls!
oh u cook burgers for money
doesnāt look like the palia party site has been updated with the EW recipes yet and i donāt have it so i canāt help you on cooking station or ingredient and role count. anyone with a cooking party plot should be able to host though. maybe someone here has done the math, try searching the server? if not, if you end up doing it, share the results!
i made an extra ketchup on accident but everything was there
|| I was fishing in a bahari pond in a bubble, and when I caught the fish, the recipe came with it, apparently it is possible even in bubbles ||
I even recorded a clip, but I don't think I can send it here
oh, didnāt think that was possible! maybe itās just ||less likely to show up in bubble spots?|| either way, congratulations!
define "crazy ingredients"?
Oh... that ketchup probably ate your second chopped tomato, unless it went in the dish before you made the second ketchup
Sometimes this can happen where a recipe needs an ingredient to go in the pot as-is and also needs a second one processed into another ingredient. I've seen it happen with phoenixfire relleno (second pepper gets made into sauce) and with lucky braised fish (5th green onion gets made into fragrant spice mix).
It breaks the recipe and all you can do is let it run out :(
Ooh that's fun, they must have changed the way it is caught! They did say they made it easier... thanks for the info!
worth more than poke bowls with epic fish? surely not
Does anyone know how much 3 starred and 3 non starred cakes (with best quality ingredients/apples) sells for? 756 and 504? or is it more
somethign like hta for all 3 of em
I want to compare it with bean burgers, so I'd need the exacts prices but don't have the ingredients to test this for myself
i ran out of milk so i couldnt make a burger ... otherwise id known im gonna colelct one of each new dish in starred version
yeah I think burgers are more profitable than cakes
3xBurgers - 663, 30x Burgers - 6,630.
ā 3x Burgers - 993, ā 30x Burgers - 9,930
Keep in mind that burgers require 3 vinegar, which cost 200g each at Zeki's but only contribute 100g toward the dish sell value formula
Unstarred apple cakes are 187g each, or 561g/round
Starred apple cakes are 280g each, 840g/round
So, yes, burgers do have higher revenue per round than cakes (but so do muujin Bahari, fish stew/sushi/poke with rare glow fish or better, and perhaps other things).
(sushi and poke - edit: and muujin Bahari - all require 1 vinegar per round, incidentally)
Awesome, thanks for the stats!
The main thing that's been buoying cakes as a sustainable party type is actually that they require relatively few produce items (which are heavily time-gated) and that they can be VERY fast to make with an efficient group - well under 45 seconds per round, sometimes approaching 30 seconds per round.
I'll be VERY curious to see how that shakes out for the bean burger recipe, because one reason muujin Bahari isn't too popular is that it averages a minute+ per round. It's incredibly tedious, though double-roling can take that down some (with accompanying reductions in individual profits). Same issue with Lucky Braised Fish, which has a minimum time of 2 minutes per round.
this is the stats of our test party from today
Time: ~35 seconds per round or 30-33 minutes for the whole party (50 rounds)
Estimated money: 33,150-49,650 (test party of 50 rounds made us 42,720)
3xBurgers - 663, 30x Burgers - 6,630.
ā 3x Burgers - 993, ā 30x Burgers - 9,930
Very nice! What was the star rate, if you know?
65% I think, it was kind of bad tbh
That's about typical for cakes, actually
and for most recipes unless they use either a very very high proportion of produce or fish ingredients (i.e., more starred ingredient weight) or have something wrong with them (cabbage rolls)
Surprised the star rate was so low with such fast rounds, though, ouch
Seems like the timer is probably pretty unforgiving; doesn't the bean burger recipe have something like 5 or 6 irreducible step layers?
we had longer rounds (up to and more), I just noted this down for the next test party
nodnod
Cakes have a 5 minute timer for 4 irreducible step layers (i.e., steps where the previous step MUST be completed first - a chain of dependencies)
including a 10-second baking time
yeah I think this only has 3 layers max, let me check
Maybe I was thinking of the chili...
Yeah I think it“s three: mustard first, then mustard goes into mayo and mayo goes into something (I think)
Pardon me while I noodle...
- Mashed beans (roll) -> Bean Patty (flip) ā
- Farmer's cheese (stove stir) ā
- Chopped tomato ā
- Chopped onion ā
- Basic Dough (roll) -> Burger Buns (15s bake) ā
- Chopped tomato -> Ketchup (mix) ⤵ļø
- Mustard (mix) -> Mayonnaise (mix) -> Burger Sauce ā
- Chopped onion, Chopped garlic ⤓ļø
It“s okay, I love noodles
And make sure you don't accidentally make EXTRA ketchup or you will kill the round XD
D:
Since apparently that's a thing with this recipe, right alongside phoenixfire relleno and LBF...
we only did overprep starred tomatoes, everything else was fine, no doubling
Oh yeah tomato overprep would solve that problem very handily
...hilariously, you could also cheese overprep
for folks who struggle with chopping
If the ketchup messes things up, I'd rather have no overprep on the stoves then
Ketchup is mixing table, no?
stove*
Stove:
Cheese: 50xMilk -
Ketchup: 50xVinegar -
Patty: Nothing -
Mixing Station:
Mustard: 50x Spices + 50x Vinegar -
Mayo: 50x Mustard + 50x Eggs + 50x Oil + 50x Vinegar -
Sauce: Nothing
Prep Station:
Starter: Recipe (ā) -
ā 50x Onions -
ā 50x Onions -
ā 50x Tomatoes -
ā 50x Tomatoes -
ā 50x Wheat (dough) -
ā 150x Beans (3 per round) -
50x Garlic -
Oven:

Overprep (10 max) - prep station:
ā 50x Tomatoes -
ā 50x Onions -
Funny that the farmer's cheese doesn't require any acid XD
like you've already got 3 vinegar in the damn thing, why not go for FOUR
Don't draw attention to this, the recipe already use 3 vinegar
š¤£
Maybe we're just making the cheese in the same pot, after the ketchup, hm
(blech)
The vinegar really is carrying the recipe, though. 300g contributed to the sell value formula from those alone.
...does it not have a starting ingredient?
don“t think so
0_0 no ruined food
wild
I overestimated, 42% non starred, 58% starred
Well according to said friend it is. And we make our poke bowls with Giant goldfish. But we also only do 30 rounds of of poke bowls and 69 rounds of cakes, and now burger beans. I think weāll learn more on Tuesday when we do our first party lol
Oh, ouch
oh I didn't even notice that you guys were talking about this before me
OH yeah maybe if you're not comparing round-for-round
Yeah once you said EPIC fish, I was like wait a minute.. š
Yeahhhh poke with goldfish and dari salsa are 994g EACH, not per round...
Poke can go fast, but most poke parties build in a delay for overprep since the star rate doesn't suffer much for it
We do giant goldfish and then heat root for the salsa but I donāt remember how much it is per round
It's crazy if this will make more money than the poke, I doubt it though. I would be happy if it does cause I'm not a fan of fishing and dari is rare
I think this is starred epic (goldfish if I remember correctly) and dari salsa
I think poke is still the op one, but burgers are better than cakes
I wonder how much starred maws cost since it's a legendary, poke could be even more op
Oh yeah Maws poke is just. absurd.
One nice thing about the bean burgers is that it has a smaller role count (14) vs. cakes (18) and muujin (20)
so a "full party" is only 14 people, or 11 if you have ingredient-bringers double up on the free roles
Is it 260 280 XP per round before focus bonus?
No clue about the xp
oops, it's 14 minigame steps, not 13
Missed a free role
fixed my numbers
(Recipe XP is typically 20 base XP per minigame step)
I can try making this in like 10 minutes and check
All good!
But... mm, yeah, the vinegar really yanks the rug out in terms of "profitability" (improvement over opportunity cost)
the beans, too, since they're worth 135g each if you turn them into seeds
do maws partys exist yet?
You about double your bean value if you turn them into burgers (+117% improvement over turning them into seeds, or an average of 476g "profit" per round assuming 66% star rate)
They do, and must have teams of very dedicated fishers
that must be 1million gold per hour then
O: thanks!!!!!!!!! ā¤ļø
Thank you for your sacrifice to get this knowledge out into the world
the only fish i could ever supply to fishdish partys are common uncommon and rare ones i got to few epics to bother
Save your rares, then :)
they have an use besdies decor or ingredients?
And bundles/relics, I guess, for some of them
i thoguth artefacts were elderfish only so im saving all elderstuf till i maxed all that XD
Yeah, they are
(For comparison, fruit frosters at cake parties more than QUADRUPLE their opportunity cost (+354% improvement) for the apples and sugar compared to solo-processing the apples/saving their sugar money for something else)
Ketchup (vinegar only) for burgers is comparable (+340%) but as soon as you start needing to add other things, it drops, until the mayo role is at +188%
If you're a mayo person (vinegar, egg, oil), if you walk out of a 30x bean burger party with 26.4k in revenue (66% star rate - possibly an overestimate), then after you subtract your costs, it's actually 17.2k.
So, this may be a good time to do something like partial rotations
e.g., 6 people bring enough for 15 rounds of the vinegar role, and spend the other half of their time doing the free role
And beans person swaps with the cheese person or something halfway through
Not sure how xp works, but I have my focus maxed and this was started with a full focus bar
Thanks! Is your focus bonus % at 100%?
Yup, everything is maxed
Hm, that's 260 base XP...
did I screw something up squints
Maybe it just gives less XP than it "should". Always possible.
@mortal quartz would garlic would be fine as overprep for this? Or the price would go down as well
Or having a main role with starred tomatoes/onions and overprep with non starred?
ok so i have a question. I have the quest that i have to make Sernuk Noodle Soup, not stew. And I found the recipe in Ashura's room but it didn't register as a recipe to cook and find when i go to my stove. Anyone else have this issue? or know how to accomplish this quest?
You can always cook with other people who have the recipes, but that's not a solve for the issue but a workaround
thanks! that's a good workaround
I can come over and help you make it if you want
i would appreciate it!
What's your ign, I'll add you (or you can add me - Brigita) . Also do you have carrots, cause that's the only thing I can't help with
i do have carrots. my name in game is Althaea Moon
Overprep doesn't affect the dish sell value in any way UNLESS there is an ingredient variable (e.g. "any fish") and someone uses an ingredient with a different unstarred sell value that finishes being prepped before the ingredient you intended to use.
(Usually that's more of a problem in the case of accidents)
If the OP folks are using unstarred ingredients, then they likewise need to wait for the main role person to finish chopping so the starred version is the one that goes into the dish
(it's basically a race: whichever applicable items gets finished first goes in)
this has been so educational, thank you!
I can give advice on any decor glitch but know nothing when it comes to other stuff haha
Cooking and gardening have basically been my whole areas of special interest in this game XD
wow mine is just uhm gardening and uhm whatever else it is that i do
Because I ended up with friends who wanted to host cooking parties, so they had questions about profit, and so then I had questions about profit, and how DOES the dish sell value formula work (which had already been discovered by Yunna/Dahlia del Rosa, I just had to re-find it), and here we are...
I only garden out of necessity...
Gardening was my highest skill level for a very long time
its still my highest one cozy afk game š
I started out as a very nervous cook
typical water type
I'm not usually a nervous person, but I had some very bad early experiences, lol
at the parties?
I need time to absorb information at my own pace, and "here we're cooking go go!" was NOT that
oop, yeah, some parties are quite intense
I actually did not participate in any formally-organized cooking parties until I was almost 6 months? a year? in
Chaos cooking is MUCH worse for my brain
(I used to basically do little impromptu parties with friends and random people from the server, but we used to establish who was doing what before anyone even touched a stove)
To some people's frustration :P
chaos is the worst cuz then i have to yell at the host what to do
Would anyone like to cook together? Need it for my weeklies plus need to make space for the new update stuff
actually I DO wanna do some other weeklys to while we are at it? aside bug catching or fishing
Sure my ign is tonicsovereign
added
relogging cuz palia is being palia otherwise i cant see u in friendslist
Could someone who has pumpkins on hand please do me a favor and see if they pop up as an option for the starter ingredients for hearty vegetable soup? (and please be sure to check "use starred" if you only have starred pumpkins)
I got tons will do it in 12-18hours remind me then
Is there some kind of glitch? Iāve been looking for batterfly beans for almost an hour and canāt find ANY
where have you been looking? iirc they only spawned under the big trees
Mitana grove, honey miel around all the big trees. Iāve watching several videos and Iāve no joke been running around this area for an hour and havenāt found any
oh no š„² i have a few unstarred seeds in my chest if you can request? or is this your first time looking for the beans ever?
Yeah I just got back into Palia
ahh well i hope you have better luck next time! use the "im not looking" strategy lol
Oh wow! I just found one! All I had to do was ask apparently š
LMAO exactlyyyy
They aren't easy to see (very little glow), so I found it helps a lot to turn foliage all the way down/off so all the bushes and stuff aren't in the way
Oh thatās a great tip! Thanks!
You may need to reduce your view distance to under .70 as well
I wish dari cloves werenāt so darn rare. Loll
You can also purchase them with foraging medals!
Iām saving up for the koi pond. I havenāt gotten it yet. Loll
whats the easiest to cook to go for level 20 cooking?
Where do you find the green moss
The VERY easiest way to get to level 20 cooking is to sign up for a cake party. You can find those listed in #1143270926394335282 and on PaliaParty.app (not an app, just a website used to coordinate party signups).
If you prefer to play solo, the easiest/fastest way to earn XP is probably campfire recipes, as the kitchen recipes give XP that scales with their complexity (i.e., time required to cook them). If you set up a circle of 4-5 campfires and rotate around inside the circle, that cuts the average time per dish down to about 5 seconds.
If you want to kill two birds with one stone and solo-cook a bunch of focus food, I recommend steak dinner, though it's even easier/faster/cheaper with two people.
Emerald carpet moss (green uncommon moss) is found around the lake shore/lagoon in Kilima.
Dragon's beard peat (rare teal-green moss) is found on/at the base of sandy cliffs along the Bahari coastline.
what focuz party should i go to new elder meals or perhaps an older not cake?
ty for the info ā¤ļø
@mortal quartz
Thank you very much! That confirms what I suspected :)
yeay pumpkins seem to be very very bad at everything
...interesting that you can use beans for that, if not surprising.
They are really, really, really bad at everything. Too bad they aren't fruit.
which is good cuz now i dont have to grow those quality up plants ...
Pumpkin cakes would rock.
wait arent pumpkins savoury fruits
so it makes sense u cant use em in sweets
Depends on the culture you come from. In America, they're mostly associated with sweet flavors, and bred for sweetness. In other places, squashes/pumpkins are used in savory dishes more often.
š® thats so interesting where i life they are almost only used as decorations ... im like u got these cool plants that give giant orb shaped food why can twe use that
ren whats more efficient cooking partys for focuz or epic fish dish partys for more and then eating jarred food/buying food from reth?
š¤ Good question
Bought food costs 1g per focus
(pretty much universally, except for the steak dinner, which is more expensive for historical reasons)
Let's compare spicy crab fried rice (SCFR) with tier 2 epic sushi, since they both use rice
They also take approximately the same amount of time per round
SCFR at 66% star rate, assuming 35 seconds per round, produces 2,736 focus per minute
Tier 2 sushi, assuming 95% star rate (which may be a little high), produces 2,419g per round
If you assume 35 seconds per round, then the sushi party produces more focus per time if you use the proceeds to buy focus food.
(Though 35 seconds might be a little fast for sushi.)
Cakes at a moderately efficient party (50 seconds per round, which is not fast for cakes) produce about 3,386 focus per minute
I'm not sure about bean burgers yet, but they are VERY expensive, even if they're fast to execute.
Veggie chili also produces a lot of focus, but dear lord it takes forever
I went to a 100x veggie chili party last night, and the organizer actually called it after 60 rounds because people were bored and starting to have trouble staying on-task
Poke miiiight beat cakes for focus per time?
Depends how long it takes to make, which varies a lot by party tbh.
At 95% star rate (which is on the high end tbh), poke is 2,932g per round. It usually takes less than a minute per round, though, so I'm not sure.
tbh nothing I've seen from any of the new recipes has me jumping up and down in excitement
At least, not by the numbers
oh ic so poeple do burger partys for money
Ostensibly
3 vinegar, though...
I did update my Cooking Party Math spreadsheet with the new recipes:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CqV_SHjfqaYcGcfqg4aVp21tYZACUDNMHYkTo9Wyu-8/edit?gid=1661017249#gid=1661017249
ok i gues it be more or lress hte same but im wasting a spot for someone else to get money if i were to use epic fish dishes to buy focus
I mean, if you're contributing vinegar, dari, or heat root (which still significantly upgrades the value of your ingredients), then it's not like you're "taking up room" in that case
yeay true XD
DS, newest poke party host...? eyebrow waggle
i dont got that much playtime though XD
maybe tomorrow i can try one of thos spicy crab partys
They ARE quite fast if nobody double roles and the starter is on top of things
ok next on my todo list find out hte irl cooking meta but first learn some of hte mechanics
well so far i only figured out the ratios of what u need to eat and total amounts but thats only for 1 meal it gets more complicated if u keep the whoel day in mind but yeay i gues im doing rations lol
are there other ways of finding new recipes besides getting them from Reth? I am currently lvl 3 cooking, nearly lvl 4, and just have the vegetable soup and ramen as a choise.
Yep keep progressing friendships and doing quests
thanks, will do
if you have the keys to the characterās houses you can find some in there⦠i have most of them just looking in their houses or fishing them
when the npcās give you their keys they give you access to their houses
can i cook recipes with someone that I don't own myself?
Can anyone cook with me "Muujin-Bahari" together? I don't own the recipe yet and want to finish this
Yes, as long as the person who has the recipe starts it.
asking again in case someone has actually gotten it; has anyone gotten the stared amber or seed yet? or is it confirmed a myth
Tree seeds and ambers never had starred versions afaik, it's not just the Elderwood ones. I might be wrong though
Can anyone make cream of mushroom soup
where do i get the recipe for chilli oil dumplings
anyone have the fish stew recipe? and is that kindly to cook with me?
anyone got fish stew recipe?
yeah, i am trying to get the achievement but the achievement doesnt list the black pearl as having a stared version - it's only listed in the regular achievement which makes me think the ambers and seeds were purposefully put in the star achievement and aren't a bug but idk. ive chopped so many trees at this point i dont really know
iāve been trying to get that recipe for ages, itās so difficult to getš„²š„²
same here
i hope youāll find someone that has itš
me too
unihorn and yaws or how its called scares me XD also need all otehr fishes allmost from elderwood
so some fish buffs be nice
how so???
??? i heard they a pain in the ... back to fish
ohhhh, yes they are, this is one of the things that kind of puts me off palia, the difficulty of getting certain things
but iām sure with time weāll get the hang of it
or go crazy XD we“ll find out in time XD
how do you like it so far? whoās your Shepp?
nice, mine is Ashura
@mortal quartz thank you so much. I'm so glad there are players helping players cuz otherwise I'd need a full guide book lol
I believe it's bought from Reth's cooking guild store, but I don't remember what level it becomes available
reth's guild store cooking level 9 :)
Hi guys! whats the most efficient food for focus to make atm? when I played last i just made chili oil dumplings
that depends on a few things! what's your focus level and are you looking to cook solo or in parties
My focus is maxed out - id prefer something for both if you could! I have a group of friends who just started playing aswell so im making food with them but id be interested in what is best for solo too ^__^ @marsh drum
depending on the friend group size you guys could find other focus food parties to join either in #1143270926394335282 or paliaparty.app!
or you can set up your own! if your friends focus levels are a lot lower than yours i think finding a recipe that wont waste a bunch of focus for them would definitely help them out, since ingredients aren't as abundant at lower levels! even if you may need to eat more?
Okay awesome, thank you ^__^ I didnt know if there was one that was over all more cost efficient for the focus gain, im def used to min max mentality from mmos i gotta learn to just enjoy it for what it is xD
I've got a whole spreadsheet about this if you'd find it interesting :)
as for solo i personally like steak dinner or tomato soup! and yeah what Ren said LMAO i was about to link said spreadsheet cause its super helpful
Yes! Please ^__^
Thank you both of you ā„ā„ā„
The "What to Eat" tab here is analysis of recipes for solo cooking: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qPbCKTJg8xYlR1Pw60ZkaXAERRkXaMC0r3UZZKLWQ_g/edit?gid=41849516#gid=41849516
(None of the new recipes seem like they would be particularly suited to solo cooking, other than honey-spiced muujin, maybe, but I still need to do that math)
Here's two others, aimed at group cooking, mostly in full parties:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QWali0SNa_9yNYNUTNI1wV5Kj0XEXnaDa3UGErwTipE/edit?gid=1867390297#gid=1867390297
Smoothie bowl ftw
Win what? Award for least cost-effective food? š
anyone have the mujin board recipe and wanna make one with me?
Any idea why standard stove not appearing for me I'm level 4 in cooking
Is there an updated recipe list of where we can find all recipes in game
Would love to join if possible ? It's the last item I need to complete the temple but I'm nowhere near lvl 20 T_T
@rugged plankyoure online by any chance? its about the cooking together from yesterday š
I dont cook much so might be a dumb question but when you hold an item in your inventory, is that the one it will take for a recipe? Reason I ask is for fish foods, Don't want it taking my good fish from inventory
it will take rnaodm ones from inventory first cant really contorl it so far and puts inventory stuff ahead of others in selection box
What if its in lock box?
then u cannot selecxt it adn recipes act like you dont have it
helpful to save ur starred rarer items
or ur starred everything so u can select unstarred if u clicked allow starred
Okay perfect I'll just sneak them into there! Thanks!
Yeah forsure, I want to use starred mostly anywho but not my good one was the case
Also, is fish tacos best fish food? or something better?
Trying to fet my fishing levels to 50
i dont know i dont see poeple eating fish much for focus
Oh I thought some of them gave a buff
yeay but then u eat them for their buff and the focus they give is a bonus but u can lokup which buff give what ont he wiki i forgot as i only need fishermans brew myself
Theres 5 recipes that give buffs. I'm more looking for the buffs over focus
thers more food that use fish but they dont give buffs
for just hte buff use the cheapest fish u can if ur gonna eat it anyways
So i'm assuming all the fish foods for buffs do the exact same thing? Some just more focus?
the fish u use only afffects the dishes gold value so ur wasting money by using hte most expensive if ur gonna eat it
the buff and focus is going to be hte exact same regardles of what fish u use
Probably jsut stick to using the brew then haha appreciate the advice!
A few things;
You can put fish (or general ingredients) in your inventory to make the game prioritize those over the box, no putting stuff in the lockbox needed
Be careful that you need to keep track of how many you have in your inventory, cause after depleting those it'll happily pull from storage
You can even have multiple sorts in your inventory, however the order should go from lowest to highest, if I remember correctly
That means that fish worth 50g would be pulled first, before fish worth 100g are pulled. It should only become somewhat random if you have tons of the same exact fish, then it seemingly pulls from random slots
And like DuhScape said, if you put your starred stuff in the box, you can start starred recipes and force the game to use non-starred ingredients, but that needs you to clear all the ingredient out of the storage (which can be annoying with fish)
Aah awesome, that's super good info! Really appreciate you letting me know!
Since I'm sensing a bit of ambiguity here, all the dishes have distinct buffs
The brew increases the size of your fishing safe zone (bracket kinda thing)
Sashimi makes your rod health recover more quickly, which is really useful to recover from the fish escaping the safe zone for a bit
Since those two are the cheapest (and best) boosts, they're the ones mostly used
Rod health (static) gives you more of a pillow, but once again recovery rate is more useful
Safe zone speed only messes with your muscle memory imo, so I'd stay away from that anyway
Hook time you get from fishing near other people
This one SHOULD be up to date now, but maybe cross-check it with the patch notes to be sure one isn't missing
https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Dishes
What is the easiest way to level cooking? It seems like I'm not getting experience with recipes, do they have to be new each time?
Now having contributed to dish recipe/doing minigame lands u full xp
Oh, so I just need to find a group to cook with?
One good cake part lv 10 instant xd
Oh good to know! I'll keep an eye out for anyone doing a cake party!
What ingredients are needed? I don't think I have the recipe, but I can collect stuff so I can contribute!
Sorry I had some running around to do but this is exactly what I was looking for. Appreciate this so much! Helps a ton
I guess one other question I have for anyone who knows. Does fishing in parties give any buffs? I'm mostly just trying to fast track level 26>50
you get a buff from fishing near others, i donāt recall if itās an xp buff. try the wiki?
For more information, check out the Guide to Cake Parties.
having someone in same party as you next to you gives u the 20% chance of double loot
having someone caught a fish next to u gives a buff that can go up to 5x to hook fish faster
Oh sweet definitely benefitial!
Damn, After playing for 1.5 years I finally got the sushi recipe ahaha
omg and it requires dari cloves... I DELETED 26 of them last week, fail
poeple who cook alot have a chronic shortage of darivcloves definitly do not delete those š®
Oh it wasnt on purpose, I was making room for elderwood stuff in my storage and thought they were a placeable flower
wel i mean if ur not doign bring daricloves to cooking partys anywyas its not a problem but they are in limited supply
Yeah forsure, it was a big mistake. Those 24 were all the dari's i'd collected since starting. So yeah makes sense how limited they are haha
How do you get flow-infused wood again?
Chop a flow infused tree
alright, official favorite food for self-cooked focus food: Fruit Smoothie Bowl.
One chop, one rolling pin, one mix, done for 325 focus unstarred. Not the highest amount, but the effort put in for focus gained is fantastic, especially if you use star ingredients...
where can I find one? I thought they were the trees in elderwood that are infected, but I guess not
bahari, if you take the thing that finds rare foraging they're really easy to find, sometimes they're in kilima too
oh I know what trees now. I just could not think of what they looked like for a minute
Kilima to
It is expensive coinwise though
ah, maybe - its all self grown stuff other'n the milk for me so saving the effort is the priority more'n anything
no more million chops for me
Anyone wanna cook together?
I feel ya
sure i can cook with ya, whatcha cooking
Uh idk tbh , I kinda wanna get rid of some ingredients so I can make space for elderwoods stuff
lmao well, from my perspective all focus food that i dont have to do all the minigames for is good food so
add me in game - Sylvaea Atros. You cook whatever to get rid of ingredients and ill help out cooking with whatever random steps for a bit
though you do realize if i help cooking, the steps i do use my own mats so you... won't be getting rid of those ingredients š
Yes thatās fine, let me hop on
Is anyone else having a glitch when making sushi? I just restarted the game, but I'm weary about testing it again and wasting even more ingredients š
where is the other recipe scrap for Palian Onion Soup? just a hint please
The locations of all the recipes are on the wiki! https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Palian_Onion_Soup
What glitch were you running into?
any here got the fish stew recipe and be able to cook some with me?
When going to chop (don't remember whether it was fish or spices) it would exit the station when I press the button to chop. Then my bow would be drawn and shooting until I use the unstuck button. I tried having a different tool open when accessing the chopping station, but it would still close it out and open my bow when I'd go to chop. Then I'd have to unstuck again. It happened twice in a row with that recipe. It didn't happen with other recipes I tried.
sounds like a realy funky bug
Can anyone help with making muujin bahari pls šš½
Ah, yep, that's a glitch that can happen if you accidentally press the button to pull out your tool (R by default on PC) and the button to interact with the station (F) at the same time. It's unfortunately easy to d by accident since they're right next to each other (and can happen on controller/switch, too, with those buttons)
The only way to fix it is either to change servers (which will fail the recipe) or relog
I don't think it's specific to sushi, as it can happen with anything
Unless it was reproducible with sushi?
It happened twice in a row with sushi. I've since closed and reloaded it. I'll go back in and try it once more, see if it's still happening. I thought it was my controller going dead at first (switch controller on PC). But it happened when using the keyboard too.
Appreciate all the info!
If you'll add me (Eliot Reinald) I'll be happy to send you some dari cloves to replace the lost ones
(to help defray the testing costs)
Can someone tell me how to get āļø floatfish mushrooms š? I got 4 so far and canāt remember how I did it lol I need 15 of those
No worries about that, I can always find more! I just tested sushi twice more. Was successful making both. So resetting definitely helped! Have tried a few other recipes and haven't been able to replicate it.
They're on the huge trees! You can find some in the deep woods!
In what area is the flo potato thing?
so if im making say, star sushi - does fish quality matter? Like there's star fish, but there's uncommon star fish vs common star fish - any ol' star fish'll do if i wanna star my sushi?
the fish needs to be star quality to start the recipe i believe. which fish you use i think only affects how much the dish costs if you plan to sell it, not the buffs themselves.
perfect, thank you!
u can use any chances of starred sushi are just alot higher if u use starred fish
if ur gonna eat it for hte buff use ur cheapest fish if ur gonna make it for profit ina party the most expensive u can do without
Has anyone found star Ancient Wood seeds or star Ancient Amber?
I havenāt seen anyone with proof of getting them, so iām pretty convinced theyāre either not supposed to be a part of the achievement or they arenāt dropping like they should be
Haha ok thank you, I've been going crazy cutting trees and not seeing any
is there anyone who's willing to have a tiny cooking party? c: i need the muujin bahari bread if anyone is willing!
hello does anyone know what items are tracked by the dowsing rod in elderwood?
looking for 3 people to do sweet leaf for a 200x cake party if anyone is available :)
200 cakes is a lot!
Are flowtatoes only in the deep woods?
Still neeed?
lf people to party up /w to cut down flow trees! :3
i'm late but yesyes! only if you don't mind c:
Im down
Add me tonicsovereign
Dowsing rods track rare and epic forageables, so my guess for this is:
- flowtato (rare)
- elderwood lotus (rare)
- elderflower (epic)
Edit: seeing reports that flowtato does not correctly show up on a dowsing rod, but haven't tested myself.
yep can confirm it's all these + some infected essences (the ones i got gave 6 or 7 each)
Huh!
uhhhhhhh WHY are these 115g each?
per the usual formula they should be 52g each
(the ingredients are honey, muujin meat, spicy pepper, and spice sprouts)
cause eshe said so
Apparently! lmao
Unfortunately, this makes it impractical as focus food, because it turns out more expensive (focus per gold eaten) even than cakes š¬
And it's slow, 40-45s per round even with a full party (because of having 4 irreducible step layers, same as cakes)
That said, check that star rate, wtf
(i was able to update the wiki with the current sq value so thank u)
i wonder if theyre gonna adjust it
The unstarred sell value is most likely 77g, because that's the only whole number where +50% rounds down to 115.
it is 77 according to the wiki ! i haven't had the chance to cook anything yet
31 rounds, ridiculous
That said, if you don't care about eating your gold, it's probably one of the more practical 412 foods for 2 people. And it's semi-profitable even solo, I think; more than cooking solo usually is, anyway, especially if the star rate holds up. (Keep in mind that nobody who was cooking it with me just now was below about 200 cooking level...)
Cream of tomato soup is probably better for 2 people, although it requires 3 produce items.
sometimes i just cook for vibes and so this may end up in the rotation
Hm, if you split cabbage rolls in two... it's 5 prep steps, mix. So that's, yeah, 4 step layers if you only have 2 people. Plus somewhat more gold-intensive ingredients, considering the cabbage. More flexibility, though, considering mushrooms and meat can be anything (including crab) without affecting stacking.
Yeah, it's a good vibes dish. I just wish I could eat it without feeling like I'm putting gold leaf on my food š
not the gold leaf LMFAO
Very straightforward to make.
seriously I think Eshe snuck some truffle shavings into the honey glaze...
But this also means I need to double-check ALL the recipes for gold value anomalies š©
ą² _ą² candied kopaa nuts are 24g unstarred
why do you need milk for these
per formula, should be 33g
the wiki says otherwise apparently
im still bothered by this WHY MILK? are we making caramel???
XD
lore wise im upset
It really should be butter... if they're toffee?
RIGHT??
Maybe the milk is to stick the rest to the nuts?
Anyone available to help me lvl my cooking it's only lvl 7
BUT WE'RE USING HONEY
but honey... yeah.
HE DOESNT EVEN MENTION IT IN THE RECIPE BOOK
I can
Best advice I have if you wanna level cooking fast is to join a cake party :) Check #1143270926394335282 and paliaparty.app - if you're new to parties, I recommend the sweet leaf role because it's very straightforward
@gloomy hill appreciate you
At first I was like "okay what if the milk is not supposed to be in there" but that would still make them 27g apiece, not 23?
but leaving out either the kopaa nuts or the honey WOULD get you to 24g...
hm.
Ah. Pumpkin curry and rice comes in under what the formula predicts, too...
no, wait, way OVER
?_?
did they change the formula for the elderwoods..?
Maybe, but also, the gold values are ultimately manually entered into a table.
what does the formula predict and what is it actually?
I'll need to test to re-verify the wiki number (179g), but per the usual formula, it should be 97g.
yeah.
what is up with these recipes LMAO
Hm. That is. Actually lower than predicted, for star quality.
(expected value is 145)
...and that's what you get if you completely omit the pumpkin and kopaa nuts.
did they do the LNY thing AGAIN?
What is/was the LNY thing?
The ingredients they added with the Luna New Year update (cabbage, bok choy, green onion, and ginger) have their values omitted from the sell value calculations of dishes, INCLUDING if you use any of them as the "chopped vegetable" variable
(cabbage rolls don't omit the cabbage, but they're broken in a unique way lol)
it seems like something similar happened at the very least
also the wiki is just completely wrong currently /LH
...yes. Chili oil dumplings made with pumpkins? 100% omit the value of the pumpkin. facedesk
š
not sure how i feel about the idea of cooked pumpkin being in chili oil dumplings in general
since its omitted from the value, can we also omit the use of them in that dish
It does seem to only apply to items that use Chopped Pumpkin maybe
Because Hearty Veg. Soup with pumpkin, spice sprouts, and staircase mushroom is the predicted value.
geez
god only knows what's happening with that honey baked muujin, though
omg the smoothie bowl selling for so little in comparison to the ingredients ouch
i'll make it once and hopefully get star quality and never again
and if the wiki is correct, non sq sells for 132
hello
is there where i ask if someone can come to my plot and help me cook for the bundles?
That sounds high
On the upside(???), pumpkin curry beats EVERY single other recipe for focus per gold eaten, clocking at over 10
i actually can make that one i have the ingredients imma check
142 starred (as predicted)
which would put it at 95 unstarred
Where is the wiki getting these numbers?
I need to cook
- Muujin Bahari
- Apple Pie
- Blueberry Pie
- Trout Dinner (Starred)
I can get all of the ingredients if anyone wouldn't mind coming to my plot (or you can host if you like) and helping me cook them
Oh. They're pulling it from the tooltip on the recipe, which is almost never right...
im not sure im gonna update them as i find out what they really are
Well... it's pretty!
i would like to know what the little seeds are!!
i need them to better their descriptions
my food lore doc is LACKING
There's already strawberries on there :P The seeds sorta look like rice o_O which makes no sense. The green ones are pumpkin seeds, though.
im curious if the big fruit is the piksii berry?
Yeah, it is, it looks like that when you roll it

hey i got star quality
3 apples, 142g each dish starred... you LOSE money compared to jamming the apples, oh my lord (to say nothing of the blueberries)
its so bad
At least with apple pie parties (also 3 apples per round for the apple person) you more or less end up even with jamming them, and it rips through your apple backlog very fast XD
i may have to try to get non-sq on my alt booo
95g for normal quality
they did NOT need to keep the roots on there
yknow you right LMAO
does anyone have a list of how much focus does every elderwood recipe provide starred/non starred?
<@&1216796663071637585>
Thanks!!
It's in a couple other channels as well incase you didn't see yet
ty!
The wiki has this info on the Dishes page iirc
Is there a list for how to obtain all Elderchef recipes?
The new recipes locations are listed in the latest blog post
https://palia.com/news/patch-191
Ohhh tysm I totally forgot about that
oh ty so much i was always looking at each individual recipe on wiki and could never find this info š is the focus increase for the starred version always the same percentage?
Yep! +50 percent, rounded down
tysm šš¼
Does anyone else have a hard time finding coral or is this a me issue ??
theres not that much of it and tis only at beach in bahary bay where u tend to not have anything to do so u never walk past it either unles on purpose
It shares spawn points with shells, so try picking those up too :)
oh so thats why cuz of course noone bothers to pick that up
It can spawn anywhere along the beach, too, not just Coral Shores XD that confused me when I was new
suhca a misleading name its not a ashore made of coral
not in flooded fortress though
does anyone have like 10wheat and wouldnt mind helping me make some food?
hi ! Im looking for ppl in order to cook, wanna cook? š
yeah id love to but I might not have what you need
just help me to stir, etc š Add me and come to my plot : Raven Forbes š
oh, starred canned beans is 285 focus and just around 30 min production time š
I've seen a plot called Cooking School. Is that a thing or just the theme of the house? Sadly I didn't note the name of the player.
I keep forgetting to do the math on this, thanks for reminder
%}>#!! I HATE it when collectibles are stuck behind invisible walls
is there anyone who's willing to have a tiny cooking party? c: i need the muujin bahari bread if anyone is willing!
How many thousands of oysters do I need to open to find Einar's last lost pebble?!?!?!?
About 2 thousand
(I am not joking: it is a .001 chance, and only ~60 percent of people will get it within 1000 attempts. 2000 attempts gets you to ~86 percent chance of success, so expect 2,000)
My strategy was to pick up a stack or two of oysters every day when I went to get the Bahari rummage pile
Oh my lord, I didn't know what the percent chance was, but that explains a lot. Thank you.
That's exactly what I was doing
On the upside, oyster meat is excellent glow worm food!
Oh is it different than any other thing like sweet leaf or something?
Anyone wanna cook different recipes with me and a friend?
Sweet leaf produces QualityUp since all sweet things do. Oyster meat starts out worth 11g each, but produces 1 glow worm (25g) and 3 HarvestBoost fertilizer (5g each), for a total of 40g output. So it gains 29g of value if processed into glow worms and fertilizer, and that's only if you sell them both. If you use the glow worms and fertilizer (if your garden layout needs it), obviously they're worth more than that.
All of the low-value, savory meats and forageables worth 25g or under gain at least 20g in value in a glow worm farm. Staircase mushrooms (9g sell value) also produce 1 glow worm and 3 fertilizer, so they gain 31g in value, more than triple!
However, they might be better sold as muskin, depending; I need to do some math on that.
Hm... muskin is 18g, takes 5 minutes to process. Assuming staircase mushrooms, that's +9g per mushroom. Much higher gold per crafter slot hour, but much lower yield per mushroom, of course. I'd recommend it ONLY if you have so much excess meat and forageables that you couldn't possibly process them all into glow worms.
(i.e., storage issues)
is anyone around to make 1 muujin bahari with me š
i have all the ingredients, just not the recipe. i want to finish my bundles
Wow thank you that's good info
Hello,
Does anyone want to cook with me ?
99.9% chance of not getting the pebble wooooo
i got my pebble on my 3rd tutorial oyster where they introduce grilling oysters ....
but if anyone needs more unopened oysters u can requets up to 4 a day which aint much but 4 extra chacnes per day and lots of poeple have to many oysters (me included)
I'm deeply curious because I swore I saw something on someone else's playthrough video.
Is there a real black pearl? If it does, is it rng from opening those clam shroom thing?
Yeay u dont got one yet?
Nopeee. But it's good to know it's actually real after all haha
im not sure i fhte starred v ersion is real though onlyk got one regular
Fortunately, it's not a starred black pearl that the accomplishment requires. Just the starred amber and starred tree seed... which I think don't exist.
is only one way to find out if it exists makes someone else grind for it if noone gets it within a month its non existent
I reaaaally suck at cooking, how to i get starred food? Trying to get the avhivement lol
A big chunk of it is RNG. You can improve your chances by:
- using more starred ingredients
- completing the dish faster
- possibly by having a higher cooking level
One of the best ways to accomplish the second one (and make the first less costly) is to team up with others to cook the dish :)
Thank you! I think I'll just wait and find someone to cook with, this is so stressful š
it deos getr wwaayyy easier if u get used to it abit more considering u never gotten anything starred yet i doubt u tried much but yeay cooking with others is muhc easier XD
I've been cooking quite a lot, and got some starred foods, just didn't understand why it was sometimes starred... been playing for a year, so yeah i've tried a lot
oh ic yeay it was non intuitive at first idk why but allmost all my food is starred for some reason
Anyone know how much it be when cooking maws into fish stew sushi etc?
Sennel Deuragonov made this awesome chart of fish dish prices, including elderwood fish:
dang maws ur slaying it
maws partys confirmed 1million gold per hour for sure
lol not counting the hour of fishing per fish
I mean its that money for the rice or garlic overprep poeple supplying fish have to deduct loss of fish
Yep, I'm just saying that "gold per hour" isn't necessarily an applicable metric if a group can only float a maws party every few weeks
Even splitting the fish among multiple contributors
ancient fish parties then?
Yeah, that was the previous "meta" (ancient, goldfish, unicorn, and now mermaid is in there too)
if you fish in the temple of waves, do you ONLY catch ancient fish?
What I expect to happen is that parties will end up being mostly tier 1 epics with some "bonus" Maws rounds.
No, it's cave fish + the ancient fish, and there are no starred nodes in there, either
If you can pull in ancient fish without needing a bunch of fishing buffs, yeah
I personally prefer ponds, because goldfish are available at any time of day and fairly easy to reel in. Cloudfish (rare) are also pretty good for sashimi and so on (morning/day). But at the lake there's a chance of getting giant kilima stingrays as well, so.
I don't like to fight for my fish XD
who does tbh
(The nodes can be reset so you can fish from them again until they time out - you either run 150m away and come back, or go into a villager's room or other instanced area)
lol I have a friend who LOVES catching ancient fish XD I think he likes the challenge
i like to use the mirror pond mini-ruin-station-place
Pro fishers fish so different ā¦
can someone explain this to me? i dont know what to do
this is easiest to do in Kilima, and you're going to want to head to Maji's Hollow or Whispering Banks and then collect three mushrooms :)
why are there never focus food partys when i can play
Looking for tips on how to get dragons beard moss best please
At bahari coast with a dowsing rod
what's the best focus food to make and eat? not sure with the new recipes if there's anything good... i only cook on my own if that's a factor
this depends on your focus level, but steak dinner is definitely one of the best :)
oh im at 1000
I didn't realize until I started playing with headphones on that forageable plants make noise. It's like Skyrim all over again.
this cant possibly be real
@small wing that ur party?
jk cuz of the 30 maws uve already caught
i like veggie chili to cook by myself, 1000 starred and not that annoying to do alone
that uses a LOT of crops which is quite expensive so i definitely wouldnt recommend that if youre cooking solo!
ok apparently this is real
true depends on their gardening habits. i perpetually have a lot of everything so it doesnt bother me and uses way less steps than other 1000 focus recipes
what do you need to make flour?
You sadly dont make it you buy it from Zeki. I would like if they allow us to make some of the ingredients when the husbandry stuff comes.
especially since we have wheat, rice, corn, potato... wheres our windmill
ik right?
I just really hope they allow us to make and get from the animals Flour, butter, milk, eggs etc
I really wish watering plants gave you exp
i need kimchi for one of my recipes. how do i get it?
