Yeah only things that take up an entire wall (like big windows, the fireplace, etc.) count as a room... the little add-ons do not.

So that is probably where a window would go if you had a window there. There is often a problem with placing stuff where the windows would be even if you have no window there. Are you on PC or console? And how much glitching do you know? I'm not sure there is a glitchless way to fix this.

Hello! In my alchemist cottage if I have two stacked, I can open up the floor of the second story so that the ceiling of the first floor is open all the way up to the ceiling/roof of the second floor. This does not work in the ancient home - so wondering if it's a bug that will be fixed or if it's intentional?

Have friends visit your farm with you and feed, pet, & gather from your animals. Then visit their farm and you do the same for them. I leveled up SO fast that way. Think I am level 117 for ranching now and we have only been doing that for a month or so.

There are a few options for this. One is the spring fever, which you have, or the Emberborn brasier. The other is using things like torches or candles and log carriers etc. to make your own.

I have made lots of fires, though. You can use the braziers and the log cabin torches in a variety of ways. Let me collect some pictures... First one is the little log cabin torches and the log cabin wood holder. Second one is the little log cabin torches with the spring fever fire pit (not the best picture, but the torches make it actually have some flames). Third is braziers and tall log cabin torches. And the last is a really old picture, but the best one I can find of the other firewood holder with the little log cabin torches.

Just take it slow. Cancel placement is the most useful glitch and a great starting point. It allows you to move things temporarily--they will be moved and placed in a new spot on your screen, but not actually on the server. So when you reload your plot, they go back to where they were before. It allows you to put more than one thing in the same spot. Once you know how to cancel place, you can sink, float, rotate, etc. It's really the basis for all glitches and lets us do way more than the game allows us to do!

Yeah, it's really frustrating. I have a village I'm working on and I was all excited to have the alchemist conservatory windows, only to realize that to use them, I had to remove two other buildings from my plot. 😒

Just making sure you know you can mix the types. It's 14 of any homeline room in one building. You don't have to make all 14 ancient or alchemist (although clearly it might look better if you do, depending on what you're going for).

Either I sunk them off an anchor that is under the stairs or I used the one-cup method and used the house as the anchor. I can't remember. Most of the stuff on this plot is done with the "anchorless" floating/sinking one-cup method, but this was at the start, so they may actually be anchored to something under the house.

I answered you over in game-help. You need any Kilima furniture recipe you can find. It might not be a starter set, but just a single recipe--Tish probably sells a couple different ones. Just start crafting Kilima things and eventually you'll get the wagon wheel recipe.

Yes- some people exceeded 9k items…. So they made a hard limit fix so you don’t risk losing your plot.

Someone figured out if you flip the floor checker board mat backwards while right side up, it’s an invisible wall. You can constrain folks from seeing the exact edge/bareness of the plot by limiting their paths that way…

You can get up to about 3750 and then you can't move stuff anymore. They won't wipe your plot, but you can't actually go above 3750 at all anymore.

The popup appears when you hit 3750, or if you try to put a house that is over that on tours. It says there's a risk that your plot will be wiped, but no one has seen that happen, and I know for a fact that old plots that have 9000 items have been posted on tour with nothing happening to them.

I unstacked a alchemy house briefly FOR BUT A MOMENT, and when I tried to re-stack it in the exact same place i keep getting the 'somethings in the way' error. This happened to me the other day, both with attaching rooms side by side and on top of each other; it ended up being the chandelier I had on the celling of the first floor room. I was so mad because I had moved things around so much and picked many different items off the walls. At one point I had even picked up an entire furnished room in frustration and it STILL didn't attach. I ended up having to redo half the house.

I'm pretty sure that the way this works, you won't get an interior node if there's no house on the other side of the wall. The nodes for the tree pillars are actually on the outsides of the houses, so you can get a tree to place inside because it's actually placing on the outside nodes of the next house over when houses are connected. If there's no nextdoor house (so if it's an outside wall), you won't get a node to place the tree post inside.

You have to have the roof there first, color the roof with the trim attached so that the trim changes color, then you can remove the roof and the trim will stay colored.

There's multiple ways, personally I like to use this very simple one (place terrace on plot, attach row of floors, place small crate using off-grid placement close to the floor but not touching it, then alt select the crate and use it to move the whole thing out of bounds)

If you place your station on top of a crate, it will sit at the same exact lvl as ur floor, but it won't poke thru. You just take another builder's piece and cancel place the crate with the station on it close to it, so that when u hit multi-select on the crate without the station, everything turns green. You can then move it however far u need to, to get it to go under the house, and place. However far u move it, is how far it will move from it's original placement position. You just have to make sure this is all done on the outside ground/grass

It's just using multi-select with multiple pieces to get the crate to attach to the fence. You need the crate on top of the terrace to multi-select by to get it on the other crate, and u need the fence piece on the terrace to multi-select by so that it thinks you are attaching a fence rather than the bottom crate. Hope that helps

Okay, here's the text walk through... 🙂

1. Put the fence and a crate on a terrace.
2. Group select with the crate and put the terrace on top of another crate.
3. Group select with the fence and put the terrace on top of another fence--it will pick up that bottom crate, too, and you want it to snap to the node on the end of the fence that is on the ground.
4. Remove the terrace. The crate is now attached to the fence on the ground and you can use it to move the fence where you want.

Is it the wall next to a hallway? That wall has been buggy since like September. You can try moving the room somewhere else and decorating the wall and moving it back, but no guarantees that stuff doesn't just go into storage when you start changing walls by attaching rooms in different places. People have said this works, though--I just haven't tried it.

Oh thank you so much! I still need to finish it, but I'm really happy with so much of it I decided to just put it on the tour board anyway. The ornaments are floating off a builders wall that is hidden in the wall of the house--I put the wall down and then cancel placed it sideways before hanging all the ornaments, so they end up hanging in the air to the side of the builders wall. Then it was just a matter of getting it at the right spot inside the wall!

You don't need to flick the windmill if you have a present. You can just place it on a red present. It doesn't count towards the building count.

the exact color of that wall is unobtainable as it is not only a blue purple, but dirtied as well, so it wouldn't look quite the same to use the starstone ones. Light Amethyst is close, but not blue enough and a bit too bright

I agree with all of this. I also hope they start making all the default wallpapers of the new homelines available. Because if you like the way one looks, you can't mix any other buildings with it because you can't match the outside or inside wallpapers if you're using the default.

Flicking with the cobweb lets you flick whatever you want wherever you want. So if you rotate your table 90 degrees, you can use the cobweb to flick a wall item onto the table top. The only thing to be aware of is that wall items always come out of inventory facing the same direction (the front is facing east usually), so you'll want to make sure you have your table top facing east so you don't end up with the wall item placing backwards or sideways.
