There is, but now if your plot is overlimit, you can no longer move or place things on it. I'm honestly not sure if the method of going overlimit still works, but if you are already overlimit, you get an alert if you are over about 3725-3750 and try to move something.

Is the alchemist set only the two buildings? I mean does it have hallways or anything that are part of it?

It's actually only one building. Same with the estate. Both of these are simply a base room that you can connect (and stack) to make a bigger house. Then you can add stuff to it like roof trim, dormers, stairs, etc. Even the "alchemist cottage A" and "alchemist cottage B" are simply a base room with add-ons. Once you buy your first alchemist cottage A, there's really no reason to buy anything but base rooms after that, since you can get all the add-ons separately. (It was not like that at first.)

And no, there are no hallways... none of the original rooms connect to the two new home lines rooms (alchemist and estate).

Yes! You can stack two base rooms on top of each other and add stairs and you have a second floor. And you can even add stairs up to the attic as a third floor, although you cannot connect the attics between houses (like if you had two stacks side by side, the first and second floors can be opened into a single room or two rooms with a door opening between them, but you cannot do that with the attic spaces).

I took a big risk and took apart my building with my cutting-tool-placed fireplace, just hoping I could get it in the right place again, and then cancel placed half the stuff on my plot to make room for the cutting tool again. But I got the open ceiling trick to work, and I got the fireplace back, and I am so glad I did this... It looks so much less claustrophobic with the ceiling gone!

Yes! Mortis figured it out and posted a while back and I finally tried it. It works because stairs attached anywhere will open up the ceiling. So you put the house on a red present and turn it upside down. Then from the inside (yes, with it upside down), you flick alchemist stairs into the nodes that are now above you (since the house is upside down), and they attach outside to the underside of the house. I put one on each corner and a fifth one in the middle of one side (I had to cancel place a few away into another house to get them all to place). Then you just pick up the house and place it down again right side up (it doesn't have to stay on the present). The stairs stay attached and hidden under the house and the ceiling opens up because it thinks there are stairs there!

Odd question but why do people use the red present in particular for glitching? Does it just work better than other things?

You can place almost any item on it, including things that only want to go on the ground, or even some of the buildings. If you can obstacle flick there are often many other ways to do things, but it’s especially useful for console players since they can’t flick.

You can stack alchemist or estate rooms! Just make sure they are built first and that there is nothing in the way, then from the H (overhead) menu you just pop them on top.

You can either put them on red presents, and line them up closely to look connected (I cancel place the last house out the way to get them super close)
Or without a red present, add a house to the very corner of the last so it doesnt connect but is right up against the last, and add from there, they'll be aligned very close together

It takes a lot of practice! I did about 4 house builds on red presents before I could get them close without gaps!
If you're using the red present, add a second story, and grab from the present to cancel place the bottom story out of the way. The top will remain and you can use it to line up the next room

There's definitely a learning curve, but you can do it! Just turn a paver upside down on a shelf and place the shelf close to ground, grab paver and aim it at the ground but pull an item out of inventory instead of confirming placement, place floor on paver, put paver back on shelf and turn upside down, slap your light on the floor.

And larger will give u a nice flat surface, while smaller ones will give u a more "bubbled" textured look

If u want to save ur item count, go with larger and scatter smaller ones here and there

So rlly u don't have to sink them unless necessary. The floor piece is hidden, you just have to move the floor piece itself into place

This one is for single anchor enthusiasts out there, whenever you want to anchoring multiple objects on on anchor either float or sink at a certain height and distant, just map it out first physically and move the achor into it accordingly instead of trails and errors

I fully agree, I would love that. I know they're working on the next area of the game, and my hope is to also get a mount, because i really want a horse or a deer like creature in this game to make running even faster, but the drawback would be that you cant collect on the mount so you need to run normally to gather things so that people dont JUST use the mount, but if you want to get from say H to A, and dont have a sign anywhere, and dont want to pick up anything, go for it, use the mount. AND we sould get stables as a placable building ON the plot for them

i mean i work at a cveterinary office, i know how weird they can be. have a regular who comes in, dog always growling at me, i say his name once and he stops and gives up, give me all the spicy animals, i'll handle them

i can only speak for myself, but i so far have only really done house tours purely to get the tickets. Since I was never a decorator until dipping my toes in yesterday. You put the dessert plate on the tip of the floor, rotate the shelf, and its a very small hit to place the book onto the dessert plate. I can't remember how to snap anything.

I'd recommend putting the floor higher on the pillar though, then rotate the shelf to make the floor "upright."

I don't use a floor, it's way too much in the way. I just put the plate on the edge of the shelf. But if you just place the book on the edge of the plate, then it will stay on the edge of the plate. After you place the shelf sideways the first time, you have to move it down one click and forward a little (less than half a square) to sink the plate into the bottom of the book.

I sunk it at an angle because if you start on the shelf and go down, the book im floating remains angled because the paver was angleded to begin with, and to float you just do the oposite, but you cant exactly fake place the paver on the shelf and then angle the shelf because it doesnt stick to the shelf and will remain in place, am I making sense??

When I learned to float and sink things, you use your shelf construction to determine the height and stuff. So when you sink something, you place your anchor on the shelf, then fake place that anchor to the ground and place your actual item on the anchor. Then you move the anchor and it snaps into the right height and distance you set up earlier. And the same the opposite way for sinking, start on ground and end up on shelf to get the right height for sinking something. Now how on earth do you angle it and float it at the same time?

Do you know how to cancel place? Sinking and floating both work the same way and use cancel placement. You need an anchor for whatever you are going to float (a paver, a plate, a builders floor, etc--something you can either work into your build or hide, because your floating/sunk item will be "attached" to it). You cancel place your anchor (up to float, down to sink) and then put the item you are floating/sinking on the anchor. When you pick up the anchor and place it for real, the other item will be floating/sinking--the same distance and orientation as when you cancel placed the anchor. (So if you want to float something 2 big squares up, you cancel your anchor 2 big squares up.)

That was done by just turning the grid off so they don't snap to one another They either turned by one or 2 ticks for every floor going around. Looks like 1, and used the outer (back) corners to line them up

Are you sure u didn;t accidentally connect 2 together? sometimes they can merge with each other. Try putting it on the front or back of ur HH if it will let u multi-select it

The centerpiece I built for this plot alone ate up about that much. Surprisingly I was able to make it work tho. Just had to block ppl from being able to run around outside the pathing XD If they hop out of there, they will be looking at a whole lot of nothing

I wish they had waited until they increased the limit to get rid of going over the limit

The plots and buildings are huge. There is no way to completely cover a plot without going extremely minimalist

3,500 items rlly isn't that much. Even for a small room like a hallway piece u can end up using 100's of pieces

Any idea why my crafters keep misplacing themselves when I have them set on builders blocks? Not doing any kind of glitching, just standard build placing them on the blocks or floor tiles for this build. The two that teleported out of bounds of my plot were placed on wood floor tiles on this elevated area within my pavilion. And the ones floating in air were on stone blocks inside my starter tent. I have it placed behind my pavilion and the two joined by basic ramp blocks. Seriously nothing fancy at all. But every time I leave my plot and come back they have moved to these random spots. Is the only way to place crafters on building pieces to glitch/cancel place them? I can't for the life of me get the hang of it yet

if inside the room or structure and you place crafters and or workable tables on blocks, they will surely teleport, they need to be grounded (anchored properly to the ground)

with the new alchemist and estate, you can instantly have an upper floor by placing another base room on top of another, then attach the stairs inside

I’ve seen older videos where they place crafters on wooden boxes inside of the pavilion. But maybe it was due to being a year ago. Maybe a patch broke that capability of it being an easy thing to do

with these you'll encounter related ones and get an idea of what people are up to
