Takes up too much when stored, so it erases it. Plus side, u can dye things in place instead of having to pick them up and take them to the bench

Yep, you can put them on the edge of a plate with a shelf to angle them. You can also use a soup bowl so there is no extra anchor piece, but that way is a bit harder

Hai everyone, im trying to make a giant christmas tree on a plot by using the float glitch and want to know what you guys used as an anchor for it, im using builders floors but, would like to know if there is any better options that are smaller.

If ur on pc and know how to flick, you can use just about anything with a grid on top.

If not a red present is a good option

Srry was afk for a min. You have to have an item out that has already been placed, then pick that item up and move to where u want the tree flicked. Stand close enough to the item you are holding, to where it says "something is in the way" and then hold down the mouse button and hit the number key that contains ur tree

I think it works better to hold down the mouse and then tap the number. Less timing issues. Plus try standing so your shoulder is in the item for the "something is in the way" message. And if you have a spooky spiral cobweb, you can flick without needing the "something is in the way" message.

trying to time it that way makes it much more difficult than it needs to be, holding the mouse button in, then hitting the number key is the way to go

Other than knowing how to use the glitches tho (set ur console up for them), you can follow most any tutorial. The only thing a console player can't do that a pc player can is flick

Is ur issue that it keeps un-anchoring? Are you placing the anchor on something other than the grass? Anything between the ground and the anchor will cause it to detach

Same with placing them on top of something inside the house. Anything between the floor and ur crafter, and it will detach

But for most cases the answer is no, you can get a similar result to flicking in some cases. But for things like "overriding placement authority" that's strictly PC at this time.

you can start on the wall or place the floor on a shelf, just know that if u do floor only, it slides rather than snapping at increments going up and down, so less accurate

You can also do it with a builder's wall, but with a shelf, you can only move in 1 small square increments up and down, rather than half a small square on the house wall

also don't use the front or back of ur house or it will explode/merge ur stuff (Alchemist I think only 1 wall does it)

Start with your floor either on a wall or on a shelf that is on a wall. So if u put it on the bottom right corner, go 1/2 sq left, 1/2 sq up?

It's what has been deemed "pushing" with multi-select. Since ur piece would already be on a builder's piece, you can simply push that builder's piece with another via cancelplacement and multi-select to get it out there

However, you do need to know the height so u know what to anchor to

I call it sinking/floating with the 1 cup method bc you are essentially pushing the limits of the 1 cup technique, lol

Just a heads up if u are using that technique, make sure the builder's piece you use is placed on the wall, then picked up and placed again before using it, or it could turn on you and go red when u go to multi-select for the sink/float. Annoying but easily avoidable

Tho you can do it without the present. All you need to do is float everything higher up off the floor, so that you can then sink your floor into the ground underneath the window to hide it

So you just have to figure out how high everything needs to float to where it looks like it is sitting in the window, plus the height of the floor piece added, then you can use a builder's piece on the wall, cancel place that floor piece onto it, multi-select by the builder's piece and push the floor piece down so it is hidden.

Same idea as pushing that I was talking about before, you're just sinking it by using the wall

That's done with something called a cutting tool. You use the HH house and other rooms to make a jig that detaches things

Well, dedicated I wouldn't say so... Your cutting tool will need to be used on the plot you want your standalone rooms/addons on actually

You need to be smart in the way you use it, as you can't move the room/addon you cut once placed If you didn't place it right, you'll have to re-do the glitch

I picked anchoring houses up because first what broke it was not fixed, the parts just popped back to spots on other plots but were no longer linked and couldn't be influenced by moving anchors

Just adding that I did mine differently than in the video. I don’t think the part near the end where you switch plots works anymore, but you can make the cutting tool sort of hurl things further away in order to get them close together (or even out of bounds). If you want a fireplace in a cottage for example, you have to do this, because the cottage has to be placed down first, and it would be in the way using the method in the video. Something similar happened to me, where i somehow accidentally glitched a tree to place in one plot but appear on a different plot. Every time i would water it, it wouldn't grow on the intended plot, but it would appear in the next growth stage on a different plot lol

To this day, no idea how i did it 😂

You may have better luck with the red present as I know they're still functional on them, Ive never tried flicking them straight on a terrace before.

You can add one directly on the red present, and the rest will connect to that soil. And add the present under the terrace? 🙂

Crafters have to be either touching the floor or the grass, or on an anchor that is touching the grass. So having the builders block between the crafter and the floor of your house is the problem. Like Noucheee said, you can float your crafters to the height you need off of an anchor that is placed on the ground outside, and then place a builders block item under your floated crafter. The crafter ends up looking like it's on the builders block but it's happily attached to the ground outside so that it doesn't get yeeted to the lamp zone.

Hi, not sure if this is the right spot for this, but I'm having an issue with the Snowy Dining Table. I had it in my house, and when I placed a dinner plate, it clipped underneath the snow on the tabletop and now I cannot pick up the plate or even remove the dining table from my plot to replace it because it says I need to remove all interior decor first. Yeah, we have unlimited decor storage, and in that they really just need to keep track of how many of each item we have in their database of items. But add tints to that, and now you need a new category for each differently tinted item for each piece of decor, which makes the list of items they are keeping track of already almost 13 times longer (original coloring plus one for each of twelve tints). Add new tints to future patches and the list grows very rapidly.

Shelf as any shelf that u would need to rotate stuff, with cancelation u can "fake" moving it down, so after u place the bookshelf on and move anchor, plate will snap up and hide inside of it

The basic method is to use an item on top of another item and group select to transfer its placement properties. So a bench won't go on top of a bench normally, but a pillar will go on a bench. So you put the pillar on the bench, then group select with the pillar (using alt on PC, I don't know what it is on console), and then when you pick up the pillar, the bench goes with it and is now placeable on top of another bench (it inherits the properties of the pillar you group selected with). So you can stack benches (or shelves) this way to make stairs. (And you just remove the pillar when you're done--it's just the means of moving the item and doesn't have to stay.)

There are plenty of youtube videos that show this, too.

Did you try specifically a dessert plate? That's what I use for a lot of my anchors. If it won't go on that, then red present, which then you'd have to sink to hide it. (Hopefully I'm understanding your question.) Also the pavers will get fixed, but I'm assuming you don't want to wait that long.

Are you on PC and do you know how to flick? Because you can flick it onto the plate, although most people find learning to flick rather tricky.
You can sink the present easily, though, if you know how to cancel place (much easier glitch to learn).

Present is a fair distance from the lights, well outside of gazebo - I'm not sure I understand the second half of your response

its not the present that is the problem - the lights are, but u dont need to redo the thing, u need to get the light out of the way by canceling it away, it will go back to old spot when u place the red present down again

I do a lot of Gold runs in Bahari, and during my gold grinds I always stumble upon a bunch of epic bugs on the way.

long before it appeared in lures you can only get them by cutting trees in bahari (north and south inland), the juniper ones...so try that or lure in outskirts E3

sometimes they're just crawling everywhere...it's just rng...it's all different bugs for all of us

While I don't believe that they intended for it to work exactly the way it does, it doesn't function the same way as a glitch perse. If u add to it tho, like say anchorless sinking and floating, you could then consider that a glitch. With multi-select you are just grabbing and placing something, which is built into the game

just put down the estate base to see how the windows were and i see that theyre exactly like the alchemsit house. Which is one of the things i hated about the alchemist building. I want the windows to be like on the harvest house where u can actually see out of them.. So that made me a bit dissapointed. I guess ill be sticking to the harvest house line.

i love the way the alchemist line looks, with all the ivy and stuff. Its the vibe i want for my house BUT the way the windows are make it so i dont wanna use it, i wanna be able to see out my windows. This is the layout of my house rn, and i would love to make a house like this but with the alchemist line. OR, atleast being able to add the ivy, the twisted column and the chimney thingy onto the harvest house.

My one last complaint for the day is, overall i love this game. BUT, i think the biggest problem is inconsistency with focusing on improving EXISTING features. People wanted improvements to homes, so they made the home lines (half baked). Instead, i think major improvements just could have been made to the existing housing system. Now, IMO, we have two "meh" housing systems at this point.

You can sink them. But I think you stacked two of the medium ones here? You could use the smaller ones on top. The floor of the house is basically the same height as three of the small terraces, or a medium and a small, or a large. (The large is the same height as three smalls, and the medium is the same height as two smalls.)

That works! Other ways you can do it is to put the pot inside an empty room and pick up the room, or (my personal favorite because it's funny) you can put the pot on a shelf, then move the shelf to the front wall of your house. Everything in the pot will explode out into the air and you can grab the flowers out of the air.

Cancel place the terrace out of the way, then place your paver where you need it, and the terrace will jump back into place because it's connected to that paver.

You can do stairs up to the balcony from below. Having a door onto the balcony only works when the balcony is on the roof of the first floor and you have a second floor stacked next to it.

Sadly only the front, but you can put a trellis/arch on the doorway to make it seem decorative or a curtain/drape.

Ahh I found the issue, it seems like when you're pushing a Pavillion from its anchor it can only go up to 14 buuilders floors far from the presents starting point.

Thankfully it can chain anchored though without teleporting to go further

I flicked the first one on rotated like this, then went up by 4, cancel placed, and flicked the next (this is not a full piece yet) Second pic is the hanging side. I flipped it upside down, and held a pillar to the plate, it will say something is in the way on it's own and flicked. For the lights, I just stood a certain way so they faced right, and adjusted them by moving the wall with cancel placement before flicking

So actually super easy to make it if u can flick

You could make 2 pieces, or keep extending the one as much as u like, then flip upside down again and count the distance over, and cancel place that distance to flick the other hanging side
