The way I do that makes the present not under the house anymore though, but I set a red present on top of another, cancel place the top present onto the ground a house length away (so it doesnt collide with first) and then add the house. Once you place the present again the house will pop down

Hmm it might not of been far enough away from the thing youre sinking off of, I usually give it quite a bit of space but - there is always sinking after its already on! Youll just need a second anchor

Yeah, they place anywhere though, sort of like the alchemist trees but they also freely place inside

Yeah, I was just thinking that since they were meant for the corners, they probably aren't actually sized to not poke through the floor if you put them inside. It's just a side effect of putting them where they weren't really intended to go. But I'm happy they will place easily inside unlike the alchemist ones!

Probably everyone is more observant than I am, but just in case... at some point with this patch we got a reward of a tint starter pack. I absolutely did not notice that's what it was because it looks a lot like the blue present. But I just discovered it in my storage... it has 20 of each of the original tints in it. So if you didn't open that and just stuck it in storage because you thought it was just the blue present like I did... there are some free tints in there!

There's nothing new specifically for the alchemist cottages, but all the stuff that you get for the estate houses will go on the alchemist cottages, too.

Do you have an idea for a theme or anything for your house? The grand harvest house is really huge and personally, I found it very hard to decorate. The alchemist cottages are cool because they are so versatile--you can open up walls to make bigger rooms and obviously have that second floor. But it all depends on what you're aiming for.

I am def after the elderwoods alchemist style, its just going to cost a fortune to get so many of them lol.

My advice is to only buy the first cottage A (to unlock the rest) and then just buy base rooms after that. The two "cottages" A and B are just base rooms with add-ons, but you can buy those add-ons separately and just get what you want/need. There's no discount to buying them bundled into the cottage.

a great place to start is the "dessert bowl method" and then learn "cancel placing" both of which can be found on YT :)

The easiest two glitches to learn and that actually help you do a ton are using a bowl or pillar with group select (which lets you merge things) and cancel placement (also called cancellation). You need cancel placement to do many other glitches like floating and sinking, so it's a good place to start.

once you feel confident in understanding those, you can move onto rotational glitches. you can search for "sinking" or "floating" guides on YT, but you need to have a solid grasp of cancel placing before you move onto these.

If ur soil ever un- anchors from something and ends up in the lamp zone just make sure u pick it up immediately

Also, u don't need to waste ur presents if u can flick. A crate and a deesrt plate are the exact height you need

I just found that, and it didn't have tint in it, but it had a bunch of the ingredients for the wintery tint, so essentially it has tint. And yes, it's called "wintery bundle" and it looks just like the red present.

You can anchor them all to just one present, you just have to measure ur distance. I'm assuming you're putting it in the conservatory?

There lots of ways you can do this, but a super easy non-glitch way is also just to use another base room--you can completely remove the walls so that you just have pillars and a roof, so then you just need to make steps up and you have a porch!

So I did the cutting tool yesterday for the fireplace and got it exactly where I wanted it got my estate as close as I could and put the wall up but when I went inside the wall blocked the fireplace. Like that fireplace wasn’t in the house far enough but I couldn’t get it any closer. Any idea what I need to do

alright so im a little confused on the house first part cause where the fireplace is going i have to have the harvest houses there to do the cutting tool to have the fireplace where i want it. or am i completely missing something lol

I’ve never used the cutting tool so I don’t know how to do this, but I was under the understanding that there’s a step where it actually launches your item to the other side. So the house wouldn’t be in the way because you’d launch the fireplace there. Because you can use it to get things out of bounds a little. (At least if I’m remembering this all correctly.)

Oh I thought you meant you'd found a video for the extra step. There definitely is an extra step where it will launch your fireplace, so you would be able to put the room down first, you just have to get it in the right spot. But I'm only reiterating something I read at some point, and I don't remember exactly because I haven't done it myself.

summary though: you can easily sink/float items this way, and it’s extra great because you can very easily adjust the item if you don’t like its position

step 1. place whatever item you’re trying to sink or float onto an anchor (i like using dessert plates because they’re small and easy to hide, but you can also hide whatever the anchor is by sinking it into the floor later)

step 2. cancel place the item away from the anchor so you can place a pillar on it, then alt+select the pillar (so it grabs the anchor too), place it back down, and the item you’re trying to float will snap back. after this i like to line up the item so it’s easier to visualize where you want to move it

step 3. you need a crate placed on a harvest house wall for this part (to float/sink. i’ll explain how to move it horizontally in step 4). alt+select from the pillar again, then cancel place the pillar against the crate. now, alt+select from the crate, then move it up (to float) or down (to sink) the desired amount. once you’ve moved it up or down, place the crate and the items will snap back to their original location except they’ll now float or sink (depending on what you did)

step 4. to adjust the horizontal location, all you need to do is exactly that ^, but with a crate placed on the harvest house floor instead. just attach the pillar to whichever side of the crate, and whatever direction you move the crate will be the direction your item moves

and the great thing: if your item isn’t exactly where you want it, just alt+select from the pillar again (without undoing where it is currently), and you can put it back against the block (keeping in mind how far you want to move it relative to its current position) and keep moving it until you’re happy

Maybe the video I’m watching isn’t the right one. There is one where she switches the plot and then places it down before it switches and does one where she just does the glitch on the same plot

I will put all the steps so you are sure you are following them all. Start with harvest house and hallway and three large rooms. Put it so the door of the harvest house is to the top/north because you need the back to the south. Put the hallway and three rooms to the right/east. Move the center room and attach it to the south/back side of the harvest house. Get rid of the hallway. Move the center room back to the side of the house. NOW here's the important timing. You place your alchemist cottage on the opposite (west) side of the house, because that's where the fireplace ends up. I managed to get the placement right the first time, but you might need to play around with the placement. I took pictures of where I put it to get the placement correct so that the right amount of fireplace is butting into the room. Then put the fireplace on the center house on the right/east side. THEN you move that center house to the back of the harvest house and the fireplace will jump to the left side where your cottage is. Change your wall to one with a door opening and ta-dah! (editing this post to add: cutting tool fireplace cottage so it can be searched for later!) (editing to also say you can do this in any orientation— south, east, right, left was just for the explanation, but you can start out with your harvest house facing whichever direction you want/need)

the string lights simple don't stick with the cancel placed item at all...

The pavers work but, I need the smallest one for this glitch x'D

However, if you initially placed the paver 5 to 6 blocks away from where you're flicking it, it will not register the distance at all

A lot of things will flick onto the ground instead of onto your anchor if your anchor is in bounds--it will recognize the ground grid over the anchor grid, especially for things that want to be on the ground (planterlife decor, trees, etc.). So if you hang the anchor out of bounds, there's no ground grid to interfere and the flicked item will go on your anchor much more easily.

I tested out the lights on builders walls. You can't place on one wall, but if you put two side by side, you can place them and then remove the side wall (the lights are attached at the center). I tried spacing out pillars, but I couldn't find a distance that would make it work. It might work with a whole bunch of pillars lined up but I didn't try that...

Yep, they can't store the furniture with tints anymore because with more and more tints it's too much data. Unfortunately we don't get the tint back.

Make sure the anchor is as far off the flooring as possible (place it without the grid)

Flicking them on was a little finicky, I'd suggest flicking it on with the spiral web and make sure nothing is in its way north/south

So I got them to float without putting the anchor out of bounds, using the red present. But if you want to use the plate which is smaller, then it might work better to float the plate off the shelf so it's not even on the edge anymore. I cancel place the entire wall apparatus forward like a big grid square or so (it doesn't need to be exact), place the plate on the edge, and then place the wall apparatus down again. The plate will be floating in mid air away from the floor/shelf. Then, put your wall on the edge of your plot so the plate is floating out of bounds. Cancel the shelf up as high as you want and then flick the lights onto the plate with the cobweb. When you pick up the plate and put it down they will be floating.

Try doing it like this, because it was super easy and didn't require out of bounds... Place present on ground. Cancel place present on shelf above as high as you want your lights. Flick the lights onto the present with the spooky spiral cobweb. Place present back on ground.

I measure by placing something normally, counting the squares and cut that number in half. That should be how many over you need to go

So the springfever trellis for example is 2 large squares across, so to line them up I cancel place my anchor one large square over

Also, I’m not sure if you realize this, you don’t need it to say “something is in the way” with the cobweb. The cobweb can be lighting up green and you can flick.

Okay, so they are floating, but not floating where you want? Whatever distance you move the present when you cancel place it is how far the lights will move when you float them. So it's actually keeping the distance exactly the same as you moved the present. if you want the present directly under the lights, you need to move the present straight up when you cancel place it. If you want it under one end of the lights, you'll need to figure out where the end of the lights end up being, and put the present under that. You have to measure how far to move the present both in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction.

Correct it's not floating where I want.

The distance is being met but in the wrong string location... Because when you pick it up, you pick it up by the center. So, be default, it should be floating the way you placed it - by the center.

Not exactly. It will be floating in exaclty the place where you flick it in relation to where the present was initially. So yes, it places in the center of the present up at the top where you cancel placed it, but if you were to put the present down EXACTLY where you had it initially, you would see that the lights are exactly where they ended up when you flicked them.

It's not going to jump over to be centered on the present on the ground. Also in terms of height, you have to take into account the height of the present. So if you don't want them that high, you have to cancel the present not quite as high up.

Figure out where you want to hide your present first. Then cancel place it exactly where you want the center of your lights in relation to that hidden spot. Then flick the lights. The distance will be conserved perfectly. Nothing about the center of the lights will be preserved with the present when you pick it up and put it down again. Only the final location of the lights is preserved in relation to the present.

Hey yall, I'm trying to glitch some young pine trees into my house using red presents as an anchor, but whenever I do, they end up moved out of bounds on my plot. I am on Xbox and know how to cancel place/float/sink ect. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it.

Make sure the anchor is on the ground and the height of floating not above 10-12 builder crates, if you place the anchor inside the house floor they'll behave like that.

If ur using 1 cup sinking/floating just make sure that you switch your anchor point by either anchoring those to ur floor, or the outside ground that way they don't un-anchor if u ever change the wall u moved them on. It's looking rlly good btw

All u need to do to re-anchor is set ur crate on the floor, cancel place ur shelf onto it with the pillar on top (use a 2 stack of crates it's easier), so it grabs everything, then just place it right back down in the same spot. Simply moving them this way on a surface changes the anchor point

So if u did that on the wall again it would re-anchor to the wall

Yep, the pillar is what the crate grabs so u need it. Tho if u ever take it off and want to move it again, you can put another on it. Just know that if u need to cancel place the shelf onto a wall to do it, once u activate the glitch, the pillar will pop back to where u placed it on the shelf, and u'll need to pick it up

Nope, it just matters how high you go when anchoring to the outside ground. You get more height with the house floor

and even more with the wall but u can't move very far away from it, and if u change it ur stuff un-anchors (the wall)

Yeah, someone else noticed this the other day. FireflySkies was letting Seth know the things she found that had lost the ability to be dyed. The cozy camp pillows are another one that both lost their tints if you had colored them and are no longer tintable. I can't find the post, but he was looking into all of this.

Fwiw, I just checked in my dev build and it seems like the entire Spa Day and Glamping sets are functioning with the new tints system now.

Will likely be fixed in 199 but there could be an issue I'm not seeing in this environment that requires further investigation.

If anyone else notices any other items that used to be tintable but aren't in the new system please call it out.

I can't find the OP but to the person who called out the Snowman plush can't be placed on tables, thanks for the feedback. I adjusted it so that it can be placed on tables but will be a little bit till this change makes it to live, likely in 200.

Are the estate columns meant to be able to be placed on yardwork terraces? I see they're able to place freely anywhere else but not on those :c is that ticket worthy?

And also Id like to bring to your attention that the estate railings are a little awkward, they fit well on the side of the homes with the door, however if you want to add railings to a second side they don't align or fit well at all without cancel placement to move the first one out of the way. I think a lot of players who dont glitch will find trouble getting the railings to look right on more than just one side.
Maybe a corner piece in the future, or if you could lessen the collision on their ends so they overlap more? As is they're a bit tricky

The problem isnt that I cant get into tint the problem is after I've gotten into tint that I cant apply the tint even when I have it

The furthest I can move down is olive tint it wont let me move to the apply button to apply the tint

i think one way to make it faster is use a different fertilizer than usual and therefore there is a lot less in it and then put a quick crop in that's done in a couple hours ? i had this issue very often as well and i think that's the thing i did

(For the new tint recipes, you need to buy them in the different guild stores: Auni, Ashura, Tish, Hodari and Einar) The modification table has been change into the tint crafter, you craft your tints then put down your furniture on your plot. From there you'll get an option to open the tint menu when you aim at your furniture

Oh. I didn't get the tint option because I didn't know benches can't be tinted. That's what's confused me. They should us just apply the tints like you apply wallpapers, floors or rooftiles. Simpler. XD

Quick note since I went to check the msg Pickle linked you to but... The person's problem wasn't that they couldn't access the menu, but that they couldn't get to the apply button, just like you do

Try aiming higher or around ? If not, put an empty room down, pot in the room and pick up the room

And if you don’t have an empty room or space for one, you can put the pot on a shelf and then put the shelf on the front wall of a harvest house or inside front wall of an alchemist cottage and the flowers will explode into the air out of the pot.
