Yes, it lets you put the paver directly on the floor piece, and then you have space to put your items directly above the paver

What would differe a bit more would be if you used a house wall instead of a builder item

Also if you can visualize things in your head, a little info about this: When you use cancellation to glitch things (in this case it's the paver), try to keep in mind that the spot your first placed your paver will be the spot your paver will go back to at the end of your glitch. If you can keep it in mind, you'll have an easier time with that technique

Yupp, although the painful part is the table because I’m placing a table and I can’t place it directly, it needs a cup, and I’m building above the terrain, so it’s like trying to like move the table into the paver and then replace the paver to sink the table

Although not sure should I do this extra step, but it’s there i guess XD

A terrace piece ? If your items are on it everything will always select the terrace piece as well, but I said to use a pillar since it'll help you better with the table on the paver as you'll be able to place it easier if it merges with the wall of the shelf

I used the present trick/glitch. I just used a red square present and put it down and then I was able to put a tree ontop of it. Only problem is it seems to reset when I leave the plot and they end up spawning at the entrance of my plot.

This is because you have too many things connected. The limit is 50. It doesn't have anything to do with how high it is, it's how many items are connected.

Where are you putting the red present? On the floor or on something else? (I don't have a red present to test with, but I flicked my tree directly onto my flat alchemist cottage house roof (so basically a floor) and it stayed. When I tried flicking it onto a terrace on my roof, it kept teleporting--that terrace between the tree and the floor/roof of the house made it not stick.) If you're on PC, you can try flicking the tree instead.

I did test this with flicking onto just a builders crate. Trees behave like crafters. They need to be either touching the ground outside or the floor of your house, or if they are on something (like a builders crate, or I assume a red present, although I don't have one to try this with), that something has to be touching the ground outside--it cannot be on the floor of your house. Having something between the floor of the house and the tree does not work and they teleport to the entrance once you leave and come back.

If you flick the tree directly onto the floor (PC only unfortunately), then the tree will stay. The alternative is to move your house, place your tree where you want it, cancel place your tree out of the way, and then put your house back and reload.

They are so dark! White walls helps. Making "windows" from the door openings also helps. Then lots and lots of candles.

Bright wallpapers definitely help, I also find having lights at multiple levels really helps! Ceiling, high, medium, low, and floor.
I like the homestead lamps a lot, and I hide camping lamps inside of other things with cancel placement to make them glow

To do this, you close the wall and place the window box, then switch to the door and the window box will stay.

Hey guys, I am finally starting to make enough money to really work on my home. The default plot is just my newbie house where I put the hodgepodge of things I got. The second plot I actually want to desing. Thing is, I don't even know where to start.

How did or do you start this kind of project? House first? Landscaping first? I am standing on my empty plot and I am just staring into the void, completely overwhelmed lol.

I am going for a winter/christmas vibe. I know its the season but its what I always want in a home no matter the game and month. I am thinking the grand harvest cottage is the best place to start and build on from there and I know the christmas event is coming soon where I can get all the decor. I should probably therefor start with the house and play around with how I want to set it up. I want a cozy cabin, nothing too big and lots of little nooks here and there. I will eventually move my soils and crafting stations over as well :3

I have not done it myself, but I think you have to do it in pieces, with no more than 50 connected items per piece. Then you can maybe connect those, but I'm not sure. It's clear that people have figured out, because there are some enormous constructions out there, and I think it just has to do with the order you attach things... if they are all in a chain, you will hit 50 fast, but if you chain individual smaller sections together, I think you can get away with it... Someone else who has actually done this might know better than I do.

I just built that wonderful platform from LilaStern's tutorial inside my garden/flower house to put my preservers and seeders on and it worked great. I totally forgot they'd be yeeted to the entrance. I was so proud of myself /cry LOLOL!

If youre trying to put it 5 builder floors or less out of bounds you can set up this rig on top, a builders pillar on the placeable area of the log, your builders floors attached to the pillar, and builders blocks attached to the floors AND the ground. Youll know you connected it properly when you group select the bottom builders block it should stay centered on the block rather than the whole thing.
Then you can place the block on the edge of bounds and it will push your log out

You can then remove all the builders pieces and the log will stay

I’ve only played Palia for 2 months ish. My plot is still very undeveloped. I’m struggling to come up with ways to hide the crafting equipment, or incorporate it in a way that’s not ugly. I have an intellectual disability so I can’t come up with any original ideas, and this problem is difficult to google

if you've got access to the builders materials, you can try making a shed of sorts, with the stone or wood panels? Set up three walls, maybe a roof with the floor panels? Decorate the outside things you can hang on walls? Use some of the log fencing too for a rustic feel?

at least until you can unlock the gazebo. I've used that in the beginning when i started finally decorating my plot. but by then, you'll have unlocked a few side plots and I now have all my flowers growing and my workstations working on a seperate plot just by itself.

You have two options I think,

The first one is to mark where the building goes with flowers and move it out of the way,
Place the floated crafters where you'll want them to be
Cancel place them away,
Put the building back
Reload

Or

You can use the same method you did to float them to create a second anchor to the side rather than up about the distance youll need it inside.
You may need to cancel place the crafter out of the way to place the anchor in the right spot outside doing this

Its hard to visualize how the glitch will come out at first but you've got this!! 🙂

Count the squares between outside, and where you want them!
Start your anchor on block one, and cancel place it on say block 6 if thats your distance
Then add your anchor thats holding the floated crafter 🙂

I gave it a good try but the videos I watched although showed me how to float lots of items, didn't help with anchoring the crafters. All I found was a floor or crate. If you come across any videos that specifically show how to float a preserve jar inside a harvest house, please let me know. It took me a second to find one! But I think this tutorial simplifies the process well actually.
I just tested it and it lasted the load to kilma and back, so it should work for you. With the harvest house one builders block is floor level.

You may need to cancel place it when moving around the anchor to get it into place but it should snap back to its spot each time you place the anchor so you don't need to reload your plot each time

And with floating lots of items, you can do it off of the same anchor. Cancel place the crafter away, and cancel place the anchor to the next spot you'll want them.
Preserves jars are about 1 big sqaure so you'll want to move your anchor half a sqaure over before placing the next one (I think I can check)

Okay half a big sqaure on the ground will merge them some, so if you dont want that probably 3 quarters of a square over

You have too many pieces connected. The "stack" refers to how many pieces are attached, and you must have hit 50. It has nothing to do with height even though it says "too tall." If you put them next to each other without attaching them, you will have no problem.

Yeah, it's possible but requires a bit of glitching of course It's simply a rotation glitch, you anchor your tree to a plate or paver by using obstacle flick (or a red present if you don't want/can't use flicking)

New to Palia… I’m trying to use the Builders walls/floors to create a shed (within plot boundary) and I cannot figure out how to place the flooring as the “roof/ceiling.” Do I need to use the pillars too? Everytime I try to use a floor whether wood or stone as a ceiling piece it does not want to line up correctly. I am using a Series X console player if that matters when it comes to glitching/decorating.

Try by placing the anchor out of bounds such that there is no ground grid behind it
(I don't flick but it's a common fix around here)

Builders floors tend to place by the edge against a wall but if you try to place it from above they like to be centered, so either try to place it just below the top edge of the wall (or pillars) or you may need to learn cancelation to not have half of it hanging on the other side

Im in the process of a video tutorial but its

Two alchemist houses sunk into the ground so only the roof is visible and I used the essence wallpaper flicked onto them.
One is a flat roof, and behind it I have the other for a type of waterfall effect

I put camping lamps in the ground towards the back to add the glowing effect on the items

The big purples leaves are ancient trees turned on their sides

I tilted a few flow trees sideways for their glowing effect

A lot of the items are placed on the ground under the alchemist house to make them appear sunken into the 'water'

I think thats everything note worthy but I'm always happy to help further if you (or anyone) has more questions

Glitching is one of those things that can be tough to learn initially, but once you get going it gets much easier 🙂

I would suggest starting with cancel placement tutorials, its a gateway step to a lot of other glitches!

Are you on pc or console? The process is a little different for the two, but on pc its just picking up a placed item, and moving it to another place temporarily by hitting a hotkey of another decor item rather than the mouse

Ive had trouble with certain lamp posts as well, id suggest trying to learn with your placed object as a builder block
And your hotkey item as the biggest decor item you can

You'll know it worked if the builders block looks placed in its new spot, and youre holding the big item

You can't add windows to the walls, you can only open the walls up. The doorways have windows without anything connected tho

That way they are evenly distributed and none of the same one are touching, or barely any are

I would choose my flowers by the color way I am designing the room in tho.

Only the front wall of the alchemist building will give you a door to the outside--the other three will be just openings. Inside, though, between rooms, there are no doors.

So you need to rotate your house to get the front wall facing in the direction you want it and then you can have a door on that side.

Don't place anything between them and the floor on houses (pavilions & gazebos incl.), they're allergic to that
If you want to have them on anything else, it needs to be anchored to the ground
Also they will show up on the entrance of whichever plot you changed to before going out/logout

Depends on the overall color pallet you have going outside. Do you plan to have a lot of warmer tones/wood/etc., or is the whole exterior on the cooler side?

Then you just need canceling, place the terrace where you want the windmill, cancel place it a little bit to the side, place the windmill, then reload your plot and the terrace should be back with the windmill

well heres the thing, i built myself a house and after some time decided to change it because i didnt like how it looked. most of my walls are green and blue, and for some reason i made the upper floor light color. soooo now im in a dilemma XD

You can do more than 1 wall. You can do 2 walls wood and 2 walls blue if u like, or even add details/trim to a space to break up the color

Example -

The lighter colored floor and the rich wood tones help accent the blue while toning it down a bit and drawing ur eye away so it doesn't solely focus on that color

That looks good. The wood breaks up the color, and the lighter floor brightens the space, while also blending and matching the trim and details on the wall

I would choose a different tone tho for the wall wood. A bit too rich/contrasting when u can't see much of it

The easiest way is to build a jig with walls and flick it on there using that. You could also stack the new alchemist houses and butt them up against the GHH to do it if ur using walls for roofing

The angle is rlly difficult, you have to have it close enough so that when u angle ur mouse it just slides it onto the roof. It can take many tries to get it right. With the alchemist house it has a grid, so it makes it easier.

You have to line it up with the invisible grid on the edge of the front of the house. It may be easier to do with crates than the floor of the Alchemist house. With those you line up ur mouse on the bottom of the crates, right at the corner, the green would be the edge of the roof line, and the red is where u need to point -

There are lots of tutorials on YT for making custom stairs, but avoid the ones using bowls as bumpers, bc that is obsolete now.

Most ppl make them out of pavers, stacked floor pieces, benches, etc.

There are 3 ways. Pushing things out of bounds via multi-select with builder's pieces, or building out from the edge of ur plot grid using floor pieces. You can also anchor items at a distance from their anchor and hang them out of bounds

You need to have all of ur plot squares unlocked first tho

Please help a girlie out Trying to make a layout for my winter resort. The big house is the check-in desk, social area with games, common kitchen, and dining area + library.
The one to the right is the common bathhouse and toilets. Tempted to put it there because of the little ice pond because of ice bathing.
The greenhouses are huts for rent with a view of the nothern lights and that spot shows them the best.
The remaining huts are just regular huts. I wish to fit a market and stuff, but i also want it all to flow naturally, where should I put everything? The main house can't be moved, it's perfectly aligned

With where u have everything now, the layout that would make the most sense is to add your outdoor communal area on the back of the large central building, and put your stalls there. Then you can either add more rental huts in the empty corners, or make them seating areas with a fire, etc. for the rental huts on either side, and connect them to the communal area and huts with pathing

Im trying something else too, with the communal bath in between the greenhouses and the rental huts, and having a market in the empty corner. Might add more buildings and i plan on making a out of bounds sitting area in the back on the hill. hopefully this will work as I imagine
