I’m just guessing, because I haven’t tried with this particular furniture, but if the sink is too low then you can stack as many pavers as you need on the floor and just put the sink piece on top. I’m just guessing you’d only need one or two. I’d place the sideboard first and cancel that out of the way, then do the pavers and the sink piece, then reload.

Once you cancel your floor from the shelf to the ground, you can simply place your pit normally

Put on shelf, lower to the ground and cancel the placement (I just took out my pit for it), press esc to get rid of pit, take it out once more to put on the floor, move floor away to activate the glitch

Put your pillar as close as possible to the wall and put it down. Pick it up and cancel its placement away. Pick a 2nd pillar and put it in front of your anchor, multiselect from that pillar and move it backward a little

Only if you anchor it to something like a paver (for the tent) the rest... Only a few exceptions with the red present, but it's a bit tricky, you should look up tutorials for this (and know a bit of glitching techniques first)

Once the pergola is attached to the pillar, the distance between them won’t change. So you can cancel the pergola away in order to move the pillar. The pergola will move the same amount. (I think I’m understanding your question at least.)

You can have 8 chests per plot. The amount of storage won’t increase but that means you can have 8 more chests on your second plot, etc. So you can hide the pink ones on a separate plot, if you aren’t fond of the color, but still get the full palium storage space.

Hi! Is there any way to glitch bay windows on console? I managed to do it with a friend’s help, but when I place the building in continuity where the bay window was left floating, it ends up getting covered by the wall

I made this one a while back, its a lot of Log Cabin Small Torches on a Log Cabin Coffee Table with a Homestead Barrel in the middle of the table with torches on top.
As everything is on the table it is also moveable.

There are more torches aroung the table and some yellow plants (Cave Cap Flower) which adds to the size.

I don’t think this has anything to do with being on console. If I’m understanding correctly you are putting a house/room next to your freestanding bay window? I think you have to open the wall of the room because the freestanding bay window won’t do it. You can only open the outer wall of alchemist cottages, though. (I haven’t actually done the bay window trick so I’m sorry if I’m not understanding your question.)

You can hide plates in the floor with the “one cup method.” You would only have to sink them a tiny bit so you probably wouldn’t even notice that your pergolas dropped that tiny bit.

To glitch the bay windows, I placed a harvest house exactly where I wanted the bay window to be. Then, while I deleted the harvest house, my friend would placed the window at the same time. That made the window stay floating on its own. I want to place four continuous windows on one side of some large rooms. The problem is that when I place those rooms next to the floating windows, they get covered by the wall. I’m not sure if I explained it well

You would basically get your pergola where you want it, then put a pillar on the plate. Put a builders block on the wall, then pick it up and replace it on the wall once (sometimes it does a weird rotation so this second placement takes care of that). Line it up in a square on the wall to make the sinking easier to measure. Then follow these steps for each plate/pergola: cancel place the pergola outside so it’s out of the way. Group select using the pillar. Cancel place the pillar on the side of your block on the wall. Then group select with the block, slide it down a little on the wall, and place it. The pillar and plate will pop back to where they were but sunken. The pillar will still be sticking out of the floor so you can repeat the process if you need to. When you’re done, you just remove the pillar. @iron maple

I had to change the layout of the back of my crafter's camp house, because I couldn't get wall texture to go on one side of the back rooms. I even added an extra hallway piece on each side thinking that would help, but it didn't. I was able to do it with the large room when it was connected to the hall piece, but I couldn't with the medium rooms.

Just remember that your pergola is now anchored to the wall. So if you change that wall, it will pick up your pergola back into your inventory!

There’s a max distance, which Lila has listed in the notes for her video, but it doesn’t matter which wall you choose. You can switch the anchor to the floor, though, which is what I do. I can’t trust myself to remember it’s anchored to the wall. The floor you aren’t ever going to remove, so it’s safer.

To do that, once you have it sunk the way you want, you put a builders block on the floor. Again cancel your pergola out of the way and then group select with the plate. Cancel place it onto the side of the block on the floor. Then group select with the block, pick it up , and put it down in the same place (use the grid). It will go back to where it was and stay sunken, but now the anchor is the floor!

(If you move the block, it will move the plate/ pergola the same amount. So you can use the block on the floor to move things around, too. I use it to move things where they don’t want to go.)

This happened to me the first time I used them but the text was saving, I just couldn't see it unless I checked the sign twice, but never loose connection (it was a while ago now, haven't tried recently)
Also character limit is different (smaller) on the sign than in the switch prompt

Ok so I am trying to get an early start on decorating my home for winter lights. But when it comes to decorating my winter lights snowy tree and my basic winter lights trees I can't seem to decorate the higher branches because when I move the joycon up the decoration moves too far up like into the sky up and when I move it down it goes below the ground. How do I fix this? I have tried resetting the game and I tried to travel from one plot to another and even to kilima and back to my home plot and nothing works.

workaround is to stand above the nodes to be able to place things on them, u can build urself a staircase with chests or building blocks to gain height

also make sure to report it so it will hopefully be fixed in the next update

I tried that too and can't seem to place the tree ornaments where I want them. And the ornaments go further out forward when I use the joycon too. Cancel placement is temporarily moving an object from its official spot to an empty location
It goes back to its official location by going to kilma and back, or another plot and back.

Here's how to do it:

Put a random decor item in a number slot on your inventory (i use 3 out of habit)

Place the first rug where you want it
Next pick it up and hover it over an empty location where it won't be in your way
(Ensure its highlighted green)
Next instead of pressing your mouse to place
Youll press the number key for that random decor item (3 for me)

It should look like its placed in that spot

And you can add the next rug, and repeat until youre ready to reload your plot to put them back

If anything doesnt make sense please let me know

I think its considered a building so you can't anchor it to a paver i belive.
You may be able to put it on a red present though, but it only works for some buildings not all, and I dont know if makeshift is on the list.

The red present allows almost anything to be placed on it, including ground only items, alchemist accessories, and even (some) buildings

The tent is actually not a building (you can have it in your inventory) though its walls and floor behaves like a building's, that said what you're looking for is flicking (object flicking) to place it on a paver, PC only tho

It's not broken at all, it is required also only for things like buildings and this tent, nothing else. Don't ever trust a tutorial that is overusing the present. What makes it special is that surface is tagged as being able to have anything placed on top.

I would say not supposedly, it does work. Most important is getting cancel placement and the rest is variation of it and on PC also flicking for specific situations. If u try again u can DM or ping me here and I can try to help

If the tutorial for the book lying down was more than about two months old, then that is most likely why it didn’t work. The way the gourmet bowl worked changed a couple patches back so the old way, which unfortunately is in tons of tutorials, no longer works. There are other ways, but learning cancel placement is the place to start. You can do tons with that once you know it.

With cancel placement you are just tricking your plot into thinking you moved something out of the way, but the game itself doesn’t know you’ve moved it. Are you on PC?

So to cancel place you pick something up that you want to move and move it to somewhere where it could go (so it’s green, not red), but instead of placing it with your left mouse button, you hit the number key for something placeable in your hotbar. This can be any piece of decor or starred food or whatever. When you hit that number key, it will look like you placed your original item but the game doesn’t actually register it. You don’t have to do anything with the item from your hotbar, just hit escape and put it away.

And that’s it. That item you cancel placed will stay in that new spot until you reload your plot (so either go to Kilima and back or switch to another plot and come back). Then it will go back to where it was, even if you have put something else there. It’s very useful for merging decor items. But once you can cancel place, you can then also do all kinds of other glitches.

Serenity Falls puts several gazebos in your reach. But blocks them off with invisible/non-climbable walls. So frustrating. Becaue there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to go there.

You can merge things more with cancel place than with the bowl, like completely overlap them. And you don’t need it to rotate your tent, but you will need it to sink the present so you don’t see it. It’s possible to rotate the tent on the present and then sink the present so it’s hidden underground. No one would ever know the present was there after that.

Oh I’m sorry! You are not being dumb—I had no idea English was not your first language! What do you have in the spot for number 1? It needs to be some other piece of decor, something that you could place, although you won’t actually place it. So for example, you if you have a builders pillar or a bowl or anything like that in the 1 spot…. You go to move the table and when the table is green in some other area, you hit 1. It will put the table down but now you will be holding the pillar or bowl or whatever you had in the number 1 spot. You don’t need to do anything with it, but that item is what tricks the game into dropping the table in that new spot without actually putting it there officially.

Here's how to do it:

1. Stack pavers (I used 3 for mine, but you'll have to adapt depending on your bench)
2. Take the top one and put it down on the ground next to the others
3. Pick it back up and cancel its placement on top of the paver stack
4. Take your bench and use a pillar to multiselect the bench from the pillar
5. Put it on top of the pavers
6. Move it to the ground and the glitch will be done
7. Merge the bench and log with cancel placement (or you can put a pillar on the log and multiselect to try to merge the log into the bench)

Floating is just a matter of putting your anchor low then cancelling it higher to put the item you wanna float

I know the sinking glitch but when I move the table (that is sunk ) you could still see grass beside the log. I don’t mean the depth I mean beside the table would be huge gaps. Sorry I don’t mean to be difficult. Your lots look amazing. I wish I could do it as beautiful as y’all do.

If it's the gap, just put a pillar on top of the table and multiselect, you'll be able to merge easier

I DO remember using a barrel as a guide when it came to the height of the shelf, if you dont want the grass visible like in the picture i sent, just try to move a tiny bit lower

tysm for the help! I use the sinking machine method that tiny dragon studios made and i don't get visible grass showing through But it's the placement of the tables themselves. I try to place the tables beside each other but there are gaps in between and i can't get the yardwork terrace to come flush with the tables. So I tried the mossy elderwood rug in blue but they won't overlap each other either lol One day I might try again You're all very kind to help me

i terraces were a little hard for me to place as well, what i did was basicly cancel them away, then place the tables, switch plots and come back to the plot. when everything went smoothly the tables were in the terraces, maybe this trick will help you a little

The same thing i did with the tables when i saw gaps and the tables showed me "something is in the way". I group selected the sourrounding tables, canceled them out, placed the table where the gap originaly was and then i changed plots and went back

it takes practice, but the final result will be worth it

I have decided... I am removing the Bellflower bookshelves from my stairwell library and I'm going to try to make floor to ceiling shelves, to make it match the more... witchy vibe I have going

You need to put a hallway where you want it, put down your oven in the doorway (but as close as possible to the main room), take off the hallway (your oven should be a bit in your wall), pick your oven and cancel it out of the way to put your fireplace

Or you could use obstacle flick to put your oven half in the wall to not use the hallway

You have to glitch it so that the outside is facing the wall, you can do so by placing it on a wall or pillar and using cancel placement to move the wall/pillar before placing the curtain

Way to still do floating stairs:

Place a builders floor on a builders pillar off the ground but low enough you can walk onto it without jumping

Place your first paver right in front of the builders floor

Cancel place the paver onto the edge of the builders floor

Add another paver on top

Select the bottom paver and place it on the ground

To add more after that is just the same

Line the top step up in front of the builders floor

Raise the builders floor above that paver so you can still walk onto it from the top paver

Cancel place the top step onto the builders floor,

Add a paver,

Select the very bottom step and officially place it.

Repeat to your desired height

I think they’re right. It’s a dark red chic table (dark red between the crates) and that is a flotsam portal on the front. Those are from Bahari Bay as a loot item DIY recipe.

That looks too light to be either autumn or classic…. It might be alabaster which i think is kind of gray. Although it could be autumn if the color is just off in the picture. The table top in autumn is orange, the top in Classic is dark red.

For the harvest houses you can have 15–one house and 14 rooms connected. Hallways and fireplaces and stuff don’t count.

For alchemist cottages it’s 10 rooms connected. None of the other stuff attaches to them.

Yes. You can’t connect houses to each other, though, so it’s either harvest house or grand harvest house to start with the rooms attached.

Yes, normally you place the table on top of the crate, this means the foot of the table is visible, if you sink it just so that part is inside the crate you leave the top of the table visible still

I use a rig like this to do it, just a pillar and builders floor, then your anchor

The table is hidden inside the crates, so you can actually skip the floating. You can just lift it up on a couple of pavers until you get it the height you want it. Or on a butcher block cutting board. You might have to put a bowl on the table and group select with the bowl to put it on top of the pavers, but it will all be hidden inside the crates, so you can just go the easy route without much glitching!

It uses more items towards your limit, but if you're having trouble sinking/floating, it takes that element out of the whole thing.

That’s the bowl part. When you group select with the bowl on the table, it should let you put the table on top of the pavers.

the problem probably is in the depth and how far the tree is then from anchor above it, this is very short for trees (it was 6 squares or i remembering wrong?) - u can try with chaining anchors (sink anchor with anchor until u are happy with it)

There's another method since the bowl got a bit broken by the devs, you'll need 2 pillars to make it work Lemme take pics to get the idea

Here's the method I learned from ATinyDragon (Stairs bowl trick)

1. Take the pillar and put it on your plank
2. Group-select from the pillar and put it down on the bowl
3. Put a second pillar before the first one and group-select from it
4. Put it on the lower paver of your stairs
5. Take off the pillars and repeat

I know about the bug/issue with placing chests/crafters on the wooden blocks/floors —

My question is — is there ANY furniture that I could place the chests on , that wouldn’t get yeeted away. Just trying to find a work around - so my freaking attic isn’t useless now hahaha.

The problem isn't the builders blocks/floors in itself, it's just functional items that don't like to be floated without having a sort of anchor to the ground

A little tips, you could put pillars in the 4 corners outside your room, so you'll have a better idea of where to put the trees when moving the room

at first i tried getting it in the right place by making another circle with other benches on the ground when i moved the house but i think maybe i didnt get it in the right place then bcs it was veeery off. Its like, the tree is always going to far into the bench or it too far away from the bench

u can mark it with canceled items, put something outside, then cancel place inside marking spots where u want the trees to be, after that if u move the house those will stay floating

You need to have your items touching to use group select, for example one of the most used method is the bowl (preferably a pillar imo). You put it on your item and while aiming at the bowl, you use the group-select option, it'll pick both the bowl and the item

Ahh good 🙂 so floating/sinking is just cancel placing an anchor in the direction and distance you want to send something, and thenn placing your plush on top of it.
So for floating I use a rig like this, just pillars and builders floors to ensure it goes straight up and down

So, make the rig

Place your anchor on the builders floor (like a paver or plate works)

Cancel place the builders floor up the distance you want the plush on the air

Place the plush on the anchor

Grab the anchor and place it

The plush should pop up into the air

Yes, so you'll need to use a rig like this if you want to add a tilt
Same thing but with a few extra steps

Place your paver on the builders floor

Tilt the builders floor from the shelf however much you want your plush to tilt and officially place it

Next cancel place the shelf up however high you want it

Now place your plush on a paver, and cancel place it away so you can also place a builders pillar

Alt select the builders pillar and add it to the anchor on the builders floor

Grab the bottom anchor and place

(You can hide the anchor under the plush by floating it some into the plush when youre on that step)

Back again my most helpful frens ❤️ Is there a way to glitch two builders floor pieces together? I keep having it where one is slightly above the other, but I want to connect them BUT not have them connect edge to edge since I'm fitting them in a particular space. Does that make sense?

You can merge them a bit either directly on the floor, or you can use cancellation to do it too

You put your first floor down, pick it up and move it a bit to the left and cancel its placement. Then you take your other floor and link it to its right, when you'll move the first one it should merge

It took me a really long time to figure out how to both float and rotate at the same time. I still have to really think hard about it. It's just spatial orientation that can be really confusing, so you're not dumb!

So here's the idea:

1. Put your anchor (here the paver) on your shelf and rotate it to the angle you'd like
2. Move your shelf higher and cancel its placement
3. Put the plush down on it (I rotated the plush as well for more effects)
4. Move the paver away to activate the glitch

The higher you cancel your shelf, the higher your plush will float (or the farther it'll go from the anchor Since there's rotation involved )

I will add to this, since it's how I imagine it when I'm doing it. Wherever I'm placing the plushie in step three is where it will be in relation to the paver. So it will be the same distance and angle from the original position of the paver. So I look at my paver and imagine where I want the plushie (or whatever I'm floating), and I move the paver to that spot to cancel place it. Hopefully that doesn't confuse you more, @errant forum , but it helps me visualize what I'm doing.

if you need to float things at the same height multiple times, i recommend to use markers.

like if your anchor is a plate, put a plate of reference down on the shelf and floor so you can just put the real anchor on those
