You may need to remove items from the ground floor room, especially anything on the ceiling/walls, and stairs if there are any. Basically, when you are shifting alchemist rooms around, it’s best for them to be 100% empty, stripped of all decor, and with nothing too close to them outside. Not required, but can be helpful if they are acting problematic.

I have a system for growing every crop with no watering except my apple tree. So I always have every crop on hand…. I put them in the preserves jar when I have 50+, so I always have at least 20 of each, and usually more. I realize lots of people do not, though.

From the video, I only saw crops we already have so...

Mine is all separated, because I wanted paths between each soil piece. So I grow a lot of tomatoes, because I can plant those less often. But basically four plots have a potato in the middle and a tomato on each side of that. This is the configuration so you don’t have to water. The four corner spots can be anything. My other four plots have a Napa cabbage on one corner, a tomato just adjacent to that, and then I can fit one of the four-square crops on the opposite corner from the cabbage. Anything else can go in the other two corners. Then my ninth plot is an apple tree which I have to water every day. (If they were touching I would not have to water it though.)

Here’s the deal. Call me crazy but did you know you can eat dandelions when they’re yellow. It’d be so cool to have the WILD cotton balls modified enough they’re forgeable. Yellow dandelions are edible. The root is always edible.

I just saw that there is a plush jar inquiry/poll on the news channel and I'm mixed. Because if we get decorative produce, even if its a little further along, why could we not just use the exsisting product instead vs. a plush jar? Plush jars doesn't make sense and it takes up additional storage space. Where-as, if we made it, it still is a dual-role in INV vs. one apple preserve + one apple preserve plushie.

(I recommend turning your mouse and camera sensitivity down all the way they'll be next to eachother in settings)

Once you get an alchemist house on a present the sky is the limit, place it under where you want your house to be by grabbing it from the red present.(you can sink or float this depending on the height you want)
Add a second story in h mode then
Move the bottom story from the red present in regular build mode
The second story should remain free floating
You can add a second room very closely the same way, carefully aligning the red present house.
There may be a gap but this is easily hidden by adding alchemist trees to the connection points, and medium terraforms while both roofs are flat

I hope this is helpful but il try to be online if you have questions

This allows you to create things like interior doors and up to 29 rooms freely connected without the red present being bound

otherwise you have yardwork terraces. you can buy those at kenli's register, in the town hall. its upstairs on his desk. those exist in small, medium and large. large is quite a big area, and those are great for landscaping if you want to keep things natural

other items from the builder set will help you make a platform. on top of floors there's walls, pillars, small and big crates

I start with the paver on the shelf. I select it, move it to the ground, but don't place it. I select the keybind I want, then cancel. Then I try to place the item I want on the paver. Then when I try to select the paver, it's bind to the wall/shelf and not the item 🙁

So maybe scatter your trees and put little areas of flowers and a path so that it looks cozy but doesn't feel too cramped. Using yardwork terraces can give you some more interesting terrain--you can stack them so you get sort of low hills to make it more interesting. You could put little seating areas scattered around, too.

You could do one more house at the back of your plot, with rooms extending on the left and right, then make like a town center type thing in the middle of your plot with a fountain and pavers and or builder's stone floor

You can make a cave with terraces! No red present needed. Terraces will move more places if you put a builders piece (like a pillar) on top and group select with that (you can remove the pillar later). Then you can put them on top of builders things and angle them, too. (I’m sure you can also float them but I’m not the person to ask about that. I just haven’t tried it.) There are videos out there on how to tilt/angle terrace pieces.

I didn't take this picture for this purpose, but you can see what I did with some of my terraces in it. I have some up on pillars and others angled. You can do a lot with them! (The houses are floating, so that's why that might look weird.)

Silk cones from specific bugs with rare or epic tiers. I think expect the blue firefly? Crabs too. The fairy mantis has given me clear up to 15 silk but it’s still RNG. crab wise VAMPIRE CRAB at 12AM-3AM at flooded fortress is where you get them.

You can do one pillar at a time I think by putting a INDUSTRIAL shelf (best for space), then a pillar on it, and then select the shelf rotating it 90 degrees to attach the second pillar. Can be on builder wall or house wall to do this.

Yeah there's a ton of videos! You can also use the search function here in discord and find videos people post as well

Look for youtube videos on cancel placement or cancellation. Then come here and ask if you are confused. This glitch is probably the easiest and one of the most useful, because you use it to float and sink things, too. Basically it allows you to move something out of the way temporarily, but the game doesn't actually register it as moved. So when you reload your plot, it goes back to where it was, which allows you to merge things.

Flicking is way more confusing, so save that one for later. 🙂

You want to look for how to sink things. Do you know how to cancel place? You'll need an anchor (can be a paver or a plate or a builders floor, but you will have to hide it later). You cancel place the anchor lower using a shelf, then place your item on the anchor and then pick up the anchor and place it. When you place the anchor onto the ground, the item you placed on top of it will sink.

I don't know if the food bin/trough is a ground only item, though. That can make it trickier.

Yeah, I have terraces elevated in order to get to my floated houses, but that space outside my house on elevated terraces is unusable for building because I keep grabbing the terraces out from under me. So I spend all day jumping down to ground level to do stuff, then carrying it back up.

I think the corners of the roof are what’s in the way. See how they overlap? Is that a harvest house to the front? Maybe that’s why? I honestly can’t remember if I ever tried exactly this.

Those are "in the way". Maybe the room need be turn around and attach with the side, not with the front.
Otherwise you need a smaller room or the floor.

Try another view to the plant to take it.

Some items are got tricky to pick up and only got reachable when you look at the item from above or front view.
Move the camera in all ways until you get the point to reach it.

And it may help to put the flower pot on an empty place outside.

If it all not help, maybe place it in an empty small room, then pick up the room and you get ask, the decor will add into your storage - press yes.
But i'm not sure if its work with this - it's worth a try.

Put a shelf on a wall other than the front wall of your house. Put your pot on the shelf. Move the shelf (with the pot on it) to the front wall of your house (either harvest house or alchemist cottage). The shelf will explode everything out so you can grab the plant out of the air.

Do you know how to cancel place items? Start by finding videos on cancel placement. Then you can learn how to float items! It's really not that hard, and you will be able to do so many things!

I haven't had any luck with that lately, I've settled for sinking them beneath it and putting pavers down.

It's actually rlly easy to do, and all u need to do is use multi-select. Place ur floors down without connecting them in the shape you want (this is to avoid grass poking thru), and add an extra piece right behind them, unconnected to the floor you made. Cancel place all of the floor pieces on to that one, then multi-select by the bottom floor piece. Go over behind your bin and line up your floor on the edge of the grid and place. they will all snap into position under the bin. Pick up the extra floor piece.
