Depending which bridge type u cant place them on some spots on the broken ones tho but in general yes u can place things on the builder bridges.

Lyra was talk about the "cancel place method" and i was talk about "flick method". Both ways are used to merge items.
Tutorials are easy found in google search. Just add "Palia" infront of those methods when searching.

But first try MeiWoys suggestion. Put the lights first, then try add the pavers.

If its worked, you dont need any methods.

i managed to do it, not sure what i was doing wrong and what i did right but the complaining worked

I was flick the campfire with "log cabin large torch", since it has smaller dot for placing than the pillars.
So i dont have any problems when use flicking with the torch.

You might be able to replace the pavers using the bowl/pillar to merge. That is barely a glitch. You just put a gourmet bowl or a pillar on top of your paver, alt select from the bowl/paver, and then put the paver where you want it. The bowl/pillar allows you to slide things closer together/on top of each other to merge them.

Or you could place some of the greenhome planters with flowers in them along the path. Another option is to switch to pavers instead of the stone floors for the path, but that eats up much more of your item limit.

If I remember correctly, I made each pillar individually (because I had to merge them vertically). Then I figured out where to place them on the floor... I think I placed every other one, then canceled those out of the way, then placed the others that would go inbetween and overlapping the first ones I placed. (So I placed pillars 1, 3, and 5, canceled those, and then placed pillars 2, 4, and 6. I think. It was a while ago. 😬 )

Oh! I put a pillar on a shelf, canceled the shelf downward, then put another pillar on top of the one canceled. When you pick up the bottom pillar to place it, they merge together (or if you move the shelf again and place it). Easiest is to put several pillars on the shelf at the same time, so you can make them match easily. (I did not do it this way, which was not smart. I had to redo them several times to get them to match. 🤣 ) Then if you want a third pillar, do the same thing with the merged stacks of two pillars.

basically it's just an upside down hedge lol

step 1. you need a wall and a shelf
step 2. place a floor on the shelf (make sure it's actually attached, so when you pick up the shelf it picks up the floor)
step 3. rotate the shelf (with the floor attached) upside down
step 4. grab the floor, and cancel place it on the ground
step 5. place the hedge on the floor
step 6. pick up the floor, place it back down, and viola ! the hedge will be upside down and floating :3

how high it floats depends on the height from the floor to the shelf, so you'll want to play around with the height depending on what you're trying to place it on ^^

If you temporarily remove the flooring in your room you might be able to see it when you go into build mode. The outline will light up yellow when you point your mouse in the right area. Or it might magically appear somewhere else? My house is floating, so I got lucky. 😆

Builders blocks tall,
An industrial wall shelf on their wall
A builders wall attacked to only the shelf
And builders floors attached only to the builders wall

Cancel placement the shelf in the direction and distance you want something floated or sunk
And then add the item

For ponds,
I build the shape I want with builders floors, and attach my tables on top so it all alt selects together to sink at one time

I cancel place the shelf 3-4 small squares down on the grid for sinking capital chic dining tables

I hope this makes sense!!

I saw your post this morning and then remembered it when I was flipping ramps upside down. I don't think anyone ever answered you? You can flip them, but you have to have them anchored to something else. Actually what you are doing is flipping the something else upside down and then attaching the ramp. So put something like a builders block or a builders wall on a shelf. Then turn the shelf upside down. Put your ramp on the builders block/wall. Then when you pick up the block/wall, it will turn itself back over and your ramp will now be upside down.

if you can do that, then place the planter where you need it and reload plot

There many reasons, i DON'T use the cottage. I planned only use 4 rooms for a kitchen and try to place them near as i can to the harvest house. Thats all. They are still too buggy for me.

You can cancel place. The only glitch you can’t do is obstacle flick. Look for videos for cancel placement on switch and you can see how to do it on any console.

Yep, you cancel place the bathtub off the wall u stuck it on, then nudge the wall up to the back of the crates, so that it sticks out on the other side like the pic

everyone’s been talking about new glitch techniques with the webs, but i’ve yet to look into it how exactly does it work?

You can just put the spiral web on any decor item with a surface, alt select the web, and it places on the wall!!

The cobweb will go on almost anything. So you can put it on something like a table, and then alt select with the web, and now you can place the table on the wall.

You could also just sink it into the crates while they are sideways, then turn them upright with multi-select, or angling a crate so that when u pick it up the wall is upright, a few different options

You can put the items even on the walls or on places, where they not normally get placed there, and remove the cobweb after, and that item/decor is keeping there. Like a bridge floor on a wall.

You can do cancel placement on console, requires some button rebind and is cumbersome but doable

It's like a squares tiled floor when placed properly on the floor. But basically I make sure I have the floor in say spot 1, and I place a wall item (doesn't matter what but recommend something larger) I then grab and drag placed wall item towards the edge of the wall until it says something I nthe way, then hit the hot key that matches where the flooring is. The flooring being on the wall instead of the floor gets stretched out into that cool black wood looking stuff

I don't think the trellis has a surface, right?
You can either use (and hide) a pillar (or wall or similar) or even a paver
To float off a pillar you just need to cancel place the pillar at a distance before placing the shelf on it
To float off a paver you cancel place the paver like you will float normally, then place the shelf on a house wall first, place something like a cup to group select and be able to move it to the paver, if group selecting from the item doesn't allow to place on the paver just put it on the ground, and place a crate or pillar so it allows you

Hello all, I have a question about the landscapes. i love plush park and am tempted to buy it as its on sale..... but if I do, am I able to decorate the empty tents pagoda´s? or are they doomed to stay empty? and if I buy a landscape like the halloween grove one, and I have tree's in my garden (like birches, do they also change colour or will they stand out in normal colour?

okay so my best advice to you is to search Youtube for tutorials on how to do it. This let you watch a video and then go ingame, set up the stuff you need for it then rewatch, pause and rewind as needed until you get it right

thats how I do it when i need to learn new stuff and it works for me

cause it let you learn at your own pace without having someone there

also i would try to learn floating first as at least for me that was the easiest one to do

Guess it depends on the things you need for your plot or the theme. The Cozy Camp pack has pillows, beds, the canopy, hedges, a tree, and the heat lamp (12 recipes total, I think). The umbraan set has a large bridge and large sidewalk (but it's only curved, no straight-forward pieces like the builder's bridges), various clay pots, the shed, an archway, and some light posts.

The umbraan set has fences, too.

And sacks (like big flour sacks)

Panda buns look at my suggestion up higher with the wood pillar. Just a few comments up. Use web on a pillar and ALT the web to grab both. The pillar will rotate sideways. Put it on your left wall and see if the curtain you picked will use it. I did this with a metal one for my bathroom.

Put it as close as possible next to the wall, pick it up and cancel its placement away. Pick a new pillar and put it in front of your build, multiselect from that pillar. Move it forward a few steps and put it down

Hey Seth, has anyone thought of spring/poles curtain rods to expand on certain widths window wise? That'd be a super easy logic to apply for walls within X-inches of each other. (Video is still loading.)

Instructions (Forgive my button-struggles.)

1. Build x2 Poles UP. Stacked.

2/ Put a wood pole down, and attatch a cobweb. Spooky Store at Zeki's, left of his store's door, for 1K coin.

3. Focus on the cobweb, and ALT to pick up all (not sure key binding on controllers.) You SHOULD see the cobweb glow before you ALT to know this is right.

4. Doing the cobweb approach eliminated the "Classic Setup" of a wall, shelf, pole, to do what you do now: Attatch to the top of the x2 vertical poles.

5. Attatch the pole, remove the cobweb, and then position the pole so it's horizontally aligned with the grid/your bay window.

6. You'll put that pole setup CLOSE AS YOU CAN to the bay window. PLACE with your select/place button.

7. You will Pick Up the poles, and cancel-place it with a PLACEABLE INV item by hitting thr assigned key.I used the PRISM FISH for exaggeration. Do not left-click/select/place: HIT the assigned INV key (I.e., "8.") This Cancel-Places the poles out of the window area.

8. The game thinks the poles are by the window.

9. Put A FOURTH pillar down, but do not connect it to your poles. I rotated my fourth pole for exageration.

10. You will ALT the forth pole, and all poles should be glowing. This is expected to do the trick.

11. From where the poles are placed, you'll push it back in a straight line ~5 blocks or so.

12. LEFT-Click/Place/Select the collection of poles once you pushed it back so far. This "snaps" the game up to the throw the poles from the collission point, into the wall.

13. Repeat STEPS 6 - 12 until you're content, fluctuating how many grid squares you need to bury the poles completely into the wall.

.. I quit I did not realize how burnt out I was from yesterday. THIS is the actual video. ;-;

@tepid solstice @heady spoke @feral cape I could put this pillar down against the wall once I sunk something into it. This violated the boundary for placing an item so close to the windowsill. Not shown is the pole in t he wall. I think that pole CANCELLED the placement boundaries of this baywindow.

@safe ivy you can grid/freely place the poles and play by ear. IF the pole is too far in, the curtain touching the surface of the window won't let you place it. So wood poles may be best for you entirely.

It’s the elderwood end table recoloured. You can either buy it in furniture store one time when it’s on rotation, or the recipe is in Elderwood near the
Fallen Aqueduct.
The gems are the same gems you gain by mining but starred versions… the end table has slots for you to place the items on. Hope that helps ☺️

Yes, that landscape and some others have really nice looking oob areas that is a pity we cannot take advantage without glitching. You can look for out of bounds building here or yt, just be warned you need to aquire all your plot first (by buying writs with renown)

Btw, for those who wanted to put curtains on bay windows, using sinking/floating with the 1 cup method on a pillar, turning it sideways with a shelf and hiding it in the wall is the suggestion I would make -

Don't just hang it out of bounds, float it off the surface it is sitting on so there is nothing below it, that helps a lot. Or dangle the plate off the edge and point ur mouse to the spot on the plate that isn't touching the surface it is sitting on

You need to move the knives before stacking pavers.

So don't place them offside, cancel-place each one off the side.

So get a placeable item (your paver is OK) like a plushie... then pick up the knife, move it out of the way, and hit your key assigned to the new item you want to "place" instead of left clicking.

You'll briefly see your item in your hand and the knife is down, just ESC/back out of the item in your hand and repeat to all knived. Then you can place the paver like you want.

I have an idea as a "segue."

The Cottage is known for fitting quite flush against the Rancher houses.

What if you made a "wrap around" with a cottage or a pavillon to mimic a courtyard attachment? Then the steps can be buried under the floor? You can edit/use Alchemist doors on the sides without the front door indicator to leave the walls up. And as long as the houses are central, the door-wall on the Cottage sides should align with the Rancher house entries?

Hang a paver over the edge of ur plot out of bounds and use a pillar to flick the light on the paver for floating. You can use pushing to sink the paver, or offset it under one of the feet and hide the floating feet with the yardwork wooden pillars

Or whatever item u prefer

You could even use ur lily pots

You are just using multi-select and cancel placement to push things around. It's used for sinking/floating using the 1 cup method, or anchorless floating. All u do is put a pillar on the paver after u have placed it where u want it, multi-select by that pillar and cancel place the piece onto another builder's piece you have on ur HH floor - say a crate. Multi-select that crate so everything turns green and then you can move the piece, and however many squares u move, it moves from it's original position on the ground.

In your case you would do this, but use the wall to sink it - Make sure that the crate you place on the wall has been placed there, picked up, then placed again so it doesn't rotate on you when using it

Yep, that way the grid doesn't interfere and mess up the flick

It's harder to flick on grid now that collision checks were done

At least when you are attaching items to other items, or flicking on stacked items

Yep, just like that. Now all u need to do is float it up a tiny bit. I would say by 3 small squares if you want to use the lily planters.

So before flicking the lights, cancel place the shelf 3 ticks up from it's original position, since I saw it was on a pillar

Yep, that way when u pick up and place the shelf, it will float the lights 3 small squares above the paver it's anchored to

So when u use the pushing on the wall u will go down 1 small square and place, and they will sit at 3 small squares high from the floor

Cancel place lights off of paver, far enough away so that you can place the paver inside the doorway where the lights used to sit. From there put the pillar on the paver. Put a crate on your wall closest to the spot. Pick it up and place it again on the wall. Multi-select your paver pillar and cancel place it onto the crate on the wall. Multi-select the crate, and it should multi-select everything. Move it down 1 small square from original position and place. Lights will snap back to the spot they were but the paver will be sunk into the floor

K, pretend the window is ur doorway, place the paver where u need the lights to go like so, then place a pillar on top.

Place a crate on ur wall, then pick up and place again so it doesn't rotate on u when u go to do the glitch

Multi-select by the pillar on the paver and cancel place onto the front of the crate like so

From here cancel place ur lights outside bc they will get in the way, leaving the paver and pillar there. Move only the lights with cancel placement

Multi-select the crate on the wall, and movew 1 small square down and place

Your paver is now sunk, and it is anchored to your wall. If u ever plan to change that wall at all, switch the anchor to ur floor. ONe sec and I'll show u how

Take the crate on ur wall and put it on the floor of ur HH. Multi-select the paver pillar and cancel place on the crate. Pick up the crate with multi-select and place it back down in the same exact spot. Anchor switched.

You aren't putting a pillar on the floor upside down, you are just pointing the pillar at the top of the end table. The bottom of the pillar will sit flush with the top surface, allowing u to flick

You should just be holding the pillar and pointing it at the surface of the table top

hold in left mouse and hit the number key to flick

I can't think of why it would do that other than it jumped bc the mouse moved slightly
