If you don't mind having it over the terrain, you can place the terrace oriented how you like it, place a builders crate/floor near the edge, place another builder crate/pillar on ground close enough to the one on the terrace, this allows you to group select from the crate on the ground to move everything together, place more crates or floors next to each other (without them connecting, don't point to the previous one when placing) on the ground to add distance as far as you want your terrace OOB, finally group select from the last one and go place at the edge of your plot, everything should moved and placed together, you can remove everything but the terrace afterwards
You can place the trees on the terrace normally

Ah, then you need a little more coordination, instead of just pressing H + Y, you'll need to hold left shoulder and press Y (on Switch) this is the way you open the edit on the emote wheel
After that, quickly press the left joystick, that opens the H menu.
Some people find easier to remap the H menu to something else temporarily

That's why I said if you must, because is a bit complicated to time it right

Try using a pillar instead of the floor to group select, that may give you a smaller footprint since it may be the other structure there that is causing the collision

if you want some easy money look for cake parties on the palia party website. go collect about 100 sweetleaf and sign up for the sweet leaf role. i did a couple before the update and made like 250k. or if you dont want to do parties get the highest pick axe and mine gold and plat and smelt them down

hi friends, any builders who have an idea of how to fix this? i was merging and i had the shelf a little too high and now i cant pick it up because it's under the map. i did encounter this before, where i fixed it by placing it on a second floor and picking up the item from the bottom, however i cannot do this because the bowl i used for merging is still attached so its not letting me place. any help would be so appreciated thank you!

yes they do count to ur decor limit and yes u can still do that but i would recommend yardwork terraces bc the out of bounds floor has to look through the surface a bit to be able to place smth on it afterwards. Or you prepare it all before and sink the complete decorated floor

I rotated the shelf and pillar to be upside down. When I attach the flower ceiling to it I can’t get the pillar and ceiling to stay together it just wants to take off the pillar or when I group select it wants to take the whole structure (the walls, shelf, pillar, and flower ceiling) and will not flip or rotate

You shouldn't have to group select. The floor should be attached to the pillar, and when u pick up the pillar, the floor gets picked up too.

Are u sure u didn't accidentally attach it to the wall, or maybe so low down on the pillar it didn't actually connect?

Although you may try to rotate the pillar in the shelf before turning it upside down, I've seen there's 1 side of wooden pillars that behaves differently sometimes, not saying it is that but maybe

If you need just to move it, you can group select from the paver on it, that allows to move the original anchor

If the paver is on the floor, you can't move only the floor. Anything you place on a floor becomes attached to the floor (it's basically the anchor for that paver). You have to pick up the paver in order to pick up the floor.

If the floor is sunken then it is attached to something, that is the anchor of the floor, so if you move the anchor the floor will follow and you can get it under the shipping bin. If the paver is on the floor it will also move with it

You are flicking the tree onto the crate, after having turned it upside down and placing it, then turning it back over and moving it further down with the shelf to elevate it. They just leave and come back to make sure the tree stays/get it to snap back where it was bc if u cancel place the tree off the crate, simply moving it does not get the tree to snap back

If you put a block on top of a large terraform you can alt select a block and attach it to the top of builders pillars! I stacked mine 4-5 high, and you can place on top of them to fill in space

I guess so. I am not that great at decorating. That plot is amazing and there’s no way I could make something like that. But I like a lot of the decorations and can probably figure out how to make a small mine cart track. Maybe.
