Hey Palians! I was hoping you could help me with some glitch-related trouble. I just learned how to use a tent to get over the decor limit. I pulled it off successfully the first time. However, the second time, I was transferring a couple builder's floors and made the mistake of placing a plushie on top of one. Everything transferred over, except for the plushie, which has gone completely missing.

I checked on all my plots, my storage, went in and out of Kilima, logged off and on. Ran around in build mode looking at the ground in case it somehow ended up under the map. Put the builder's floors in my inventory to make sure the plushie wasn't still attached somehow. At this point, I'm out of ideas.

If anyone could help, I would be immensely grateful!

Such things tend to warp basically to entrance on one of the plots

I suggest using the door and not the porch if you are doing an extended porch and covering that existing one with builders ones anyway.

Additionally, you can place the builder's stuff where it needs to be without the house, then cancel place it away from the back of the house, move the room and its door in place, then reload plot and the builders stuff will warp back to the prior position as your porch

They do have to be starred, but i usually pick tomatoes or rice depending on which recipe. I think for poke bowls there are free roles as well

If none has said it, when you stack items and port them, you need to take the ported anchor, then go out and back again for the next "level" of the stack to appear.
So yes, taking the builders floor back and going out and back is how you got your plushie back

You put it on an empty house wall, place a bowl or something on top, alt select the bowl and it can be placed as a ground item! If you need a second stair, attach a plate stack to the center back and you can attach the second one to it

The terraces have weirdly large footprints, bigger than they actually are, especially if you have turned them on an angle different from the original north/south or east/west axis. I can place terraces right at the edge of my plot if they are "straight" but as soon as I turn them, it says I'm trying to place out of bounds.

I think you have to buy three. You start with two, so you have to get up to five before you meet the requirements. It's ultimately like 250,000 to get the gazebo (the reason I don't have one yet).

What about just the roof trim? It will clip through your pillars, and it’s hard to know how it will look without trying it, but it might look good.

You can sink the pillars a little bit on each other, not too fancy a glitch but obnoxious I know. At least you can do them all at the same time, that way they'll be consistent and you only sink once (twice if you do top-middle & middle-bottom)

Depends mostly on what you're placing. The red present is convenient because anything can be place on it and is small enough to hide, but now there are other things that can be used in its place for most items (like terraces) tho not as easily hidden
And there's a small list of things that refuse to be placed on anything but a red present

You don't need stairs. That will only open up a part of the floor. All u need to do is put a house piece on top of that one, then u can get the empty floor symbol

If u take it back off tho, it closes back up. It has to be a 2 story to open the ceiling

This happens bc the game gets confused when it spawns in the house with it's lamp (after building the room). The lamp does not connect properly, and so it ends up in the lamp zone when u leave and come back

I thought u were just trying to get rid of the top floor? If u want access to it then, yes, you would want stairs. If you are removing it tho, there's no access bc there's no floor....

This is not possible. Sorry. You can get rid of the roof, but you can't get rid of the ceiling. Even if you stack another house on top, you will still have a ceiling under the roof on the top room.

Depending on your look that you’re going for:
industrial shelves?

You place the shelf on the wall, place a gourmet bowl and then group select. Move the object to the floor, repeat and then begin stacking them. I also use this for table risers to display food items or to give a little lift to my small fish tanks, etc

You can search by recipe type and find them like a week in advance on the party app! That's how Ive been able to get into so many poke bowls lately

Put an industrial shelf on a wall. Put a gourmet bowl on the shelf. Then group select (it's alt on PC) using the bowl. Now you can place the shelf on any surface (but you can't place it back on the wall if you select by the bowl). Place that shelf down where you want your first step, then repeat with another shelf. You stack them backwards, so that the bracket part is towards you, and then you can stack one on top of the next but offset to get stairs.

This method isn't about pattern, it's a bout quantity and fast turn over, so very easy to do. I make just under 1k an hr with 14 crafters going. The more crafters, the faster the cash flow. I also have 3 seeders going too tho, for replant. It also doesn't account for selling weeds, so take it to 1k an hr

Me and a friend did it by timing our placements right. Owner picks up the conservatory, and friend is holding the tree (not in the space of the building). We counted down together, if friend said it worked you reload plot

That's cancel placement. Ghosting was used for transferring detached room pieces to other plots, so that you had stand alone structures/pieces without the room/HH.

I wish the game didn't snap items with minute height differences to the same height. I'm offsetting the height of some cabinets since the z-fighting annoys me. But if I leave a gap smaller than in the picture, leave my plot and return, they'll end up at same height and z-fighting appears.

Ghosting to the extreme... started putting together what I had the money to set up to get ideas about how I am feeling and doing course corrections on what I'm doing and calculations for what need to come (cut out bay windows and doors mainly).

Honestly not super pleased with what I've got here. Moving the hallways to the outside corners of that small room has left it all feeling very simple geometrically/visually. Think Ima slide the Sm room over (right and down ish) so that hallway is on the inside corner and adding another hallway to the perpendicular hallway to compensate for its connection to the center piece. Also instead of a large room for the very "front" of the center (currently represented by the blue roofed HH) that's 70% sunk into the large room I have yet to also put there, I can do a Med or Sm room that's less sunk to help with the blocky feel overall.

I think the middle section sticking out a bit and then pulling in the "front" end like that will give it a much more interesting look/feel

Maybe do 3 instead of 2 on that hallway and pulling the perpendicular connection in so that the two hallways are still parallel across the diagonal... Don't think I like the concept of them being otherwise

I just made this suggestion:

"What if we did Natural Paint and Tints as a discovery from Tish?

Flour, Borax, Earth and Mineral Pigments, and Fine Sand (Optional for Adobe textures/Earth textures.)

For Borax, which is a natural element, we could use the White Stone from Elderwood as a substitute.

And if you want "earthy" walls, you add sand for Adobe texture.

SHEEN walls = Milk (Casein Paint) or weeds from EW (Hemp Oil Sealant.)

MICA powder (1 part mica for every 3 parts of sand.)

If you want glitter, we could crush gemstone in correspondence to the color pallet series that is introduced to our hair.

Paint can allow us to paint ceilings (we know people do wallpaper ceilings in real life...) floors, and walls.

To remove paint from a wall, we could use a Flow-powered heat-gun (ESSENCE as permitted by the Order in Subira's shop) recipe, to load essence into, and "wipe" the walls clean.

All resources that wind up stacked and neglected is tailored results.

So Tish could offer a new stand where you can mix your own paint if you bring your own ingredients, or the custom workstation can be upgraded to a 2.0 (purchase DIY from Tish) to recraft it into allowing actual paints."

This covers:

• Flat Paint.
• Earth/Adobe Textures.
• Glittery Walls (you can add glitter IRL at Lowes) which is more bold.
• Sheen Walls.
• MICA would give a delicate glitter texture that is finer.

K, so there are 2 options, depending on how much space u have. 1 is to sink a builder's piece into it, then use "pushing" with multi-select to get it into the wall. The second option is to attach another room to that wall, open up the wall and place ur wardrobe far enough into the room to where it will sink in, but not far enough to where it is considered the other rooms floor. Then just remove the room.

i like to use a pillar. i put the item i want placed in my number one slot on my hot bar i place the pillar and pick it up and without placing put it where i want my item to be and stand in the way of the pillar till it says something in the way then at the same time i left click and hit the number 1 for my item

But when you do that, anything that is on that wall will go into storage and you'll have to place it again after you change it back to a solid wall or wall with door opening.

Do you know how to cancel place? You can place a floor, cancel it over as far as you want to overlap, then snap a second floor on the side opposite the direction you moved the first floor. When you grab and replace the first floor, the two will merge together.

Easiest to look up YT videos on cancel placement--it is sooooo helpful in all your building. It is possible on console, too, if you're not on PC--just look for videos for cancel placement on switch. But basically (at least on PC), you place something down, then pick it up to move it, but don't place it. Instead you hit the number key of something placeable in your hotbar. It will look like you placed down your first item, but you've just temporarily moved it out of the way. Then when you reload your game it will go back to where it was. With the builders items, though, since they snap together, you don't actually have to reload, you just have to pick up the first floor or whatever that you canceled, and the pieces will merge together. (Clear as mud? 😬 )

Few things that help me get it faster:

Stand straight, aligned with the grid dont stand on an angle

Use something small as your placed item, like starred food

Press the hot key button once, while pressing your mouse 3 times (the first mouse click is at the same time as hot key, next two clicks rapidly) and cancel click out of that

That's your hotkey item, so once you have your already placed item down (something small that you dont want), and have pulled it into your body thats when you press the hotkey of the item you want

okay so:

1. turn frame rate down to 30
2. place temporary item
3. pick up temporary item, then move inside the placement zone so it says "something is in the way"
4. try to place the temporary item down so i get the error message
5. try to place the permanent item down, but when i hit the number key the pillar goes back, moves me out of the way, and i'm left holding the permanent item i want to glitch there in my hand

no you dont need to try to place the temporary item. place the temp item first pick it up and move it to where you want your perm item to be but dont let go of your mouse stand close to the temp item so it says something is in the way and hit your hot key

Floating and sinking confuse me hard, but I think you would need to float the top one to the proper height, and cancel place the bottom one away so you can fit the anchor of the floated one in place.

Im not sure if the alt select method can help with up/down in this way
