Okay, I finally succeeded in what I was doing. Anchoring off the wall would have been quicker, but my stupid plot was being really global with group select. (No, I don't want to group select the terrace that is on the other side of the plot!) So I just took apart my fireplace to use one of those blocks as the anchor. And this is how it's looking now! (Hopefully if you've seen The Hobbit or LotR, this kitchen is looking at least a little familiar.)

The table is just a ranch house table. The benches are four log cabin benches all together so they don't have that curved edge.

The rest is soooo much rotating and cancel placement.

its really depending on glitching lvl, rotational floating is more advanced and u need to know some other stuff first to combine them

if u know how to cancel place, then doing it with floating and sinking then try rotational after having those down

or it will be a tiring pain too

I am sooooo bad at rotational floating. But I did finally get my side tables to float on their side they way I wanted! I must have done it 87 times before I finally got one right.

I can tell u an easier way to do that wall if u intend to add more? Just anchor them all together, put them on a floor piece, then put it on a wall piece.

That's basically what I did for the side parts. Those are not floated, just placed on floor and then rotated vertical. But in order to get the side tables right in front of the sink, I had to float them. I just couldn't figure out how to do it any other way in that tiny space. Plus I had to fit the ranch house sink in there, too.

@flint escarp U just use another table for the height, cancel place the table next to it after placing it on top, then place one on top of that, but move it in by 1/2 square. Pick up and place the lower table, and u get a chain. U can then connect the chains together, put it on a floor piece, then attach to a wall piece

Rotation glitch and you can anchor the bridge to anything using a crate on top and multiselecting from that crate

Not really? After you plant a flower and let it full grown, you get only one seed from it, only one time. Then the fully grown flower is a decor.

So, I don't have the courtyard but have some small spaces with hallways attached where it didn't allow me place wallpaper (curiously the same wall on the other side where is open didn't allow me either) but there were a small window where they accepted the wallpaper, near the wooden part up top, you can try that as a workaround in the meantime

You are missing nothing. There really is no reason to buy the base room because the cottages are the only way to get the other stuff like ivy and chimneys and window decor. you dont need to use the bowl for any of it. place paver on shelf cancel place paver under the shelf, if the item you are cancelling placing with ends up being placed on the shelf just pick iit up. place table on paver and just pick up the paver underneath. you might have to put the paver a little away from the shelf to be able to place the table

Maybe you are just sinking too far? The paver is going to show somewhere, because it's placed on the ground, so if you don't sink your table as deep, then it will be under the surface of the table.

I did not sink it all the way to the surface of the grass, and it's off to the side, but it did not pop up on top of the table. (All those bowls and plates were already on the table, set aside for other uses, so I just used one of those to place the table on the paver.) So I'm confused what's happening for others...

The paver is the anchor, so it's going to rest on the surface of the grass. It will look like it's on top of the table if you sink the table far enough for the paver to show.

Even with out the bowl the paver still showed on top of the table so then I tried sinking with a builders floor and it showed to the side of the table and the table was at an ideal level for a pond. Try that : put a potato pod down, put the tree in tab 1, take the potato without placing it and put it under you (make sure you are where you want it) then left click and maintain it, then click one 1 and stop clicking the mouse.

Like pick up the potato pod to move it under you without mainting the click, but once you ready to flick, click left again, maintain, press 1, release everything

The issue is that that particular item works like crafters, etc. So you need to keep it anchored to the outside ground, If it is not, you can't plant and it will un-anchor and teleport to your lamp zone

So u need to flick it onto an item or use a red present, and float it to that height and keep the anchor on the grass

Anything between the anchor and the grass will cause it to do the same thing

No you can't as they're a different housing type however I did manage to get the alchemist cottages hard up against the verandah of the grand harvest house without glitching so that might be a solution for you. You could always try to enclose the harvest house verandah afterwards but you won't be able to get wall coverings

1. put the anchor on the shelf
2. turn shelf depending on the angle u want the item later on
3. cancel it in height and distance as u want (canceling: move item - DONT place - press any inv key u have a placeable item on)
4. put item u want to float on the anchor
5. move anchor and it will jump in the position u floated it

I did this by pivoting the walls from a pillar with group select: you place a pillar in a point easy to remember (like crossing big lines on grid), place a wall 10 grid squares or so (depends how smooth you want the edge) and take note, place something in between that allows the group select from the pillar, then group select from the pillar and rotate without moving, place a new wall where the previous one was, repeat the rotation. Voilà

hey! so i'm trying to follow your instructions, except... i don't understand what you mean "multiselect by the fence on the terrace, then attach to the fence on the ground" when there's no other fence until the 4th image, which is a totally different fence from the one in 1-3 and the fence in 1-3 doesn't appear at all in image 4. is there supposed to be some other fence placed on the ground unattached to the rig, and you didn't specify that? is that in 1-3 fence just gonna disappear? or something else?

The answer you're looking for is yes, you need a spare fence to place on the terrace so you can place the crate on another one on ground, it is a second one in pic 3, but covered by everything else

You have a terrace with a fence and a crate on it. On the ground u have another crate and the fence u want to move around. All ur doing is multi-selecting by the crate on the terrace so that u can attach it to the crate on the ground. This is what is going to attach to your fence. You attach it by multi-selecting by the fence on the terrace.

Just a word of caution, if you leave any station on blocks on the house floor they will be yeeted to the entrance once you go out and back, to avoid it they need a direct connection to ground through the blocks or be directly on the house floor
