drivers exist for your hardware to know how to communicate with all programs on your computer, while game progress is not saved on your computer but in the game's servers :'<

I have also noticed when flicking them they do not show up at ur entrance if u lose a piece

So maybe the fact that they were connected to it, etc. caused the whole thing to disappear...

Or removing the GHH and replacing it somehow confused the game and it went poof.

So I have these floating cottage pieces I am using for an elevated walkway that goes over the main entrance to the yard proper and started stylizing them for funsies the other night

Today looking at it I realized I could potentially use floating yardwork logs to further stylize it. might put them in the areas indicated w red lines

or maybe I could use a fully grown tree or two or other decor in the vertical spots? So many options

The horizontal space having a log or something would help break up the currently contiguous ivy pattern and create visuals for supporting structure, etc

You know what people would probably love for a variety of reasons? Pictures frames of various sizes that allow you to post pictures taken with the K interface. So you could hang pictures of your character with your friends' characters, scenes you like in the game, etc

Probably use the "Tech Prop > Other" category for the flooring/wallpaper/roofing denotions

Since those are relatively few and it feels weird to set up columns for such a small percentage of objects

(What's funny is apparently you can't place new wallpapers n such if you are at your decor limit, meaning they are technically objects but just don't contribute to the count)

I think it's not so much that wallpaper is an object but rather that you can't place anything out of your inventory if you are at limit. You can't flick things either, because that requires pulling from inventory.

Once you build the new houses, they are all "base rooms" underneath the decor, which you can remove. Then you can stack any base room on top of any other base room/house.

Not at the same time exactly, but you need to take the item a millisecond after (At least that's how I do it)

What do u try to flick tho? For some items flicking won’t work (or at least not in the usual way)

@normal bone YES, it is such a problem! I will have ideas in my head, then after I while, I get bored with it. Then, the decor limit has always hung over my head, and as we get more and more items, I have to switch out things or add on to existing things. 😂 It’s never ending, which keeps the decorating itch alive because there’s so many things you can do. I know you can glitch over the limit (idk how, and I was present when a few of the masterminds figured it out last year, but I don’t care to stress over it).

for the glow you could use: flow trees, the elderwood/umbraan - lamps/lights/chandelier (maybe if they're too cute or nature-y for you the idea would be to layer something in front or whatnot to just get the color from them)
fiery: emberborn brazier, emberborn standing lamp, spring fever fire pit, the various torches, camping lamp, candles. again if you dont want the items themselves but in this case the fire animation they give, you could for example rotate the brazier or standing lamp, or hide the majority of a torch
the essence wallpaper has an interesting animation and im sure in the right context it could look a bit demonic
there's probably a lot of things and im not sure i've answered in a way that fits what you are looking for

the bath tubs are interesting thats why we ended up using those lol, because the water alters whats behind it! but you could use a bellflower bathtub that's bigger, or hell even a plushie pool lol. i've used one for a custom fountain, once, and i hid the sides and put a copper floor at the bottom because i just wanted the water

I stuck a builder's block on the side of the house where the roof trim would be, then used the roof trim to flick the chimney in place. For you, you'll want to cancel your roof trim away first, and then I think you'll be able to have both the trim and the chimney. (Don't pay any attention to all that other mess down below... that's the wizard behind the curtain and it will be hidden once I'm done with the whole build.)

I think it depends on the planter, too. I like the bushier ones (like roses) in those wide window boxes, because otherwise it can look really sparse (like with tulips or something else narrow). The smaller planters are good for the other flowers. Also, if you put the big bushes in one, they all squish together into one huge bush...

If I want a tree on a terrace up there, do I need to float the terrace with an anchor on the ground? The tops of bowls and cups, etc. are more than likely perma broke bc of the fixes to collision that they did. Same with cutlery, it's broke too. We'll see tho. As far as curtains are concerned, they are actively working on a fix. Flicking seems to be effected differently for everyone, so not sure what the exact issue is.

Some have no problems with it, while others have to point their mouse a certain way/layer their anchor, and some can't do it at all

And u can still lay books flat with bowls if u spam click, but the placeable area is extremely small, and the book sinks into the surface u are placing the book on, and bounces just above the edge of the bowl

It was very upsetting to lose the gourmet set. A lot of ppl who play on consoles rely on it, as well as pc players. I have my fingers crossed they revert it, but I don't think that will happen

In improving collision we lost quite a few techniques/builds, or the reliability of them.

Flicking, bumping, and curtains were broken, so now we can't easily lay books flat, build stairs, make butterfly domes, etc.

I always use plates for books, and I sink it into the book, bc u used to be able to sit things on top of the book, and it would sit perfectly flush with it, no matter which book u used. I could also pick up the stacks and move them around, which u can't with just placing it on the surface

I believe, I didn’t put so much money in it but the time I invested for my house with every side just bay windows was a pain to do and then the ghosted rooms didnt work anymore. I was done with it XD

They had giant hallway rigs and stuff, and were sending houses out of bounds, so they jumped to another plot, etc

And without explaining what u r doing, to a newbie that is like a foreign language

i think the short version of that is: push hallway soo far out of bounds that it "teleports" onto a different plot while reloading.
then move the whole setup back into bounds, attach something to the hallway thats currently shown on the wrong plot.
the "teleported" hallway seemingly will get "teleported" back to the original plot because its back in bounds once u reload.

seems to be like "yeeting" items over the limit, just that the hallway still keeps its relative position out of bounds instead of showing up in lampzone

well, its about ghosting, so the connection between rooms on different plots.
ghosting was basically never used without cutting, but the big advantage was that you can move the harvest house to the correct position on your 2nd plot without hitting any collisions on your other plot

• that if you keep one room on the "2nd" plot you dont have such an ugly cut-off wall/roof

Stable boards are broken for everyone rn, and it could be a number of reasons why it won't connect. Did u remove any external pieces on the one u want to place on top? As well as the roof items of the bottom house piece?

Put ur yardwork stone pillar on a shelf. Pick up the shelf in the same spot and cancel place it about 4 small squares down from it's original position on the wall, and 4 squares to the right. Place ur second yardwork pillar on top. Pick up and place the shelf to activate.

May need to adjust the measurement I'm guestimating
