i think the alchemist cottage will be upgraded in the future, maybe with compatible fireplaces, corridors, courtyards etc. But make the house or rooms bigger ? Idk. If that's the case, that would imply to buy other rooms or even a bigger cottage. If that's the case, all rooms i purchased today would be obsolete ? I'm really confused with this direction tbh

if you left your plot at all while they were building its a bug where they disappear. if you didnt leave and they arent there check your inventory bag and your chest

not sure what could be achieved via it, but if you move stairs like this after placing them in the alchemist's cottage it leaves the hole in the ceiling behind. seems like doing it repeatedly causes certain parts to either close or open, so i think if you were to do it in the correct spacing & order you could open up the ceiling in them for a bit more room without doing two floors? i managed to carve a big plus sign out of it but couldn't get the corners lol

You don't need to build on them in order to get the achievement, but just unlocking by buying them

Don't worry I'm assuming your friends might've used the glitch called "Ghosting" in the past, where we used a plot as a placeholder for that glitch, but that glitch has been broken since the Elderwood release So you don't need to worry about "plot for glitches" as all plots are permanent build areas

Hobbit hole was what I was planning from even before this update. I was always planning on making one with the terraces, but now the inside will be able to have wallpaper and floors. (This is very much the very start--I was just playing around with trying different things.)

Also, A and B are the only way you get all the extras. You can't buy ivy, chimneys, dormers, windows, etc. separately, so it's not worth buying the base room unless you just want a box. And don't do anything during the 45 seconds or so it's constructing, or you will just get a base room, even though you paid for the A or B with the extras. Also beware picking up your room after it's built, because people have lost the extras that way, too. You can move it, but don't pick it up into your inventory. So basically, make sure you are building it on the plot you want it on. I think (although I'm not about to test it) that if you remove all the extras into your inventory before you pick up the house, you won't lose the add-ons, but best just to not pick it up at all until they fix this.

The cottages turn into base rooms with certain actions, which is what they are trying to fix. If you leave your plot while they are building, they will just be base rooms. Also sometimes if you pick up the house, you will lose the other stuff and it will turn into a base room that way. This second situation is the one Lacie is trying to gather info on.

I did the test: I dismantled all the pieces of Cottage B, keeping them in my bag, removed the cottage from the plot it was on, and placed it in the one I wanted. I reassembled everything and it works...at least I managed to do that. I just hope to have my Cottage A and the basic room, both with windows and everything else inside...I'd like to move everything into the plot I bought today, at least.🥺 🙏 😔

I use the harvest house, then the hallway, then two large rooms and a medium one (because i ran ut of rooms). I then move it like in the video, to the side of the harvest house, then removed hallway, then moved it back again a couple of times. Then it did the trick and you just move around the big house. It was easier than i thought it would be

okay, anchor is the one that stays on the plot within its limits, "ghosting" is wrong term here, u want cancelation, make sure that they are linked in a way that if u pick one connected to anchor it picks up all of them first

easiest way to be sure what is connected to what is to building it elevated

this whole part is what u want to cancel away, when u pick the primary anchor it will follow and snap back only when placed (in my case as i canceled it below it is following underground until i place the anchor XD]

bc items in palia connect in a chain-kinda way, especially blocks so u can trace what is connected to what, that last row has to be connected to 2nd/middle row of floors and added as last ones so u can pick them up

Info: I bought 2 of each building. 2 of Prefab A, 2 of Prefab B, and 2 base rooms. One of Prefab A and one of Prefab B were each missing all of their extras. I thought if I picked them up and then put them back down, they might fix, but they just turned into base rooms. Video provided of my inventory and full storage, a screenshot of my houses, and a video of my safe storage. I am missing a full set of extra items for both a Prefab A house and a Prefab B house.

Its a decor item you can get around Christmas time, you can usually put outdoor items like the spring line or grow it all out gazebo 'inside'

to add on this - during seasonal christmas shop they added an item that has "omni" surface, meaning any item can be put on it, doesnt matter what properties they have
