good luck, you can't connect them to any harvesthouse stuff and these are to an extent limited. You'd have to make a completely new house and also, you don't have the 'small, medium, large' room sizes or hallways. you can make bigger rooms by putting multiple rooms together but it sometimes looks too big

I agree with the tabs. I also wish we could put the attachments (like the ivy) on the harvest house. I feel like a better way to implement it would be to offer a selection for “skins” for the house, so you could change it to look like the cottage but without the mess, versus an entirely new structure and to let us make second stories on the harvest house with the accessories 😞 but I’m not a game developer so idk

There are no real "upgrades." They are at the register in City Hall and you have to buy multiple base houses (A or B) to get all the stuff that goes on the houses (ivy, dormers, chimney, etc).

I’m pretty sure it was 150 ancient wood, 20 Whitestone slabs, and 15 glass. Also I was able to put mine down and see what was needed…. I didn’t add anything until I had everything, but I had to go mine more Whitestone and then make Whitestone slabs, and when I came back everything was fine and it built normally with all the add ons. Just don’t leave your plot after you start building.

Ngl for me the problem only lies in the room size (one small size only) and the lack of actual windows... Which imo should have been included at release, in the end this homeline is just Harvest House with extra sockets (you can't place things like stairs freely anyway).

i built the alchemist cottage A and B, put them in storage while i built some base rooms, and theyre gone 🥹 existed the plot and reloaded as well as rebooted the game they're just not in my storage anymore

I love them!(we cannot put them on builders blocks oh no) Ive been wanting window like objects we could put anywhere and I think we can put these on builders blocks opening the possibilities for custom builds.
And I think they're fun to use in ways like this I made, i got inspo from picklemommy on here, im experimenting with more though!!

yeah it was weird at first i looked in my backpack and inventory by searching "Alch" and nothing was there. They I merged one house with another to make an aditional floor and stuff vanished again. So I looked for it in storage and only ivy was there... but this time the rest of those windows and stuff were in my bag

don't leave ur plot while cottage a and b are built and don't pick up unbuilt cottage A and B, the attachments will disappear

it will only take 45 seconds so u can easily wait then collect everything then build, just to make sure u don't miss any pieces

You can't leave/swap your plot while building the alchemist cottage or you lose the addons
The addons are unobtainable on their own

they are just not see through bcs that's a bit challenging so it makes somewhat sense that the early WIP version doesn't have it

surprised that they allow us to place windows the way we want, bcs that will be a pain for their tech art to have them work properly, if that will be their intention

Being able to place windows wherever we want has been something we’ve asked for for a long time. That said, what good does it do if the window isn’t actually a window.

I get early WIP stages, but we’ve gotten this run around for years (in general, not just with housing). And to your point, all we can do is “hope.” How many of us have been hoping for simple things that still haven’t been made. I know how you feel about the lack of tints, and that’s a perfect example. I was truly excited for this update, then I looked in here and got annoyed.

I'm a bit confused by the state of the alchemist cottage. The rooms are really small, it's a big loose of space comparing to the harvester houses. We can't build any corridors, bay windows, windows that display the exteriors, no fire places, no curtains... We can't even connect the courtyard... I feel like everything I farmed before is useless, it is really frustrating. I kind of regret losing all my gold to purchase the Alchemist bundle x)

You can't mix the basic palia housing (which includes the add-ons) with the new housing line... (They said it in the patch note)
